Chapter 1

Dark Technology

It had been seven hundred years since anyone had used Trianchu. In another fifty years no one would know how to use it anyway. The only way you could know how to was to be a black arts user and they were killed off because they were thought of as a threat. Since Kynoto, Triasha, and Rouin were supposedly dead and Wantene lost in times grip, there were very few left who knew about Trianchu. Then something odd happened. A child was born in a town some twenty miles south of Synoto. The town was called Vendura. It was a small town and had a population of only fifteen hundred and had a curse. It was stated in a prophecy that one boy would have super human powers and that he would change the face of the earth. The power that it spoke of was, of course, the most destructive force in the universe, Trianchu. There was a surge in the number of people who could use Trianchu that year, but most of them were killed for fear of them destroying the planet. There, of course, are some who escaped out into the wild and survived there form many years, but they were killed by the savage winters and eaten by wild animals for food. The accused were lynched and/or shot to death. The ones who used this power had to be related to one of the five users of legend. All but Wantene were thought dead. He had been found in the country of Mendegul five years earlier, and was put into a special cell. This cell was created in an ancient time, when Trianchu users were abundant. It was constructed using some dark and evil technology that suppressed Trianchu. So, Wantene could not get out of this cell even if he wanted to, which he did. He had not aged, due to his Trianchu, until he was put into this cell and now he was beginning to age rapidly.

"I must get out of this cell before I get so old that I lose my powers completely." he thought to himself. Then his prayers were answered. His hope was answered not by a grown man, but by a boy that looked exactly like Triasha. Only, he had twice as much power. He caused havoc in the city while Wantene put forth all of his concentration into getting back his powers. He was almost successful until he realized his powers were fading too fast. Soon the boy came, having killed all of the villagers and destroying their homes, and destroyed the cell. When Wantene walked out of it he felt like a new man. All of his powers had come back and had doubled in the last five years he had been in the cell.

"I thank you boy for letting me out of that accursed cell. I was starting to not like it in there." he said to the boy. He sensed the boy’s incredible power and his high potential. This boy would one day be stronger then even him. “Why did you attack this place for?” Wantene asked promptly,

“These people killed my mom, my dad, my sisters and brothers just because they knew how to use Trianchu. I came for retribution,” The boy said, becoming depressed. Then he asked the man before him with renewed curiosity,

"Mister, who are you?” The boy asked

"I am Wantene, one of the greatest fighters in history. I am one of the five of legend." Wantene replied. The boy’s eyes widened. Then he asked,

"Will you teach me how to use my Trianchu to its fullest?" Wantene looked stunned at this and asked,

"You were not using your full powers?"

"Nope." the boy replied.

"What is your name?" Wantene asked and the boy.

"I am Knifes," The boy said.

"Knifes huh. Well Knifes, we need to get going if you want to use real Trianchu," said Wantene as he took Knifes off to the training grounds that he himself was trained at. The training Wantene would give to Knifes would be ten times harder and more effective than his was. They began to train and the boy showed sings of progress immediately. He was responding to the training much better than Wantene had expected. He had already gained more power than Triasha ever had and was still gaining it. In over a month he had gained so much power that he started having headaches and he had to battle creatures in order to release some of his powers so that the headaches would temporarily stop.

“Knifes, that’s enough training for today. Let’s pick up tomorrow. I need a break. Watching you fight is tiring,” Wantene said, as he turned away to go back to the house to get some dinner and to rest.

“I will stay out here and keep training. I must bring out my full potential,” Knifes told, the very exhausted, Wantene. Wantene looked at him in surprise, astounded at the boys’ stamina.

“Alright, you can stay out here and train, but if you start to get those headaches again, come inside and rest.” Said Wantene, to the now training Knifes.
I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes....Or should I?

Chapter 2

The Voices

Wantene awoke to the sound of Knifes training. He heard the punching of the tree and the tree came crashing down to the ground right in front of Wantene as he stood at the door. His hair was matted on one side from sleeping on it. He was still in his night clothes and was sipping on a cup of Jawa Coffee. He looked at Knifes. Knifes was sweating so much it was a mystery to Wantene why his clothes were not soaked with sweat.

“How long have you been training?” Wantene, in a half yawn, asked Knifes. Knifes replied,

“All night. Can you feel my power? It’s increased a lot.” There was truth in what he was saying. His power had increased seventy percent since Wantene last felt it. It was growing at an enormous rate. Knifes had now become his equal. Wantene did not like the sound of it either. He did not like the idea of becoming second rate to a boy. He would have to train even harder than the boy or he would become the second strongest fighter in the universe.

“We will have to stop training because we need new equipment. I’ll go and get some of it right now, so you just stay here while I go buy the equipment,” Wantene said suddenly one evening. Knifes looked at Wantene suspiciously. “We need better training equipment in order for you to move on with your training,” Wantene explained. He gathered all of the money he had and went to the equipment store and bought some heavy duty equipment. He bought a twelve-foot solid rock pole, three boxes of monster pills, which allow you to grow monsters to train on, and a sparring dummy. He had spent at least half of the money on just those things. When he got back he spent the rest of the day putting everything up and making some adjustments or modifications here and there. He had just got the pole in the ground when he noticed something peculiar happening to the ground. It was softer than usual. The pole sunk into the ground. He tried to pull it out, but it had sunk too far into the ground. “No! Now how am I supposed to train Knifes?!” Wantene said, half shouting. He began to try to pull the poll out of the ground. The poll was stuck; no something was pulling on it. Wantene watched in horror as the poll was beginning pulled at a faster pace and by the time Knifes came out, to see what the commotion was about, it was almost all the way in the ground.

“What is going on?” Knifes asked, watching the polls’ progress, “Why aren’t you pulling on it for?” As he said this, the poll stopped moving and Wantene said,

“Demons,” He muttered in one breathless moment, “There are Demons down there. They came from the well. They like to cause mischief and destroy things; it is what they do besides eat humans. You go back inside and I’ll take care of them,” Wantene told Knifes.

“No. I want to see your true power. I’ll stay out here and watch you,” Knifes said, suddenly interested, to Wantene.

“Alright, but stay out of the way. I have a tendency to over do my self when I’m fighting,” Wantene said to Knifes.
Wantene blew a hole in the ground and five gigantic Demons came crawling out. They were armed with clubs and rocks. As with all demons their faces were covered in scars from many hours of torturing and endurance training. Their mouths hung slightly open due to the size of their pointy teeth. They all had huge flabby bodies that smelled like rotting flesh, as their flesh was rotting. Wantene was about to attack them when the ground started to shake. Out of the hole came a master Demon. This Demon was five times larger and smelled three times as worse then the others. It was armed with a gigantic sword. It screeched at the others,

“Shaarrrla Sweesah Neffa!” (Destroy those who disturbed me, The Master Demon of Green Underground Passage!)(Roughly translated.) At hearing this all of the Demons attacked Wantene, who unsuspecting it, got the full force of the attack. He was thrown back behind Knifes.

“I’ll handle them,” Knifes said as he charged the closest Demon. He pulled a sword out of no where and began to slash at the demon. “Demon Killer Slash!” he said. His sword turned white and his speed increased. With several slashes he had disposed of the Demons. He rushed back to Wantene and asked, “Are you alright? Wantene replied,

“I’m ok, but you. How did you do all that? That Master Demon could have made mincemeat out of you.” Knifes told him that during his training he had encountered a High Master Demon and that he had made a deal with it. That if the Demons were to have left them alone that he would not hunt them, but if any should show them selves that he would destroy them. “Well then. You killed those demons, but can you handle me.” Wantene told Knifes, who had a puzzled look on his face.

“What do you mean?” Knifes asked. Wantene said,

“Haven’t you wondered how I was so strong? Well, if you have, here is the answer. You haven’t seen my true power, the power of an Ultra Demon. Your Father, Triasha, Reached a Hyper Demon, but I was always one step ahead of him,” Wantene said this and then told the boy to stand back, “Here is the true power of an Ultra Demon!” he shouted as he powered up. Knifes had never felt such evil. It was as though evil was his power.

“H-How is your power possible. It defies all that has been proven about nature. There could never be this much evil in this world. How, how is it possible!?” shouted Knifes. Then he heard something, like a voice in the back of his head. It was saying,

“It is possible because he is feeding off of his fear of you. He is terrified of your power and the threat you could cause him. His training is to make you lose your power not to unlock it, but the one thing he hadn’t thought of is what if during your training during that night you met up with a strong creature and beat it. Your power would increase drastically if you would just train on creatures instead of objects,”

“Who are you?” Knifes asked, saying the words in his mind.

“I’m your father, Triasha. Kynoto, Rouin, and I will be there shortly to get you. We have come back to save you from this heathen of a soul. Just remember he is pure evil and your power could destroy him and he will do anything to prevent that. That includes killing you. Do nothing he tells you and don’t let him take you anywhere. We will be there in five minutes,” Triasha’s voice mumbled.
I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes....Or should I?

