As Roberto Rodrigo walked onto the town square, He raised his vocie and told the frantically moving peseants that Japan had divided and soon all the clans would have to join with the Tokugawa or against them. He told them that if the Tokugawa were to be attacked trade between the clans would soon not flow. Roberto then told them of trade with the Nanbans and the possibility of prosperity. He showed them the Portugese guns and boats. He then took out a peice of paper and told each of the to either check Yay or Nay and petition this to the Damyio.

Icorisu walks by sees Rodrigo and calmly grabs the paper and checks nay "I understand you have the good of clan Tokugawa at heart" Icorisu says sarcastically "but i must check nay for it would cause far to much unrest in this the home of our mighty and powerful daimyo and with all the officers gather together it is far to dangerous and foolish for me to check otherwise Good day" he explains as he causally strides away and with one finnal statment he says "of course not many of your kind survive long enough to prove that you do care" he says unsheathing his katana

A man in a dark kimono and a headband sidles up behind Rodrigo. On his back is the sword of a samurai, but underneath his robes are a vast array of consealed weapons. Resting a hand on Rodrigo's shoulder, he whispers into the European's ear, his voice low and menacing. "You had better be careful, friend. These streets can be very dangerous. Watch your step around here, Hattori Mokudo would hate for something bad to happen to you." With that, the man turns on his heel and walks off. Unseen, several hooded and masked heads stare intently at the European from their hiding places, waiting for an order.

"Now both of you there is no need to be so rash in your decisions" Rodgrigo said. "You have a situation you do not wish to acknowledge. Therefore you unaware of the calibere of disaster. You and your clan are in a pretty sticky situation trade between all clans is about to shut down, your Damiyo is going to need a source of trade income to become Damyio, and I am that source of income. And if you men and your Damyio choose to expliot this opportunity. You and your clan can attack the other clans trade routes and take that income for yourself. I just want you to understand before you start attacking me." Rodgrigo exclaimedto the two men.

Fujiko had just gone to the market with two of her ronin companions to buy supplies for the rebuilding of the temple, when she heard the commotion in the square.

Calmly she walked up to the three men and recognised the Shinobi Elder's agent among them. "Now, now, there's no need for unexplained corpses to turn up in the streets. Everybody has the right to speak their mind in public. As the Head Priestess I have every faith in the good people of the Tokugawa to make the right decisions. The poll says it all. I do appreciate your master's intentions, though. Convey my thanks to him." The agent bowed and left.

Then she turned calmly to Rodrigo. "You must think us fools, good man. The people's choice is my law and their will has been made clear here. Were it not for my station itself, the people's judgement does not warrant my support of this proposal either.

Preparations for new trade routes are already being made, both with future vassals and overseas trade in the north. Both are less invasive than yours. You are not a source of income. You are trouble. Troops and agents to counter those cross-bearing and robed fanatics you call men of god, will eat up more money than we could ever gain from your trade.

On top of everything you foreigners must think us not even capable of tying our own shoes, don't you? Attacking other clan's trade routes and taking their income? Indeed a good suggestion. One that I myself have made in the past. However I do not see why we would need you to do so. Our navies will do the fighting, after all."

Fujiko gave the foreigner a pitying smile. "You seem so desperate, little man. It looks to me as if you are the only one who would stand to gain from such a proposal. You Europeans are so transparant. We are neither savages nor idiots. Now I bid you good day." With that Fujiko turned back to the road towards the temple, her two companions giving Rodrigo one last growling look and then following right behind her.

"Milady" Icorisu says with a bow "I must apologize for my inexcusable behavior it was an honor to meet you and the shinobi elder and as for you Rodrigo i do not apologize for saying nay but i do apologize for the threat i am generally calm but a danger from within the clan enraged me very quickly" with that Icorisu leaves to go pray at a temple to relent his sins

Abunuj had been told of some commotion going on in the Square and had to investigate, or at least get involved. While on his way there he saw a bit of movement in the shadows, a hooded and masked man. He seemed to have no weapons and was well hidden, he must have a Great Teacher teaching him, as if he hadn't moved Abunuj would have walked right past him. When he arrived to his surprise he saw 2 of the 4 new officers along with 2 other men. The Shinoi Elder himself and Head Priestess where in the square at the same time, this was the first time he had ever actually meet either. Then Abunuj realized that the masked man was probably and agent of Mokudo, and that he had brought him along because he was angry about whatever the commotion was about. But he was to late to talk to Fujiko as she was walking off already, he hoped Mukudo wouldn't do the same.

"What is this all about? Oh yes, the petition on the Nanban Trade Port, I thought the petition was a good idea! Of course I still checked Nay on it. Now with all do respect Mukudo-Sama there is no need to threaten this man, yes I saw one of your masked agents while I was making my way to the commotion. I have had several years in the... killing business myself and I must tell you how well you had placed him, if he had just stayed still there would have been no problem. Now you see, this mans petition can inspire many more petitions, hopefully not on the same topic, which would get the people including me more involved. And we know the people are the most important part of the clan! I repeat with all due respect Mokudo-Sama.

Anunuj turned to the man who started the petitiom, Roberto Rodrigo, by name he is obviously foriegn and shouldn't be trusted. But he had some respect from Abunuj getting across that we do not what a Nanban Trade Port. He studied this mans expression, he had a small fear that was dieing down fast. He began to open his mouth but Abunuj stopped him "Thank you for putting up this petition, it has gotten across that are clan is in no need for this Nanban Trade Port. I would highly suggest that you move along and go back to your homeland, our people don't like the kinds of you.

Abunuj turned back towards Mokudo and waited for a response. This man had obviously had a lot of time in the business as he showed no emotion on his face at the time. Abunuj waited.....

When Hino entered the city, the guards were talking about an outlander walking the streets and trying to convince people about something.

"Where can I find him?" asked Hino interruptin the conversation
"Who, this man who seeks death?"
"Yes"
"You will find him in the central plaza"

It was very easy to find the stranger, everyone avoidd him, giving him suspicios and even murderous looks. Hino approached him with a smile. He saw the paper in the stranger's hand and after reading it, voted Yay." The stranger smiled.

"What I actually want to ask of you, is a way to get out of Nihon. You, that came from so far away must know a way to do it. I am looking for a way to flee this lands.". Hino waited for the answer, fearing even to breathe.

He looked at the confronting man in the face with a cold hard stare, but finally Rodrigo backed down and said with an almost threatining tone "you win my friend i'm going off to the sake den if you need." He left the man with a cold dark stare. As he was heading of to the sake den to sip on his well deserved wine ( which he brought from Portugal), but he was confronted by a man with a paper that said Yay one it. intrigued, by that the man then told him of his proposition ( see post above.) Rodrigo replied "Sir I am sorry for this, but I can't get of the island my only galleon is packed to the brink, and now I don't even know if I am going to be able to dock here now."

Since they had left, the scene seemed to have gotten even more tumultuos. Ryu and Tomohisa, the two ronin who had accompanied Fujiko before, took one glance at each other and nodded. Side by side they shouldered their way through the crowd.

When they reached Roberto Rodrigo each one of them placed a firm hand on each of the foreigner's arms. With little effort they picked the man off the ground. "The Head Priestess asks for your presence at the temple," Ryu said in a low voice.

Tomohisa mustered the crowd. "Alright, people," he said for all to hear, "there's nothing more to see here. Fujiko-sama has heard the voice of the people. This petition is dead. Now go home or have a cup of sake in the den. There's no need for things to get ugly here."

With that the two samurai turned and carried the foreigner, who was scared stiff, away with them en route to the temple.
