Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Galaxy Legends - The Movie is set to be released on both a regular and a Memorial Box DVD and Blu-ray on April 23rd! And guess what? All of these three releases will have English subtitles! Now that's what I'm talking about!

Very cool. I like the art on the cover of the box set version, with Belial's reflection. But I wouldn't call it a "memorial box".

It's actually Zero's face that's on the cover.

Why not? That is what it is called.

Ah, the character is "Ultraman Zero". I see.

IDK, I need a direct translation. Unless it has other Ultraman films in it, I cannot see how it can be a "memorial box".

Well, they have been doing this thing with all the Ultraman movies since Ultraman Mebius & Ultraman Brothers. They release both a regular single-disc DVD and a two-disc Memorial Box edition.

But isn't it odd that the term "memorial box" is used oddly on Ultraman merchandise? Because every time a Gamera or Godzilla product dons the title MB, it uses it fine. Ah, better just getting used to it.

A new article about the DVD/Blu-ray release on SciFi Japan:

The Gamera Memorial Edition (regardless of the 1965-2006 title) only contains the 2006 movie GAMERA THE BRAVE. You're probably thinking of the Z-PLAN box set.

Obviously the intention of "Memorial" is closer to something like "Special Edition".

Speaking of weird use of English, I went out to buy toothpaste earlier this week and came across this...
