Crusader Kings 2 isn't really all that hard to get right. I went through the tutorials on my first night of playing the game and was then confident enough to start a campaign. Once you get the main parts of the game, it's pretty simple actually.

it would be a good LP RP to see happen in the future so i think damo should do this as an lp.

I think we can all agree that crusader kings 2 is easier to learn than some of the other paradox games.

I'd like to see this as Damo's next L.P. They've already released the Islam expansion pack and Mongol faces. It's pretty fun.

The learning curve for any Paradox game is fairly steep, giving the lack of decent in-game tutorials. Having said that, there are some really skilled people over at their forums who know almost all of their games inside out. The thing about their games is that almost all of the systems in one game are present in another and vice versa, just with slightly different mechanics. Learning one game allows you to transfer that knowledge to another and be able to get off the ground in no time.

Easily the best strategy games known to gaming, hands down. Right now it's Victoria 2 that is taking up my time, but I also love CK2 and EU3. Moments of pure fun with undercurrents of utter tension mixed throughout. A hoot!

Oh, and yeah I have to say Crusader Kings 2 possibly has the lowest barrier to entry out of any of their games, especially now that they are reaching out to a wider audience than the hardcore strategy fan niche that played them before.

I am currently watching two of these, both by the same guy, but one is multiplayer, and it's getting more hooked, especially multiplayer. Example, he is playing with three others. He is a king, two are dukes and one and earl. One of the dukes was almost destroyed until the guy offered him vassilisation.

Also, I think when Damo has finished Sims and Medieval or Skyrim, which ever two come firsts, he should think about playing this :)

Could you send me a link to this please, I have the game and if Damo set up a special RP for this were some of us could play other factions then it would be amazing!

I think it would be cool if Damo played as the duke or count of where he's from. So in whichever province Leeds would be in he plays as the guy in charge of there.

Conquering the world is pretty much impossible. He'd be lucky to form the Empire of Britannia. It's not an easy game. You can't war all you want.