Chapter 3

The Rescue

Wantene was still gaining power and Knifes was getting angrier at himself for letting this Demon take him in and “train him”. He was getting so angry that he was starting to get those headaches again. He began to feel power running through him. It was then he realized these headaches were his power being released into him. Wantene had been lying to him from the start. He started to let the headaches come freely and then he tried to force them to come. He succeeded and his power was starting to increase. Wantene had noticed it too. “Where is his power coming from?” Wantene asked himself as he looked at Knifes. Knifes’ power had risen to about five billion and was still rising. He was concentrating so hard on the headaches that he blocked everything else out. Then when he thought he had the situation under control, he began to feel funny. Then he blacked out.

He awoke to see a strange face. He looked at the man and asked,

“Who are you?” The man replied,

“I am Kynoto. They are Rouin and Triasha. We saved you from Wantene and brought you back to our hideout.”

“What happened to Wantene?” Knifes asked Kynoto.

We fought him while Triasha brought you back,” Kynoto said.

“How can you fight him? Your power level is really low,” Knifes said.

“We’ll get to that in a little while, but first you need to rest and eat something,” Kynoto told Knifes. Triasha brought some food and water and then closed Knifes door so he and the others could talk.

“Have we agreed on it, then? Shall we train him?” Triasha asked Kynoto. For a while he said nothing, then he said,

“Wantene did him a lot of damage to his power and he will not be as strong, but I think it is safe to say that he will one day even be stronger than me.” As he said this Rouin and Triasha went wide-eyed with amazement. “He has a strong hate for demons and gains his power off of that hate, just as Triasha did off of his hate for me. He will be the strongest fighter in the universe and what he does with that power is his choice. Remember that, Triasha. He will be able to choose his own fate with out our influence,” Kynoto told his companions as they thought of what he was saying.

“We will train him to be stronger than you think he will be, Kynoto, we will help him to gain the power that he lost back and then some, but he does not realize how strong he can become and so I ask you this. Kynoto, could you ascend past a hyper angel and show him how powerful you are and tell him that one day he will be stronger than even you?” asked Triasha, trying to get Kynoto to carry out his wish.

“Alright, I will show him, but you two had better keep up your end and train him as best and hard as you can. I will show him what power he has and how much he will have tomorrow. Now let’s all get some rest,” Kynoto said as he went to bed.
I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes....Or should I?

Chapter 4

Loss of Control

The next day, Kynoto took Knifes outside and told him to concentrate and focus. Kynoto began to power up. Knifes was in total awe at the immensity of his power. The ground started to shake as Kynoto tapped into his inner powers. Kynoto was at seven hundred billion when he realized that his power was weaker then before.

“What is wrong Kynoto?” Triasha asked.

“I think that my age is starting to get to me,” Kynoto replied unenthusiastically, “Knifes, power up as far as you can.” Kynoto told Knifes. Knifes powered up as far as he could, one hundred million. Then Kynoto said, in the now silent yard,

“He has the power to go Hyper A. He will surpass my power. Now Knifes, behold the true power of a Hyper Angel, remember that you will one day surpass this power I am about to show you.” Kynoto told Knifes, as he looked at him. Kynoto tapped into what was left of his Hyper Angel powers. His powers were so incredible that Knifes was lost for words. He realized that Kynoto’s power was the exact opposite of Wantene’s power, yet he could barely sense a feeling of evil resonating from Kynoto, but not to the extent of Wantene. Kynoto was also more powerful than Wantene.

“Knifes, I know you can feel my power and I must say this; you will one day be twice as strong as me. You are barely nineteen and I am forty five, or at least I look it, and you are already incredibly strong. You can expect your powers to be increasing as soon as your training fully kicks in and that could be as soon as next week or as late as a year or two, it all depends on how hard you train,” Kynoto said, his voice shaking a little from exhaustion from his immense power, which was now beginning to fade fast.

Soon they had Knifes training in their own fighting grounds, which had been converted into a training ground. Kynoto helped Knifes through his training for most of that day.

“Good Knifes. Now, focus your energy in to your fists and attack the wall,” Kynoto told Knifes, as he leaned against the wall, sweating and breathing hard from the rigorous training sessions with Kynoto. He did as he was instructed and began to punch the wall. Soon his knuckles began to bleed.

“Knifes, this is the best time to test your White Trianchu abilities,” Kynoto suggested to Knifes as his knuckles began to flowingly bleed. “You should be able to heal all of your wounds in a matter of seconds. I want you to use it now,” Kynoto told Knifes. As Knifes prepared to use his power, Kynoto sensed something different about him, “Knifes Power up as far as you can and focus on your hatred for Demons and use your anger as your power, then we will see what happens.” Kynoto said abruptly. Knifes did as Kynoto had instructed and began to power up. He could feel his power as he powered up and startled himself with a burst of fury that sent his power soaring up ward. He noticed this and kept on doing it. By now everyone was aware of Knifes true powers and they were watching him. Suddenly the sky became cloudy and the calm turned to chaos. Wind, rain, and lighting dominated the sky and Kynoto knew that this was being generated not by Wantene, but by Knifes. He marveled at this storm because it was alive. It had its own power and he could tell that it was an extension of Knifes power, which had now surpassed even his by leaps and bounds, his power was already nine hundred billion and Kynoto could feel that it was one the surface of his power. The storm was also growing in size, which was now covering most of the sky in all directions and it was starting to rain. There was a flash of lightning as Knifes’ power went through the roof.

“Alright Knifes you can stop now!” Kynoto said, trying to yell over the gale, but Knifes did not stop. He could not. His power had taken control of him and was forcing him to increase it. Kynoto could tell something was wrong when he finally sensed a third power. He half ran half slid through the storm to talk to Triasha. “Triasha, I think Knifes power has come alive,” He said, as Triasha stood there looking as though he had just been hit in the head with a very stale piece of bread.

“Did you just say that his power is alive?!” Triasha asked Kynoto, in a dazed fashion.

“Yes I did. He has lost control of his body to his power and it is making him increase his power to its ultimate state. If we don’t stop him, it could unleash a force so great that none of us could stop it.” Kynoto said, looking worried about the situation and trying to think of a solution to the problem. Then he thought of something. “Lets both fire Grey Trianchu at Knifes at the same time, but in order not to end up in the same condition we need to lower our powers down to the lowest level possible. Then we could siphon some of his power from him!” Triasha finished for Kynoto. They did this as fast as they could. The plan worked, except Kynoto had underestimated the amount of power Knifes had and they had more power to deal with than they thought, but the pay-off was that Knifes came back to control of his renegade power. He forced him self to power down. The storm went away, almost as abruptly as it started, and the sky went back to the state it was in before Knifes had powered up.

“My God, does he have power!” Rouin said when the other two came to help him off the ground, as he had been blown into the fence from the burst of energy that had issued from Knifes.

“I did not think that he had that much power or I would not have let him do that.” Kynoto said, looking as though he was just glad that the terror was over.

“H-How do we get him to control that kind of power and if he were to ever get out of our sight and the power took over him how could we fight that? It was horrifically strong and how was it alive?” Triasha asked, his voice shaking unsteadily.

“I don’t know, but one thing is for sure, he is the boy of legend that the tablet spoke of. I could bet my life on it, and I suppose Wantene could feel it as well. He is probably trying to leave this land in search of shelter from this boy,” Kynoto said, staring off into space, wondering what this could mean.

“Kynoto, what exactly did the tablet say?” Rouin asked his brother.

“I’ll check it tomorrow and we will see if it is true,” Kynoto said going towards the house, not looking at Rouin as he spoke.

Chapter 5

The Legend

“The Legend is a very complicated prophecy and if the specified things happened, which they have, the prophecy would come true.” Kynoto said, as he began to recite, ‘A boy with a power unmatched will appear. With him will come a force so powerful that even the Boy will not be able to control it. It will be so powerful that it will come alive and when the Fighters of Legend lose control of him, then the end of the world will be nigh. The Heavens will rumble as they fall and Hell will rise and conquer all that was created by God. The Boys’ power will fell the Fighters of Legend and it will create all that thrives in chaos.’

There was nothing but silence as everyone took in the legend. Then Triasha spoke,

“Then we shall not let Knifes leave here until he has control over this evil force that he has inside of him.”

“It’s not that simple. This power happens to be his own power and the only way to free yourself is to be killed. Pure Trianchu like that can not be tamed. It could destroy the world if it ever got strong enough. This boy is the key to destroying it, but there is a catch. The boy will have to forfeit his powers and I don’t think he will. Eventually, he will try to kill us and to escape because of his powers, so we must take precautions to prevent that from happening.” Kynoto said, his voice bearing a serious tone. Then Triasha said,

“How do you propose we prepare for that!? If he does try to escape, he will use his power.”

