Name: Rufus Hinkley

Age: 37

occupation: assassin (statoned at Mikawa)

home province: York

History:

Young years: Rufus was an ordinary young boy, born in York. He played games like football (or soccer). He studied like every other little boy of a rich family. His father is a successful wool vendor. Rufus was the first child of the family of four chhildren. This came with great responsibilities, as his father wanted his first born son to be a priest. At the young age of 7, he started training in religious ways at the York Cathedral. He didn't enjoy it at that age and he neverdid enjoy it. He pretended to enjoy his school so he could make his father proud and maybe get some love from him. All Rufus wanted was some love from his father.

Teenage years: Rufus continued his studies to become a priest and although he didn't like it, he was very good at persuading Heretics that Christianity was the right religion for them. He even persuaded the populace to burn a heretic at the stake. This earned him a mission a the age of 16: He has to go to Marseille and persuade the highly heretic population that they were following the wrong path. He fulfilled his mission quite effectively and went back to York. He was then declared a priest come of age at 18.

The middle east: At 20, he was asked to go cleanse the population from the heathen Islamic reigion in Acre. He decided to go. He visited many places on his way: Paris, Milan, Venice, Thessalonica, Constantinople, Iconium and Antioch. Je even learned French and Italian vaguely. He then reached Acre and looked for a church to preach. All there was was this strange bulding with a crescent moon on too instead of a cross. He went In and finally noticed that this "church" was actually a heathen Masijid. He then decided to build himself a small church and confessionary with the help of a few believers. The people were curious to see what thus new place was and came to see for themselves. Some people were insulted and spit in the Chalice, but others were interested in seeing how this religion worked. After 3 years of hard work, he managed to convert just over a quarter of the population, these Muslims were really tenacious.

His curiousity overwhelmed him and he had to go visit things kore eastward. He crossed a very long desert usually finding a village to stay for he night, but sometimes, he wasn't as lucky, and had to use his extra robe as a blanket. Most of the villages greeted him, as he had modified his robes for them to be more comfortable for the temperature. Strangely, they looked like imam robes, so the villages were usually mistaken into thinking he was also Muslim.

At the end of he desert, he met a people that had a religion he had never heard of before. The locals called it Hindu. They had a strange god with many arms, but these people seemed to greet people from any religion as they greeted Rufus like he was a lifelong friend of India.

Once he left India, he reached China, the country of silk and riches he had heard about. They also had a different religion, they caled it buddhism. But he found the people strange of building a great wall to defend themselves from "crazy people". He then continued his march and he reached the coast of China. He then thought his journey was over when he saw a boat leaving into the sea. He asked where it was going to. The man said it was going to Japan.

Arrival at Japan: Rufus was now 29 years old when he took A boat to reach Japan. He reached a land to a people called the Ueseugi. They also had a different religion but it ressembled the religion of China. Seeing all these religions made Rufus notice that maybe Christianity isn't right. Maybe no religion has the right answer. He preffered to think that Christianity was the closest religion to the truth. He then decided to stop being a priest as he never likes to tell a lie and Rufus wasn't sure if he was telling lies or not.

He then reached a town named Mino. It was an agitated town as it was full of assassins and criminals. Rufus learned Japanese there and found it a lot harder to learn than frech and Italian. One day, a man was running away from Something and tripped on Rufus. This made Rufus stumble and in his stumble he stabbed the man with he pointy tip of his priest stick (have no idea what it's called for real). The man he was running away from caught up and told Rufus that it took a very skilled and sneaky man to stab someone while they are running with a nicely concieved concealed weapon. Rufus tried explaining but the man never Gage him the chance and brought him to the Sake den. He opened a door hidden behind a large painting and Rufus saw that it was an assassin's lair!

After the man gave him the tour of he lair he asked if Rufus wanted to be his assisstant. Rufus thought that it would be a good idea as he was unemployed and was running out of Koku. He had plenty of Florins and pounds though, but it seems the Tokugawa do not accept european money.

Training to be an assassin: Rufus started out with simple tasks that seemed more like pranks: stealing someone's cup of sake and putting it back without them noticing who took it, making water traps on trees, destroying paintings with a wandering Shuriken. He then started doing more serious stuff: kidnapping, sabotaging and killing. He was pretty good at it. He also had some protection missions. Rufus was finally having fun while working (sick amd twisted isn't it?).

The mission: one morning, his master came to him and said that they had a new occupation: be the guarding ninjas of Tokugawa Ieyasu in Mikawa. There job was to protect him from any kind of underhanded threat. Rufus was excited o such a job. He was amazed by the size of Mikawa's fortress. He went to see the heir. He was a nice man, but he seemed to be weary about his father as he had been exchange as a hostage a couple of times before. I then promised to him that I would protect him from any threat.

