Dakeu held his head in his hands as he knelt on the floor, full of anger that the Daimyo had run away. There was still fury in side of him and he was not going to let the Daimyo get away. He stood up and looked around he saw some notes that the Daimyo had been making, Dakeu thought that he was writting this before he was interupted. Dakeu moved around the room lookin for hints to help him figure out where the Daimyo had gone. Dakeu stood still listening, he could hear wimpering coming from a corner of the room, he walked slowly and catiously but to his surprise the whimpering was coming from a small boy who must of been a servent to the Daimyo. Dakeu had a large and threating smile upon his face and scared the boy so much he almost stopped breathing. "Now now theres no reason to be scared." Said Dakeu, holding a knife in his hand and playing with it in his hand. "But if you cant tell me where the Daimyo is then well...." Slam! Went Dakeu stabbing the knife into the wall. Once again the boy almost almost stopped breathing. ----------------------------------------------------------- Half an hour later Dakeu was keeping to the shadows trying to not be seen by the patrolling soilders. The boy was still alive and told Dakeu that a man had come in and told the Daimyo to go to the Temple. Dakeu was nearly there and still had fire in his heart and wanted the Daimyo dead. As hear neard he saw the Daimyo and two officers talking out side the temple. "So he things that i wont kill him in a sacred ground, idiot!" Whisperd Dakeu from behinf=d a bush about 20 meters away. "God hates me any way i hardly think a temple will save you!" Dakeu was still fidiling with his knife in his hand and was waiting for them to enter the temple. |

Yusei was shocked, both the Daimyo and Head Priestess had beaten him. In all his efforts to continue his plan, he let it get foiled by Fujiko. He gripped his fists in anger and in shock, taking a huge gulp. DAMN IT! All this time and Fujiko outsmarts me, how very perceptive she is. What do I do? If I tell the truth will they believe it? If I lie and make up a false plan, will they buy it? No, I'm out of options. Is my plan truly ruined, all my time spent has been a waste? There has to be a way to make this work? Why has this happened... He dropped his head down, lost in the deep thoughts of his own mind. Then he began laughing, his maniacal laugh, the laugh of desperation and despair. "Fujiko, you were always the perceptive one, catching on to my doings. My lord, I understand your anger." "Where to begin? My plan, my short term plan has succeeded! You hate me Fujiko, you and the other officers. You all despise me, just as I had predicted. I wanted to test the extent of which I could get someone to hate me. My plan to unite Japan under the Tokugawa is right now a success. All that I have done, was to prepare for a mass rebellion starting in Echigo, once you took the Shogunate and claimed victory over Japan. In these rebellions I would commit the most dishonourable and tracherous moves against all of Japan. Turning all of Japan towards me and my rebellion. Who would be able to save the people of Japan from this pure dishonourable acts, why not the Tokugawa. Being the only major power left you alone have the strength to beat me. In battle you would strike me down. Assuring peace and unification to last hundreds of years. ALL OF JAPAN WILL BE UNITED IN THEIR HATE FOR ME! And when it ends, they can focus on peacefully rebuilding their war torn country with the tokugawa to guide them." "The only ones that should kill are those who are prepared to be killed. I am prepared to die and be hated, mocked, despised with a passion, if it is to assure peace under the Tokugawa. I act so arrogant, dishonourable, and malicious as to gather hatred already. If I am known to be an arrogant man, then people will not doubt my motives. That is why I have not told you, it is why I need to help you win at all costs, it is why I must stay in position. I want you to win my lord, I want our officers and people to be happy in victory. Unified and gloriously triumphant against evil. I commit this evil to undone another one, the evil of death, destruction, and constant fighting amongst brothers of Japan." "Now that you know, it could look staged, I planned for this to be a surprise, a surprise that even you would be thrown off by it. But it seems you do not understand my motives, you see me as insane, I see myself enlightened. Enlightened to do my duty, use my current power to do more than the common man could do. Great things will happen when this is over my lord. I ask that you understand my goals, my beliefs, and my reasons." |