“Yeah. How do we protect our selves from Knifes? Rouin asked.

“Now I think that Wantene had the right idea. Let’s visit him,” Kynoto said, his voice shaking with anger because he had saved Knifes from a man who had been doing the right thing.

When they arrived they saw Wantene trembling in a corner of his house muttering something. When Kynoto spoke he did not even look up. “I’ll say it again. How did you know what the boy was capable of?” Kynoto said, becoming more agitated when he got no response. Then Wantene blurted out,

‘When this boy roams the earth spreading malice where ever he goes, the Fighters of Legend shall unite and tower over the power, but they shall fall as the water of a waterfall before the true force of the boys power and shall fall the force and protection of the Earth and all shall be set askew. Good will become evil, white will become black, and all that is peaceful will become chaotic as the boy travels the globe and destroys all he see and hates.’ With that Wantene fainted dead away as the last of his power was drained.

“What was all that?” Triasha asked, as he stared at Wantene in disgust.

“It was the middle of the legend. That fits! ‘The Fighters of Legend will be more than a match for the boy, then a force beyond compare will sweep the Earth into eternal darkness. The boy’s power will then become so great that his power will block even the suns power. All light will turn dark as the boy, Knifes, rides across the sky in a chariot of darkness along side Satan. He shall become even more powerful than the hero of light himself. Then a new force shall arise out of the ashes of the felled heroes and it will shatter the earth in to pieces with its power. The entity that will arise will be more horrible than the worst nightmare you could ever have. Its power will be unimaginable and it will shake the very center of the earth as it falls into darkness, but if the sixth warrior is found in time the Earth shall be saved from eternal banishment in darkness. The sixth fighter shall prove to be the strongest of the six. The Fighters name will be revealed when the following events have come to pass and he shall appear in the final instant as Kynoto falls to Knifes in a horrific battle. He will bring life back to the felled Fighters of Legend and they shall triumph over all of the evil things that shall appear out of the darkness that is Knifes. They will be triumphant or they will fall and with them the Earth will come crashing to their feet. The answer lies with an old and musty acquaintance of Rouin and he knows who and where this sixth legendary fighter resides. The man that drinks not but fire-whisky and searches for gold will lead them to their savior.’

“The legend is now complete and we now know what shall or shall not happen. Who is this man it refers to?” Kynoto asked, his forehead wrinkled in thought, as he tried to solve the riddle that now boggled his mind.

“I know who it means,” Rouin said, as the others looked at him intently, “It means to find Captain Xilot.”

“That’s right, he settled down on Solomon Island after what happened. How old would that make him….. one hundred and ten?” Kynoto asked, amazement etched in his face.

“Yes that would be seriously close to his age after all this time. I think he is still alive, but we’ll see because we have to go see him to find the location of this mysterious warrior,” Rouin said, as the others prepared to leave to find Xilot.

Chapter 6

The Old Pirate

Kynoto and the others arrived on Solomon Island near mid-day. They set up camp and went looking for food in the forest. They didn’t find much though. Kynoto found some edible plants. Rouin managed to find some dead animals but not much else. Triasha found and killed an obsidian monster, but this one was different. It had five Trianchu stones in it and he had never heard of such a thing. Knifes was left in the care of Kynoto and did not find anything. They had enough for a small meal, but not much else. They decided to set out in search of the captain in the morning. They spent the rest of the night discussing the obsidian monster Triasha killed and what it could mean.

The next day they set out to search for their pirate friend’s home. They found some remains of what looked like they belonged to some foreign creature, but none of them knew what it was.

“I see you found my handy work,” said a gruff voice from behind the four, causing them to jump forward in surprise, and causing Triasha to land and crush the creature’s bones to dust. The quartet turned around to see a one-eyed man, roughly one hundred and ten years of age with white hair sticking out of his captains’ hat. He only stood about five feet two inches, but his stature did not show his sheer will to live and to command a ship. He was the worst, or best from a pirate’s view, seadog that had ever sailed the two seas. He had a horrible reputation for plundering cities and slaying any who dared cross him. He had been in command of two different ships in his whole career. The one he was most fond of was the Duran, which had been used for the lumber for the house he had built. Then there was his previous ship The Demon Salvation. He commanded this ship as a wraith that could and would kill anyone or anything. Even the best naval officer could not compare by far to his reign of terror that he wreaked upon the world using that ship as his vital instrument of destruction. Then when he thought he was going to conquer the world in a single foul swoop of his cutlass, his crew started to call for mutiny. He was then forced to kill his entire crew, which included all of his siblings, wife, and son. He then was shipwrecked on an island until he was picked up by the Duran. That brings us to present day on the Island of Solomon where the crew of the Duran faced a grueling fate of termination by the Obsidian monsters. Again the house the captain built, was made of the wood of the ship he had previously commanded.

“Hey Kynoto, you old devil you! How are ya?” he shouted joyously.

“Not bad. And you, you old Scallywag, how are you feeling? Replied Kynoto, his voice bearing the same tone as the old pirate. The pirate replied with a single word,

“Old.”

“Well, you should. One hundred and ten years old, and I still can’t believe you are walking. You really are…” Kynoto had his sentence finished for him.

“Stupid. You know what I did Kynoto, I brought a deadly type of spider on my boat with me and when I settled in it drifted off in to the jungle. You know what kind of spider it was; it was a shfolosis kalitosis arcakanesis. You know the species I am talking about. Their bodies are twice the size of a normal spider, they have indo and exo skeletons, their poison is so strong that one bite could potentially kill ten elephants in two minutes, they have eight eyes, and thirteen legs. They are the super arachnids, the predators of spiders, insects, and humans, the mighty Monolithius. Triasha had done all of us a favor when he jumped on the skeleton because it was a hybrid of that spider. This is where I was stupid. I let the spider go and it mated with an animal that only lives here. The pirates call it the living skeleton because of the fact that it’s skeleton is on the outside of its body. The resulting creature had an indo and exo skeleton and as both are vital they are super strong when they are a sleep, for protection. They don’t need protection when they are awake. They can blend in with the surroundings. It also has increased survival strategies. It’s the ultimate predator. Its venoms’ potency has doubled and its fangs now have the ability to spit out poisonous barbs, as well as having grown from half an inch to about a meter long. They can, if they must, cover five leagues in a day. It can swim, burrow, and run. It has not the ability to fly and for that, I am thankful. Now that they have appeared, all I do all day is chase them around and kill them so they can’t leave this island and infect the other islands in this part of the ocean,” he informed them. Xilot showed Kynoto, Triasha, Rouin, and Knifes back to his cabin. He pulled five dusty mugs from a cabinet and cleaned them out. Placing them on the table in front of the four, he rummaged around under the table for a lose floorboard which revealed a nicely aged bottle of Fire whisky. He poured them all a mug, then one for himself which he drained and refilled before the others even took a sip of theirs. “Ahh, nothing’ better’n fifty year old Fire whisky. So what brings yeah to these parts?” Captain Xilot asked them. Kynoto told him the whole story. After he had finished he replied in great astonishment, “So this here boy is stronger than all of you combined, his power can control his body, and Wantene was trying to kill him because he views him as a threat. Many things are happening outside of this island that I have no idea of. Then Kynoto told him of the prophecies and Xilot nearly fainted to be as blessed a he was to be in a prophecy of old. “Sadly I don’t know of any warrior that had powers like you before I meet you.” Xilot replied sheepishly. Then he thought about the prophecy for a while then about the question he was asked of. Then all of a sudden he gave a shout of surprise. He jumped up and grabbed his musket and shot the Monolithious that had just bitten him. The spider leaped off of Xilot’s leg and scurried towards Kynoto. Then Knifes, having taken a golden glazed sword off of the wall of the cabin, split the deadly creature in half, spilling its contents across the floor. The poison from the creatures’ body ate away at the floor leaving gaping holes in it. Xilot immediately felt the poison flow through his veins, chilling his blood, and turning his skin ice cold. He had barely enough breath to mutter some words. “I …do…know..who you are talking about. Her name is Mirror……” he said, as blood trickled from the bite marks on his leg and from his mouth, with his last dieing breath.

Chapter 7

The Grave of Xilot

The next day it was raining very hard over Solomon Island. The house had been reduced to a pile of lumber after the wind from last night’s storm. Kynoto had taken the liberty of making a coffin for there fallen friend, while Triasha, Knifes, and Rouin were lounging about either looking out for the creatures that had killed there creator, or watching Kynoto make the coffin. The coffin was made from the wood of the Duran, and the scarce island wood that had been used to complete holes that were in the cabins design. Triasha had found some of the metal that had been salvaged from the Duran’s wreak and Kynoto was using a fire to bend the pieces of iron into the shapes that he wanted to use in the coffins design. Once the coffin was finished they put Xilot in to it and began the ceremonies that were used when a pirate’s captain had died in battle or in some sort of accident. They said a few choice words about him and they took the coffin and threw it into the water. Kynoto uttered, “May he find peace down in Davey Jones’ locker, and may God have mercy on his soul for the slaughter he caused.”

