The land was silent and still , Raion and Yusei were on their horses directly beside each other. The time was finally here, it was time to leave the forest. It was bright day, this was no surprise attack, no trickery, no child play, this was a direct assault on the walls of Mikawa. Behind them laid 900 battle ready troops to launch the attack on the city. Seckea rode next to Raion and beside him was General Erato, who was shaking steadily.

The mighty walls of the city stood high over the city. Raion rode forward, it was nearly time. He turned and greeted his army.

"Before you lies destiny, whether glory or death. Today each one of us is proposed with a choice, will you coward and run or will you stand and fight!? It takes true men to look at the world ahead and say "I wish to change it". Well my brothers, today you have that oppurtunity, to defy even the strongest of men and watch them CRUMBLE at your feet! TODAY! Today, by the GODS, today, prove yourself worthy and show the enemy before you that you shall stand up! No longer shall the Tokugawa conquer under a tyrannical rule and spill the blood of our Japanese brothers. WILL YOU STAND AND FIGHT!? WILL YOU PROVE WHAT IS RIGHT? WILL YOU BE VICTORIOUS? WILL YOU JOIN ME BROTHERS !? FOR THE NAGOA CLAN! FOR THE SHOUGN! FOR THE EMPEROR! CHARGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

With an erupting scream that the even the gods would fear, the armies of the rebellion descended upon Mikawa.

Valor with honor, treason with death

All was silent as Icorisu did his rounds atop the walls when out of nowhere a cheer arose the scream of "Charge" was heard that roared above the winds. Icorisu stood above the walls and loomed taller than all his men and in a voice that seemed supernatural he said

"Men hear come the foolish knaves of a rebellion who have given themselves a name the foolish clan of Nagoa today we stand here to halt their advance our stand is here we will halt them before they reach our families before they reach our homes before they reach the inner gates and you who sheds him blood with me on this day of honor shall be my brother we few we happy few we band of brothers will halt this tide here. Hold the walls!!!!!!!!!"

to that erupted a cheer that could be heard from Sagami

the last thing heard before the cheer drowned out all else was "archers prepare flaming arrows"

Wano was mounted on his horse that was a black as night itself. Donned in black deer hide armour, his katana was in his sheath. Razor sharp, its edge would prove deadly to any who would oppose him. Engraved with the Red Dragon mon, his katana was glittering in the sun. His daughter was mounted far away from the battle, with two mounted shadow samurai guards to assist her escape if things go poorly in the battle. Meanwhile, Shadow Samurai that had infiltrated the troops in the defender’s forces stood ready to cause havoc when the time was most suitable. Meanwhile, Shadow Samurai who had lived in the city of Mikawa for years were near their houses, blades and fire bombs concluded and ready. Their goal was simple, to cause chaos in the city in an effort to either draw men away from the castle, or frighten the castle defenders. The city itself was a fairly short distance away from the castle. Between it and the rebel army was the castle itself.

Wano heard orders and inspiring words being shouted as the men were rallied on both sides of the conflict. Smirking, he knew his Shadow Samurai would shortly begin their work. The element of surprise was theirs. To think he had worried about that old Tatami Master Motohisa giving away information. Such a shame his Hattori allies couldn’t be here for this battle, Wano thought to him, all they had ever done was fail him anyway by allowing that fool called Motohisa to escape that he had so generously provided them. Not like they managed to do much with his gift anyway, but that matter was in the past and now has minimal effect due to the decisions taken prior to the battle.

In the actual City of Mikawa, the Shadow Samurai had already begun their work. There was only about fifteen of them, yet it would be plenty to do damage. Throwing the fire bombs all around the city, the set the housing of the people ablaze before quickly escaping the scene and setting other parts of the city alight. A roaring inferno soon raged throughout the city itself, with the defenders left in the city desperately trying to quench the beast and find the culprits. Wooden buildings spread the fire around, so despite the lack of actual fire available to the Shadow Samurai they could make a deadly blaze. Their goal was simple: win or lose leave the city a smoking ruin and destroy the moral of the defenders. Only a few fire bombs remained on the Shadow Samurai’s these ones saved for special building of key significance. Having finished phase one of the chaos, the Shadow Samurai in the city began to group together to begin the second part as well as protect each other. A few of the Samurai had fallen to the defenders, but the majority remained alive.

