Hello damo.

There is a game, which will be released in August, that i would really (and i mean really) love to see you play. It goes by the name Darksiders 2, where you play as one of the riders of apocalypse: Death.

In the first one is where the plot starts, and there the player impersonificates War (another rider).

It was my first game on PS3 (oh yes, it does come on xbox and PC too), and it is one of the best games ever created.

From what I've seen until now, the second game will take place on even a bigger sclae, with even more places to explore.

The first game was somewhat similar to god of war (in terms of playability), and it seems that in the second they also included much more RPG character develpment details.

I'll leave some videos, trailers of sorts.
Announcment trailer (a year ago or so)

Cinematic trailer 1

what starts with war, ends with death

I'm expecting an answer, even if it might be a "no" ;)

Good luck :)

Dude, seriously? It's like a seriously toned-down God of War with The Legend of Zelda's inventory (plus the Portal gun), a mix of both bland and overblown designs (to quote Yahtzee of Zero Punctuation, War looks like he "wore a magnetic suit and fell into a saucepan cupboard"), and an ending that creates more questions than answers.

I played the god of war saga, and I would not say darksiders is inferior.

You might compare them, but I don't think any of them is better than another. And how does the outfit of the main character affect the gameplay? Surely that way, a janitor should have never had a success in gaming world (mario).

About the ending. When you end the game you clearly understand there will be a continuation, so i don't see what's the problem with that.
Also, have you watched the aliens movies, and the latest prometheus? The last one, especially, is a movie that leaves the books open. When you get out of the movie theater, you are full of questions, and is that a bad thing?

And i personally didn't like the protals too, it messed up with my head a lot. It was challenging, something that is rare nowdays. ;)

I couldn't enjoy the first game so much as the character 'War' had a very bulky fighting style; meaning his attacks were focused on power and I couldn't appreciate the slow combos. However, after hearing that 'Death' would have a fighting style built more around finesse and chaining longer combos I was definitely interested. Needless to say the story from the first had me hooked so if they can replicate that same level of story in Darksiders 2 then it's something I will entrust my money to.

I considered God of War to be a relatively average game: it certainly had nothing majorly special about it, at least not in my opinion. If it is anything like God of War (in terms of combat/gameplay), then I probably wont get it. Would I watch an LP of it? Probably.

The main thing I didn't really like about God of War was the combat system. It felt clunky and slow. But at this point it really comes down to personal taste, doesn't it? Some, I'm sure, loved this combat system. I've read somewhere that this "Death" character is supposedly a quick, athletic (relatively) type. If THAT'S true then I guess I could give the game a go. I have never even heard of the game let alone any prequals. The trailers on YouTube do look rather interesting though. I am just unsure if it is my type of game.

It might make for a good LP though. Not sure. :-/

@KingLemon.

Yes you are right. Death is more of an assasin type, while war, a warrior. However, as you play on you gain a big arsenall of weapons, starting with a double scythe(i guess this is the quick part), to one scyte, to a hammer. This were the only weapons revealed until now.

edit:

You probably saw this video ;)

1) All things considered, I don't care at all about God of War myself, but that doesn't mean the gameplay screams "Frankenstein of GoW and Zelda." Besides, it was the VERY Zelda-esque gadgets that bothered me more than anything else.

2) You missed my point. The overall aesthetics feel disjointed to me. It's not that I simply dislike War's design, but that the content always feels either underwhelming or so overblown that it just looks stupid. Also, when you need a five page essay to even give a basic character description, YOU HAVE FAILED AT DESIGNING! Now, I'm not saying that I am against elaborate detailing on a character, far from it... I just feel that those should be able to be SUMMARIZED as "elaborate detailing." I challenge you thusly... try to describe this in simple but accurate terms. His companion? No problem. War? Pfft. Good luck.

3-A) Too Human was intended to be a trilogy, but the game sold poorly and a sequel was never made. That game ended on a cliffhanger. Doesn't seem like a great idea, now does it? At least Mass Effect had the courtesy to tell a complete story with a looming doom on the horizon instead of cutting off right when things get interesting. From my perspective, Darksiders ended on the equivalent of Mass Effect 1 ending when Shepard entering the Conduit.

3-B) ...YES! "Questions" are NOT a good thing to end a story with! "Musings" and "ambiguities" are completely different. "Watchmen", for example, left you wondering on the morality of the different characters and implied the truth may or may not come out, leaving the reader musing over the implications and possibilities. When Prometheus leaves you thinking "uh, doesn't this contradict the existence of Xenomorphs in the distant past, as shown in AVP?", THAT'S A BAD THING!