The day after, they set out to look for this Mirror person. They decided to look around the island first, since that would be a logical choice to start, since they were already there. They took extra heed to the Monolithious as they traveled, having experienced there deadliness first hand. They had covered the whole island except for one spot where the Monolithious infestation was the densest. They decided that if she was on this island that she would be there. They prepared to go into the area later that day.

They were so busy getting ready that they had neglected to watch Knifes and his ever growing power. They eventually set out for the place of the infestation to find Mirror and to carry out Xilot’s final command,

“Kill the Monolithius for me. Goodbye old friend.”

They now knew what must be done, but what they saw when they got there completely caught them off guard. They, as well as the obsidian monsters, had taken notice of the newly found creatures. The obsidian monsters, however, had taken a liking to them. They would eat them and become infused with there power. Some had even evolved into hideous monsters of every shape and size. Some had fangs, others had very long legs, and the rest had other features of the Monolithious. They all had something in common though. They all were still shaped like the Obsidian Monsters. Kynoto, Triasha, and Rouin began to kill the Monolithious. They found something that the Obsidian Monsters had in common with these creatures. They both had Trianchu stones in them, so when they killed the hybrids they noticed that they got 2 Trianchu stones in stead of one. When they had the last of the dispatched the last of the hybrids, there was complete silence. Not a bird or animal was making any noise. Then Kynoto sensed something. Off in the distance he could feel a strange yet familiar presence. He did not know what this meant. Then it occurred to him that Knifes was not around the area.

“Was anyone watching Knifes?” Kynoto asked the rest of the group, sounding as though he had seen a ghost.

Triasha and Rouin answered, “No, we weren’t. We thought that you were?!”

“I was, until we started to fight. Then, I sort of lost track of time,” Kynoto responded, his voice quaking with the fear of what could happen if they didn’t find Knifes soon.

Chapter 8

Thy Enemy Revealed

It was now midday and they still hadn’t found Knifes. Kynoto was beginning to get worried. He knew what would happen if they did not find him soon. He knew all to well, for he himself had once been like Knifes. His power would, at times of great stress, take control of him. This control was named Kynotoishi, the very embodiment of the Hero of Light himself. But the Hero of Light became twisted and evil from the torrents of power being thrown down upon him. He had become a being of absolute evil and was silenced by his enemy Triasha. But Knifes power was just as different as different could be. His power seemed somehow so powerful that it had come to life. He could not explain it, but it was the best explanation they had so far. He knew that if they did not find Knifes soon that his overwhelming power would eventually consume him. Kynoto made Triasha and Rouin look for Knifes for another five hours before giving up the search.

“Let’s go back and look around what is left of the cabin. He might have fled there after the
fight started,” Kynoto told the others. They hurried back to the clearing where the cabin had previously resided. They looked around for about an hour without finding anything, then...

“Hey, guys, I found something!” Rouin yelled to the other two. The object Rouin discovered was a stone tablet of an undeterminable age. It had many blood stains on it. It had a strange writing on it that Kynoto knew nothing of.

“Hey, Triasha, what do you make of this? Can you read it?” Kynoto asked Triasha. Triasha walked over to take a look at the tablet and began to translate it out loud,

“I spill my blood for thy. Thy spill Thine blood for me. We both spill our blood for our savior, Helanata, the Goddess of Blood who, one day, will come and condemn those who have opposed her by spilling their blood into the depths of hell itself.” Triasha closed his eyes then said sympathetically,

“Oh my, this godforsaken race. Let me explain. Back when I was young, my mother left me in the care of these people. They viewed my mother as the ‘Goddess of Blood’ and so I was treated as a god. But, when my mother never returned, they tried to sacrifice me. That’s when I first became aware of my powers. I ended up killing every single one of them. I watched their blood flow through the crevasses of the alter, to the blood pool underneath the pedestal where the ‘priests’ preached their lore of sacrifice,” Triasha said, as he began to stare at the tablet blankly. Then he felt something that startled him. He asked hurriedly,

“….!! Where did you find this?” Triasha asked Rouin. Rouin pointed to a hole on the ground. Triasha blasted the hole. He then ran to the newly enlarged hole and jumped into it. The others followed him.

“Triasha, where are you going?” Kynoto asked, as Rouin entered the hole behind him. Triasha was up ahead not answering as he sped up. For the first time Kynoto had noticed that they were in a tunnel. When he inspected the walls closer he noticed that they were made out of human bones. Everything in the tunnel was made out of human bones. Then he remembered what his father had told him a long time ago. A story of a well that’s walls were made out of human bones. It was then he realized that this was the Well of Sacrifice. It was a well that was used for sacrifices of elders and prophets, the blood in this well, long ago, had run greatly and was now dry. They finally caught up to Triasha. He was standing looking at the wall. Now Rouin came up behind the two who were looking at the wall.

“What is up with the wall?” Rouin asked. He was hushed by Kynoto. He then saw that there was a hole in the wall. In the room on the other side was Knifes and another figure. One that he had never hoped to see again. It was Kynotoishi. He had Knifes chained to a wall. Asking him about his powers and how to unlock them, so that he could steal them for himself. Knifes was resisting though. Then Knifes saw Kynoto through the hole in the wall. He was not the only one. Kynotoishi had noticed them as well.

“I was wondering when you would get here, Kynoto,” Said the familiar voice of Kynotoishi, “I shall meet you outside,” with saying that he and Knifes were gone. They hurried back outside where Kynotoishi and Knifes were waiting for them. There was a hole in the ground next to Kynotoishi, which would point to the fact that Kynotoishi had tried to escape with Knifes before Kynoto, Triasha, and Rouin could get there, but Knifes had resisted. He threw Knifes out of the way with his energy. Knifes went sprawling. Kynotoishi and the other prepare to engage each other. They were about to start the fight when they all heard a yell issue from Knifes.
I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes....Or should I?

Chapter 9

The First Awakening

“I won’t be pushed around anymore! This is it!! This is the last time you ignore me!!! It is time for me to reveal myself!!!! This time it will be different!!!!!” Knifes screamed, as the ground started to shake. At hearing, and feeling, this, everyone stopped fighting and turned around to look at Knifes. His eyes were glowing red; his power was already ten fold of its original and was still rising at an alarming rate. Pieces of rock and dirt were now starting to swirl around him. Kynoto stared in amazement.

“So his power really wasn’t alive it was just Kynotoishi trying to get out of Knifes, and now Knifes has conquered his incredible power,” Kynoto said to himself, in a low, stunned tone. Kynotoishi was just as surprised as anyone else and, more or less, terrified of this power with which he was now faced. Kynotoishi began to tremble with fear. He had never anticipated this reaction from the boy.

“It is incredible! His power is even higher then ever before!” Triasha said, his voice trembling with a little fear and excitement. Then he was looking at Kynoto. “What should we do?”

“We will see what happens. I think this time we should let him fight his own battle. It also appears as though he has surpassed all of us in strength,” Kynoto replied, to the astonished Triasha. The ground was still shaking from the might of Knifes and now he was encased in the swirling of rocks. They began to glow with a white light. Then they stopped, suspended in mid air. The smaller rocks turned to dust. The larger ones began to move in the opposite direction. The light had now turned into a deep crimson. Kynoto, Triasha, Rouin, and Kynotoishi stood watching and waiting, waiting for the real Knifes to show him self. Finally after what seemed an eternity the rocks were vaporized by the strength of Knifes’ energy. Nobody was paying any attention to that though, they were looking at Knifes. He had emerged from hiding. He was no longer the timid, peaceful, and kind Knifes that Kynoto knew, but a new Knifes, one who was bold, brave, courageous, and unbelievably strong. Somehow the rocks had masked his energy and now that they were gone his true power shown forth. His power was ten thousand fold of what Kynoto ever expected it to be. From the first day he meet him, Kynoto knew that he would be strong. Kynoto knew that from the time his powers were shown for what they were, that he would be even stronger than he first imagined, but never had he thought that he would succumb to this level of infeasible power. It seemed that the power that Knifes had was not reachable by anyone in existence. Now Kynotoishi was just downright terrified of Knifes. He stood there, trembling, as he looked upon ‘his’ creation.

‘Yes it was my doing’, he thought, ‘I knocked him back with my own power to move him out of the way,’ Kynotoishi thought, as he looked down at Knifes.