Meanwhile, more Shadow Samurai were with the defenders in the castle. Slightly over twenty men had managed to succeed in recently joining the military forces undetected. It was much easier to achieve as years upon years were not needed to merge with the normal military inhabitants. Some compared Shadow Samurai to Ninja’s, but they would be wrong. Shadow Samurai are more like turncoats who had planned their rebellion months, often years in advance. The Shadow Samurai had managed to gather together in the chaos of the battle preparation near the gate nearest the approaching invaders. Dressed in the standard armour worn by the Tokugawa Samurai, no one would know in a battle that they were not loyal troops. However, a few had been detected prior to the battle; there was always a great risk when you were a Shadow Samurai. Most of the Shadow Samurai in the whole of Japan had gathered here over the course of years, waiting for this inevitable conflict. Most of the ones in the army however, but not all, were relatively new to the Tokugawa and the castle. This made them no less deadly in combat. Their plan was to support the attackers, likely at the cost of their lives, by storming the gate controls and opening the gates, allowing the rebellion another entrance point. This would take place when the attackers began to approach the walls, so as not to waste their lives foolishly. Any who managed to survive until they met up with reinforcements would then proceed to kill as many Tokugawa troops as possible. Seeing men in their own armour turn on them would likely confuse and demoralise the defenders, Wano hoped it would be enough.

Two however, had orders not to do this. They would have to find key targets and kill them in the mist of combat, a very dangerous role to be sure and likely to fail as a battle was a very chaotic place so finding a target is near impossible. Their lists of targets included the Daimyo of the Tokugawa as well as any captains of the defenders. There was also one stranger target they had, the leader of the rebels: Yusei. However this target was to be sure not to be killed until the Daimyo of the Tokugawa had fallen first.

If all went well, Wano would be in control of the main army with Yusei hopefully dead and the ability for strategic marriages with his final daughter as well as a few persuasive words where needed. No one would be able to tell his men would be the ones who killed them, as they would be disgused as Tokugawa troops and in the eyes of the others he was too old and feeble to be a threat. Even if he failed to kill him, Yusei would be able to take no action against Wano as there were now family. A man who dishonoured himself by publicly killing his family would lose all support. With the Tokugawa Daimyo also slain the Tokugawa would be so infuriated they would rashly march towards the rebels to extract vengeance. Then the Hattori, who’s now dead Daimyo had made an agreement with Wano, would be able to retake some of their land. Sensing weakness, the Tokugawa vassals would also likely turn on their overlords. Wano would be able to lead his forces around when all of this had occurred and capture the lightly defended land in the Tokugawa heart and gain land himself. Hattori support for his claim would then be assured so he could reveal to the world what the Red Dragon meant. The dragon would soon soar high up into the sky. However, this all relied on victory in the battle and Yusei’s death. He knew Fumika was already pregnant as hoped, so his bloodline would carry on after his death and his claim to be the leader of the rebellion would be further supported by the true unborn heir. Wano hopped he would live a few years yet, but he did not lie to himself. He was old, but that had not dulled his blade of his wits. Those were all he had since his birth and they had gotten him far in life. The gods would assist the true Shogun, so the Tokugawa would fall.

Matoki ran with his men, trails of smoke swooping through the air from the archerfire on the walls. He could hear the screams of men burning to death, rolling around and exploding in agony. His men had finally reached the walls, and to Matoki's knowlege none of his men had been hit by the archers. Those that had been hit would not stop the charge, however. Matoki had been to battle few times in his life, though he always knew when morale would break. His forces wouldn't break this time.

