Ultra Kaiju Master

Classification: Japanese First-generation Mecha Alignment: Good Height: 280 Feet [Roughly 85 Meters] Weight: 2,312 Tons Offensive Abilities: Ballistic mortar cannons: Coyote Tango has a pair of massive cannons on its back, which are supposed to flip forward onto its shoulders when used. Though they're supposed to be cannons, they may be powered or fire energy of some kind. UPDATE: In the Pacific Rim game, Coyote Tango's mortar cannons fire explosive rounds in a semi-automatic fashion; the amount of ammunition Coyote Tango carries is unknown. VP-1 Energy Caster: Coyote Tango is equipped with a pair of plasma cannons in its arm, which function much like Gipsy Danger's [most likely Coyote Tango's VP-1 Energy Caster is a prototype version of the I-19 Plasmacaster weilded by Gipsy.] The VP-1 is different however, in that its power output can vary; it can fire off a quick burst of energy, release a short, stronger burst of energy, which is swiped through the air like a beam sword, and can fire a massive stream of energy from both Energy Casters. Strengths: Not much is known, since we never see much of it [we never even get a clear look at it!], but it appears that Coyote Tango is geared towards mobility, and may be designed more towards forcing Kaiju to retreat rather than outright killing them. UPDATE: Gameplay shows that Coyote Tango is slightly slow [though not as slow as Cherno Alpha], and seems to focus on using massive firepower, and probably has the best armaments of any other Jaeger except maybe Striker Eureka. Weaknesses: An older model Jaeger, Appearance: ![]() Personality: The entire fight that Coyote Tango is in lasts about ten seconds, and is only heard, but not actually seen. But... the fact that the battle ends so quickly, with Coyote Tango recieving minimal damage, suggests that it and its pilots were pretty good fighters! Coyote Tango's light armor implies that it'd depend more on agility and its cannons to keep enemies at a distance. UPDATED: Saw how Coyote Tango fights in the video game, which emulates the slow, precise efficiency of an experienced boxer or marine, I think; Coyote Tango isn't very fast, but is strong, and is unparreled in ranged firepower! “Monsters are tragic beings. They are born too tall, too strong, too heavy. They are not evil by choice. That is their tragedy. They do not attack people because they want to, but because of their size and strength, mankind has no other choice but to defend himself. After several stories such as this, people end up having a kind of affection for the monsters. They end up caring about them.” Ishirô Honda, director of the original Godzilla film... | |
