Well, that's pretty much my suggestion. Though I doubt this is anything close to what Damo would play it's similar to AC..Not actually, it's not. You're an assassin in modern times, you're hired by a contract agency to go out and do jobs as well as in the later games dealing with multiple other problems that arise just to add to the story. This isn't AC where you jump off buildings and stab a guy. This is poison in cake, mines in a cake, pushing people off of ledges, stealing video tapes, bombing structures so they fall on people, costume changing, fiber wire, body hiding, silent assassin type stuff. There are literally many ways to accomplish your objective and I frankly have played through this game five times, that's right. Not bored on a single run through. Perhaps this is not something Damo would LP, but meh, always good to keep the Hitman series popular and it's one of the finest series of games I have played. If Damo ever did an LP of this it would have to be Blood Money, the rest of the games are furiously difficult especially the first due to paranoid AI and bugs. The music in this game is also some of the best I have ever heard, I'm not even being unrealistic. I haven't had so much pleasure listening to a game soundtrack before Hitman. Here are some samples: I'd show some gameplay but all the gameplay would spoil the methods D: You'll have to look them up yourself if you're interested. But yes, also. Seeing as Damo never seemed to reply to an idea and I hate bumping old threads may I re-suggest King Arthur The Role-playing Wargame. The combat differs quite a lot to the Total War series and isn't as good in my honest opinion but that's just me. The rest is deciding on what path you choose on a story, what actions you take and how you build your multiple champions to lead armies of magical wonders in the time of King Arthur. Playing this through my self I actually have GIANTS fighting on my side. It's an excellent game and Damo would play it excellently. The game has a pretty interesting economy system compared to the Total War games where you can set war taxes I believe and such. It has so many nifty features I was pleased to see when I played. Also there isn't really much need to have prior knowledge to the game as when you start a new campaign it begins with the tutorial then sets you off, the game is really quite hard though so I'd recommend playing on Easy for your first run through. I know I sound like I'm trying to sell the game to all of you even though this is a "what LP's do you want to see" but hey, I found a few games looking at these suggestions so it couldn't hurt. And tbh I have no idea what Damo would be into playing, everyone has their exceptions. Edited by Ungotter, 10/08/2011 - 01:11 pm.

I've played Hitman 1 and 2 and then the third one, I can't remember it's name. I never finished any of them due to becoming increasingly frustrated with the difficulty and game structure (I'm very fussy when it comes to having to replay large portions of the game again once I've died). It would make for an interesting LP and might acutally spur me on to acutally finish a Hitman game. I wouldn't LP it anytime soon, but there may come a time when I have a gap in my schedule with nothing to fill it, a game such as Hitman maybe a game that does that job. As for King Arthur, it's a game that I still haven't got around to looking into with any great detail. Once I do I will be able to give a more definitive answer as to whether I would enjoy LPing it or not. |

Ah I see, I suppose Hitman does take a lot of time and patience. Though I believe all of the Hitman games bar Codename 47 have a save feature where you can essentially make your own checkpoints. If you ever do play a Hitman game - LP or not. (Pref Codename 47 and Blood Money, being the two I am familar with) I'd be happy to help you at all if I could. Thanks for taking a look though, hope you manage to give King Arthur a glance too, though I can understand you already have things planned and a schedule you've dedicated yourself to.

King Arthur is a brilliant game, and I'm sure someone like Damo would really play into the strategy/rpg elements. By nature it's total war-esque (they are the same genre of game after all) but I find myself more personally engaged with my campaigns and kingdoms in King Arthur than in any Total War game, likely due to those enthralling rpg aspects and a King Arthur story that evolves as you play the game. |
