Not sure if this is Damo's kind of game but I love it. Its great to take a poor lower division team and build the club over many seasons. So don't know if he would be interest but just a suggestion.

I used to love playing these since the days of Championship Manager 01/02. My friend and I must have spent the good part of a year every weekend playing that game. I'm sure we completed about 10 seasons. However I stopped playing at FM10, the series had just run it's course for me and I found myself with less time to play it due to LPing.

Suffice to say an LP of it is not really something I would enjoy. It's far too slow paced.

Hehe CM 01/02 is awesome (it's also freeware now, so you can download it for free). Never played any other management game (for an extensive amount of time) other than that. No other game would I be able to manage a team like Doncaster Rovers or Bournemouth to the champions league (I did win the champions league with Doncaster once, took 13 seasons to take em from the conference to european champions). I wouldn't be able to do that in any other management game, wouldn't have the time for it (one season of CM 01/02 can be done in a couple of hours).

In FM 2012 you can spent hours on the transfer window it really takes a lot of time especially if you love bargains like me, it can take an age to find the right players and tactics.

I used to do that in CM 01/02, but when you've played the same database for over a decade, you know who the best cheap players are.
