So, book 5. This is the longest completed book of mine. it has 21 chapters +1 alt ending and really only 81 pages, the alt ending is 10 pages long. The reason for the alt ending was because this book originally was the last one i was going to make, but then i had a host of new ideas for a new book and i didnt want to just ignore them. So, i went about trying to create this next book, but the first wrench in my cogs was the ending of the fifth book, it was and ending fit for the end of the series, so i rewrote the last few paragraphs for a different open ended ending so that i could continue. This book starts off where we last left off, Kynoto and Kynotoishi's battle.... _________________________________ Chapter 1 The Stalemate The Rain was coming down in sheets, blown by the wind, onto Kynoto’s face as he stared at Kynotoishi, hatred was etched into every line of it. They did nothing but stare at each other for the longest time, then Kynoto drew his sword and held it in front of himself. When the raindrops hit the silver, shimmering blade they made a soft ping that resonated in the air. The raindrops rolled down the blades’ blood channel to the brown leather hilt where it was absorbed. There was a flash of lightning, a clap of thunder, and Kynotoishi decided that the time was ripe. He made to attack Kynoto, but faltered about halfway through. Kynoto showed no signs of life; he just stood there staring at Kynotoishi unblinkingly. Then, a bolt of lightning hit Kynoto’s sword and a shock wave emitted. It knocked Kynotoishi back several feet from Kynoto, who started to stir. Kynoto took the palm of his hand and placed it on the end of the hilt of his blade, which was now glowing with electricity. “Lightning Tornado,” Kynoto muttered under his breath as he began to spin. Kynoto was now spinning so fast that he was blurred and his sword was making a lethal hissing sound as it sliced through the air and rain. Kynoto began to move towards Kynotoishi who, fantasized by this attack, didn’t move. As Kynoto’s sword made contact with Kynotoishi, Kynoto stopped spinning. His sword was lodged into Kynotoishi’s arm and he could not remove it. Kynotoishi smiled his sinister smile that Kynoto had grown so accustomed to seeing and said in an equally sinister voice, “Ahh, now you know exactly what powers the Dragon of Darkness gave to me,” He pulled Kynoto’s sword out of his arm so that it cut it off, then gave the sword to Kynoto. He let out a sudden yell of pain as his bloody socket, where his arm had been, bled even more. What happened next made Kynoto sick. From the bloody stump sprang a new arm. He flexed it for awhile then said, “There, good as new.” Then, as he stared at his newly grown arm, he threw his sword into Kynoto’s chest hoping to pierce Kynoto’s heart and it looked like he had. Then Kynoto’s body began to glow white. The sword dislodged itself from his body. The wound, instead of bleeding even more, healed itself as the sword clattered to the ground. “Huh, but…how did you… how did you do that? Stammered Kynotoishi. “Ahh, you might have the power of Satan Kynotoishi, but I have the power of God on my side and since I have that power, I have regained all of my original powers. I can become a Shadow Angel again. That’s why I am as strong as you,” Kynoto said with a little smirk at the end. “H-how did you know I was going to ask t-that?” Kynotoishi stammered. “The mind is an easy thing to read once you know how to,” Kynoto said as his smirk changed into a smile. Kynotoishi looked on horrified to know that Kynoto could read his mind. Then they locked blades. Kynoto broke the blade lock and began to slash at Kynotoishi with all of his might. Blood and pieces of skin rained down upon the ground. Kynoto’s hand stained with the blood of Kynotoishi as the blood ran down the blood channel, staining the sword as it went, soaking into the hilt as it reached it. Then, out of exhaustion, they both fell to the ground. “It seems that we are equal in power, Kynotoishi. Therefore, the continuation of this battle is pointless, but you won’t let it be the end now, will you Kynotoishi and if that is the case then I will have to finish what Knifes started,” Kynoto said, raising his sword above high his head in a sweeping movement. He then leaped into the air, and with all his might, swung down toward Kynotoishi’s head. There was a deadly swish, followed by a loud thud that had issued from the ground near Kynotoishi. Another Thud was heard as Kynotoishi’s broken sword tip landed dangerously close to Kynoto’s foot. Their swords had been broken. Kynotoishi had lifted his sword just in time to deflect Kynoto’s and they had snapped due to the strain that Kynoto had put on them. With both of them too tired to use Trianchu and both of their swords broken the battle had stalemated. “Well, looks like you got what you wanted Kynoto, but mark my words, it isn’t over yet. The fates have told me things that not even you can fathom. Oh yes, the beginning has only just begun Kynoto, it has only just begun,” Kynotoishi cackled as he flew away leaving Kynoto deep in thought about what he had said. Kynoto decided that there were better times and places to ponder this and he went to help Triasha as well as to search for Knifes. |

Chapter 2 The Fates Kynoto rushed to where Triasha was laying, took some water from a puddle and threw it on him. Triasha awoke almost instantly, his silver hair dripping with water. Triasha wiped the water from his eyes, looked up at Kynoto and asked, “What happened? The last thing I remember was looking at the stor…ouch!” Triasha had noticed the bump on the back of his head, but only when it started to pulsate with pain. Kynoto told him of what happened to Knifes and that which Kynotoishi had just said to him. When he was done Triasha asked somewhat forcefully, “What did he mean by that?” “I don’t know, but whatever it is, it can’t be good. The Fates are evil beings that reside in a place near the entrance to Hell. They govern the souls of the living, determining who lives and who dies,” Kynoto said, a hint of resentment in is voice. Kynoto stared at the sky for a long while, trying to contemplate what Kynotoishi had meant, but he could not clear his mind enough to think clearly. Then, as he looked to the ground, he saw something glittering from beneath a rock. “What’s that?” He asked curiously. Triasha replied with the same curious tone, “It looks like the end of a sword hilt to me!” Triasha saw something that made his heart skip a beat. He rushed forward and heaved the rock over to the left of him, almost on top of Kynoto who replied angrily, “Why did you do that for?! You nearly flattened me!” Triasha paid no attention, however, for he was holding the sword blade and the sword hilt that had been found under the boulder. The blade had the words Chronos emblazed on one side. Kynoto, now having sensed the presence of the sword, had stopped gibbering and looked at it, then to the surrounding area. “You know Triasha, the more I think about it, we haven’t found any evidence that Knifes is still alive or dead, for all we know one of Kynotoishi’s attacks could have blasted him to another part of the world. But the more I think about what happened the more I get the feeling that Kynotoishi might have actually killed Knifes,” Kynoto said, the sadness in his voice made the air feel stale. Triasha said nothing and did nothing, but look down at it. A few hours later, Kynoto had fashioned out a grave for Knifes, took the sword from Triasha, and stuck it in the ground in front of the head stone which read: "Here lies Knifes, one of the greatest warriors known to date." They both turned and flew off to the nearest city, Veldrath, and stayed at the inn there. Kynoto, now having had the time and peace so that he could clear his mind, now began to think. ‘He was talking about the fates, but in order for him to have met them, he would to have had to die, but I know he didn’t, unless…’ He thought then asked Triasha, “Triasha, did you make more than one clone of me?” “Yes, I did. As they say, two is better then one, but I destroyed him because he was outside of my control,” Triasha replied in a sullen voice. 'Then that’s how; he has a telepathic connection to the other clone. What a marvelous piece of work Triasha did.’ “Ok, then it’s settled. I am going to seek out the fates and ask them what they told Kynotoishi,” Kynoto said so abruptly that it startled Triasha, who had a fearful look in his eye. “Seek out the fates!?! Are you crazy Kynoto!? Noting good can come of it Kynoto, you know that,” Triasha replied, his pale eyes widening in surprise, “You know what they do to people who wander into there realm. Do you really want to end up like them?” “No. Of course not, but I just don’t like the feeling that one of my enemies knows something I don’t. I view it as though he has some kind of leverage over me. If Knifes is alive I need to know. Kynotoishi could easily take control of him again if he is alive and we both would know what would happen then,” Kynoto said, a tone of finalization in his voice as he got up some food and water and left. Kynoto knew not where the Fates resided but he was sure he would not fail. Triasha was powerless to stop him for he had not a fact that could stand up to what Kynoto had just said. Triasha watched Kynoto travel out the door and into the morning mist. Triasha then replied to Kynoto’s statement, “Total annihilation.” Later that night, Kynoto had fashioned a campfire and a hollowed piece of metal to cook some fish that he had caught earlier. The fish sizzled, the fire snapped, but there was no other noise. Not a bird chirping, tree rustling, not even a cricket to be heard of. Something was not right, but Kynoto disregarded the deep foreboding that he felt in his heart. Once Kynoto finished his fish and put the fire out he went to sleep but he could not. The foreboding feeling would not let him, so there he lay, waiting, listening for something to happen, if anything would happen at all. He was just about to close his eyes when he heard a twig snap. He bolted to his feet, his hand on the hilt of his sword, to see that his attacker was not but a rabbit. “Haha, Kynoto, you old fool, getting apprehensive about a rabbit.” Kynoto said to himself. A sense of relief now flowed over him as he laid down to go to the sleep that was beckoning to him now. Kynoto had no other disturbances that night, but it was restless none the less. He had nightmares about Knifes. Knifes, who had been revived by Kynotoishi and The Fates, was now a being of evil. His powers were ten-fold of that which they were that faitful night that Knifes had lost control of his powers. He was torturing Triasha, torturing him into telling him where something was hidden, something that Knifes wanted badly. Kynoto awoke with a start. The rabbit from the night before had crawled on to his face and slept there, but it was now about three feet from where it had been as Kynoto had thrown it off. It sat there looking at Kynoto. It cocked its head a few times, then turned and hopped off into the woods. Kynoto could not explain it, but he felt something coming from the rabbit. Something, if it was even possible, evil. Kynoto got to his feet and looked around. The woods were still incredibly silent. Even in the early morning there should have been some birds out. The tress even seemed dead. ‘This forest was alive and noisy last summer. What might have happened to create this kind of change in it?’ Kynoto thought to himself. Kynoto then caught some breakfast and continued on his trek. He had not gone far when he sensed something odd. Then, right in front of him, 3 beautiful women appeared. They all looked almost exactly alike. Each had sandy orange hair that came to about waist length, pale green eyes. The one on the right was about as tall as Kynoto, who was six feet five inches tall, the middle one was around six feet two inches tall, the shortest of them, and the one on the left was about five feet nine inches, and they all looked about thirty nine to forty one years old. “Who are you?” Kynoto demanded to know. The woman on the right said in a high sweat voice, “Why, we are the Fates, everyone knows that.” “I was told that you three were all old and decrepit hags,” Kynoto shot back and her, less then irritated by being held up by these people when he had to find the Fates. The woman on the left replied in the same, if not exact voice as the one before, “Of course he wouldn’t know, he is Kynoto son of Gethra, so would have heard all those nasty rumors about us.” At hearing his name he jumped in surprise and said, “How…How do you know my name and my fathers name? I don’t believe we have ever met before.” “Like I said earlier, we are the Fates, we know all; past, present, and future,” The middle woman said, sounding slightly agitated. Kynoto paused. ‘Surly these aren’t the Fates…’, “But of course we are the Fates,” The left woman said before Kynoto finished his thought. ‘Ok, so they can read my mind. Then they must be the Fates.’ “That’s what we have been telling you Kynoto. So, you have sought us out to make meaning to what Kynotoishi said, have you? Well then, we don’t look into the future for fun, Kynoto, no. If you want to know what he meant, then you must do what he did to receive that knowledge. You must go to Valcarad Castle and steal a potion from the Count and bring it back to us. Then you will have the knowledge that you seek,” The three women said, taking turns talking, all the while talking in the same high sweat voice. “So, if I am victorious, you will tell me what you told Kynotoishi, but what if I should fail?" Kynoto asked hesitantly. “Why, you will forever be under the control of the Count. He is a vampire after all,” all three Fates said at the same time. It gave Kynoto the shivers. Kynoto turned to leave, then realized he did not know where this castle was. He turned back around to ask the Fates, but they had disappeared. |