The Kensei had finished talking and a deadly silence overcame the courtyard. Seconds seemed like minutes as Hirotada remained motionless, contemplating what had just been explained to him. Only the calming trickling sound of a distant fountain could be heard. The temporary tranquility did not last long as Hirotada burst into life. "MADNESS!" The Daimyo screamed. Hirotada was furious, his eyes widened and his face contorted with rage. He drew his right hand back and brought his fist down upon Yusei's face with such speed the Kensei barely saw it coming. The resulting crack echoed around the courtyard, several gasps could be heard from the onlookers. Nobody had seen the Daimyo lose his temper like this before. Yusei initially stunned by Hirotada's actions took a step back and then began to grin again, it had become his trademark. This only heightened Hirotada's rage and he drew back his right arm again. Yusei appeared not to be interested in defending himself and the Daimyo slapped him across the face with such force that he was knocked onto one knee. "How dare you!" Hirotada exclaimed. "I am ashamed. Ashamed of you. Ashamed at myself for electing somone such as you to an office of such honour and prestige and most of all, ashamed that I did not see through this charade sooner. You hark on about unifying Japan by playing the part of the villian, allowing me to ride in on my charger and liberate Japan from your evil clutches. Nothing but selfish and deluded ideals. Why not help unify Japan through hard work and by impressing your peers and the people through your military strategies. That is what I elected you for in the first place. You obviously do not fully understand the ideals of this clan and I cannot believe you would jeopardise the lives of the people in such an outreagous scheme. There is only one way to unify Japan and you obviously do not understand how that is. You are relieved of your position as Kensei. For such dishounour I should have you killed but deep down, I think you would take some kind of pleasure in such a martyrs death considering your deluded state of mind. No, I have another plan in store for you. As of now you are banished from Tokugawa lands, if you are seen within them you will be killed on sight. I am also stripping you of all of your land and possessions. You will be cast out as a mere peasant. I hope I never set eyes on you again." Hirotada looked towards the temple and was momentarily saddened that he had lost his temper in sacred ground. He nodded at the several Samurai that were now surrounding the former Kensei. They sprung into action and began to drag Yusei out of the grounds of the temple. "Fujiko-san, I have made my choice, I can only apologise that it was such a long time coming. It looks like a new Kensei will need to be enlisted. I have also given up all hope of finding Motohisa alive. If I do not hear from him by the end of next season, I will also have to look for a new Tatami Master as well. Let us go back to the hall, it seems we have a war to prepare for and we are now two officers light, or considering our former Kensei's offerings lately, at least one and a half." Hirotada turned away from the temple and saw the feet of Yusei round the corner and disappear. He wiped his brow and sighed heavily. He hoped that this current setback would not slow the clan's progression at such a vital time. |

Yusei was dragged out of the temple, the samurai dragging his beaten body out of the gates of Mikawa. He could only watch in despair as his plan failed and the Daimyo did not believe him. The men continued dragging Yusei until they reached the borders of Mikawa and threw him right across the border. He sat there on the ground shock not moving. For 30 minutes he sat there, the guards got bored and walked away. Yusei was now in Hattori lands, enemy territory, they knew of his former status. For now Yusei had to go into hiding, still in shock he sat there for the night, not moving an inch. So many thoughts were rushing through his head, he got up and started laughing, his despair laugh, tears streaming from his face, his anger exploded, the demon in him had awoken. Enlightened and saddened he got up and made for the border. The two guards decided to come back and check on Yusei, but had not found him. Instead, Yusei came out of the bush and attacked killing one of the guard. The other guard was caught off guard and Yusei stabbed him, demanding,"You will give me your uniform and serve me, or this blade will run through your heart!" The man nodded his head, begging for mercy from Yusei, he got down and he handed Yusei his uniform. He got up and asked, "What is your will, my lord." "I, NAGAO YUSEI, AM NOW RULER OF THE NAGAO CLAN. WE EXIST TO DESTROY THE WORLD AND REBUILD IT IN A PLACE WHERE OUR NEXT GENERATION CAN LIVE, THE TOKUGAWA WILL FALL! GO AND SPREAD THE WORD OF MY RETURN!" Yusei put on the guard's uniform and looked to head up to Mikawa, to begin his grand rebellion. The man ran off, the blade still stabbed in him. |