“Kynotoishi, it is time for you to meat your demise.” Knifes said, in a deep voice that was not of his own as he took a step forward as Kynotoishi took a step back. He did this not only out of fright of Knifes, but also because Knifes was causing short chasms to appear in front of Kynotoishi with every step he took. On top of that every time he took a step his power grew slightly. “Is this the power of the great Kynotoishi? Ha ha-ha hahahahahahahaha!!!” Knifes said, sniggering sinisterly, “Because if it is, then you are out challenged!” he said, his voice etched with anger

“No, it is not.” Kynotoishi said his voice trembling violently as he forced himself to stare right in to the eyes of the grim reaper. He knew his death was as good as written in stone, yet he still, every second, forced himself to look in to the pits of Hades itself through the eyes of this boy. He was condemned beyond all hope of winning the following battle. He, Kynotoishi, the clone of Kynoto spawned from Triashas’ Purple Trianchu, was about to be beaten by a child. The thought of it made his blood boil. He would not be beaten by this child, even if it meant showing his true power and by the looks of things, he was going to have to. He was now backed up against the edge of a cliff, not paying any attention to where he was walking as he stared straight into Knife’s eyes.

“Are you going to jump?” Knifes asked, as a low laugh followed. Knifes continued to step towards Kynotoishi. Kynotoishi then stopped and started to laugh,

“Ha-ha hahahahahahahahaha, you think you have me cornered? Well you are wrong! I have only begun to toy with you boy! Now all shall hold witness to my true power!” As he said this, Kynoto detected something different about him. Then Knifes took one final step forward and Kynotoishi proved his threat.

Chapter 10

Fight of the Titans

Kynotoishi had not been bluffing. Kynoto soon found out what he was talking about. Kynotoishi, since having been trapped inside of Knifes, had absorbed some of his power. He now powered up and was almost if not exactly as powerful as Knifes. Now the fight of the titans had begun.

Knifes had started the battle as Kynotoishi marveled at his powers aimlessly.

“The Mystic Sword of Chronos, aid me in my time of need!” he shouted at the Heavens. Then a bright red sword, with the words Chronos written in gold on one side of it, appeared in the air. Kynoto was startled. The prophecies were wrong. The fiend was not Knifes, but Kynotoishi and the savior was Knifes. He knew this because the sword of the mystic planet of Chronos, which had once been considered lost, was now found as it was summoned by a 9 year old boy. Kynoto thought, ‘‘This will surely be the end of Kynotoishi, and to think that he would fall not by my hand, but by the hand of a 9 year old boy,’’ Now done marveling at his powers, Kynotoishi became aware of the swords presence and summoned his, the Death Bringer. It was made of a pure black substance of which he could not determine. The words ‘destroyer of light, Veronimine’ were emblazed on its black leathered hilt. The sword was a two-handed sword, very big and heavy. Yet Kynotoishi wielded it as if it were as light as a feather.

“Ah, I see that your blade, when in your hands, is a light and merciless weapon, but should I try to pick it up it would become as heavy as if it were boulder.” Knifes said reverently, as he watched Kynotoishi whirl it around trying to get the hang of its balance.

“That is correct. You are very perceptive boy, but that won’t save you now, not after I unleash my true powers.” Kynotoishi said confidently as he powered up to an even higher goal. He would become a person in control of the absolutely most powerful Trianchu in the galaxy. He would be able to perform Ultra Trianchu.

“H-How can he have all of this power?” Triasha asked, as he stumbled backwards to the ground.

“I have no idea and this might get ugly, but I will hold my promise to have Knifes fight this one alone. He needs the reassurance that we all know that he can fight his own battles with out any help,” Kynoto told the rest of them. Then there was a flash and Knifes came sailing to the ground. Kynotoishi had completed his transformation. Kynoto looked on in horror to see that he was now stronger then all of them combined. Then he heard Knifes mutter something,

“Help me. Please, help me.” Then Kynoto got an idea.

“Don’t pay any attention to Knifes,” Kynoto whispered to the rest of them. His plan eventually worked.

“What is this!? First I don’t need your help and you ignore me and now when I need your help you ignore me! Fine, if that is how it is then fine, I’ll kill him myself!” Knifes yelled.

“You’ll kill me? Ha-ha hahaha, that is very funny because I could have sworn about a second ago you were begging those buffoons for help,” Kynotoishi said, in mock terror.

“Even though they ignore me, they are still my friends! I am going to make you regret that you even said that!” Knifes replied, hotly, to Kynotoishi. Then Kynoto said to Knifes,

“Don’t bite off more then you can chew Knifes. He is much more powerful then you,” Kynoto said, warning Knifes of the danger. This only made Knifes more agitated than he was. Then something happened that no one except Kynotoishi expected to happen. Kynotoishi, now becoming impatient, had killed Rouin while Triasha and Kynoto watched Knifes.

Chapter 11

The Second Awakening

Knifes stood there, his face etched with fear and an uncontrollable sorrow. His power level dropped to zero and he ran to his fallen comrade, dropping his sword as he went. “No, no, not you!” Knifes sobbed, as he looked upon the dead Rouin, “What did he ever do to you to deserve this, Kynotoishi!?” Knifes said, his eyes shown like fires.

“I did it just to get your attention, nothing more, and it looks like it has served its purpose.” Kynotoishi said, with an amused tone in his voice. Knifes’ point of agitation had been reached and he was now overflowing with anger. He turned and faced Kynotoishi.

“Kynotoishi, I have tried to persuade you to turn good, but that has failed. Now I am left with only one solution. Your death!” Knifes said, his voice ringing with frustration and anger. He looked up at Kynotoishi and then he looked at Rouin. Knifes sorrow and fear had now turned to hate and anger. Then, when Kynotoishi was least expecting it, Knifes vanished and reappeared directly in front of him. Knifes gave Kynotoishi a sever blow to his stomach, which knocked him backwards, Kynotoishi was spewing blood as he went. Knifes power, Kynotoishi had noticed, jumped from zero to one hundred thousand in a second and he was rather surprised by that, since he could never do that. Kynotoishi thought,

‘Is there no limit to his power?’

Knifes was now emitting a dark aura and his power now surpassed Kynotoishi in power and in his ability to control Trianchu. He had tapped into his powers and let his dark and evil side out. Then the ground started to shake. “Now to push my power farther then ever before! To take it to a whole new level!! To avenge Rouin and bring death to thy fiend, Kynotoishi!!!” Knifes shouted up to Kynotoishi, as his power was ever getting greater. Everyone had to jump off the ground and hover when Knifes shook the cliff apart.

‘How is this possible? Were they as good of friends as he is saying? If they were then that was the push that he needed to go all out against Kynotoishi.’ Kynoto thought to himself as he watched, transfixed on Knifes. Knifes, who was now so angry that his eyes were turning red with blood as he strained to power up to his ultimate height, was laughing with the pleasure of seeing Kynotoishi immobilized with fear.

“What’s wrong Kynotoishi? Afraid of my power? If so you had better give up because I am just getting started.” Knifes said, as he laughed insanely. Then Knifes stopped powering up. In a split second he was right next to Kynotoishi and had dealt him another serious blow to the stomach. Kynotoishi flew backwards from the force of the blow, coughing up blood as he went. He slammed into the side of the cliff causing part of it to collapse making a ledge; sat there, then slowly got up. He looked at Knifes, then he yelled with a large boost of power.

“I SHALL NOT BE BEATIN BY THIS CHILD!!!!!!” He shouted, “That is it, if you want the real Kynotoishi, then here he comes and if you are wondering about what I am talking about, just ask Kynoto and he will tell you what you are about to bare witness to!”

“Kynoto, what is he talking about?” Knifes asked Kynoto inquisitively, not taking his eyes off Kynotoishi.

“No. No he wouldn’t. He couldn’t, could he? There is just no way he could have found out my secret.” Kynoto mumbled to himself.

“What are you talking about?!” Knifes asked: now facing Kynoto.

“I’ll give you five minutes to explain Kynoto, no more no less.” Kynotoishi said to Kynoto, though reluctant to give them any more time then he already had.

Chapter 12

Kynoto's Secret

“A long time ago I was in a great battle with Triasha. We were great enemies, always fighting. Then Triasha pulled off a stunt that would hinder me for a long time to come. He invented a type of Trianchu that created a clone of the person it was used on. The clone would become evil and attack the original. Kynotoishi is such one of those clones. Back when I was an Angel, he possessed my body when I fought to get revenge on Triasha. During that time he must have found out how to access my secret power. In saying this, remember that he is an exact copy of me except he is evil and I am not. Now it looks as though he has gained that power from me and is going to show it now. In the end he will be much stronger than a Hyper Angel or any Demon for that matter. He will be powerful beyond compare, but you still have a grater power and now it is time for you to show it.” Kynoto said, Knifes taking in every word of it. Kynotoishi clapped three times then said,

“Very good. I could not have said it better myself, well, except for the last part,” Kynotoishi said, smiling slightly, “Now bare witness to my power. In the sky the clouds were building up and the winds picked up. Kynotoishi was starting to glow with a purplish-black color. The ground started to shake violently.