Chapter 3 Valcarad Castle Kynoto had no notion of where he was to start. The Fates, he supposed, were testing him to see how brave he was and to what extent he would go to get what he desired. He came to an uncharted village called Kaledum later that noon. As he entered the village, some of the villagers threw him nasty, threatening looks that made him feel as if he were a demon trespassing on their land. He asked the locals where he might find Valcarad Castle, but the only answer he got in return was a harsh “Shhh!” and a nasty look. He decided that if he were to accomplish anything that day that he might as well visit the pub. He walked in and sat down at the bar. He felt the eyes of all the people in the room directed at once spot on his back. They had apparently heard that he was asking about the castle and were wondering when he would turn around to ask them. Then another person entered the pub and sat down next to Kynoto. He was an old, stooped man roughly the age of sixty-seven. Kynoto felt the eyes shift to the old man. The man turned to Kynoto and said, “So, yur the one whose lookin’ fer the castle eh? Well, I can help ya there. The name’s Lorder, Tashagi Lorder. I’ve been huntin’ that there vampire for a good twenty years now.” He motioned toward a picture on the wall. Underneath was a gold bar engraved, ‘Count Vladimir Costranela’, “Course, I haven’t been able to find the castle for over seven years now, but I know where its gonna be tonight, if ur interested that is?” Kynoto said nothing, he did not know that Lorder had been talking because he had been staring at the picture of Costranela, Kynoto thought that he kind of looked like Knifes; they had the same unpleasant eyes. Kynoto looked to Lorder, who was watching him closely, and said quickly, “Of course, I am interested, very interested. But I am curious as to how much this little adventure is going to cost me,|” Kynoto said, still mystified as he looked at the picture. He thought that the count kind of resembled Knifes. They had the same unpleasant eyes. “How much is this little adventure going to cost me?” Said Kynoto nervously. Lorder replied less then half-heartedly, “Ohhh, quite a bit I’d imagine, but you see that’s not how it works. Money isn’t good if your dead see. So I follow the strict rule of collecitn’ money after the job is over. But I fancy that it’ll cost ya no less then fourty thousand Kintaris. Might be a bit steep, but considering the situation it should be higher.” “I see. Well, the price is not a problem. Truthfully, I thought a fare price for this would have been eight hundred thousand Kintaris,” Lorder’s mouth fell open, “Now, down to business. Exactly who is this Count?” Kynoto asked curiously. Lorder shouted to the pub keeper, “Were gona need 6 more ales over here please, this is gona be a long story. Ok, now, Costranela, he is the cruelest of all the vampires. He recruits half human half vampire minions known as Psyclopires. They are superior to humans, yet half as strong as Vampires. They are usually human hunters, but some are Vampire hunters. Such a man did exist. He was called Xoboto. He was one of the greatest Vampire hunters that ever lived and ironically he came from the most noble of all Vampires, yes that’s right, Count Vladimir Dracula. Costranela is a blood descendant of Count Dracula. He is said to be over tewnty thousand years old, but I estimate that he is at least fifty thousand years old. He is one of the remaining 3 Original Counts. Now, his castle is also a thing to be feared. There are all sorts of creatures and demons lurking in it. It is also the only known producer of the Lilac Potion. It is not known how, but the evil in this castle produces a miraculous potion. It keeps the drinker looking as though they were only about 30 years old. It is said that the Fates are in constant need of this potion and send wanderers to their dooms to get it for false information about the future. Now, if we really are going to do this, you will have to serve the Count for a few weeks and gain his trust. Then kill him and take the potion. The only person to have gotten the potion with out getting killed or having to kill the Count was a man by the name of Kynotoishi. Matter a fact; he looked a lot like you.” At hearing all of this, Kynoto finally understood what the Fates were doing, but he was going to play their game for now. He knew that if you kill a Vampire that its power will become yours. They got all the things that they needed and set off that very night. Triasha, now bored, had begun to fiddle around with Trianchu again. He was planning to make a Fusion Trianchu next. This would be very difficult because it would have to fuse the two people yet be able to split them apart again. He worked on it for four days straight, not eating, sleeping, or drinking. At last on the fifth day, he had perfected it. He had successfully fused a grasshopper and a toad. “Haha, finally complete is it, eh? Good. Very good. Now, I think I will have a little nap,” Triasha said insanely as he passed out from exhaustion. Triasha awoke the next morning to see that the grasshopper and the toad had split apart to their original form perfectly. Triasha was happy. He went outside to use his new form of Trianchu on everything. Kynoto and Lorder awoke to see that they had been visited by the Count during the night. The Count stood on top of a very tall rock, directly in the sunlight. “Ahhhh. The sun feels good this morning. Oh. I see that you are awake, allow me to introduce myself. I am Count Vladimir Murdock Costranela. Now who might you be, trespassers on my land eh?” The Count said sinisterly. Kynoto replied hastily, “I am Kynoto Haikashi, a ninja gone warrior, and this is my friend Porder, Lon Porder.” The Counts eyes widened in astonishment as he said, “So, you’re Kynoto. I have heard a great deal about you, and of your clone, Kynotoishi, and of your student, what was his name….ah yes, Knifes. But I am afraid that you will not live long enough to even scratch me,” he said as his face tightened, then he shouted, “Delnia, Felonio, Gromir, Galamgrithal get out here!” as he said this, four Psyclopires entered the clearing. They all looked the same, with tight, wrinkled skin that had holes in it, rotting teeth, bloodshot eyes with red pupils. They were armed with different things though. It looked as though Delnia and Galamgrithal were spell casters as they were armed with staffs. Gromir had light clothing and very little armor, but he did have four very deadly looking kitanas strapped to his back, indicating that he was a ninja. Now, the biggest one, Felonio, was truthfully fearsome. He had two very large swords, Kynoto guessed that they weighed hundred pounds each and were about ten feet in length, that glinted in the sun. He also had on very thick and heavy plated armor, this would mean that he was a slow, but very strong, warrior. “Felonio, take your training weights off,” The Count issued to the warrior. Kynoto saw the gigantic Psyclopire take wraps with weight pouches in them off of his arms and ankles. As they hit the ground they left five feet by forty inch holes in the ground. Felonio jumped from tree to tree in the clearing with blazing speed. Kynoto was absolutely stunned. Lorder had not been lying when he said that the Psyclopires were very strong. Kynoto could see the Castle from the clearing, the eyes of the sculpted head on top glowing. It was a fearsome thing, just as Lorder had said. Come to think of it, everything that Lorder had said had been proved. Then Kynoto realized it, Lorder was a Familiar, a human who had sold himself to the Vampires. |

Chapter 4 Return of the Jitsu Ninja Kynoto, now cornered from every angle, was beginning to get worried. Felonio was stronger and faster then Kynoto was. Then Kynoto felt something slam into his back. Gromir had sprung into a tree behind Kynoto when he wasn’t looking and had now slammed two very hard sword hilts into his back. Kynoto fell forward, coughing up blood. Kynoto got back on his feet to be, again, knocked down by a heavy sword. He coughed up even more blood than before. He rose to his feet slowly, stumbling a little. Gromir, now enraged that Kynoto wouldn’t die, used a deadly technique; Hana no jitsu. The ninja soared around Kynoto, all four swords slashing at him, cutting almost every part of his body. Kynoto fell in a heap to the ground. “Now that wasn’t too hard hehehehe!” Gromir cackled in a high scratchy voice. Kynoto was now lying in a pool of his blood, but he was not dead. ‘What are these things? They are worse than anything I have seen thus far,’ Kynoto thought. Then something clicked inside of Kynoto as he heard Felonio’s swords coming at him. Kynoto stopped the two swords with his hands and broke them. Then he shouted, “Kohomina bakura no jitsu!” as he formed three seals with his hands; a fire, then water, and lastly air. Kynoto split into four separate beings. This was known as the cloning Jitsu, yet Kynoto had modified it into a fire, water, air clone move, which is a very formidable combination. “Ahh, what’s this? The little rat knows Jitsu huh? Well, let’s give him a lesson on how it’s really used, hehehe!” Gromir cackled again as he shouted; “Hisnata bakura no jitsu!” 10 Gromirs' appeared from out of the air and attacked the Kynoto’s. Kynoto's clones were one with him so they followed his movements, unlike Gormirs', who moved of their own free will. The Kynoto’s formed six seals; earth, fire, water, wind, destruction, power. The gromirs' were blown away from the force of the spell. Felonio stepped in and destroyed the clones. Kynoto withdrew his sword and said, “Ganatia no jitsu,” and formed the seals of fire, earth, water, and wind. His sword split into four other swords, each a different element. As Felonio swung downward, Kynoto blocked with all five swords, the elemental ones were spinning around the original, and blocked Felonio’s arms and, in fact, cutting them off. He made one swipe and Felonio fell over backwards. “Hmm, it appears that I have underestimated you Kynoto,” The Count said, “How about serving me. You would be the highest-ranking Psyclopire that I have. You could be great..” Kynoto interrupted him, “I want to be a full Vampire. Do that and I’ll serve you." The Count looked shocked then said in a cold voice, “As you wish Kynoto.” The Count bent down and bit Kynoto on the neck for a second then retracted and stammered, “My lord. You have even more power than I do. What a power. It is indescribable. Now you shall be a Vampire Kynoto.” “Master, do you think it wise? I mean, you just said that he had this tremendous power. What if he were to turn on you? He could destroy us all,” Galamgrithal stammered. The Count said in a soothing voice, “Not to worry my Son. He won’t harm me, if he does then he will die, since he now has the blood of Costranela in him. If I die, he dies.” The Count had a smile creeping on his face as he saw the dumbfounded look on Kynoto’s. “I also know why you are here Kynoto. You are here for the Lilac Potion. Now, instead of killing me, if you serve and serve me well, I will give you all the Lilac potion you want. So, do we have an accord?” The Count asked, staring determinedly at Kynoto. “I believe we do….Master,” Kynoto replied slyly. The Count replied with a smile on his face, “Good good, now, please come to the castle. We must see exactly how strong you are.” They walked through the swamp and up the drawbridge to the castle. The castle itself was gigantic. A large mote encircled it. The water was moving on its own and Kynoto could not even begin to guess what was kept in it. “Kynoto, do your best to stay out of the mote please. It’s filled with Ondorin. They are little creatures that can kill anything in thirty seconds. They were very hard to find as well. They only eat raw flesh, so we feed them trespassers and animals,” The Count said, obviously proud of his ‘pets’. Kynoto saw many bones lying around the ground surrounding the mote. Most of them were human, but there were some horse and cow skeletons. The large golden oak doors of the castle opened up in front of them and the Count beckoned them inside. |