Isamu enjoyed his tea and sipped it with the utmost elegance. "The Kensei has been banished, the Tatami Master crumbling and the Tokugawa clan is now at war with the Hattori. I have had enough! The Dayimo must be eliminated and the government toppled! The SHOGUN DEMANDS IT! I will waste no more time," Isamu shouted. Confused and muzzled, Raion slowly looked up to the ceiling in awe. "The shogun?" Isamu chuckled and a large grin appeared on his face. He took a big breath in, and sipped another section of his tea. He placed the tea on the table in front and leaned towards Raion. He signaled the guard at the door to leave, and then shut the door behind him. "The Shogun wishes the Dayimo to be dealt with. He must die for disturbing the peace of our realm. He has assigned me to TAKE BACK...what he has lost. And I shall not fail him, Raion. And if the gods are with you, then you shall join. But my apprentice...is their no way to topple the government too?" "My lord, a chance has indeed shown itself. It may be the only chance we have to take them out. I saw Yusei outside Mikawa. He is planning something, a little revenge present. He fights for the Nagao clan, but I'm sure the Shogun will be pleased with any plan to defeat Hirotida. The Shogun will be feared once more, master." "Excellent. You have surpassed my expectations Raion. In time revenge will be satisfied. Now quickly you must go. Find Yusei and join him. I will raise support and begin to recruit...and will inform the Shogun of this great oppurtunity. Raion nodded and rushed out. |

Tanimoto gazed across the border wondering where the Hattori are hiding, waitting to strike. It's been 6 weeks since the war with the Hattori started and tanimoto's company have been assigned to patrol duty. It seemed odd to only send one company of men to patrol the borders but he did not object, in fact he loved it. He has been away from his home province, Owari, for too long and it felt good to be back. "My, how much things change in such a short amount of time" said Tanimoto as his men rested in the afternoon sun. With winter fast approaching Tanimoto is hoping to be finishing patrolling the borders and back inside the Castle-town of Owari. "Alright men, I want to get to the bridge by the end of the day. Let's move out!" Just as Tanimoto was readying his men to leave one of his scouts comes crashing through the camp, with terror in his eyes. "CAPTIAN, CAPTAIN, YOU MUST COME SEE THIS QUICKLY!!" Tanimoto followed the scout with ten of his men following to the what terroffied the scout and when they came too it, it left an uneasy feelling in Tanimoto's heart. There on the ground was a Royal Guard, but not just any Royal Guard but someone that Tanimoto admired, respected, cared for, loved..........His own Father. "FATHER!!!!!!" cried Tanimoto as he rushed to the body to find that his father was stabbed in the chest by a dagger. His men gaved him some spaced has he grieved for his lost father but Tanimoto knew he needed to composed himself and figure out who did this. He raised himself off the ground and scanned the area. There where two sets of tracks and drag marks from a body being drag but old and happen 2-4 days ago. But what frighten him the most and the scout where the more fresher tracks. In front of him was a trampled area where about 800 men where marching. Tanimoto didn't know what to expect but he found something on the ground that caught his eye. A peice of cloth with the Hattori Mon. But something about it didn't seem quite right but he couldn't put his finger on it, but he knew what he had to do. He gathered his men as they carried the body of his father and went back to the camp and started heading at a fast pace to Owari to warn about the army coming. To Prepare for WAR! Isamu hurried through the dark alleyway and got onto his beloved horse, Shadow. From there he would embark on his new adventure; He is to meet a contact sent directly from the Shogunate. Isamu's Black Riders were patiently waiting at camp. Waiting for that moment when The Tokugawa Clan is crushed and unity is accomplished. That moment when the great Dayimo is murdered in cold blood. A moment that will change history forever. Isamu looked up at the stars that shined brightly in the night sky and whispered to the cold winds; "Forgive me, my lord. Unity must be achieved and this degenerate of a man who calls himself a leader must be crushed! For too long have I lived in the shadows waiting for my enemies, now is the time for me to reveal myself and get revenge. My achievements as an honored general have earned me nothing! BAH! Arrogant leaders and bickering fools of the council!" Finishing talking to himself, Isamu motioned Shadow to ride into the night. The beautiful steed rode as fast as she could, so fast that Isamu felt as though he was flying in the wind. Of course, the feeling soon ended when he reached his destination. An abandoned meadow with a small wooden rice shed located in the center. This is where Isamu was instructed to meet up with the Shogunate agent. Isamu entered the eerie building. Being a fierce general, fear wasn't something Isamu felt. Ever. A shadowy silhouette emerged, not showing it's face. It spoke: "Isamu, The Shogunate's army is being readied. Final preparations are being made and we will take back what Hirotada infected! WE WILL TAKE BACK WHAT IS RIGHTFULLY OURS and you will be a commanding officer in The Shogunate's army. You will finally receive the recognition you so desire. We are aware that Hirotada shows you no notice. He merely sees you as a peasant general! What arrogance! The Tokugawa Clan is spreading like a disease and it must be stopped. We will CRUSH them into the sands. The mighty Hirotada will fall in the process and bow down to the one true power of Japan! THE SHOGUNATE!" Isamu smiled maliciously. "Excellent. My apprentice is currently speaking with Yusei in Mikawa. The Nagao may ally themselves with us if all go's to plan." The two then went their separate ways. |