Matoki climbed up with his men. One stone at a time, he always told them. Don't pay attention to what's above you or below you, just focus on the stones. The truth was of course, that falling could cause a domino effect of men falling down the walls. 5+ casualties right there depending on how high the walls were. If someone above you fell, you were screwed even more. Falling to a painful death, though you had the cushions of 3 other guys that fell beneath you. Matoki knew his men would make it up, but the archer fire would make the situation much more difficult. An arrow hissed passed Matoki's ear and hit the man underneath him in the arm. The man went into shock, and immediately grabbed his good arm on to Matoki's leg. With a sharp kick, Matoki sent his own man down the walls, taking down at least 6 others with him. There goes nearly a fifth of my force, thought Matoki angrily. Men that I grew up with. Men that I've been training with for all my life. Matoki swallowed hard and continued to climb, realizing that many more would sacrifice their lives for the cause of the rebellion.

The climb seemed to take forever. He could hear the screams as men were shot off the walls. He could see his friends grasping onto lone stones, desperately trying to hang on for their lives. And then have it all taken away when an archer hit the hand with a flaming arrow. The higher the climb, the longer the fall. Sad but true. And at last, Matoki climbed over the final Barricade and estimated that about 35 out of his 50 men survived the climb up, but there was no time for math. He quickly took out his Katana and began slicing away at the bowmen on the walls. The bowmen then began to fall back as he sliced off a head. Smiling, Matoki looked apun the sight that Mikawa's castle brought with it. Turning back towards the battle, he saw swordsmen charging at his forces.

Looking towards the next set of walls, he realized that the enemy was trying to use a combination of walls and combat to tire our men and eventually be too tired to continue the battle. Bowmen were already positioning on top of the next wall. The body count with this one will be very high, Matoki thought as he and his men sliced throgh more enemy swordsmen.

His blade shinning in the sun's light Icorisu fought the rebels with abandon but no matter how many he and his men killed and sent running they always came back Icorisu knew a general or captain was the cause then he saw him a man in black on the ground rallying the men again and again Icorisu jumped down from the wall hoping end the rally landed on his feet and yelled

"You are no going to see the light of another day foolish captain"

the man Matoki by name charged Icorisu with abandon striking giving him no chance to counter but fatiguing himself quickly and then he stopped him attack and Icorisu took advantage swinging his sword over his head hoping to end it and survive he drooped his blade down to the mans head.

But all of a sudden he felt and explosive pain in his back and he saw it an arrow protruded from his chest narrowly missing his heart and lungs then Matoki swung his sword down in an attempt to kill Icorisu before he could bring his blade to bear and it would have worked too had Bishamonten not been with Icorisu that day he swung to the left cutting his katana around his feet clearing a area for him to move.

Divinely inspired Icorisu knew what he had to do he came at Matoki with a controlled fury he was the warrior not himself and not an enraged monster in that mix he was perfect he brought his blade up high and left cutting a gash on Matoki's leg and when Matoki tried to disengage Icorisu cut down again across his back the blood flew from the gash as his leg bled from the twin wound on his chest Matoki fell to his knees and Icorisu grinned happy to have defeated such a troublesome opponent unaware that he was surrounded by enemies with no escape or hope of reinforcements he then said.

"Any last words before you see your rebellion fall"

Matoki's vision was blurry. His voice croaked as he spoke, and instead blood spat out of his mouth. The screams and clangs of steel on steel seemed to drown out of the background. He vaguely spotted Emi Daichi climbing down the walls past the frenzy of archers firing.

Icorisu spoke again, his katana poking into Matoki's throat and spilling blood. "I SAID, ANY LAST WORDS, YOU REBEL SCUM?"

Emi ran towards him. Emi Daichi, the metsuke that had been Matoki's friend since he was young. The metsuke was risking his life to save Matoki now. Emi took out a dagger, charging towards the back of the man Icorisu. And then he stopped, the dagger fell from his hands, and he fell over face first with an arrow in the back of his head.

"Maa..t...ookkkk......" the dying metsuke said, his fingers twitching, reaching out to Icorisu's leg. Turning around, Icorisu laughed and pushed his blade into Emi's head, ending him quickly. Matoki then made the move, grabbing Icorisu's leg in anger and trying to force him to the ground. But he turned around and sliced into Matoki's rist, sending blood pouring out of his arms.

Matoki saw his friend's dead body, closed his eyes, let the tears fall, and embraced death when Icorisu followed through with the final blow.