Chapter 5 The Abominator Kynoto was amazed that a vampire’s castle could look so marvelous. The walls were made of marble and gold. There were many tapestries of Count Vladimir Dracula, as well as of many of Costranela’s wives. They entered a hallway with portraits on each side. On one side, Kynoto saw all of the male members of the Costranela family, and the other side were the female Costranela’s. After Vladimir Costranela, there were no other portraits, yet there were more on the female side. The Count was indeed as old as the rumors were, perhaps even older. Kynoto judged from all the female portraits that Costranela was at least ninety thousand years old. “Master, are you the oldest of your Family?” Kynoto asked, looking at the portraits as they went. The Count replied rather sourly, “Yes, I am the eldest of the Costranela family. If it were not for me, we would be the Dracula’s, not the Costranela’s. I have out lived my great great great great great grandfather, Beldor Dracula and he lived for seventy thousand years. Now, here we are; the Room of Blood. This is the place were Richter Belmont killed our Sire, Count Dracula.” He opened the door and a burst of cold air rushed out chilling Kynoto to the bone. Inside the room blue flame candles were lit for the purpose of, as Kynoto already knew, keeping spirits at bay, trapping them in the area that they were in. Then a creature appeared and the Count said to Kynoto hastily, “Kynoto, here is where you prove your self. Defeat this monster and prove your strength and I’ll allow you to work for me. Just so you know, no one in this room, except for me has ever beaten the Abominator.” The Count closed the door behind him. Kynoto was now face to face with a creature of such evil that Kynoto thought it must be an extension of Hell itself. Its eyes, they glowed black with evil, its skin was all rotted and oozing pus, it smelled of the dead and reeked of death, it had hooked teeth and claws, and Kynoto could sense its power, that it was something to be respected. The candles blew out and all was dark. Then green flames appeared. These flames gave power to those who sought it and Kynoto defiantly needed more power, but the monster was also using those candles to become stronger. Its arms and legs began to pulse with power. Kynoto had to act fast. He pulled out a scroll, bit his thumb and put it to the scroll, allowing the blood to soak into it. Then he formed the seal of heaven while holding the scroll and said, “No kame hisatu baskasumo no jistsu!” Kynoto slammed the scroll onto the ground and the words from within it began to flow out the sides. The streams of words started to wrap around the monster and six Devine Angels appeared. Each of them took hold of the monster, then Kynoto said very quickly, “Blood for blood and life for life, no kagena no jitsu!” A bolt of lightning slammed into the monster and turned it to ash. Then something happened; the ashes started to glow and from them, a new monster sprouted. “What???!!” Kynoto moaned. The monster took a swing at Kynoto and sent Kynoto flying across the room. Kynoto felt as though the energy had been drained from him. The monster now stood over him. It lifted its foot and kicked Kynoto’s stomach. Kynoto flew into the air for about three seconds, and then hit the ground, blood dripping from his mouth, eyes, and nose. Kynoto stood up just as the creature punched him again. This time Kynoto got a full shot to the head. Kynoto felt his eardrums pop and blood trickling from his ears. “Damn, what manner of beast is this!” He shouted as blood rushed out of his open mouth. The creature replied, startling Kynoto, “I am an Abominator, an eater of souls. This old castle is full of souls, thus you can never beat me. Why, you can’t even scratch me, wahahahahaha…. what?!” Kynoto had punched the beast in the gut, which was now spewing souls all over the room. “Now I see how you reformed. You used a soul to revive yourself. Now that they are leaving you, you won’t be so tough,” Kynoto said confidently. “Haha, he’s got him!” The Count said joyously. “Kenina herana lobena verna oshara yonata no jistu!” Kynoto said as he formed the seals of heaven, earth, fire, speed, and death. “Nooooooo!!!! Yo.. You can’t know that! Only the Shape-shifter Jitsu ninja knows that, and he is a part of me!” The monster roared. “That may be, but you haven’t heard of me before, and that is because I have been asleep inside of this man for thirteen thousand years. I am Kynotoenshi, the copycat,” Kynotoenshi shouted, a malicious stare in his eyes. “Ahhhhh, how could this be real?! Its unbelievable, this power, its huge. But that means! No, I won’t let yo..” The abominator was silenced. An angel of death had appeared and cut off the monsters head, then another angel appeared and vaporized the remains of the monster. The final angel, an earth angel, sucked up all the souls with great haste, then disappeared. The Abominator now had no souls to gather energy from to reform itself. It was dead. The Count was stunned. He had never dreamed that anyone alive had this much power. It was at least four times bigger than his. “N-nice, very nice K-kynoto or K-Kynotoenshi, well which ever one you are, nice job,” The Count stammered shocked at what he had just seen. “I assure you, I am Kynoto now, and will be from now on. When Kynotoenshi took over, I gained all of his knowledge and powers. So I can use his powers while remaining Kynoto now. This is very interesting though. Three souls trapped in one body; Kynotoishi, this Kynotoenshi fellow, and me. The Hero of Light was made of three people, heh, no wonder he was the second strongest fighter, but now, the hero has been undone and the souls released or absorbed. This new power I feel, has not yet reached its full potential and I hope it does during my service to you My Liege.” Kynoto said as he bowed deeply. The Count looked pleased. He muttered something and a golden ninja sword appeared out of thin air. Then he stated clearly, “This..this shall be your weapon Kynoto. It is one of the finest blades ever crafted. It bears the name ‘The Golden Killer’ for a reason. It has, at the hands of Count Dracula’s ninja nephew, Gromir, devoured at least fifty thousand souls. It is stronger then you can imagine, but you night be able to bring out that power Kynoto.” He handed the brilliantly jewel encrusted sword to Kynoto, who inspected the blade. It was much like a Shigathian blade. It was almost perfectly balanced in every aspect, it had a blood channel that he saw went straight into the hilt, which he examined next. What he saw next startled him. He saw that the hilt was made of clear glass and that it was a container of some sort. It was filled with blood, making an impressive clash of red against gold. “Ahh, now you see its true purpose. It is also called ‘The Blood Taker’ from the fact that it takes a drop of blood from its victims and stores it for emergencies or for long journeys. It is a true vampire sword,” The Count said mystically as he saw Kynoto looking at it curiously. “This is a fine blade. It’s even better then my Shigathian Sword,” Kynoto said truthfully. There was a shocked science then Galamgrithal asked carefully, “You have a Shigathian Sword? Aren’t those just a myth?” “Ahh, and I thought yourselves just to be a myth as well, but you’re as real as I am. Here, see for yourself,” Kynoto said as he drew out his blade and tossed it to Galamgrithal. “Absolutely amazing. Just as they are said to be. Almost perfectly balanced." |

Chapter 6 Kynoto's First Mission Day had broken as Kynoto awoke from his silent slumber to find a man looking at him from his bedroom door. “I see that you have awaken, Master Kynoto. The Sire has sent for you. Please, follow me,” The man said. Kynoto was lead down the Family Hall and through a giant, golden, glass door, where the Count sat on his throne like chair at the top of a staircase at the very back of the room. The room itself was arrayed with gold and silver weapons of all sizes and shapes. A particularly interesting one was a gold Shigathian blade, though it was made to look like it was not one, it also had several chips in the blade. The count shifted himself and said, “Ah, I see you have found your grandfather’s sword.” Kynoto stopped in his tracks and turned to face the Count, who had just reappeared beside him. “Yes Kynoto, you think correctly. Your grandfather was one of my most astute minions and I am sure that you will as well. Now on to why I summoned you. We have found a client. He has a very dangerous Count trying to kill him. Perhaps you have heard the name Count Galagil before?" “Yes, I have,” Kynoto replied quickly, “he is one of the most eldest and powerful of the remaining vampires.” “Quite right, Kynoto. Not only that, but he is after all of the power and wealth of the Elder Vampires. Our client wants us to rid him of this problem, so I was obliged to accept. I told him I would put my newest rookie and strongest Psyclopires on it. Now Kynoto, you must know that this Count has enhanced Psyclopires. They will be formidable, that’s why I have chosen you for this. Rona, Felto, come here. You will accompany Kynoto to make sure he doesn’t destroy any of our villages accidentally while he is dealing with the enemy. Kynoto, take both of those swords with you,” the Count said as he gestured toward the Blood Taker and Kynoto’s grandfathers’ blade. “You will need those, trust me. The blood in the Blood Taker will sustain you for a month and you might be able to smith a new sword out of yours and your grandfathers Shigathian blades. Just don’t disappoint me Kynoto. This client is paying us handsomely for this job. Your cut of it will be fairly large. Go now, and may the grace of our Sires be with you.” The group of three had left the castle by noon the next day. Their destination was the Castle of Blood; a crimson castle with a bloody history. It was there that many humans were slaughtered, as if they were cattle, to feed their Count. Some fifteen thousand people were estimated to have died there and this more than bothered Kynoto. But Kynoto was thinking too far ahead. They first had to cross the aptly named Forest of the Damned, where the trees were said to be made of bones and the water of blood. It was said to be the darkest forest as well. The evil that Kynoto sensed was overwhelming. All of the fear and the hatred that the spirits in the forest created was