Casually strolling out of the city, the man who delivered the ransom left Mikawa walked and towards the North-East ((east on the game map)). Left with no guards but as soon as he was out of range of the vision of the guards in the city a four guards arrived from a small camp, now abandoned, in the mountain and met up with him, and they carried on their way, avoiding the road and taking passes in the mountain and occasionally the forests. The walking pace of the small party was leisurely. He did not expect anyone to follow him, but the question is would they? |

Nagao Yusei, under the guise of a town guard, walked into the gates of Mikawa. His first step was to discard his past image. However, his eye wound had caused enough damage to be scarred for life. Yusei began to remove the bandages, revealing a large gash across his eye. He let his hair grow out, a mess on his head. As long as Yusei kept his sat on, no one would notice him, until he came up with a better disguise. Having worked as Kensei, Yusei was taught the basic patrols and duties of a guard in the town. Using this new knowledge to his advantage, Yusei was hardly suspected of being an exile. He began his next step, gathering support for his rebellion. Now that the Daimyo, who betrayed Yusei and threw him into exile, Yusei vows to make Hirotada regret his actions. He will obliterate the Tokugawa! He stepped into the Sake Den, the same Den where he was attacked before, where memories lingered in the air, as if waiting to disappear or be recollected. The air was musty, as he stepped in. The sights of prostitutes, drunkards, and mercenaries-for-hire, were common. The samurai guard, who had actually passed away from his wound, gave the warning to potential friends and foes. He had only heard from two important applicants. A samurai, Raion, and a mysterious man by the name of Dakeu. Both could be pivotal pawns to his ultimate goal. Along with the two he had directly heard from, numerous others, ashigaru and samurai alike, were enlisting to the Nagao Clan. Which Yusei had decided to only refer to them as the Black Samurai. Warriors for justice, as it was in his mind. They had decided to wear black colored armor with pitch black faceguards. Their first mission were to occur as soon as his meeting was finished with Dakeu, and Raion. He sat there patiently, sipping some Sake to draw away any suspicion. Tapping the table, Yusei waited for his first visitor. |