As Icorisu steps back from his latest kill he feels another explosion of pain as another arrow strikes him this time in the leg he knew he could not last much longer but he keeps on fighting bringing down over a dozen in the circle closing around him hopping for a savior or death.

"For the Tokugawa and Bishamonten" he cries as he strikes down another enemy as he feels a Yari hit his shoulder he turns cuts the man down hoping that the blood he spills here would become legends for in that one area is now piled a line of three to four men deep on every side and many more from the area he was just in his own kill count numbers unknown to him in the high fourtyies and is growing quickly the master of Sagami sword school lives up to his name. But the in the distance in the distance he sees him a man in black wielding his katana he is charging at Icorisu.

Gleaming in the day, his black armor charged forward with a rage never before seen before. In the distance ahead several garrisoned units had jumped down to support their commander, who had leaped out of his post. It was Icorisu, the General who had caused Raion such problems in the planned attack. Now was Raion's chance, as he sprinted forward with Seckea at his side to halt the advantage of these defenders. Together they charged in with 10 men at the strange boxed formation Icorisu had forged. These defenders were battle hardened and refused to loosen up. Raion was forced to draw a few more troops to his cause.

He greeted the square with a vicious katana attack. Him and Seckea refused to keep them alive as the Square was outnumbered and outsmarted. But Icorisu was not having it as his archers from the wall released a barrage of fire arrows that hit almost every single man that had helped Raion. With the remainder of his troops drawn away to the real fight Raion approached Icorisu. Seckea engaged the few surrounding opponents guarding Icorisu as Raion moved into strike the General.

Raion swung in complete and utter rage at the General, who with ease blocked it. Using all of his force Raion smashed another Katana blow at the man. Staggering back in clear pain Icorisu retreated back a few steps. But unsuspectingly released a counter attack on Raion who barely blocked each swung. Sliding Icorisu's katana away, the defender rolled backwards to pick up a weapon of a soldier beside him. Raion was growing him tired, he could see it in his eyes. Using the time to his advantage Raion jabbed forward each time, forcing Icorisu back. But the defender was in no move to die. When Raion swung one final time Icorisu grabbed Raion's blade and attempted to stab Raion. The General slid out of the way knocking Icorisu on the ground.

Furious with his opponent, Raion attempted one last time to defeat his opponent. Swining from all directions Icorisu was forced on the defense. With one last swing, Raion struck Icorisu's shoulder with all of his might. His oppenent fell to his knees.

"Your time here is done. Now watch your city burn!"

With one final swing Raion slashed the defenders head off his body. Icorisu slumped to the ground, defeated. But he had dies honorably in his effort.

As Raion turned his head too the main battle. With a grin on his face he watched the gates of Mikawa swing open...

Yusei, mounted on his horse, watched Mikawa burn. The city had been in chaos since the fight began. Dead bodies littered the ground. The attackers had broken the first of the enemy's defense but the battle was far from over. Yusei was flanked by two samurai, each carrying a matchlock, sworn to defend Nagao Yusei.

With a sudden burst of insight, Yusei began galloping towards the walls with a fierce look on his face. His guards hurrying to catch up. A messenger running to intercept him.

"My lord, we have lost about 300 men so far. Matoki is dead, and Raion is stuck in the fray. The enemy commander Icorisu is dead, their frontline commander has died along with some moral."

"Excellent, all the obstacles have been cleared so far. Prepare for the final push. Where is Wano?"

The messenger shook his head,"We have heard no word from him."

"Very well, I have set up a present for him on his way out of this battle. Take care of that please."

The messenger nodded, his face bruised and sweaty.

"Now I go off to cut my loose ends. My ultimate plan if finally coming to fruition."