inconceivably powerful. Rona; a beautiful Psyclopire who, like Galamgrithal, used magic, shivered as they entered the forest. Her robes of red and blue satin were barely visible through the darkness. She looked around then said, her voice shivering, “My God, the evil in here, I…its mind boggling. It feels as though my soul is being antagonized by all that have died in here.” Felto turned around and said harshly, “Idiot! Never mention ‘his’ name again. Saying ‘his’ name could spell death for you. It goes against our ways. It has put a sin on your soul that can’t be undone. But, nevertheless, you’re right. This place is much too evil. Let’s get moving. I don’t want to spend anymore time in here then is necessary.” “I agree with you Felto. Let’s get moving. It grows dark, and who knows what evils come out during the night in this dreadful forest," Kynoto said, growing restless. They traveled by day and night, only sleeping for four hours at a time and only stopping to eat. They were about five days into the forest when something happened that would change the course of this mission they were on. Felto discovered an ancient building that had many a vampire corpse in its many tombs. “A vampire hunter city. Who would have thought?” Kynoto said wondrously. “Not just a vampire hunter city, it’s the vampire hunter city. We’ve found Kilrash, the city of the vampire hunters. No wonder this forest is so evil. It’s infested with the souls of the vampires, all twelve thousand of them who were killed in these very halls. Let us leave this place. It is hollowed ground,” Felto said as he began to feel pain in his feet. Kynoto shouldered a white and gold sword as they left. He did not know why he picked it up, but he did know that it would be needed later, for some reason. The forest grew denser as the trudged onward, deeper and deeper into the mesh of trees and shrubs. They saw many things, from giant aphids to the zombies that roamed the forest. Even darker things awaited them at the other side though, and Kynoto was not sure that they were ready for them. The forest was now starting to thin out. They had no serious problems, but they did run into a dragon, but thankfully it was asleep. When they walked out of the forest, it was as if a huge weight was lifted off their shoulders. Then, glinting off in the sunset, they saw a blood red castle. Kynoto turned back to his companions and said hopefully, “Well, there’s no turning back now. Let’s hope for an easy victory.” The two others nodded and started forward toward the castles drawbridge when Kynoto flung his arms out over their chests to stop them. “They are coming,” He ushered as a wind started to blow. Then, out of thin air, appeared no less then twenty Psyclopires appeared, as the sun set. The one in the front of the rest asked in a crackling voice, “Who in the name of Vannan are you and what is your business here?” Kynoto inched forward slightly and said in a rather hostile voice, “We are servants of Count Costranela. We are here to see your Sire.” “We don’t take kindly to strangers and what’s more, we understand that you were hired to kill our Lord. Ironic isn’t it though, the Lord you all hold so dearly was the one who told us of your coming, hahahahahaha,” The Psyclopire said as he cackled evilly. “WHAT!? NEVER! The Lord would never betray us would he Felto?” Rona asked nervously. Felto replied half-heartedly, “It looks like he has. He bares the crest.” He pointed to the Psyclopire's chest and sure enough, Costranela’s crest was there. Kynoto was overcome with rage. He shouted at the others, “You two, get back! This won’t be pretty and I still need the both of you, so just stay out of this no matter what becomes of me!” The two Psyclopires nodded submissively and rushed back to the edge of the forest. Kynoto drew the Blood taker and merged it with the two Shigathian blades. The resulting weapon had all the looks and abilities of the blood taker but it all so had all of the properties of the Shigathian blades. Kynoto’s attitude changed and Rona and Felto realized that they were not seeing the normal Kynoto, but rather, Kynoto infused with Kynotoenshis’ personality. Kynoto was now holding his sword vertical to himself. His eyes were closed, but the group of Psyclopires could feel his blazing eyes upon them. Then the wind began to blow harder, Kynoto’s now long black hair shrouded him completely. The wind died down suddenly and it took Kynoto with it as it went. He reappeared behind the group, and began to kill them. He had fallen all but the leader. He came down on the Psyclopire quickly and over took him with ease. “W-wait, I can help you get back into the castle,” The creature pleaded to Kynoto, as he felt the blade at his throat, to spare his life. Kynoto withdrew his blade then said coldly, “I don’t need your help.” The sword Kynoto was holding passed smoothly through the Psyclopire’s neck, staining the grass with blood as it reached the end of its journey. Kynoto turned to his two comrades and said disdainfully, “I think its time we paid our ‘master’ a visit.” Rona and Felto nodded. “Ok, here is how its going to go. I want the both of you to cover me, keep the other Psyclopires off my back, while I got after Costranela. You got that?” Kynoto asked, his voice sounding harsh. “Yes, we understand,” Felto paused then said, “my liege.” Kynoto, Rona, and Felto set off back to the castle. As the sunset behind the, Kynoto was, or so it looked, irradiating a red aura, as the sun was reflecting the crimson from the castle. It made for an impressive scene; Kynoto, strong, angry, and brave and the castle; tall and foreboding with the sun setting behind them both, as if it was trying to tell them that something was about to happen. |

Chapter 7 Army of the Dead Costranela sat on his throne, looking out of a window as the sun set. He was contemplating on what Kynoto would do when he found out that had been betrayed. Just in case, he had the guard around the castle tripled. The sun had now set and his servants had brought him dinner. He had told the sentries that he had posted to send one unit up to his chamber to report to him. When only three of the twenty posted teams reported back, Costranela got worried. The courtyard of the castle was as if a vat of black blood had been overturned in it. This was all a by-product of Kynoto’s rage. The first five Psyclopires had charged the group of three and were immediately kill by Kynoto. Another four groups, who had seen this happen, rushed to the bloodbath, only to be sliced into pieces. Rona and Felto were absolutely stunned at Kynotos’ skill with a sword. Then Costranela himself immerged from the castle, to see what all the commotion was about. “I expected nothing less from you Kynoto,” He said as he looked out upon the carnage, “but, you wont win against me, and I will show you what I say is true.” Kynoto stepped out of the shadows and said to the Vampire, “You may well be the oldest and strongest Vampire, but I will kill you, no matter the costs.” “Hahaha, well then, come and kill me Kynoto, but first you will have to deal with these.” Costranela said, as he smirked. He then chanted out a spell, “Those who are dead. Those who are dying, and those who are not but corpses. Arise, arise and aid your master!” The ground started to shake as skeletons and zombies began to rise from the ground. The Psyclopires that Kynoto had just killed also came back to life. Kynoto was now faced with about seven score of dead. Moreover, to get to Costranela, he had to go through all of them. Kynoto was in for a fun time indeed. “Show me your power, Kynoto!” Shouted Costranela from behind the army. “Alright, heh, this will be fun. I will finally get to use my more stronger techniques. Dark Mist Replication!” Kynoto shouted as a dark mist shrouded him. When it cleared, Costranela saw five more Kynotos’ had appeared. They were each identical. They had the same weapons and the same smirk. The six Kynotos’ took off at lightning speed, into the hordes of carrion, clearing paths to get to Costranela. There was a flash as the real Kynoto appeared over the army. He had many weapons sticking into him; still, most of them had gone all the way through his body. He was bleeding badly, but that didn’t seem to matter to Kynoto. “Elemental attack, Summner Dragon no tijitsu!” he shouted, as he formed three seals; fire, dragon, and angel. Then, as if it were day, the sky lit up. A giant dragon appeared and flew over the army. Tossing back its head, it let out a roar that shook the castle walls and then it started to breath fire out of its mouth and nose, burning the army into ashes. Once the dragon had finished its task it disappeared in a flash. “Interesting, very interesting. So, this is the true power of that Kynotoenshi fellow. Hmmm, this should be entertaining,” Costranela said as he walked up to the badly injured Kynoto. He drew his sword, the Dark Sword of Armonth. “So, let’s end this now, shall we,” As he said this, he impaled Kynoto onto his sword, and then flung him off into the mote. “Now, to dispose of the traitors,” Costranela said, moving towards Rona and Felto. “Funny, I was just about to say that,” Said a voice from behind Costranela. The vampire felt six cold blades pass threw his heart. He turned around to see the six Kynotos, the real one covered in moss and bleeding very badly from his wounds. Then Costranela let out a howl of agony as he was turned to dust. “Now that is over with, I need a favor of two,” Kynoto said, gesturing to Rona and Felto. “Please go get me all the Lilac potion you can carry. It has a special property. It can turn vampires who were once human, back into a human. I also need a bottle for personal reasons that I won’t tell you. Please, get them quickly.” They returned with seventeen bottles of the strange potion. Kynoto drank all but one bottle then said to the two, “Well, it looks as though our time together has come to a close. If you ever need anything, just ask a bird to find me and I will come. Goodbye,” Kynoto said as he left the castle to go and find the fates and to deliver the potion to them. He felt something strange about this whole thing though. “Why would the fates need Lilac potion?” he thought to himself. |

Chapter 8 Darkness Falls There was something else that was bothering Kynoto. The fact that the Fates knew who had this Lilac potion and the other fact that Costranela had betrayed him lead to a truth which Kynoto didn’t like at all. That truth, he would prove it true or false soon enough, was that the Fates had tried to set him up. Why they would do that, Kynoto did not know, but one thing was for certain, the Fates had made some kind of deal or pact with Kynotoishi. Kynoto held the Lilac potion up to his eyes and examined it. He then realized that it was not really a liquid, but a sort of mixture between a gas and a solid. He then stopped, still looking at the potion, remaining as silent as a mute. Then he said, “Why are you looking for this potion?” One of the Fates dropped out of a tree to his left, apparently surprised that Kynoto had sensed her. “If you must know, there is a fourth fate. She is dieing and that potion is the only way to save her. Yes, the potion has more attributes then you think Kynoto,” she said as she read Kynoto’s mind. “It can restore life, as long a sliver of it still remains in the body. Stay here while I go get the others. Then you will receive your just rewards,” As she said this, she left with a smirk on her face an that got Kynoto worried. He hadn’t taken his hand off his sword hilt since he left Costranelas’ castle and for good reason. He knew that something like this was going to happen, but he had not foreseen the power of the Fourth. Soon, the remaining two came, the third followed. Then as one spoke, they all began to speak simultaneously again, “You have done well. Please give us the potion, then we will return with the Fourth and show you the future.” Kynoto handed the potion over reluctantly. “Thank you Kynoto, we shall return shortly.” Kynoto wanted to be ready for anything, so while he waited, he molded his power up. He had been waiting a good three hours now and he was starting to get