Rufus then wanted to help thenwhole clan by becoming the Shinobe elder or the shinobe elder's advisor. He will see what is open to him.

Name: Takahashi Ishimoto

Age:31

Occupation: ex soldier now 2nd in command of the Royal guard of Tokugawa leyasu

Home town: Mikawa

Personality: Takahashi is selfless and would rather die on a torturing rack then betray the Daimyo or his heir; he is tough and will never run in the face of battle; he has become a skilled swordsman and horseman after fighting for Mikawa in the dark times of the uprising giving him many distinctive scars, Takahashi after many years stopping attempts at the heirs life has become sharp witted and using this trait to help plan patrols and certain defenses that can save the heirs life if needs be.

History:Takahashi does not not have much of a personal life as all the time of his life has been spent on fighting for his country. The first example of this was when he was 13 he ran away from his parents to fight for the clan in the fights for Totomi and being very tall and stocky for his age he got away with it but after occupying Totomi he was discovered. Tokugawa Hidetaga wanted him to be trained as a real soldier because of his loyalty so sent him to Mikawa. When he finally became old enough to become a soldier at 15 the capital wasn't besieged but was under pressure until a couple of years later when the Takeda with the Sato launched the great siege of Mikawa In which Takahashi suffered a great scar running across his face. After fighting so valiantly the Daimyo decided to promote him to royal guard of the heir because he needed the best soldiers to protect his most valuable child and when the battle came to Mikawa in the dark times of the uprising half of the royal guards protected the keep while the other half including Takahashi fought with the Daimyo. When leyasu was exchanged as a hostage with the Hattori, Takahashi was one of the few trusted enough to guard him in the foreign territory. After that Takahashi started moving up the ranks going through thick and thin for leyasu in personal security whether it was in a foreign territory as a hostage or in Mikawa until now where he is 2nd in command and someone leyasu has trusted with his life too many times to count.

History:

Was train by his father at a very young age to join the army. He showed excellent strategies and can adapt to any situation. His father was a Royal guard but he also taught his son about commerce and how it can help in battle on taking advantage of what you have. He considers the Daimyo a very smart man and very kind to his subjects even in times of hardship. He has risked his lives and saved countless others. In one occasion his men were pinned and he sent them to pull back while he distracted the enemy. he lost 5 men that day but saved 100.

NAME: Kimayashi Yokiyoshi. (friends and family call me kaboi)

AGE: 55.

HOME PROVINCE: Kazusa.

OCCUPATION: Running theing behind the scenes keeping tabs on everything & every one.

PERSONALITY: Realistic, down to earth, serious, devious, heavy strategic mind set, resolute and is good in tough situations.

HISTORY: Born in kakazusa, I lioved with my father for ten years. My mother died while giving birth to me. I left home at the age of 10 (i was wrong to do so but thank the gods i did) to see the lands. For three months i slitherd my way down the coast to Mikawa.

During my years in Mikawa i had to fight for my life dur to selfish citizens and there amazing sense of self preservation but i admired them for that. Espically lord hirotada because in the face of great danger he would puul threough like a ray of light bursting through the rain clouds. In one of my fights a passing ninja from Mino stopped to watch for a momment or two eventually interupting the fight to give me a slip of paper. the pice of paper read leve for Mino in 4 days. As instructed i lest for Mino 4 days later but when i got there someone was standing outside the city walls.

It was the Sake den master! He had told me about how the nija i met hed sent a letter via carrier owl. He said the letter stated that i had great potential and he requested that the den master meet me out side the city walls. -25 years later-

I am the elite of the elite and at the top of my game but i chose to disappear and leave it all behind but i left with about 10,000 koku.i slowly gained this by poketing little by little of each reward money for doing my tasks right the first time around. i move the koku over the course of 19 years (prior to going into hiding of course) to a few chests i had hidden away in the mountains of Kazusa. Yes i decided to go back to Kazusa to start to build my base entirly in secret.

I spent 4,000 koku on my base wich was built into the mountain consisting of a complete war room, dining hall, 10 rooms for agents, 5 rooms for visitors,5 rooms for my advisors, and a grand owlery for my messenger owls. I spent 5,000 on recrutment of agents (spys) wich got me some very expensive gaurds and a small network of agents that went from Sagami to Kazusa to Hitachi. Now in my my age of 55 my network expands all through out the Tokugawa, Date and some of the Hattori. Also im up two 200 agents and if one of them doubts my existantce i will have them killed cause that type of rumor would be most distastefull. the reason they would doubt me exixtantce would be because none of them ever meet me and the ones that have seen me alive ive had my agents kill them so the only person that knows of me actually living is my ever loyal retainer toshiyamata. I got news from toshiyamata that there were to be open elections for office and I jumped at the oppertuinity so that i could make a difference not just behind the scenes but openly to.