Tanimoto was calling orders to the men to retreat to the Temple. The sight of Icorisu's head being cut off left alot of men shocked and left Tanimoto to take charge. Tanimoto's quick thinking got most of the men their with no injuries but some stayed behind to hold of the rebels. When the gate opened the rebels started to pour in like mice. Tanimoto saw Kenchi orfering troops to take the wounded inside the Temple and for the Arcgers to get shooting postions where ever to cover the retreat. He also say Muchi among the wounded but he looked really pale and it was hard to tell if he was still alive or not. "Hurry move it we need to get ready for the rebels. Close those gates to slow down the enemy!" men were running and turning back to fire arrows at the enemy. Tanimoto watch this closely and fired at enemies as they came over the walls. They finally reached the top level where the Temple is and with alot of their men there. Most of the men thanked Tanimoto for his leadership quickly before getting into postion. Tanimoto moved to the wall to rain arrows down on the enemy but they manage to open the gates and again started pouring into the level below them. Just one set of gates left before the final confrontation begins. Tokugawa soldies were still pouring in through the last gate. Tanimoto went to see how many men were left outside the last gate and saw no more and yelled at the gate keeper to close the gates. As he said this he heard a yell coming from behind him. "WATCH OUT!!!!!"

Kenchi was busy moving the wounded and ordering the men that can still fight to be quickly be patched up and got those that were seriously wounded to be taken deeper into the Temple. Some men that were wounded pretty badly but still wanted to fight were given a bow and some arrows to shoot at the enemy. Kenchi just finished patching up a soldier and sent him back outside. Kenchi gazed at the war torn city before him and wished that he could do something. Somehting strange caught his eye, a soldier moving towards Tanimoto but he didn't run like it was urgent which made it very strange since if had to talk to the now Commanding Officer of the battle it should be important. Kenchi's eyes went wide as the Soldier put his hand on his katana and started pulling it out. As he started pulling it out he started running towards Tanimoto raising the katana above his head. Their was no bow near Kenchi which is what he is good at and quickly yelled "WATCH OUT". Hoping that Tanimoto hears it in time.

Tanimoto turned to the noise of the sound to find a Tokugawa soldier charging him with his katana in the air. Tanimoto didn't have time to draw his katana as the sword came down. Tanimoto quickly side stepped and was trying to draw his sword as the soldier struck again. This time another tokugawa soldier parried the attack and said "What are you doing Lee?!". "Don't you get it yet I'm part of the Shadow Samurai" as he said this he struck down the tokugawa soldier and turned to face Tanimoto as he finnally drawed his Katana but the soldier didn't notice this until now that a second katana was tyed to his belt. "I didn't know you could dual weild captain" said Lee has he charged Tanimoto. "True I started practicing since i got this katana at the battle of the watchtower and want to test it out" After parrying the the Black Samurai a few times and pushing him back he drawed out the second Katana and started attacking. Tanimoto was flimsy at first adjusting to the new style but quickly got control of it has the samurai started pushing him back. In the corner of his eye Tanimoto say the gate start to burn as the rebels through torches at it. "Any men not at the walls go to the gate it is about to be breached" yelled Tanimoto as he parrried another one of Lee's strikes. "Your not skilled enough to be able to kill me with two katanas captain so i better finished you off. Lee started charging in and striking for the chest. Tanimoto back handed the strike and use the other katana to sweep him off his feet. As he fell to the ground Tanimoto brought his katanas up and thrust them down onto Lee. Lee died instantly as Tanimoto withdrew the katana's from the lifeless corpse in front of him. The Red Dragon Katana was definetly a prize indeed. Just as he quickly cleaned the blades of blood and gate crashed and Rebel troops started to pour in. Back to the Fight.

Wano rode towards the city of Mikawa. Everyone expected him to flee, he would show them. His bones may be old but his sword was sharp and he could fight. Men inside the city already would allow a path for him to gain entrance. His goal was simple, kill as many high ranking officers and officials in the city as possible. Last time one has vanished, Motohisa, it caused enough tension to spark conflict and cause a rebellion. While this was an extraordinary result, Wano hoped to mimic it.

Behind him, he suddenly heard the sound of four horses galloping towards him. He turned, drawing his Katana engraved with his mon. Motohisa had arrived. At his side was his Captain of the Guard, Kagna. Behind them rode two Ronin. Slowing down, Motohisa glanced at the Katana and recognised the symbol. “So you work for them?” Motohisa said with a hint of fear in his voice

“Not just work, lead” Wano replied, his voice as unnaturally emotionless as always. Without waiting for orders, the two Ronin charged ahead. Parrying the blade of one of the Ronin, Wano proceeded to slice him in half. Seeing his companion fall so effortlessly to Wano, the other Ronin quickly proceeded to flee in the opposite direction of Wano.