Lifting up his sake, a muscular man loudly cheered with his group of three other friends. As the cheering was dying down, the muscular man got up and sat himself down opposite of the former Sword Master, sake still in hand. Quickly glancing around, the man took a sip of his sake. After a few seconds, the man whispered in a gruff voice “You, my masters have heard about you. I hope you won’t take offence we have had you followed and studied. Oh, and about the introductions, there is need for them; I know you and all you need to know is I work for powerful men. They aren’t exactly the best friends of the Tokugawa shall we say. We can provide some support and some high quality blades for any men you gather. Now, if your interested in keeping your newly created clan together after you own Mikawa then we may also be able to provide some assistance there, our talents are quite good in that type of thing. So, are you interested?” After he had finished speaking, he gulped down some more sake and then let out a booming laugh. |

Yusei grinned, not his usual grin, the grin of sure happiness and gratitude. He had changed many of his personalities, as if dying when the Daimyo exiled him. He nodded at the muscular man in front of him, giving him a warm pat on the back. "Thank you, good man, tell your superiors that any further assistance in the form of weaponry and armor is most graciously received. In return, I offer your masters the protection of the Black Samurai. Fighting to end the Tokugawa oppression. With me as their leader, we cannot surely fail." Taking a leisurely sip of sake, being unusually joyful for the first time in a while, he continued,"Now I ask that you accept the terms of this contract we make and the deal is done." |

Once again, the man let out on of his booming laughs before proceeding to whisper “I cannot discuss the deal fully here, instead I should direct you to my master. He shall discuss what other services he can provide in addition to the equipment, some of which you will find most helpful I believe. Oh and just a tip, don’t pretend that your superior to him when you meet him, he won’t like that. But anyway, how would you like to meet with him? He has a home in the city or you could meet outside somewhere or pretty much anything else you could want him to do he would be able to do, within reason that is” After having finished whispering, he gulped down some more sake. |

Giving an obvious fake laugh as if joking with the man before him, Yusei leaned forward to speak,"We shall discuss the matter outside of Mikawa, for the moment my time here will be short. The Black Samurai will meet you at the given coordinates. Thank you for this discussion." |

Laughing again the man’s voice boomed saying “You’re quite the nice man to be around, I’ll have to talk to you again one day”. Then, he got closer to him and began to whisper “My master will be there then, you will know it’s him as he will be dressed in long black robes and he will greet you with ‘the weak man says hello’ and you need to respond with ‘and the strong man says victory’ .” The man rose from his seat, his booming laughter sounding again, He began to walk to the exit and boomed “goodbye, it was nice talking with you”. |

Raion watched as Yusei said his final goodbyes to a mysterious man...Raion had no recollection of. But the minute the other man turned away from the Sake Den, Raion moved in. He was not one for nice greetings and such pleasantries. He swiftly moved towards the rebel leader, and firmly gripped his uniform and pushed him back into the corner of the Sake Den. It was done with such precision no one even noticed. But the ex-kensi nearly pulled out his blade, and Raion was forced to lean in and shove his Katana back into its holder. He shoved him back into the wall. He let go and leaned in close to the ear of the man. "Now listen very closely to what I'm about to say for I will only say it once. Your rebellion is exactly the thing I need, and I am exactly what you need. So lets just go over this so we can move on with our lives. I want no NEED the tokugawa destroyed...and you need manpower, well I can give that to you. I am an agent of the Shogun, a Shogun who is quite interested in your efforts. He requires you take what troops you have and move them in time to Kyoto. There he will supply you with troops and equipment. And when the time is right and the Hattori have been defeated with one decisive blow we can strike the Tokugawa at its heart. You might have an army of 20 or 30. My master and the Shogun can give you one of 1000 troops loyal under your command. I shall join the black warriors with my master, and we shall give you a fighting force without end. And when it is all over...you my friend shall be compensated from the Shogun's personal treasuries. So what say you!?" |