antsy. He took out his sword and began to train on some nearby trees. He had almost cut a tree down when he felt a horrific power coming his way. Then, the Fates appeared behind Kynoto. He turned his head around to look at them, then he said firmly, “Knew you were up to something, just didn’t know what it was that you were up to till Costranela tried to kill me. You threatened to kill his daughter, didn’t you?” The Fates looked stunned that Kynoto knew about there little plot, and they guessed that Kynoto had guessed that Kynotoishi was involved somehow. Kynoto now turned his attention to the power. It was so riveted with evil that it started to darken the forest around it as it came closer. Then Kynoto realized it, this power was of the Fourth. Just as this thought crossed his mind, it was confirmed. He saw the wretched creature walk over the last hill. Its power was far greater then Kynoto had thought. The Fourth Fate, in contrast to the other Fates, was as he was told; old, decrepit, and in a state of decay. It came closer and closer, trailed by death. The Fourth finally stopped and looked up at Kynoto. Kynoto came into eye contact with it, and he noticed it. This Fate was a single entity, it had no bonds with the others and that meant that it had more power then the other three, its power was not shared with the other Fates. “This is going to get rough,” He said as he formed six seals; power, life, heaven, earth, dragon, light. This unleashed a spell that encompassed Kynoto, giving him twice as much strength and stamina. He only used this technique when he was going to perform high level Trianchu and Jitsu. He was prepared for anything now, except what he was now faced with, ironicaly. The Fourth was now standing about five feet away from Kynoto, when it spoke, its voice harsh and raspy, “So, you are the one who saved my life? I will reward you…..with your death. Death Nile attack!” This caught Kynoto completely off guard. This attack, he knew it well. It was designed to steal your opponent’s power by trapping him or her in a red sludge like substance. He barely dodged it. “Physical attack, Power of Twenty Thousand Punches!” He said this as he formed the seals of speed and power. He was moving so fast that the Fates could not keep up with him. After having run around the clearing, trying to get the Fourth confused, he stopped directly behind it. His fist glowed with enormous power as it sunk into the back of the Fourths’ skull. The Fourth went flying forward, skidding on the ground. It didn’t move. The other Fates stared at the Fourth, then stared at Kynoto, in complete awe. Then the tall Fate said, “Sun Blaze Attack.” Kynoto dodged it easily, then he felt a sharp pain in his side. The other two had mimicked the attack and had caught Kynoto off guard. Pain shot up his side and back, the wounds worsening with every second that went by. This attack was designed to immobilize the target, then make the wounds worse, like a strong poison. All of that eventually lead to the death of the victim, but Kynoto could heal it with his white Trianchu if he finished off the Fates fast enough. “I might not last much longer. I guess its now or never,” Kynoto thought to himself, shielding his thoughts from the Fates. “Elemental attack, Angelic Dragon of Darkness ti no jitsu!” Kynoto bellowed. Everything went black then, out of the darkness, came a light. It was Kynoto, but he had tapped into what was left of his angelic powers. He then formed the seals of heaven, angel, shadow, earth, fire, water, thunder, wind, mist, dragon, and finally Hell. This was one of the most dangerous techniques that Kynotoenshi had learned and if Kynoto messed up in even the slightest way, it would mean death for him and all around him in a five hundred mile radius. This technique used an enormous amount of power, as it was a combination of most of the elements plus dragon and Hell. Then, a rift opened right beside Kynoto and a horrific dragon flew out of it. It was the skeleton of a dragon, but it had eight hearts, one for each seal except dragon and Hell. All of the hearts started to glow brightly, and the dragon roared, “Who do you wish to annihilate?” Kynoto replied loudly to ensure that there were no mistakes, “I wish to destroy the four Fates.” The dragon roared a reply that shook the ground, “Your wish shall be granted.” Then the dragon opened its mouth and a multi-colored beam shot out of it. The beam soared threw the air, landing on the Fates, who let out screams of anguish and pain. They had been melted together. Then an angel of Hell appeared over the four Fates and said in a cold and malicious voice that echoed off of the trees, “This will be the end for you. My lord is eagerly awaiting your coming, hahahahaha. Banishing Hell!” The ground opened up and a part of Hell rose to earth and engulfed the Fates. It pulled them under and then the ground sealed back up. The angel vanished and the dragon flew back into the rift, which disappeared with a bright flash. The wounds that Kynoto bore vanished, apparently the attack was only in effect as long as the person who it was cast upon was alive or as long as the user was still alive. Kynoto now turned to the dead forest. “This is terrible. I must try to ease its pain. Elemental power, Nature’s Healing,” Kynoto whispered. Then, the sky turned white and the forest started to come back to life. The tress, plants, grass, animals came back as they were before, as though nothing had happened. Kynoto marveled over this new found power. It might come in handy later on, he decided. Then he heard a grunt and turned around. The Fourth's head had not been consumed and was still alive, but only barely. “Kynoto, what you have dreamed and feared, they are…..they are what lies in your future. Beware, Kynoto, Knifes will not be….be easily stopped, and Kynotoishi will have a surprise for you.” It said with its last breath as Kynoto ran it through with his sword, killing it instantly. He turned away from it and started back to see Triasha and to tell him of the events that had taken place. |

Chapter 9 Splitting of the Psyches Part One: An Old Power Revived Kynoto had been traveling for three days now. He had pondered on what the Fourth had said before it died, wondering if it could be true. He was now stopping to take a break and to catch some food when he sensed something. It was very far off, but it felt as if Kynoto was right next to it. Kynoto then realized that it was actually two enormous powers. One of them was Triasha, the other was masked somehow. Kynoto ate hastily and set off for the home that Triasha had built many a year ago. He was now blocked by a force field, but Kynoto saw something that chilled his blood. Triasha was standing in a clearing, his sword drawn and pointing at a small, but well built, figure. A boy with pale blue eyes and snow white hair that fell about shoulder length. Kynoto stared in awe for that boy was Knifes. All Kynoto could do was stand there and watch the carnage that was about to ensue. “Knifes, why are you doing this?!” Triasha’s voice rang out, a hint of fear in it. “Why? Why?! You want to know why?! Alright I’ll tell you why! Everyday that I trained with you, Rouin, and Kynoto I got stronger. Soon I became as strong as Kynoto. Then you had the audacity to let Kynotoishi find me. Since then, I have been learning that hate is the ultimate power. I will prove it to you, right here and right now,” Knifes uttered as he focused his power into his fists. Triasha, having not had a need to fight in a very long while, powered up as far as his body would let him. Triasha knew that he had no hope of winning the battle that was about to take place, yet he stood firm and did not waver as he stared into Knifes, now evil, eyes. Kynoto was about to say something when he felt Knifes’ power flare up. He knew that Knifes was going to kill Triasha, but he didn’t know how bloody this battle would become or how much life would be lost in the process. Knifes looked at Triasha then muttered, “Power of darkness come to thee, let me use you, let me bind with you.” His eyes turned black and his power soared. Knifes now attacked Trisha, who was not expecting it. Knifes now drew his sword, not the one of Chronos but one of an insanely great evil. The sword slid through Triasha as if he were wet paper, nearly pierceing his heart. “Heh, not so tuff with out Kynoto aren’t we, eh? ‘Tis a pity that Kynoto has to watch you die like the weakling that you really are. Yes, that’s right Triasha, Kynoto is right over there. If it weren’t for my force field he’d probably be helping you, but I have other plans for him,” Knifes muttered as he chuckled evilly. Knifes had failed to notice that Triasha was no longer in the spot where he had fallen, but up in a nearby tree. Triasha has left a clone in his place to divert Knifes attention. He took careful aim then shot like an arrow from the tree, holding his sword out in front of himself, aimed directly at Knifes neck. The sword point touched Knifes’s neck and shattered. “Bu…but how?” stammered Triasha in confusion. Knifes replied, his voice tainted with glee, “Hahaha, you see, nothing can hurt me. Now watch as I blow you away with my energy.” Knifes powered up further till his power started to emminate from his body. Once he had ripped a tree from the ground, he focused on Triasha, who sustained the full blast. He was a little winded, but that was it. Triasha ran at Knifes with angry eyes. Knifes had a very simple, yet effective, method to stop this kind of attack. He released a good portion of his powers into an explosion. It engulfed Triasha, and everything with in a five mile radius. Kynoto had left, sensing that this would happen. This, to the great disappointment of Knifes, didn’t kill Triasha. Triasha had a lot of stamina, and he also had the power to back it up. “Dureamas Hesful Telefit!” Triasha boomed. This attack was a basic suicide attack, but it was extremely powerful, and hard to dodge, yet Knifes let the attack slide pass him with ease. Triasha didn’t not die from it, however, since this was a very low level attack. He got up and turned around to see Knifes charging at him. With some fancy swordsmanship Triasha evaded the attack with only a gash in his right arm. Knifes, however, was not done yet. He caught Triasha completely off guard as he ripped upward with his sword, severing Triasha left hand. Triasha screamed in pain, howling into the deep crimson sky. Then he stopped, as if he had been silenced. His eyes began to glow. “Wha..what is this?” Triasha stammered as he felt a strange power flow throughout his body, “This is incredible. This power, its something I have never felt before. Ahh, I know what it is,” he said as his voice deepened, “Haha, my demonic powers have returned. Now, let’s even things out, shall we Knifes?” Knifes stood there in awe. This power, he had never seen it before, was too immense for Knifes to begin to comprehend it. “H-how did you get all that power?” Knifes asked feebly. Then he remembered what Kynoto had said long ago about Triasha and himself. That Triasha held in him a demon, a demon of great power; Shintriasha. Triasha’s voice deepened even more and his power went up by fifty thousand, which was already one hundred and twenty thousand higher then Knifes power. “Heheh, I have been revived once again. Now, the first person I have seen in over four hundred years, and instead of talking to him, I find that I have the desire to kill him. Interesting, a mere boy fighting Triasha as his equal, yet I do sense something strange about you young one. Never the less, I will kill you.” Shintriasha’s face was now endowed with anger. “Haha, try this on for size little one, Doom Blaze!” He yelled as his hands began to glow red. A ball formed around each one as he put them out in front of himself and pointed them at Knifes. The balls shot of his hands and buried themselves deep into the ground in front of Knifes. “Haha, you missed, you old foo…nooo!” Knifes yelled in a panic stricken voice. “Now you see my true power,” Shintriasha laughed as the ground under Knifes exploded into fire, burning, or so he thought, Knifes into powder. Once the fire had gone out, nothing was there. Then Shintriasha turned around to leave when Knifes punched him out of no where. Staggering backward, Shintriasha mumbled, “Wow, your something special kid. Not even Kynoto could have withstood that.” He had blood coming out of his mouth from the injury that Knifes had caused him. He spat a couple of times; spit, blood and a few teeth came out of his mouth. “Ha, well then boy, shall I start to use my more powerful attacks, or will you beat me in three punches?” Shintriasha said sarcastically. “That sounds like a good idea. Now, prepare yourself Shintriasha, you’re in for a ride,” Knifes said smirking as he prepared to use a very strong attack to weaken up Shintriasha. “Power of light combine with me, make me one with the darkness!” He shouted to the heavens. He began to glow with a white light. Since Shintriasha was apart of Triasha, he remembered that Knifes was already using the powers of darkness. This amazed him that a mere boy could use the powers of light and dark, something that seldom master fighters could do, at the same time. “W-wait a minute. How can you use Light and Darkness at the same time, your just a kid!” Shintriasha interjected. “Now, that was a long and hard road, but now is not the time for talk. I will tell you after I have beaten you. Here I come!” Knifes roared. He held out both of his fists. One was engulfed in darkness, while the other was surrounded by a white glow. “Oh, this is going to hurt,” Shintriasha murmured as Knifes’ hands came into contact with his body he felt his skin rip. A sudden pain erupted from his back. Something was wrong, something was not right. What would happen next would baffle even the wisest Lore Lords for years to come. |