“I see the strength of the Shadow Samurai was not a lie” Kagna mumbled “but then, neither is mine”
Kagna charged towards Wano while Motohisa stood back with a horrified expression etched on his face. Katana aimed at the horse, Kagna wounded its leg before Wano to escape the blade in time. Whilst Wano was falling towards the ground, like a serpent he crawled across the ground dodging Kagna’s blade as he swung it before flipping himself up and firmly gripping his own Katana two handed. Waiting for Kagna’s second charge, Wano stood ready to dodge it and strike at the horse. The expected charge came and Wano executed his plan perfectly, sending Kagna tumbling towards the ground. However, the horse prevented Wano from reaching Kagna before he could get back on his feet. Moving side to side, Wano waited for Kagna’s attack intending to parry it and slice his foe while he was exposed. Infuriated by the wounds he had suffered from his fall, Kagna took the bait and proceeded to slash at Wano with his Katana, Effortlessly parrying it, Wano proceeded to take his own swing. Twisting his body, Kagana miraculously managed to survive and was only slightly grazed by Wano’s katana. Armour worn by Kagna was ineffective against such a sharp blade and all it did was restrict his movements. Trembling, Kagna prepared himself to carry on the battle.

Parrying blow after blow, the two combatants battled on, neither managing to wound the other. Metal clashed against each other, leaving the air ringing with the sound of their immensely powerful blows. The duel may have gone on for seconds, minuets, hours neither could tell. “I should have killed you while I had the chance” Wano grunted. “But the Hattori insisted they could extract information from you, they failed in even that simple task. “ Pausing his speech to parry another of Kagna’s blows, Wano proceeded afterwards to speak without making his own blows, preferring to stay on the defensive. “They were the only ones who would support my claim, my claim to the Shogun. I am a descendant of the Taira, the true Shogun appointed by the gods. My mon is an adaptation of the Taira mon.” Parrying another blow, Wano proceeded to speak “The Hattori and I would secure our alliance with a marriage, we would marry our grandchildren together and reform the Taira with a combind mon and rule with the blessings of the gods. Ever since the fall of the Taira our ancestor, a bastard who was overlooked by his enemies, began to plot to claim our rightful power. That has carried on until today” As quick as a viper, Wano suddenly lashed out at Kagna with his Katana, scoring a wound in across the chest. Lifting his Katana in the air, Wano prepared to deliver the final blow to Kagna who was lying on the ground in pain. Motohisa trampled Wano using is horse before he could perform the final swing. Blood oozed out from wounds all over Wano’s body and multiple bones had been completely broken. Hand shaking, Motohisa held a sword even though it was clear he had no idea how to use it. Attempting to get up, Wano was rewarded by once again collapsing to the floor from the sheer agony caused by the horse. Wano weakly laughed “Killed by a man like you, the true Shogun of Japan and the master of the Shadow Samurai. You got lucky”

“I shall end this quickly” Motohisa said as he gingerly approached Wano who was lying on the ground “It’s better than you deserve”.

“I refuse to be killed by you” Wano replied, still no hint of emotion in his voice. His hand shaking as he reached down at his side, Wano pulled out a horn. Using the last of his energy, he blew it. Throughout Mikawa the horn could be heard, Shadow Samurai setting buildings alight instantly stopped setting buildings alight and instead charged towards the nearest troop, determind to go down fighting. The men guarding Fumika left with her behind them. Later, they were found dead. Killed by a Tokugawa troop force heading towards the city. Later, her sister was also killed by the Criminal Syndicate where Wano had once ruled when she refused to sell her body to others to make a profit. Wano himself lie dead having expended the last of the energy in his body to blow the horn, to avoid death at the hands of a untrained warrior.

