Konishi and Tsou approached each other again. This time the exchange was much more technical. Tsou threw a palm strike at Konishi but he dodged and gripped Tsou arm. Tsou twisted his arm and pulled it back suddenly causing Konishi to step forward slightly. As he did, Tsou threw a quick strike with his free hand. Konishi blocked and stomped his foot aiming to crush Tou's own foot. A small flurry of exchanges ensued with the duo steadily grappling for footing while throwing small strikes back and forth. Tsou gripped both of Konishi's arms with an inside grip. He couldn't break away. With an odd dexterity, Tsou lifted himself into the air, coiling his feet beneath him. Tsou pulled Konishi's arms and threw himself forward aiming to blast Konishi with a powerful strike. Konishi tore his arms from the grips with a couple small circular motions and coiled himself low beneath Tsou who had extended himself completely above Konishi. As he began to windmill and unwind, Konishi blasted Tsou into the air with a leaf Hurticane attack. Kneeling, Konishi vanished, appearing upon the ceiling of the arena. Pushing off of the ceiling in a rush of wind, Konishi spun and axe kicked Tsou in his torso sending him smashing into the ground. Konishi began spinning as he descended towards his downed opponent. "Leaf Hurticane - tempest barrage!" Konishi's attack wavered slightly, slamming into Tsou's face and crushing the floor beneath his head. His neck was at an odd angle as Konishi hopped back from the exchange. Konishi took a worried step forward but Tsou stood up and twisted his head, snapping his neck back into place. Konishi suddenly felt very uneasy. This wasn't right... something unnatural... then an idea occurred to him. Maybe his opponent was a spirit sent back to test him! He had the chance to fight with a real master and he was feeling uneasy? Nah, this was the perfect chance to show everything he had! Tsou took a step forward and withdrew the nunchucks from his belt, swinging them very violently. Konishi assumed his karate stance again and wiped sweat from his forehead. Things were definitely about to heat up. |

Boogie down

"Two palms!" Juri scooted towards the closest skeleton, rotating and facing his back to the corpse puppet of Hebi's. He used his Byakugan to keep his vision focused on it, even though he was not facing it anymore. His left hand lashed out to his right side, wrapping around his own body, and thrusting forward into the skeleton's midsection. His right followed up by flipping back and hitting it in the head, both strikes emitting a chakra with scalpel like precision to hit exactly where Juri intended. "Four palms!" The Hyuga rotated his right foot around, and ducked as he spun, swooping his body, and closing the gap to the next closest. He threw in two quick jabs with his right hand, fast enough that the skeleton did not even have enough time to move or react to his attacks. The strikes blew it backwards. "Eight palms!" Juri dipped low, sliding to appear next to, and under another skeleton. He threw three powerful strikes upwards, hitting the pelvis, right hip, and then spine of the target. He popped up mid-combo, and thrusted a massive hit towards the chest, bursting it open from the force. "Sixteen palms!" The Leaf shinobi turned, and leaped forward, coming towards an unhit skeleton. Landing, he thrusted out two simultaneous hits before unleashing a flurry of blows, raining down onto the skeleton, before Juri rotated, and turned towards his next opponent. "Thirty-two palms!" His speed was rising as the attacks came in faster and faster. Juri was attacking at all angles now, rising up, and ducking low faster than the regular eye would be able to perceive. The skeleton couldn't move as bursts of chakra exploded from out of it's back, the residual from the impact of the boys attacks. "Sixty-four palms!" The Hyuga finally shouted as he turned to the last skeleton. By now, the two earlier ones had semi-recovered. That would not bode well for them. All thirty-two of his next strikes seemed to hit all at once with the lightning speed he was moving. The karmic symbol of the Hyuga clan coming into the boys vision as he painted it in his mind, slamming all three with attacks that were quick enough that Juri looked like he was barely moving. But in reality, each hit was precise and deadly, as they destroyed the skeleton's very bodies. In the end of the onslaught, Juri stood in the center of bone piles, and collapsed corpses, breathing heavily, and looking towards Hebi. "How do you... *huh* fair... without your... *huh* skeletons...?" He huffed, inching closer. Hebi backed away, looking behind her for anything she could use to escape. It was an empty room however. "I uh... I... GAAAAH!" She screamed as he advanced. |