Chapter 10 Kynoto's Battle After witnessing Knifes new power first hand, Kynoto deiced that it was time to pay Kynotoishi a visit. Kynoto had no idea where to begin searching for him tough. Just as he was about to start his search, a voice from behind him said, “Where are you going Kynoto, I’m right here.” Kynoto turned around to see Kynotoishi standing directly behind him. His power was incredible. Kynotoishi had a mad light sparkling in his eyes as he stared at Kynoto. “What did you do to Knifes, Kynotoishi?” Kynoto asked firmly. Kynotoishi laughed hysterically as he told Kynoto about Knifes, “Hahaha, you still haven’t figured it out?! That’s just too funny. I thought you, of all people, would recognize it first. What did I do you ask? Heh, why I just broke the seals on his power. All but the last that is, it was too heavily fortified, but with five out of six seals gone, he will be more then powerful enough to dispose of the trash he is fighting right now,” At hearing this bit of information, Kynoto drew his sword and said angrily, “You did what?!! Triasha is as good as dead then. For that, I blame you Kynotoishi and you will pay accordingly. The elemental attack I have chosen to use against you has been decided. The heat that melts all matter; Dragons’ fire, the coolness of a blizzard; subzero ice, and finally the darkness that envelops all; Deaths’ bliss. Elemental attack, Belgrogs’ Wrath!” Kynoto murmured as he formed the seals of dragons’ fire, deaths’ bliss, and subzero ice extremely fast. A roar issued from the sky as a juggernaut appeared and landed in front of Kynotoishi. It was armed with a gigantic sword made of tritanium, one of the strongest metals in the universe. It swung the sword at Kynotoishi, who dodged it with ease but was caught off guard by the swiftness of the juggernauts second attack. Sword collided with flesh as Kynotoishi’s left arm and leg were cut off. Kynotoishi fell backwards, blood spewing from his severed limbs. He started to concentrate. Once his power was high enough, he regenerated his leg so he could stand. He held his sword in his right hand then jumped into the air and with a mighty downward slash, he felled the Belgrog, yet the belgrog was not going down alone. As the sword cut through its skin, the creature thrust its sword into Kynotoishi’s heart, killing off his first sole instantly. The reason for Kynotoishi’s power was because he was comprised of five souls that he had aquired from his trip to Hell when Kynoto killed him. Once all five were gone he would truly be dead. Kynoto wasted no time, he jumped into the air with his swords’ tip pointed down and thrust it into Kynotoishi’s head, killing another spirit. Kynotoishi stood up and said, “Ahhh, it seems you have found out my little secret eh? Well then, its time I show my true self,” Kynotoishi broke down the barriers to his power. Kynotoishi was now at his ultimate state of power. Kynoto was going to have a hard time killing off the last three souls now. “Huh, well now, this is interesting. You weren’t half this powerful when I fought you before, but I have a surprise for you. Haha, since I only took half of the last lilac potion, which was enough to return me to a human, I still have me vampiric powers. Now watch as I call forth the monster inside of me. Succubus, come forth!” Kynoto said maniacally. Everything went dark and a shadow; a shadow darker then the darkest night, came into Kynotoishi’s view. It sprouted four eyes and grew, becoming apart of Kynoto. A mouth appeared and in it Kynotoishi saw many rows of sharp teeth curving backward into a dark abyss. Then it separated from Kynoto. If Kynotoishi had been able to see it clearly, it would have looked like a dog. The eyes rolled around till they fixed onto Kynotoishi, then it let out a howl that chilled his blood, and then the succubus charged at him, but he stood his ground, to afraid to move. The mouth of the beast latched onto Kynotoishi’s arm, ripping and tearing at it with its fearsome teeth. Kynotoishi let out a scream of pain as the succubus tore off his other arm. It then opened up its mouth and said, “Succubus final attack; Devourer!” It ran at Kynotoishi, its mouth open, trapping him inside. As Kynotoishi screamed, he was dissolved and absorbed into the succubus. The monster reattached its self to Kynoto, who in turn, absorbed it and Kynotoishi back into himself. “Ahh, what a wonderful thing to have inside me, a succubus is. It steals the energy of the enemy and gives it to me,” Kynoto said, power surging through his body as he absorbed Kynotoishi’s power. |

Chapter 11 Splitting of the Psyches Part Two: The Fall of Triasha Shintriasha was howling in pain as Knifes looked on, wondering what was happening. Suddenly Shintriasha’s back split open and Triasha fell out. This bizarre turn of events would prove almost fatal to Knifes. “Wha..what did you do?” Knifes stammered, apparently shaken by the ordeal he had just seen. “Ha, Triasha and I have separated, Knifes, and were coming for you,” Shintriasha said madly. Triasha was just as surprised as Knifes was; none the less, he drew his sword. Shintriasha and Triasha charged at Knifes. Knifes was outnumber two to one, but this mattered naught to Knifes, for his speed allowed him to block all of the sword fighting that they threw at him. “This one is fast, eh Triasha?” Shintriasha asked curiously. “He is much stronger then Kynoto, you, and me combined, but only when he loses control of his power ironically,” Triasha said with a smirk, for he knew that Knifes could not voluntarily lose control of his power. “What?! If what you say is true, then let’s end this now. I don’t care to see this other side of him. Variable attack number three then?” Shintriasha asked his counterpart. “Heh, yes, just the attack we need,” Triasha said as he and Shintriasha powered up. Then they said as one, “Variable attack number three; Rage of a Thousand Demons!!” Even though they said the same thing, the attack did different things for the other. While Shintriasha’s created a rift that allowed a thousand demons to enter into their realm, Triasha’s created an aura that amplified the power of the demons. Once all of the demons had become stronger from the aura, they flooded towards Knifes who could only stand there and pray that he would survive. But something happened that none there had expected. Knifes began to glow and a sphere of Trianchu expanded from him. As it hit the demons they were vaporized. Triasha and Shintriasha stared in disbelief. “How much power do you have left Triasha?” Shintriasha asked, his voice ringing with nervousness. “Not enough to use out Variable attacks again. I am almost out of Trianchu,” Triasha replied bearing the same tone as Shintriasha. “Heh, you’ve played right into my hands. Since you separated, you are both weaker then when you were one. This should be easy, Rain of Destruction!” Knifes shouted as the sky turned from dark black to blood red. Spikes of blood then began to fall from the sky onto Triasha and Shintriasha. The both of them were defenseless against this attack and were run through by about one hundred spikes each. This killed Shintriasha, but Triasha survived somehow. He lifted up a hand and pointed it at Knifes. Knifes knew exactly what he was going to do and ran to stop him from executing the attack. Triasha got the wind knocked out of him as Knifes punched him hard in the stomach. “So you know what I was going to do eh?” Triasha said breathlessly. “Heh, yes, I new it from when you used it against Kynotoishi. So, I know what it does,” Knifes said, smirking at Triasha’s impudence. He punched Triasha to the ground and then kicked him into a hill. Triasha coughed up some blood and stood up. “Again eh?” Knifes mumbled as he punched Triasha again. Triasha stood up again and again, but Knifes kept punching him every time he stood up. Triasha stood up again, but this time Knifes punched him very hard. Knifes actually hit Triasha so hard that the force of the punch went through Triasha and into the mountain behind him, splitting it in half. Triasha fell to his knees, blood flowing from his mouth and nose. He looked up and what he saw terrified him. Triasha had been recently married to a beautiful young woman who went by the name of Naomi. She was rather tall for a woman of her age, standing at six feet, she had pale blue eyes, fair and soft skin, and long, shimmering, blond hair that fell to her ankles. He had built a house nearby and had told her that he was going out to find some firewood for their fireplace. Since he had been gone an extremely long time, she had come looking for him. She saw him on the ground and tried to run to him, but Knifes stopped her. Like mist off of a lake, he disappeared then reappeared in front of Naomi. He smiled at her as he let his power drop. Then he hit her. She flew off her feet and landed on the ground about two feet away, not getting injured as Knifes had dropped his power substantially. Triasha, with newfound strength, ran over to his wife. “Naomi! What in the hell are you doing out here?! Hurry back to the house, you shouldn’t be here,” Triasha stammered. Naomi looked at Knifes and asked Triasha in a high sweet voice, “Is this that boy you spoke of Triasha? Is this Knifes?” “Yes, but he is different, very different, now,” Triasha explained to Naomi as he helped her off the ground. Knifes had taken this time, since Triasha was not looking, to go behind them and was planning on killing Naomi. He was nine inches away from her when Triasha came out of no where, sustaining the attack without flinching, his eyes and voice full of hatred, as he said, “You won’t lay a finger on her!” Triasha’s power roared upward as his hate of Knifes, the kind boy who was once his friend, increased. He punched Knifes in the gut, sending him flying backward a good twenty feet. Triasha was now faster then Knifes. He appeared behind Knifes, as he was skidding to a halt, and unleashed a salvo of energy attacks upon his back at close range. This did a lot of damage to Knifes. His back had deep cuts and gashes in it. Knifes made a mad dash for Naomi, who was left unguarded. “Oh no you don’t kid!” Triasha roared, as he sped past Knifes just in time to stop him. He grasped Knifes right fist and dug his fingers into it. “Know you won’t get away.” As Triasha said this, he held up his hand. A light began to swirl in his palm, expanding to the size of a beach ball. Triasha pulled his arm back, sending all