Shaking his head, Motohisa rushed over towards Kagna and mounted him on Motohisa’s horse. Slowly, the headed over to a nearby village where Motohisa knew a healer was located. Looking back at the burining city of Mikawa Motohisa thought to himself many innocents will die this day. I tried to warn them. The city itself will likely remain fine and I know our Daimyo is strong enough to win this battle. All I came to do is see what the fires were over Mikawa, and then I saw this army. I wish they had told me, I may have been able to do something. Maybe they didn’t know of the attack? It matters not, what done is done. I’m just glad I managed to find this scum here and pay him back for when he gave me to the Hattori. If I hadn’t I dread to think what he planned to do. If I hadn’t been freed by the Honourable Daimyo I never would have stumbled upon this man and disaster may have occurred. I wonder what will happen to the Shadow Samurai now?

Dying on the blades of the Tokugawa, most of the Shadow Samurai gave their lives that day. The few that remained in other cities soon disbanded due to Wano’s death and their lack of a leader and purpose.

Whilst riding off, Motohisa still noted that the battle was going on. There was little one untrained man could do however. He had higher priorities. He needed to help Kagna just like Kagna had helped him so many times.

Kurimoto sat on his horse away from the city. In front of him he saw in the distance the backs of the rebels as they went through the gates. He turned to face his forces. His forces were 150 strong with 100 Yari Ashigaru, 50 Bow Ashigaru, a ninja named Chen, and his dear friend a metsuke named Tong. Kurimoto had been gone for 3 days. No one knew that he was gathering his forces. As Tong and Chen rode up to his side he surveyed the battlefield. Kurimoto looked at them with a smile and said "Thank you my friends for helping me find out about this rebellion. After these rebels are disposed of we shall eliminate these damned Shadow Samurai. And to think my own damn captain was one of them. Good thing im quick or I'd be dead in a field somewhere." Tong said "You need not thank us, we both owe you our lives." Kurimoto laughed and said "Well after this consider them repayed. Nonetheless you are my captain now. Tell the men to move up in a pincer entrapment formation. Get the archers to hurry foward and let loose a volley into their backs. Also Chen, relay this message to the daimyo, Death and Destruction have come home to Mikawa, Hirotada will understand this and know what he has to do."

He said to his forces "All rebels are supposed to fear us and bow to Hirotada. APPARENTLY THESE REBEL SCUM DID NOT GET THE MESSAGE!!! SO NOW WE HAVE TO CUT OUT THEIR INTESTINES AND CHOKE THEM WITH THEM!!! ARE YOU WITH ME!?!??!?!?!" His Entire army shouted a warcry that shook the earth to its core. "REMEMBER YOU ARE NOT THOSE BACKSTABBING SAMURAI!!! YOU ARE HONEST WORKERS AND FARMERS AND YOU ARE LOYAL TO THE TOKUGAWA!!!!!!!! NOW MY MEN MOVE INTO FORMATION AND WE WILL SEND THESE DOGS STRAIGHT TO HELL!!!!!!!!" His men moved forward with unbreakable morale. Kurimoto watched and to his delight he knew he would be able to wage war on the battlefield again.

He looked at Tong and said with a straight face "My sword arm was getting a little soft, this slaughter of those rebels will give it a great exercise. Now lets get to our bloody business." They both moved behind their army slowly. Kurimoto looked at Tong with a sneer on his face and said with clear disdain "I wonder if that old fool Wano is still alive. I would love to be the one to rip his heart from his chest."

The anticipation was growing as the Rebellion made its final push towards the Temple. Causualties were extremely high right now and the balance of forces was at a dead even. The defenders of Mikawa were having none of it, someone was inspirining them. Now from the view of the battlefield as the soldiers clashed through the streets, Commander Tanimoto was placing his troops in excellent strategic positions. Raion rushed to the Market, a few blocks away from the Temple to kill and crush the defenders. Seckea and Raion met up outside the market and prepared to assualt the defenders, leaving little time for the defenders to prepare.

Tanimoto was expecting just this, and ordered his troops to take the sewer panel to cut up around from Raion's fifty troops. As Raion entered the Market squared, he and his companion found himself surrounded by 75 defending troops. The commander came out of a dark corner in the Market with a few men.

"You have been outsmarted General Raion, surrender now...this is your only chance."