RUNNING FOR: Shinobi Elder.

PLAN: NINJA- 1 ninja per every other tokugawa province
MONKS-train 5 monks in the next two years
METSUKE-1 with each ninja (travel hand in hand)
**** 5 other backup plans are at the ready ****

My name is Yoshihairo Boruton 'Henzai' and I am 67 years old

I grew up in the aftermath of the Onin war, living in Kyoto until the age of 14. Being an orphan in a corrupt, devastated city is hard. All I had was my brother and a band of criminals called the 'warui' which I joined very young. We had to get by somehow and thieving, looting and even killing was the only way. I still remember that day when I killed someone for the first time. It pains me to think about it. That’s what drove me to run away from it all.

I spent the next few years wandering through Japan, war and devastation all around me as I passed from province to province, moving from farm to farm working my socks off to get some food and a roof over my head, but it always ended the same way: they kick me out when they find me nicking stuff. I eventually find myself in the lands of the saito, where I was recruited as a soldier at the age of 19. Two years later my little brother and I were reunited. He must have followed me there. He too joined the army and I served alongside him. I served them for a whole 16 years until I was too old and was disbanded.

In the following years I set up a criminal syndicate, the only thing apart from fighting I knew how to do. However these dark days were even worse than my days as a child because I was the one running it, I wasn’t forced to join, I could have been many other things but I chose to that. My brother disapproved and we never spoke after that. One day a strange old man whom I later new as 'Fukorou' saw potential in me which led him to propose teaching me the ways of 'Hontodesu'. I moved to Mikawa to learn this art. He taught me that my skills as a ninja shouldn't be used for criminality but for good. I was under his teaching until the age of 49:

It was the winter of 1548, the great battle of Mikawa. The daimyo called for any able bodied to pick up arms and fight against the armies of the takeda and the saito (the very clan I spent 16 years fighting for) some of my 'brothers' were fighting. I meditated to find out what I must do, and that was to fight for the Tokugawa, as if it was my destiny to serve the tokugawa - not the saito.

I was only 5 months off my 50th birthday, but my superior dexterity made light work of the soldiers as they climbed up into the castle. Everything was going well, until: I sliced a man in half as he attempted to jump on top of me, I thrust my sword into the stomach of an oncoming spearman to my left, I spun round and sliced... my brother... memories of when I was 14 flooded back to me, flashbacks of my first kill that I'd managed to push out of my head with the help of 'Fukorou'. I collapsed; I remember nothing more of the battle.

Following the battle, many people were interrogated including 'Fukorou'. Unfortunately, they got it out of him about my time as a soldier of the saito. They then killed him. The day I left the infirmary after my lucky escape from death, I was informed that I was being charged for the aforementioned reason. However, I was not being given the death penalty: because I fought on the tokugawa side during the battle they gave me an opportunity to redeem myself. They told me to get buddy-buddy with the hojo - so, when the time was right, I would have enough influence to persuade the withdrawal of their army from Izu so that it can be taken with ease. If I did this I would be pardoned, If I didn't I would be killed. I would have done it even if I had a choice.

Against all odds, I succeeded, was pardoned and the Tokugawa destroyed the hojo. After the Hojo had fallen, I became a pivotal part of the push upon the Satomi, through espionage. When Kazusa had fallen my days in the field had come to an end. I set up a ninja recruitment agency at the gambling hall there. My trainees have helped the tokugawa so much in their efforts against the Eusugi and Date.

Name: Lelouche (yes it's a little odd)
Age: 35
Gender: M
Story: Lelouche was born in a peasant family in Hokkaido, the northern island of Japan. The family was numerous and it was hard to keep all of the mouths fed. One day, Lelouche's aunt came to visit her sister's family. She was married with a wealthy merchant and led a good life. When she was leaving, Lelouche's mother begged her sister to take two of her children to spend the winter with her in the warmer south. The harvest in the latest autumn was very scarce and there was no food to keep the family fed. Reluctantly, her sister accepted one of the offsprings. After three months, the foster family took a huge liking to the child, and one year latter it was agreed that Lelouche would move permanently with his aunt and uncle. As he raised, he was instructed by his uncle in the art of trade. From time to time he visited his parents, sisters and brothers. When his uncle died, Lelouche inherited his bussiness. During the next fifteen years the trade flourished until the Shogun forbid the trade to be conducted. It lead to the bussiness ruin and Lelouche lost everything.