Konishi took a deep measured breath as Tsou advanced, the wind whistling from the spinning force of the nunchucks. The first breath would give Konishi the reaction time and perception increase to be able to continue fighting without a weapon. But he could also minimize the damage to his body by balancing the technique. Any further however and he would risk self injury against an opponent who didn't seem to be affected by pain or injury himself. Tsou threw a hard downwards strike and Konishi spun, side stepping the blow. He immediately ducked and pivoted around Tsou as though dancing around the nunchucks. His fists slammed Tsou in his floating ribs seemingly to no effect. Konishi hopped back a few paces just out of reach from another flurry of attacks he couldn't dodge up close. As his toes touched the ground, Konishi seemed to blur as he shifted directions and threw a full body over hand right into Tsou's throat. The impact could be felt from the reverberation off of the walls. Tsou had his head snapped forwards but his body kept moving like an efficient machine. The nunchucks slammed into either side of Konishi's head, the sound akin to a baseball hit by a wooden bat. Tsou hit Konishi with an upwards kick to hid jaw, lifting him off of the ground and launched him across the arena with a hard roundhouse kick to his sternum. Konishi slid to a stop unmoving for several seconds as his brain had been rattled by the incredible display. Tsou landed softly and shifted his stance slightly, approaching with a measured patience. Konishi picked himself up off of the floor, the room still spinning. "You... are an incredible fighter... I can't win like this. I wanted to win with technique but... you are definitely holding the advantage there brother. But as far as brute strength and tenacity goes... It takes some real soul to match my stubbornness." Konishi closed his eyes and held his hands in front of his chest. His right hand was resting palm up, the edge of his pinky finger lightly touching his shirt with his left hand just above it, fingertips towards the ceiling in an almost prayer like gesture. Konishi took a couple of shallow breaths before taking two more large breaths. "Daisan Kassei." Konishi seemed to grow calm as he took a few slow breaths, unmoving as Tsou approached. When he opened his eyes, they were obviously dilated and his muscle mass had definitely increased suddenly. Tsou was apparently unimpressed as he suddenly charged forwards. Konishi was still unmoving as Tsou approached. ===== Third Breath (Daisan Kassei): With so much oxygen flowing through the user at this stage, the heart beat begins to slow down, but pump with much harder contractions. The user, in response, will seem to grow calm, their skin turning red from the more powerful blood flow through the body. The eyes also dilate, giving an enhanced perception and reaction time. Strength and speed are further increased at this point but so are the physical issues. Muscles begin to rear from overworking and recovery time from oxygen deprivation is increased. Possibility of an irregular heart beat becomes a problem at this stage. Edited by hmd, Jun 20 2018, 01:09 AM.

Boogie down

"Wake up... Wake up... WAKE UP!" Hebi chanted, screaming at the end as she backed away from the Konohagakure Genin. Juri had his face forward, walking out of any sort of battle stance while he confidently didn't break stride. The girl hit the wall behind her, she was in the middle of performing handseals, anything to rouse her skeletons. "I've blocked off their chakra pathways. They are useless. Nothing you can do will cause them to move. I am about to do the same to you." The Hyuga's eyes changed to his normal light color, away from the Byakugan. He knew this fight was over. "I... I... UUUUUH! I GIVE UP!" Hebi Tasumi screamed, sliding down the wall to fetal position, her hands above her head, trying to block what Juri may do to her. "Alright kid. Ya win, get outta here." Chameal walked forward, pointing at the Leaf ninja to leave. Juri nodded and smiled, walking to the doors. Just as he was about to open them, he saw Shikanira, Chogane, and Setsuna standing there. "Heeeey! You guys saw the fight?" |

Konishi moved with a supernatural grace as Tsou swung a nunchuck at him. Konishi had actually not used this technique in battle yet and was a bit taken off guard by the effects against a serious opponent. Konishi caught the nunchuck at the peak of its arc, before force could truly be applied behind it. As Tsou began to bring a leg up to kick, Konishi was simply faster. Far faster. Impact wounds caused Tsou's flesh to ripple as Konishi blasted him with a series of quick jabs. Tsou was knocked backwards, the skin stripping from his palm due to the tight grip he had on the nunchucks. Konishi had literally torn them from his grasp. Konishi threw tte nunchucks, embedding them in the wall behind him. Tsou rushed again. In this state, Konishi felt awful about what was happening now. Tsou was a mindless fighting machine. His skill level was high for sure and it was am advantage that he felt no pain but... this wasn't fun anymore. Konishi wore am expression of grief as Tsou threw a high kick followed by a quick right straight punch. Konishi dodged the kick by just enough that the material on Tsou's pants brushed his cheek. The punch however was his chance to counter. Konishi gripped the wrist as it was fully extended. Pulling the arm while he slammed the edge of his foot into Tsou's armpit, there was a terrible crunching sound that followed the dull thud of his strikes impact. Tsou moved to pivot and throw a kick but Konishi countered, slamming his heel into Tsou's knee just as his toes left the ground. Tsou dropped to his butt. One of his arms was only connected to his body by his flesh and his leg was internally crushed at the knee. As Tsou began to rise again, Konishi slapped the sides of his head over the ears causing blood to run from the ears nose, eyes, and his mouth now at this point. Tsou flipped up onto his good arm and performed a windmill kick. His arm and leg trailing behind like a macabre ribbon dance. Konishi countered again, driving his elbow into Tsou's knee. The kick whipped around his body as Tsou tried to rise to his feet. In an odd move of dexterity and power, Konishi blasted his other arm out from under him and knocked Tsou into the air a bit higher like a soccer ball. Konishi began beating the guy relentlessly, not allowing him to touch the ground. The punches and kicks almost appeared sped up as Konishi refused to relent. Blood was splattering all the way to the edges of the arena as Konishi finished the combo attac with an axe kick. The final blow sent a powerful pressure wave across the floor of the area, ripping the seal from Tsou's face inadvertently. Konishi felt his strength draining as it became apparent his own body was pretty damaged as well. Bruising became pronounced as he fell to one knee, Tsou an unmoving, broken body with human features. Konishi tried to control his breathing and let his technique taper off but he had never pushed himself so far before. His breathing became labored as he was declared the winner. One of the ANBU appeared as the proctor was checking for vital signs on his opponent. Konishi gasped for breath as his lips and cheeks turned blue. As he blacked out from the pain of his own exhausted body and lack of oxygen, he saw the proctor shake his head while holding a hand to Tsou's neck. He had killed him. |