Raion, chuckled to himself laughingly. When his laughing halted, he signaled his archers to fire at their surrounding troops. With a barrage of fire the circle was engulfed in fierce combat. The Entire city was now split with both sides possessing 300 troops and both sides having even terrain. When the fighting cam to a halt, there were a mere five men left in the circle for both sides. There was roughly 200 troops alive on the defending and attacking enemies. But in the circle of the Market was Raion, Seckea and his eight men along with Tanimoto and his 9. In a defining moment the two sides clashed. Seckea rushed without strategy in attacking Tanimoto, who was handling him easily. Seckea was making blunders right and left as he his blade slid off the katana of the commander who used his leverage to his advantage.

Seckea slumped to the ground as a katana sunk through the man's chest. Raion yelled in anger and released his anger on Tanimoto. This time the Generals rage was enough to drive the defender back. He struck Tanimoto's with all of his might as the defender staggered back to the wall of the market. But the Commander countered Raion's advance and kicked him onto the floor. Raion spun away and in one quick move jabbed Tanimoto in the side. The Commander fell to his knees.

"Now your city will bur-"

WIth one last burst of effort Tanimoto grabbed for his half destroyed Katana and released it on Raion. The blade slid cleanly through the chest of the Rebel Leader. Raion collapsed onto his face as blood spit in the surrounding areas. When the defender turned Raion over, there was still a slight grin on his face. Like he was almost glad the time had come.

The commander stood up from the body of Raion.

"We must make our last stand at the temple, retreat there before the rest of the Rebel forces arrive. The odds are even now Yusei, let us see who shall prove victorious!"

As the army trotted off, Raion was left there in peace...

Yusei had casually strolled through the burning city, looking around at the smoldering ruins of the charred buildings. As he walked he passed over Wano's body. With a quick glance he smirked, and then laughed. He then began to move on.

He made his way to the first wall of the castle, the gate having been burned down by the Shadow Samurai. The walls littered with men from both sides, bodies clumped in piles, some burning. Among the bodies he noticed Matoki. Among a large group of Black Samurai, was Icorisu, with another smirk and laugh he moved on. His two samurai following close behind. As he was to make his way towards the temple, where the troops had retreated and the rebels moved forward.

With a quick move, Yusei quickly took his sword and slashed the samurai to his left. The other samurai, shocked by this sudden move, fell from his horse, dropping the matchlock. Yusei then threw Wano's gifted sword at the samurai, impaling him in the chest. As the samurai collapsed, Yusei continued his stroll.

He slowly moved towards the temple, his thoughts racing of simpler times back years ago. His time with the council, his arguments with Fujiko, the outwitting of Icorisu, the false charges placed on him, planning his orders, his first assault, his second assault, and peaceful times. The thought of this brought tears to Yusei, his expression darkened, his face bearing the pain of the hatred of the Tokugawa, the untrust of Isamu, the misleading hopes of Raion and Matoki, the honored hatred from Icorisu, the sheer hatred of Fujiko, the disgust by the daimyo. He had sheltered the pain, all for his final gift to Hirotada, to the soon-to-be Shogun. His next moves are his last, his shogi set retired. The final moments of his life are soon to meet reality, and Japan shall be reforged and united under a new peace.

As he approached the temple, he had caught sight of the black armored Black Samurai, and the white-gold armored Tokugawa at a standstill. In the middle of the crowd was a group of bodies and Raion. Tanimoto stood among the bodies, looming over the defeated general.

The silence and tension of the moment was shattered as Yusei laughed. The Tokugawa troops yelled in disgust at Yusei, some called him a demon, others called him a monster. The Black Samurai stood silent, worried over the loss of Raion.

Tanimoto drew his sword and yelled at Yusei,"Time for you to face me now, YUSEI!" He moved towards Yusei. With a quick smirk, Yusei thrust his Black Sword at Tanimoto's feet. Dismounting his horse, he revealed his other sword, the Tokugawa blade hid had hidden for these years.

With a sly smile he spoke,"Very well, we shall duel."

Tanimoto began to rush towards Yusei, with a calm expression he yelled charge. Immediately, the Black Samurai charged Tanimoto and his troops. The general being engulfed in the fight. Yusei slipped out, running towards the Temple for the final fight. Having betrayed his troops, this was his final moment of glory!