“What is causing this??” Gabriel asked, as he held council with Celestial. He peered down to Earth. When he looked up his face was very pale. “Holy Heaven, it’s Kynotoishi!!?” he said, as he almost fell off of his chair in astonishment.

“It is as if the whole planet is shaking!” Kynoto said, his voice shaking from the grounds shaking.

“Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!!! Now I have the ultimate power!! Ball of Death!” Kynotoishi yelled. The attack caught Knifes off guard and enveloped him. “This attack should kill you easily.” He said, a crazed laugh ringing in his voice. Everyone thought Knifes was a goner. Then something caught Kynotoishi’s eye. He noticed that the attack had not finished; it had not disappeared like it was supposed to. “Why hasn’t it finished yet?” He wondered. Then his answer came.

From within the ball they heard a scream, the ball turned red. No one knew what was going on inside of the ball, but they all could sense that the ball had gained more strength then anyone had been able to fathom while they were talking. Kynoto’s guess was that it was Knifes. The ball began to pulse irregularly as if a red lighting storm was going on inside. The clouds continued to build. Then the ball turned whiter then snow. It hurt Kynotoishi’s eyes to look at it. “Ho-How is this possible???? How could it be getting stronger if I am not giving it any power???? No…No it could not be. He would have been destroyed by it as soon as it hit him,” Kynotoishi said, his eyes widening. Then his fears were proved to be correct. The ball exploded open and there, floating, appearing as a might juggernaut, was Knifes.

“Kynotoishi, you shall die before this hour is over,” Knifes said, as the very sound of his voice made Kynotoishi tremble with fear. “Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, Berserker Mode!!!!” Knifes yelled.

Kynoto thought, “The sleeper has awakened.” Triasha was in complete awe as he watched Knifes enter Berserker mode. ‘The sleeper will awaken, the sky will turn red and the dogs of hell will be unleashed upon thine enemy. He will wither and he will writhe in the destruction of his mortality.’ Kynoto repeated the last section of the prophecy as Knifes went all out on Kynotoishi.

This was not a pretty battle. Kynotoishi hardly got any attacks in, and when he did it only made Knifes stronger. “Berserker Slash Attack!” Knifes yelled, as he began the process of slashing Kynotoishi with his sword, which he had, at sometime, picked up off the ground when Kynotoishi was not paying attention. Kynoto had paid no attention to the sword, Chronos, as the battle was beginning, but now he could see it, just as its owner, had under gone a transformation to a great power. The blade had turned from a ruby-red to an emerald-green. It had turned green because Knifes had given it enough physical power to have called on the life force of Coronus to add to its power and now it was ripping Kynotoishi apart limb from limb, literally. Kynotoishi was currently missing his left hand, right ear, and his left leg. There was something odd about this though. He wasn’t bleeding. Knifes, Kynoto had noticed this, but Triasha hadn’t and was still cheering Knifes on. Then, so abruptly that Triasha fell backwards in astonishment again, Knifes stopped attacking Kynotoishi. Triasha had now, out of pure curiosity of why Knifes had stopped, looked and noticed that Kynotoishi was not bleeding from his severed limbs.

“Why aren’t you bleeding?” Knifes asked the now stunned Kynotoishi, who was surprised that Knifes had stopped attacking him now. Kynotoishi gave a slight smile and said,

“That is something that you would not be able to comprehend, Boy. Have Kynoto tell you later, if you live through what will happen if you as much as tap me with that sword again.”

“Well, isn’t this interesting, and I thought you were at full so I was holding back. Now that I know you are also holding back, lets, so to speak, pull out all of the stops.” Knifes said, as he stabbed Kynotoishi through the heart. Kynotoishi looked wide-eyed.

“How can he have more power then what he has now?! This is insane, but that won’t matter now, I will kill him in anyway I can, and that could be as many as 100, if I power-up correctly,” Kynotoishi thought. Then he started to power-up. “Let’s see where this goes,” He said.

“Now I will break down all of the barriers to my power and unleash its full intensity upon you, so prepare you self, Kynotoishi,” Knifes said, as he began the process of powering-up.

“Meaningless words, unless you can back them up,” Kynotoishi said, his voice trembling with anger. Their powers were increasing simultaneously. They were dead even for a long time, then Kynotoishi pulled ahead.

“Knifes, he is feeding off fear of his fear of you again. Focus your thoughts on yours of Demons. Kynotoishi is a Demon of the worst kind. He is a byproduct of Kynotos’ evil. He is a Demon of the greatest power. Concentrate all of your thoughts on your hatred of Demons and of him. Then you will find that you are much stronger then him,” a voice said in the back of Knifes thoughts, “please avenge my death.” It was Rouin. Somehow, that Knifes could not tell nor comprehend, Rouin was communicating to him from beyond the grave. Now Knifes concentrated every fiber of his being on his hatred of Demons. Then he felt the headaches that had not surfaced for such a very long time. He remembered that these were his energies fluctuating and if he could control them, his power would be released in greater amounts. His headaches began to intensify though. They were more painful then he had ever thought that they would be. He stressed to control them, but his control was slipping ever so slightly. Then he lost control completely. Kynoto noticed this too, for out of the corner of his eye, Knifes saw Kynoto telling Triasha to get Rouin’s lifeless body and to get back as far as they could.

“Kynotoishi, I bid you luck, as this could get very messy for you,” Kynoto said, as he flew off. Knifes heard this as not but an eco in his mind. He was to centered on himself to take any notice, as he tried to control his headaches.

“What’s wrong Boy, too scared to even look at me?” Kynotoishi gloated, as he powered-up past that of what had been Knifes’ power level that fearful night that had taken Wantene’s life. He saw Knifes look up and Kynotoishi nearly fell to the ground. He saw not the same Knifes he had just been fighting, but one that had only made a rare appearance once. He saw what Kynoto feared in this boy, and what could not be tamed. The sky was filled with red clouds. They were so red that it looked as though they were made of blood. The storm had begun.

Chapter 13

The Fight for the World Begins

As Kynotoishi, dumbfounded about Knifes recent transformation, gloated about his power, he failed to notice Knifes energy. It was now almost as strong as his. The storm, in direct connection with Knifes, had also gotten stronger. Knifes on the other hand was a different story. He had dropped his power level slightly below Kynotoishi’s so that he could devote all of his attention to his power. The only thing that Kynotoishi could sense was Knifes power. He could not tell that the storm and Knifes powers’ power had gotten stronger.

“Hahaha, do you think you stand a chance against me, Boy?” said Kynotoishi, laughing hysterically. “Because if you do, then you are in for a surprise. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!” There was a flash as Kynotoishi finished his transformation into a being of supreme power. He was now 20,000 times stronger then Knifes. Kynoto sensed this and it stopped him in his tracks.

“What is Knifes doing? He should have all the power he needs, but he hasn’t even started to gain his power.” Kynoto said. Then he felt it, the full scope of the storms power and he stumbled backward, as if he was hit by something.

“What is it?” asked Triasha, as he watched Kynoto tremble in fear. This had been the first time he had ever seen Kynoto so afraid of something, so he was very worried.

“The storm, sss-ss-s-sense its energy,” Kynoto said, stuttering so bad that Triasha could barely understand him. Only when Kynoto pointed to the storm did Triasha look at it.

“HOLY….,” Triasha said no more as he had trip over a rock and knocked himself out in the process. The storm was at least 200 times stronger then Kynotoishi was now. Kynoto had no explanation of this. He was completely and utterly flabbergasted. He wondered how strong Knifes was if the storm was this strong.

Back at the battle, Kynotoishi had noticed the storm, as he had just been struck by a lightning bolt. “Where did this come from?” he wondered. “No, no, he could not have. No human could create this, unless, no he couldn’t be, he wouldn’t be..” Knifes finished his sentence for him,

“An Ascendant, well how did you guess?” Knifes asked Kynotoishi, who was now staring at him. He had not thought that his power level was as high as it was now about 2 minutes ago. He began to think quickly. Then he thought of it. The storm. It was not influenced by Knifes power, it was influenced by Knifes’ power’s power. Then he realized he must have added that power to his own.

‘No, this will not be allowed. I must beat him here and now, this world has been here far to long,’ thought Kynotoishi, “Ok Knifes. You have established yourself as my equal, in my human form. But you must know something. Kynoto was an Ascendant, then I was created, a perfect clone of Kynoto, so that means I, too, am an Ascendant. Except I am an evil one, and an evil Ascendant is nothing to mess around with,” Kynotoishi said, with a tone of superiority ringing in his voice.

“You might know that you are an Ascendant, but can you unlock the power of one, Kynotoishi?” Kynoto shouted from where he was at, to his mortal enemy. Kynotoishi began to laugh,

“I will let you be the judge of that Kynoto,” He shouted back, looking at Knifes, not bothering to look at Kynoto. Kynotoishi flew to the ground and stuck his sword into the ground. He then sat on the ground and started to meditate, as he did so his energy level began to rise, as well as his body. Kynotoishi was now floating about 5 feet off the ground and his power level was amazingly high, yet Knifes did nothing but smirk as he said,

“Is that all you’ve got?” At hearing this, Kynotoishi stopped meditating to look up at Knifes.

