Lulu entered the Hall. It was almost empty. The city sounds barely invaded the room, making it seem that all the trivial matters were just left outside. For a moment Lulu gave his matter another thought, it might not have been anything, or... He advanced through the hall, but the daymio's seat was empty, however one of the officers was present.

"Head priestess, My name is Lelouche Lamperouge." Lulu made a deep bow. "I had a message to deliver to the counsel, but it seems that at the moment you are the only one present, so I'll trust this matter to you"

"One of my captains spotted a navy transporting troops. Because of natural causes he could not distinguish their flag nor the ammount of the navy, so we don't have an exact number, but we have the aproxximation of at least several hundred soldiers. It might be the chosokabe a third fleet, or it might be another clan. The tokugawa has no friends in the southern waters. None of my contacts have any knowledge about them, and that's why I thougth it would be prudent to inform the officers." Lulu bowed again and gave the Head priestess a small parchment with all the information.

The Hall was more splendid than it was a year ago. It had new decorations and more people than Lulu remembered. However he was not alone. A whole entourage was following him. When they reached the throne, Lulu made a deep bow.

- Our honourable daymio, I humbly come towards you with a request. And please, to sweeten the mood accept this gifts I bring to you.

One by one, the servants came and went. The first one held a katana.

- This is the sword of Amaterasu, the godess of the sun. May it bring you great victories and swift death to your enemies. There is none equal to it in this world. I know that our priestess know how important is that a leader shows that he values the same gods as his people.

Next, a man came, with a lot of stuningly crafted bottles in shapes of different animals, from swans to bears, containing liquids by all different colours.

- This are exquisite drinks from half a world away. Every bottle contains a unique flavour. A sip of it will help you relax after a stiff day.

The third one brought a flaming coloured war-horse, stronglegged and with quite a temper.

After fifteen minutes all the gifts were ditributed. The officers also received their share. The shinobi elder received a dagger made of marble , the tatami master an advice from the fellow coin master to another. The priestess received a small and delicate red crystal that was rumoured to be the last tear of Izanagi, and the Yusei a shield so light yet so strong that could defy any battle logic.

- And now, I will share with you my problem, and I shall listen to your wise words, and if the gods are good, we may reach an agreement. I am a merchant, and lately I have been experiencing a lot of problems. The trade goods vanish one after another, and the reports all say the same. Ambushed by rebels. If it were a minor problem, I could have hired sellswords and take care of the matter, but we all know who are the heads of this problem, and considering their past, I came before you, seeking your advice and your help. May I try to solve this problem, that is both yours and mine, or does our Honourable Daymio have better plans?

Silenced reigned the hall.

Hirotada looked quite impressed with his gifts, he had not received such for some time. When he had admired them each in turn, he had Hitoshi take them away to his private quarters so that he could study them in more detail later.

"I thank you for such fine gifts." Hirotada said Lulu. "You say you are a merchant and judging by what I have just seen, quite a successful one. Our clan need more men such as you, I'm sure many of our clansmen are thankful for the services you provide." Hirotada stood up from his seat.

"It is a shame that your hard work is being tainted by such lowlife. I am aware of the men you speak of and I have my own men that are preparing to deal with these rebels. You ask if you should try and solve this problem; I am intrigued. How would you attempt to do this and more importantly do you have any services that would assist me in getting rid of this problem you speak of?"

Starve them out. I have speculations that their numbers have drastically increased, the more they are, the faster this might work. In that case they'll have to rush their plans, and a rushed plan has many flaws. The speculation about their numbers incresing is related to a message I brought a while ago speaking of an undetified fleet roaming the waters. Information gathering is not easy. They have skillful counter-measures against spying. Only one of the five spies I spent on reconaiscence returned. Strangely, it's not them who get out of their safe area, but someone sends them food from within the castle. And this is all I know.

I would rather not use violence, but if an army comes out of the wilds with sword and shield in their hands, we'll have to resort to it.
