This is an area that i have created so that people who are not officers can offer advice to the officer. Also you officers can share thier ideas to the people to see what we think. Overall i aim to achieve coherance between the people of the mighty Tokugawa clan. Enjoy

i believe the kensei should swiftfly organize an army to take kyoto since the only lands blocking are hattori and our own lands so you can reach it quicker. |

A blitzkrieg (flash war) over date would make the ucoming events much easier. |

i agree with vazio a quick attack on kyoto will bring you easier times ahead i recommend a naval force with an army on it to lans in the hattori lands and march to kyoto to swiftly besiege it. |

A quick attack on Kyoto at this point would fail, not enough spare troops to take it |

I dont think a quick strike on kyoto will fail. Because if your talking about upkeep costs the daimyo can certainly just up the taxes. Also if your talking about insuffiecient manpower only one army is needed to take kyoto and one army take take the remaing useugi land up north and defend against a date invasion. We can also use the hattori lands as a buffer zone which the western clans cannot attck us the only threat is probably that they'll try to land troops in our homelands, but a small naval force should suffice. Ao I don't believe that a quick strike on kyoto will fail. I'm sure there are other ways but I believe this is the most effiecent.

Finish the Date of, and secure Northern Japan. Keep giving the Hattori money to appease them, while slowly building up our forces near the capital. Bring Motochomori down to our capital to keep a vigil. The quicker the Date is eradicated to easier it is to deal with the main onslaught coming from inland. |

This is less "advice" and more something to think about... but after we claim Sado, should we keep it for ourselves on account of its gold mines or should we make it another vassal and use it as a trade partner, one more remote and less prone to being invaded?

If he raised taxes then half his provinces would rebel (he would have to have one turn high taxes one turn normal and repeat), and the shoguns army is a full stack with mostly experienced samurai if i remember correctly so he would need an extra half stack to be safe, and considering how long this army would take to build the hattori will have likely declared war by then, however i did misjudge how much his income would go down by so he could afford it but to it's not really a very realistic goal unless he is sure he can keep the hattori from attacking for a good 20-30 turns. The other thing to consider is as soon as he becomes Shogun, realm divide affects vassles too so he would have to pay them money or more simply crush them, not that they are a big threat its just inconvineint

It would never work, we can not attack a huge fortress with one army of ashigaru that faces a full army of samurai. Plus i dont really want to see a quick trip and then see it over we want excitement. In med damo did not just simply take Jerusalem, he took aload of settlements around it and i think somethink as eciting as that should end it. |

@ lover total war well if you want excitement I guess that will happen with the date but I guess you are right abput the ashigaru armies but it shouldnt be that hard to raise a samurai army the biggest problem for kyoto is that there are billions of archers so just rushing kyoto will just utterly fail so maybe naginata samurai might be good. |

training enough samurai to take over kyoto would take like 20 turns and would waste resources needed for the war with the date I don't know what the island is called but there is an island just north where the Uesugi started and it hasd a gold mine, so i would take that as soon as possible |

i dont think so because from what I saw the date shouldnt have that many forces either way damo should send the ninja more in to see if the date have a big force as of the island I agree on taking that. Also we should take it before the hattori take it even though im not sure they will. Which reminds me that the hattori should have a few troops to help us out. |

The Date will likely have a full stack somewhere at least, every AI clan usually has at least one full stack so it's just a case of locating it |

exactly so sending the ninja in to find it is most important. Also i think one army is enough to take control of the date lands. |