“Hmmmmm, maybe I have underestimated him,” Kynotoishi thought as Knifes unleashed his Ascendant powers. He and Knifes were now evenly matched. Kynoto thought that this battle would go on forever, until he saw something that changed his mind. While Kynotoishi was gloating about his power Knifes had disappeared and reappeared right behind Kynotoishi. As Kynotoishi became aware of this and he tried to block the punch that Knifes had thrown, but did so unsuccessfully. Kynotoishi was sent into the ground and didn’t move, then Knifes flew down and blasted the fallen fighter several more times just to make sure. Sure enough, he was dead, or so they thought. At this time, Triasha had awoken. He saw before him the Knifes that he knew, not the harsh fighter, but the kind and gentle Knifes.

“What happened to Kynotoishi?” he asked, in a dazed tone as he had just recovered from his accident.

“He is dead, at last.” Kynoto said, a ring of satisfaction in his voice. Then he felt something that made his blood run cold as ice. He turned around to see, with great horror, Kynotoishi standing before him, but there was something wrong. He looked much different. Kynotoishi said in a deep voice,

“Thank you, Knifes, for letting me shed my disguise and to reveal my true self.” At hearing this, Knifes turned around to see a demonic Kynotoishi staring at him. This was his true form. He looked like most demons, he had long sharp horns, rotting skin that was oozing with puss and blood, his eyes were a reddish-yellow, and he was about twice as tall as Knifes.

“How is it that you can be still alive? I broke your neck in 3 places with that punch.” Said Knifes in disbelief as he looked upon this demon.

“Ahhh, so you don’t know. How interesting. Well to put it basicly, you killed me and I shed my human form.” He said, as a grin spread across his face, “Therefore, I am no longer human, and those rules do not apply to me. I can increase me strength as much as I want to, the will be no limit. As I rise up and conquer Knifes, so shall it be that the end of the world is nigh.” Kynotoishi stated, as is power tripled and doubled once more.
I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes....Or should I?

Chapter 14

Dragon of Darkness

As Kynotoishi powered up, Knifes noticed that he was not holding back any longer. This was going to be the final battle. He knew it, Kynoto knew it, and Triasha knew it. However, even though Knifes knew it, he would not accept it as his fate and die. This time, Knifes, having gone into a deep trance of thought, had forgotten about Kynotoishi and had let his guard down. Kynotoishi did not waste a second. He saw this as his opportune moment to rid himself of Knifes. Knifes was taking blow after blow and becoming weaker with each hit he sustained.

“No!! This should not have happened.” Kynoto said, a heat of anger rose in his voice. Then he felt something. He felt Knifes disappear completely. Kynoto could not feel his energy anywhere. This, however, also had Kynotoishi lost for words. Kynoto flew back to the battle scene where he saw what he feared.

“Ha..Hahahahahaha! Is this your savior Kynoto? Hahahahahahahahahahaha! Look Kynoto, look at your last hope as it dies. Then witness your own destruction. Hahaaha! Shouted Kynotoishi, an insane laugh ringing in every word he spoke.

“No, h-how could this have happened. He was the chosen one that the prophecy spoke of. Were the prophecies truly wrong?” Kynoto said in disbelieve. Kynoto was now faced with a serious problem. If the prophecies were wrong, then the destruction of the planet was unavoidable, but he, as Knifes, was not going to accept this fate set before him. He made his decision. He was going to fight for the planet with Kynotoishi. Kynoto's anger instantly flared up from nowhere and with it came a tremendous amount of power. Enough to catch Kynotoishis’ attention.

“Eh, what’s this?? Where did he get that power from? What is he??!! His power is greater then even mine. H-How is that possible?? Ahhhh, I know. You, Kynoto, are feeding off of your anger. Well two can play this game.” Kynotoishi said, a tone of agonizing disbelief in his voice, as he began to power up. Kynoto and Kynotoishi were evenly matched in every way, but that is how it had to be, since Kynotoishi was a clone of Kynoto. Both of them knew that this would be the final confrontation and that one of them was going to die, but as for which one was going to die they could not say.

“It appears that we are as the same as same can be, yet we are different.” Said Kynoto, as he said this Kynotoishi looked at him in confusion.

“What do you mean?” he asked looking completely mystified.

“I mean this!” Kynoto said as a burst of energy came to him, “Even though you are a clone of me, the original is always better, so therefore, you are weaker then me!!” Kynoto half said half shouted as his power level rose at a dramatic rate. Kynoto was now much stronger then Kynotoishi had ever anticipated. Then something happened that no one had expected. In distraction, Kynotoishi, having forgotten that Knifes had not been killed, let out a joyous yell, turned and dealt a killing blow to Knifes, who had just reappeared behind him.

“Hahaha, now Knifes energy is mine!” Kynotoishi yelled joyously, as he went to take Knifes energy. Kynoto could not believe that Knifes was killed in one hit. “Wow, he has lots of energy doesn’t he. Its only ¼ gone and I have tripled my power. Hmmm, this should do it,” Kynotoishi said, shaking with mirth. Kynoto then noticed something. Knifes still had some energy, but at the time he thought nothing of it. “Dark Spirits of Death!” Kynotoishi yelled. A giant hand came up from the ground and grabbed Kynoto.

“ Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!” Kynoto screamed in agony as this attack hit him. It drained his strength so fast that Kynoto had no chance to retaliate. Then he sensed some movement from Knifes, and then he felt it. An overwhelming power and it was coming from Knifes.

“W-What is this? How is he still alive? No, nooo, I left power in him. What a mistake that was. Well, I shall have to kill him,” Kynotoishi stammered in confusion of the resurrecting of Knifes.

“I think not!” Knifes said, as burst of power issuing from him, as his anger began to rise. Rocks began to break away from the ground and ascended toward the Heavens.

“Gabriel, what is that power? Celestial asked, as the rocks began to enter Heaven.

“It seems Kynotoishi will be destroyed by what he created. It’s Knifes, Kynoto’s student.” Gabriel said, a look of triumph on his face, “ I am going down to watch. You may come if you want to.

“What the? Why are you here?” Kynoto asked the two angels who had just arrived.

“We are here to see the downfall of that tyrant and to, of course, see your handy work. I do believe this boy here was trained by you wasn’t he?” Gabriel asked the now stunned Kynoto.

“Well, yes I did train him,” Kynoto said, fumbling around with the words as though he had barely got them out of his mouth. Now all of the attention turned toward The Boy and The Clone. Knifes wasted no time in attacking. By the time Kynotoishi noticed that Knifes was attacking him, he was already on the ground with a broken arm and a bloody nose.

“H-How is he that fast?” Kynotoishi stammered in amazement.

Knifes said, in a triumphant tone, “I am because I am. Nothing more, nothing less.” Knifes dealt Kynotoishi a few more sever blows to the head and stomach. This left Kynotoishi doubled over in pain. Knifes had managed to break all but 2 of his ribs.

“You want to play rough huh? Well, let’s get serious then.” Kynotoishi said as he increased his power. Now Knifes was going to have some trouble and the reason was very simple. If he used his Trianchu to its full extent he could very well destroy the world, but regardless of this Knifes had made his decision. He rattled out an incantation and a ball of black Trianchu appeared over Kynotoishi. It flew down and surrounded him. Then the air was filled with his screams. When the attack had finished, Kynotoishi appeared out of a cloud of red smoke and dust. They all saw that Kynotoishi had been run trough several times by a spike of some sort. He fell onto one knee and said in a weak voice, “Y-You want to use Trianchu now do you? Well then, I say bring it. I have only yet begun to fight.”

“Where is all of his energy coming from?” Gabriel asked as Kynotoishi once again powered up. Kynoto gave him a once word answer,

“Ascendant.”

“I am getting tired of these bystanders. I think I will kill some of them.” Kynotoishi said grinning evilly. He launched off a ball of Black Trianchu at Kynoto and the others. Kynoto managed to deflect it back at Kynotoishi, who sustained the attack. Knifes now tried to get Kynotoishi to focus on him instead of the others. He used his quick movement to, again, attack Kynotoishi. This time Kynotoishi was ready for him, yet the result ended in the same manner as before. Knowing what Knifes was going to do, Kynotoishi tried to counter attack him, but Knifes made a quick adjustment to his attack to compensate for this. Knifes set Kynotoishi sprawling on the ground. Kynotoishi got up quickly and retaliated with a Trianchu technique. The ball of Trianchu hit Knifes, who was not expecting it. “Hahaha, the more you struggle, the more entangled you’ll become, yet if you don’t struggle at all, it will kill you. Decisions, decisions, hahaha.” Kynotoishi said laughing maliciously as Knifes struggled to get out of the attack.

