The thing about the elder scrolls is that everytime you play through one, you have a totally different experience from the other times. This is also true with Let's Plays. I know thousands of people have done Let's Plays for the Elder Scrolls games, but every person's playthrough can be different, unique, and entertaining to watch in different ways. That is why I recommend the Damo does Let's Plays for the other Elder Scrolls games. Even though I am doing a Let's Play for Morriwnd, eventually a Let's Play for Oblivion, and someday if I get my hands on a more powerful system, even a Let's Play for Skyrim. it would be fun to see how he plays through those other games. As I said, each person's play-through is different making it fun to watch many people play through the games. |

You never know, one day I might crank open Oblivion once again, mod it to high heaven and give it a royal LP blasting. Not for a while yet but not a game I would ever totally dismiss from LPing. |

Morrowind I think also could be a good candidate for a LP. I've got it from Steam recently (first time ever playing it) and I'm having a blast so far. The only thing you have to get used to is the combat system- it's not in real time even though it looks like it is. The graphics are very dated, but if graphics is an issue I recommend the Morrowind Overhaul mod compilation containing a variety of mods which I hear are the best graphics mods for Morrowind (I'm using it in my playthrough) which vastly improves the graphics of the game without changing gameplay, and comes with unofficial patches to reduce the bugs. Morrowind my be a good candidate for an LP. Mainly because it would be a blind LP for me. I have tried to play Morrowind once 2 years ago but I just couldn't seem to get into it, especially since I found casting magic so damn awkward. Playing it as an LP might actually assist me in getting into the game through RP because I really would like to experience what a lot of people claim to be the best Elder Scrolls game to date. |

I know that it's been a few months since this topic was first started but an idea came to me. One of things that make using magic a challenge in Morrowind is that Magicka does not regenerate. However, there are several mods out there that solve this problem, so Damo: If you ever do pick up Morrowind to LP it, I absolutely recommend looking for a Magicka regeneration mod. There is also a chance depending on your character's skill levels that the magic you cast will fail. (the same with using any skill in Morrowind) I find actually kind of fun because it give a sense of uncertainty and unpredictability to the game. It can make encounters kind of frightening when a spell you are depending on for survival fails when you try to cast it. |