“I..I have to get away from this. It’s draining my energy.” Knifes said heavily, as he struggled to free himself. “No, I wont let it end here. I wont let him win, for the sake of this planet, I must destroy him! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!” Knifes yelled. In a split second Knifes went from almost dead to thriving. His power now far exceeded Kynotoishi’s and he was still gaining. Lighting started to strike down from a cloudless sky, the sea became violent, and the ground was shaking. 5 of these lightning bolts converged and hit Knifes, but instead of killing him, they gave him tremendous power. Kynotoishi had never felt anything like this horror. This was not a child he was faced with, it was a monster. Gabriel was just as amazed.

“Kynoto, how did this boy get this kind of power?” he asked as he looked at Knifes in an astonished disbelief.

“He had this power even before I started to train him. He, I think, is the chosen one. The one that will lead us to salvation from evil. No matter how great that evil is or may become. I first became aware of this power on that fateful day. We had just started to train him, be had gotten some injuries so I told him to use his White Trianchu. As he began, I sensed something. I told him to power up as far as he could go, and he did, but perhaps a little too much. A gigantic storm came out of nowhere and it was very strong. Then I felt 3 different energies. One of them was Knifes, one was the storms, which is also part of Knifes’ energy, and the third was Kynotoishi. Don’t ask me how, but somehow, Kynotoishi got into Knifes’ soul and feed off of his energy until he was strong enough to emerge.” Kynoto explained to Gabriel in great detail.

“I see, so this is a natural talent. Well then, Kynotoishi knows he is going to lose now. If he thinks he can win, then he is fooling himself.” Gabriel said, as to make Kynotoishi nervous. His tactic worked. Kynoto noticed a hint of fear in Kynotoishi’s face.

“Hahahaha, scared Kynotoishi?” Kynoto asked, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

“Mocking me are you? Well won’t you be surprised when I win this fight.” Kynotoishi said with confidence. Kynotoishi has always had confidence in himself in a hard situation, a trait undoubtedly gained from Kynoto. “Black Blades of Death”, said Kynotoishi. The air around him blackened and materialized into small spikes of strong Black Trianchu. This was a special technique that Kynotoishi had made, since Kynoto had no recollection of it. As Kynotoishis’ power increased, so did the density of the spikes. Now the spikes were the size of small daggers, but they still got larger. They stopped when they got to the size of medium sized swords, then they flew into Knifes, so fast that Knifes had no time to react. “Hahaha, it seems the once invincible Knifes is no more.” Kynotoishi laughed as he watched Knifes fall backwards due to his wounds. Kynoto ran forward to help Knifes. He saw that Knifes had lost a lot of blood and was looking pale. Kynoto removed the remains of the attack form Knifes body. This, however, only increased Knifes bleeding.

“Knifes, you’re going to make it.” Kynoto said reassuringly. Knifes spat up a large amount of blood and replied,

“I know. If anything, this will make me stronger.” Knifes said, now getting up to re-confront Kynotoishi.

“Still alive eh? Well, we can fix that now can’t we.” Kynotoishi said, enthusiasm ringing in his voice. Knifes now was, again, standing in front of Kynotoishi. Then Knifes did something that puzzled him.

“Powers of white, come to my aid!” Knifes said reverently. As he did so, the air around him began to swirl and Knifes began to glow. After 3 minutes of this Knifes stopped glowing and the wind had ceased its movement and was once again calm. To Kynotoishi’s greatest amazement, Knifes had been fully healed. All of the wounds that he inflicted on to Knifes were now non-existent.

“How did you? But, I know I hurt you. So why, why have you’re wounds disappeared?” Kynotoishi asked, his voice trembling with a little anger and fear of this newly discovered, to him at least, power.

“Hahaha, nice to see that you noticed.” Knifes said gleefully. Kynotoishi now had to figure out how to hurt Knifes in such a way that he could not use his powers to recover from the injuries. Then he remembered one of his very old attacks. It was perfect for this occasion, but it would be a strenuous task as Kynotoishi had not used it in such a long time.

“Heh, the battle is going to end here and now Knifes, and Kynoto won’t be able to save you this time. Trianchu Blade attack!” Kynotoishi chanted as his sword glowed with a greenish-black light. Kynotoishi executed this attack perfectly. Having caught Knifes off guard with the first blow and leaving a large gash in Knifes side, he prepared his next attack. This one, however, was deflected by Knifes, but 1 slash was enough. The attack had done its job. This was an attack designed to steal the victims Trianchu. 1 slash from this attack drained Knifes of 3/4ths of his power leaving him with not enough power to even heal him. “Not so powerful are you, now that you don’t have any Trianchu.” Kynotoishi said, a grin splitting his face as he advanced on the now Trianchuless Knifes. Kynoto now knew what Kynotoishi planned. “Black Blades of Death, destroy thy enemy. As before, the attack hit Knifes and knocked him to the ground. This time though, Knifes did not get up.

“I….I feel no energy coming form him.” Gabriel said, in a tone of disbelief.

“No…. Knifes…get up!” Kynoto said, his voice trembling with anger. Kynoto ran to Knifes.

“K..K.Kynoto. lean close to me and I will tell you how to unlock your power.” Knifes struggled to say as blood gushed from his mouth and nose. He whispered something in Kynoto’s ear then fainted dead away. Celestial began to cry, tears running down both sides of her beautiful face. Kynoto stood up and looked down at the dead Knifes, then to his killer, Kynotoishi.

“Kynotoishi,” Kynoto paused, “you have shown me what you really are and Knifes has shown me the light. You will die before me. You will die not only for Knifes, but, also, because it is a sin to make an angel cry, moreover, it’s a sin beyond all reasoning to make a female angel cry.” Kynoto said this, his voice etched with tremendous anger. His power was growing very fast. He walked over to Celestial, told her to stop crying and started towards Kynotoishi.

“How… How could you have this much power and still have hidden it from me?” Kynotoishi stammered as he stared at Kynoto. “Wait, what was the light thing.. oh no.” Kynotoishi groaned as he figured out the riddle. Then Gabriel said

“That’s right, Kynotoishi. Kynoto has his gained his angelic powers back, and you know what that means.” Gabriel said triumphantly again. Kynotoishi was quivering in the wake of Kynoto’s power, which was now immeasurable by normal standards. Kynoto was angry. Angry at himself for letting Knifes die, angry at Knifes for not having seen the attack coming, and especially angry at Kynotosihi for having killed Knifes. Kynoto was now staring Kynotoishi down. A grin split Kynoto’s face as he saw Kynotoishi give a small jump of surprise when a rock flew off the ground in front of him. Unlike the rest of the rocks that had begun to levitate because of Kynoto’s power, this one moved around Kynotoishi.

“Like my telepathy powers Kynotoishi?” Kynoto said grinning as the rock continued its orbit around Kynotoishi. Kynotoishi replied with a confused voice,

“Tele-what?”

“Telepathy, Kynotoishi. The power to move things with your thoughts.” Kynoto replied calmly. Now tired of just letting the rock spin around Kynotoishi, Kynoto now began to fiddle with it. The rock was now zooming around the area. “Now watch, Kynotoishi.” Kynoto said as he began to concentrate. After a few minutes Kynotoishis’ question was answered. Kynoto willed a boulder to go flying into Kynotoishi. Blood started to gush out of Kynotoishi’s ears and mouth. “Did you like that, Kynotoishi? Aw, don’t tell me your done already… the fun has just begun.” Kynoto said his grin now turning to laughter.

“Agh,” ushered Kynotoishi as he spat up a large amount of blood. He recovered quickly then replied, “You think you have me cornered? Well, your wrong. Its time you see my secret attack.” Kynotoishi stated, as he began a chant. “Time to die Kynoto. Black Dragon, hear my plea. Destroy this man before me. He is thine enemy and must be destroyed. I beg of you, give me the power to destroy this foe!” he chanted several times. Then the sky blackened, there were no clouds, as the sun was eclipsed by a gigantic dragon.

“Who asks this of me?” The Dragon said in a deep booming voice.

“I am the one who asks you to grant the power!” Kynotoishi shouted. Kynoto, Gabriel, Triasha, and Celestial were lost for words at the sight of this monstrous creature.

“You shall be given these powers you seek. You have passed my test. Now, receive your powers of the Dark Dragon!” The Dragon boomed, shaking mountains to the ground in the process. A beam of Dark Trianchu shot into Kynotoishi. Kynoto felt his powers and became unsure of what evil had befallen Kynotoishi. Kynotoishi then looked up at Kynoto and said in a sinister whisper,

“Hahaha, get ready Kynoto, I am coming for you,” The final showdown had begun and an epic battle was about to unfold. One between a man and his clone.

I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes....Or should I?