the power he could muster into his arm as he said, “Finishing move, Trisanko!” As he said this, a wall of granite rose up from the ground behind Knifes. Triasha then forced all of his power through his arm and into the ball as it collided with Knifes stomach. “What is this?! No..this can’t be!” He said no more as he was thrown back against a wall, the ball still spinning into his stomach holding him in place. Triasha then pulled back his arm again, forced what was left of his power into it and thrusted it forward at the ball, which started to move forward. It forced Knifes through the wall, causing substantial damage to him, but it wasn’t enough and Triasha knew that. Knifes struggled to free himself of the ball but to no avail. Then Knifes dug his feet into the ground and forced, with all the energy that he could gather, the ball to slow down and eventually stop completely. He held the ball in his hand and then smirked as he yelled to Triasha, who was now about sixty feet away from him, “Ha, nice try old fool, but watch this. I am going to kill you and your lovely wife with your own attack, Hahahaha!” he laughed insanely as he increased the balls power by five hundred fold. This wasn’t boding well from Triasha or Naomi, but Triasha did what he had to. In the blink of an eye he vanished. Knives looked to his left to see Triasha standing there, his arms raised. Knifes looked at him with wide frightened eyes. His voice shook as he said, “Surly you aren’t going to use that? What would Naomi do?” “She would want me to do what I have to, Knifes, even if that means sacrificing myself.” Triasha said firmly as Knifes struggled to get away from Triasha. “Naomi, please leave now, get as far away as you can. I don’t think that we will be seeing each other for a long time. Seek out Kynoto, he will protect you,” Triasha said as a few tears rolled down his cheek as his wife screamed at him not to do what he was about to. “Naomi! This is the only way to save you and stop him. If I don’t do this now, he might destroy the earth. Please, just go!” Triasha said, his voice shaking with sadness, anger, and fear. Knifes looked back to see that Triasha was no longer there, but that he was in front of him. “Knifes, get ready to die!” Triasha yelled, “Oh powers of Trianchu, I give you my body to do with as you see fit, I only ask that you give me the power I seek! Lunatic Blast!!!” Triasha yelled at the top of his lungs. Naomi heard him and turned around. She was two miles away now, but the blinding flash could be seen by Kynoto, who was thirty miles away from Triasha. “What in the..?” Kynoto said to himself. At that exact moment, Naomi had fallen to hear knees, sobbing hysterically. She knew what Triasha had done. He had sacrificed himself to destroy Knifes. But things didn’t go as planed. Knifes had found enough time to make a very small barrier around himself. He didn’t receive the whole of the blast and there for was only injured severely. Naomi looked up to see Knifes staring down at her. She scrambled backward to get away from him shouting, “Get away from me you monster!” Knifes then stopped, not because of Naomi, no, but because something was coming; something powerful. Then out of the sky flew Kynoto. Knifes was completely stunned. Kynoto had gained so much power since they had last seen each other, which was a very short time of about four hours. “Naomi, get behind me,” Kynoto told his stepsister. “Kynoto, wha..what a pleasant surprise to find you here,” Knifes sputtered in shock of this new and improved Kynoto. Kynoto punched him lightly in the head, but it sent Knifes flying into the ground. “What did you do to Triasha, Knifes?” he demanded to know. Knifes answered, hate and betrayal ringing in his voice, “I didn’t do anything, he blew himself up.” “He had a reason for that. What did you do?” Kynoto asked, more insistent. This time Knifes didn’t answer for he started to run. Kynoto shot a ball of black Trianchu at him, but missed as Knifes vanished in thin air. He had teleported to a place far away from the murderous Kynoto. Later that night Naomi told Kynoto the whole story, what she witnessed anyway. Kynoto looked at her with fond eyes as he said, “So that’s what happened. Then don’t worried Naomi, since he sacrificed himself, I might be able to have him brought back. Good thing I kept my ties with Gabriel and the other angels, so don’t you fret. I will have him brought back as soon as I deal with Knifes. Kynotoishi some how turned Knifes evil and gave him unimaginable power. I had a scuffle with my clone and had to use the last of my powers from being a vampire, but in the end, I got back that energy from which Kynotoishi was sprung. I am now complete again, I am the Hero of Light again, finally. Naomi, don’t worry about me, just make sure that you stay in good health. I will have some friends of mine come to help you and protect you. They are going to owe me a lot after they contact me. Now, off to bed with you. I will stay tonight, but tomorrow I am leaving. I must find out more about these power gates that Kynotoishi has broken.” But Naomi was not listening, she had fallen asleep, her head leaning on Kynoto’s shoulder. He carried her to his bedroom and put her in his bed. He walked out into the living room, and sat on the couch thinking of all that had happened that day. He did not know that it was only the beginning. |

Chapter 12 The Hunt Begins The next day, Naomi had packed up a sack for Kynoto, since he was going on a long journey. She packed clean cloths, food, water, Kynoto’s sword, and a map into the sack. “Here you are Kynoto. It was the least I could do, since you saved me from that retched boy,” Naomi said, a little hatred ringing in her voice. “Now now, don’t go hating Knifes, he is still the same boy that I knew, at least deep inside he is. And I plan to break him free of this evils’ hold. Either that, or I’ll have to kill him, but that’s only a last resort. Goodbye for now, Naomi,” Kynoto said as he walked out of the door into the misty morning. Meanwhile, about three hundred miles away, Knifes and a mysterious person were in deep conversation. “Knifes, who was that man that came after you finished off Triasha?” the mysterious, cloaked man asked. “That……was Kynoto,” Knifes answered slowly, as if he was having a hard time remembering. The mysterious man shifted him self in to the light. Knifes was disgusted by what he saw. This mans face, on the left side, was burnt and shriveled. His only visible eye was a grey as a cloud and cold as ice, looking hollow and dead. He had little hair on his head, and his body had been severely mangled; arms twisted at irregular angles, his neck was rung as if his head had been twisted completely around, the only things not mangled were his legs. “Kynoto, eh? Well then, let’s start the game shall we?” The mysterious man said, an insane light glinting off of his grey eye. He smiled reveling rotting teeth and a severed tong. The man shifted towards the door, when Knifes stopped him. “What exactly do you have planed?” He asked curiously. The man did not reply, yet he did at the same time. There was a deer standing out side of Knifes house. Suddenly, the name ‘Kynoto’ appeared on it and the man snapped his fingers. The mist around Knifes' house surrounded the deer. Knifes woundered what was going on when he saw his answer as blood sloshed against the side of his house. As the mist cleared Knifes saw that the deer had been imploded. Knifes had gotten the message. He was going to kill Kynoto. “It won’t be that easy you know. He has friends in very high places, literally,” Knifes babbled. “I know, but I also have friends, but in very low places. Besides, he can’t get away from my Jitsu form, mist dragon, no one can…not even you,” He said after he saw the mutinous look on Knifes face. “I wanted to kill Kynoto, but have it your way. That way, if he kills you, he’ll be tired and I can take him out easily,” Knifes said in a calming voice. The man gave him one last insane glance before he disappeared into the mist. Knifes wondered if he was right in hiring this man. Kynoto had been searching for nearly four days now, having found a trail of Knifes blood on the ground that stopped some fifty miles from his house, but Kynoto didn’t know where Knifes lived, so he did not go in the right direction after the blood stopped. A voice from behind him caused him to turn so fast that he almost lost his balance. He looked around in the mist, but no one was there. Then that same voice, the one that he had heard only once in his life before today, the voice of Galathrong, the deadliest mercenary ever to grace the Earth, came again from behind him. This time he spun around in a full circle and caught Galathrong off guard. “So, it was you. I never have forgotten your voice, not after what you did.” “That’s right eh? I killed your parents, brothers and your sister, whom you loved so dearly, and all of your other relatives. Then I destroyed what was left of your real home village, on Triasha’s orders of course. But given the chance, I would have done it again, even without Triasha’s orders. But then is not now, and now is not then, dust to dust ashes to ashes I always say, but then, you never did like the real meaning behind that saying did you Kynoto eh? No, you and Triasha were to busy fighting amongst yourselves to realize that the meaning of that saying was prophesizing the end of the world. Ashes to ashes, referring to all living things being burnt into ashes, dust to dust, referring to the disintegration of the Earth,” He said, that same old haunting insane glint in his misty eye. “So, you’ve figured it out finally have you? I figured it out some 10 years ago. Now, the person who is to this dusting and ashing is Knifes. I know it, and you know it. That’s why you made him hire you. So that you could escape this doomed rock. But know,” Kynoto roared as his power rose dramatically, “I will have to stop the pair of you. I will beat you, even if I am up against the famed mist dragon Jitsu. Elemental summon, Yanshiko!” The ground rose up and collapsed, then a golem appeared out of the abyss. It was made out of diamond, the fourth hardest rock of that day and age. “Ahhh, impressive, yet a little monotonous don’t you think, since I can just wash it away. Morning mist, Trinako!” he formed the seals of mist, water, and flood. The mist around them became thicker, denser. Then it rose up into the air and turned into water. It came crashing down onto the golem, indeed, washing it away. “Elemental summon, Estangrtiol!” The man shouted. Kynoto remembered this. He was reminded of what fear was as he saw the gigantic creature rise from the forest. This monster was a powerful creature and even Kynoto only had a very steep chance of stopping it. “I must use that now, or all is lost. Shenginoki no Jitsu!” He formed the seals of horse, dog, dragon, snake, and light. This attack was a summoning Jitsu. A seal formed on the ground in front of Kynoto. “Eh?! What’s this?! You’re planning on using that? Heh, this will be interesting. Estangrtiol, prepare for battle!” The man shouted to the gigantic dragon in the woods. Kynoto got his first look in a very long time at the legendary Mist dragon, as it rose from the woods in an impressive manner. The aptly named mist dragon was, in fact, a real dragon, fire-breathing and all, but it was also slightly different. Fire attacks would not even scratch it. The dragon itself was made out of a rock like material, not really mist; it gets that name for it’s resistance to fire. The dragon let out a massive roar that shook the trees, stirring up many birds that had chosen to roost there. Kynoto looked up to see the dragons armor form on it. This armor was incredible. It was made out of the hardest dragon skin in the world, only extremely powerful attacks and weapons could pierce but one layer of it. ‘Now, it must be now my old friend, come help me please!’ Kynoto thought as he turned back to the seal. There was an explosion as the seal irrupted into smoke and ash. As the wind blew away the debris, a shadowed figure could bee seen. Then the monstrosity came into clear site. Kynoto had not just summoned a creature; he had summoned one of the eldest dragons in existence; Kalam, the crystal dragon. “Ahh. Now that your ready, lets see what that dragon of yours can do to the dragon of mist!” The man ushered to Kynoto. Kynoto looked up and stared into the eyes of the man, “Galathrong, you can’t win,” Kynoto said as another voice ushered from somewhere beneath him, “And I won’t let you win. I am far too noble to lose to a mere mist dragon,” The crystal dragon hissed. “Hahaha, I see you still remember me Kynoto. Well, let’s see if the student can teach the teacher something, shall we? Oh, by the way Kynoto, I am your teacher and as such, I know most of your attacks, new and old alike, so don’t get cocky boy,” Galathrong said menacingly, a slight smirk creeping onto his face. Before Kynoto knew what was happening, Galathrongs’ dragon had his in a deadly hold. Kynoto began to think fast. He rushed onto the head of Kalam. “Diaitsu-no-shadow-jitsu!” Kynoto yelled as his fist grew dark from the attack. This attack, Kynoto hoped, would break through the armor and kill Galathrong’s dragon with ease. Galathrong realized this and muttered, “Oh, you’re no fun anymore Kynoto, haha. Using that right off the start. Well then, Estangrtiol, back off, quickly! This is just the beginning my student. Elemental special attack, Earth dragon!” “What?!” Kynoto said as he stumbled over backward. “That dragon there can change its element Kynoto, I would have thought that you of all people would have remembered that,” Kalam said, taking off into the sky where it was safe. Since the dragon had become an earth dragon, he could travel underground freely and at great speeds, but earth dragons can't fly. “Special attack, Hellion!” said the dragon as it hurtled from the earth straight up into the sky where Kynoto and Kalam were residing. Neither Kalam nor Kynoto had suspected this and were caught off guard. The earth dragon had turned into a fire elemental dragon and was now on a collision course with Kalam. The attack hit dead center, stunning Kalam. The dragon of crystal fell from the sky, hitting the ground and shattering into millions of tiny fragments. “Heh, not so powerful, are you Kynoto? And I thought I was in for a challenging fight. Ha, I didn’t even break a sweat. This isn’t the Kynoto I remember teaching. No, the Kynoto I remember was much stronger then yo…! What the..?” Galathrong exclaimed as he looked down on Kynoto. “No, I’m your old student alright, but I have learned how to fully harness my powers. Now, I’ll show you just how powerful I am, heh!” Kynoto said, as he smiled and began to power up. “H-how could you be this strong? I only taught you for five weeks, and you were incredibly strong then, but now you’re..you’re…you’re a monster!! Nothing this strong should exist, therefore, I am left but one choice…I must destroy you!” Galathrong ushered as he held his sword up in front of him. This sword was a marvelous sight, its’ golden blade and the encrusted hilt shimmering in the moonlight. He ran forward, towards Kynoto and swung as hard as he could. As the sword came towards Kynoto, he did nothing. The sword hit Kynoto chest and shimmied as it snapped leaving Kynoto unharmed. Galathrong stumbled backwards as he said, “How in the hell did you deflect that?” “Heh, now do you see old man? You can’t even scratch me. Why, do you ask? Well I’ll tell you. It’s because you have no real power. It’s all in your mind, so this power you think you have is only self-generated. It doesn’t exist but in your mind. Now, see how your old student surpasses you!” Kynoto said cheekily. He powered up as far as he could and attacked the enemy dragon. His hands began glow with power as they ripped through the flesh of the dragon as if it was paper. Kynoto had split the dragon in half before he stopped. Galathrong stared in amazement. Here, his old student, had just killed a dragon, one of the most powerful creatures on the planet, with his bare hands. “But..but how?! Dragon flesh is almost indestructible, so how!?” He shouted at Kynoto who only smirked and said, “This is what real power is. Do you still want to fight me now?” Galathrong took two steps forward and said, “Of course. Now that I know what Trianchu is, I realize that I do have this so called power, but that it has been locked inside of me till now. If you want to know where Knifes is, you’ll have to get by me first!” Galathrong powered up well past Kynoto, proving that the student is always second rate to the teacher. His power was substancial, and it had just come to him. Kynoto was in for a rough fight, not only because Galathrong knew most of his techniques, but also because he knew how to counter them. “Kamikazi!” Kynoto shouted as he rushed towards Galathrong, hoping to catch him off guard. Galathrong merely stepped to the left and savagely elbowed Kynoto in the back, sending him sailing into the ground. “Did you think that you could even touch me with that?” He said as he ground Kynotos’ face into the ground, causing his nose to break, “Now, time to show you what you have forgotten… Nasignal!” Galathrong punched the ground and sent Kynoto into the air with the repercussion. He positioned himself under Kynoto and pulled off a precise uppercut into Kynotos’ stomach as he came back down. Kynoto coughed up blood as he was suspended in the air. Galathrong threw Kynoto up into the air yet again, but this time he jumped with him. He rose above Kynoto and dealt him a bone breaking kick to Kynoto’s back, breaking it in three places. Kynoto sailed into the ground and didn’t get up, but he was still alive. He gasped in pain as he tried to regain his breath. He, very slowly, got up off of the ground and stood to face Galathrong. “Hmm.. very good old man, but it wasn’t good enough,” Kynoto said, resentment burning in his eyes and lining his voice as he faced Galathrong. “Interesting, you’re still alive. Thought for sure that would have killed you. But never mind this little technicality, I’ll have you in your grave before the end,” Galathrong said, his voice shaking a little. The attack he had used on Kynoto had taken a lot out of him. “Heh, tired after just that? Well, I’ll let you see one of my newer attacks then, old man,” Kynoto said as he charged Galathrong, “Dicer!” Kynoto’s sword slid through Galathrong easily. This attack hit Galathrong 20 times, ending, or so Kynoto thought, this battle, yet things did not go as planed. “That all that does? What a waste!” Kynoto turned to see Galathrong completely healed. He had not a scratch on him. “What…, but how?!” Kynoto stammered. Then a voice shot out from nowhere. “Kill him now. Other wise, he will be a burden to me. I will not waste my power on him,” a voice sounding like Knifes ushered from the darkness. “As you will, M’ lord,” said Galathrong as he turned to Kynoto, “Well, it looks like this is goodbye, my most prized student. May we meet again in the after life! Finishing move, GigaBea…WHAT THE…!?” Galathrong had not the time to stop what he was doing as a female warrior came dashing at him. She held her sword aloft as she jumped at him. The sky was stained with blood as she landed on the ground. “I am eternally grateful to you miss. He would have surly killed me with that,” Kynoto said to the woman, rather shocked that he had almost been killed. “Oh, don’t mention it. I had some business with him in the first place. Oh, where are my manners, I’m Mirror, mercenary for hire. And you would be?” She asked Kynoto “I am Kynoto, pleased to make your acquaintance Mirror,” Kynoto said, relieved that she was not after him. As she walked out of the shadows, Kynoto got his first look at her. She had deep blue hair that fell to the middle of her back. Her eyes were a shade of pale grey. She stood at about five feet six inchs tall, and had a slim but well endowed body. She had on a black female warrior garb. Kynoto thought that it was rather revealing, but he was not about to say anything. “You are Kynoto?? Wow, never thought I’d actually get to meet you, let me explain,” She said, seeing the confused look on Kynoto’s face. “I was hired by a man named Triasha. I suspect that he is a friend of yours?” Kynoto nodded and let Mirror continue, “Well, he hired me to find a kid named Knifes. His orders were to take him out by any means necessary.” “How much was he going to pay you?” Kynoto asked. “What do you mean 'was'?” She asked abruptly. “Just answer the question.” “He said he would pay me five hundred kataries,” She said, a little hatred in her voice. Kynoto reached into this pocket and brought up fifteen hundred kataries and handed them to Mirror, who was baffled. “What are you doing?!” “Just take it, since he won’t be able to give it to you himself. Yep that’s right. He’s dead. He got killed by that boy that you were hired to kill. That is who I am searching for. I seek not retribution, but peace. His mind is chaotic and I must clear it, before he does something else that he might regret,” Kynoto said woefully. “A mere boy killed Triasha? Wow, then this boy is… I don’t think I can handle him,” Mirror said in an astounded voice. Kynoto reassured her, “You indeed can not. Only I have the power too now. Will you join me? You have been tracking him for quite awhile, and perhaps you have some information about where he is?” Kynoto asked hopefully. “Yes, I do know where he might be, and yes, I will join you. What can I do against an abomination like that all on my own in the first place?!” She answered Kynoto. “Well, that depends. If you are any good of a fighter, you might land a blow or two, but they would barely scathe him,” Kynoto said, turning to the forest. Mirror just stood in the clearing and stared into space, trying to fathom Knifes power. When she snapped out of it, she ran after Kynoto. |

Chapter 13 Knifes' New Power Naomi awoke to a loud banging at Kynoto’s door. As she peered out of the peephole that Kynoto had installed before he left, she saw to shady figures; a tall man and a rather short woman. They looked almost dead-like and gave Naomi a sense of foreboding that she hadn’t felt since Triasha was about to kill himself. She opened the door slowly and cautiously. When they did not attack her, she opened the door all the way and asked the two strangers what business they had with her. The woman said, with a strong eastern accent, “Good morning Miss Naomi, we are here by request of Kynoto. We are to serve as your bodyguards until Kynoto returns. Hopefully there won’t be much to guard you from, but Kynoto thought it better safe then sorry.” “I see. Well then, please, come in and make yourselves at home. Any friend of Kynoto is a friend of mine,” Naomi said warmly. The two Psyclopires found that this place was suitable for them; there were not many windows. “Oh, sorry, where are our manners. I am Rona and this here is Felto. We are former Psyclopires for Count Costranella. Since we are effectively part vampire, we must sleep during the day. If you need anything, anything at all, come and wake one or the both of us and we will see if we can help,” Rona stated, as she and Felto went to find the darkest part of the house to slumber in. Elsewhere, evil deeds were at work, creating monstrous creatures. Knifes had, at least, tapped into his inner Ascendant powers and he found that these powers were very useful. This new power allowed him to summon a number of creatures, not unlike Kynotos’ summoning technique. Except, these monsters were more powerful. He was creating an army, but it was not for Kynoto; no. This army was for Naomi. Knifes was planning on using her as bait for Kynoto, for he knew that if Kynoto got mad enough that his focus would waver, allowing him the opportunity to rid himself of his presence. This would not be easy tough, as Kynoto had somehow guessed that he might do this and left 2 bodyguards with her. Normally, he himself would deal with mere bodyguards, but these were not normal circumstances; the bodyguards were Psyclopires. Not only that, but they were former servants of one of the eldest vampires in existence, Vladimir Costranella. Knifes knew that these Psyclopires were above ordinary, as they had special powers, but he pressed on and in his research, he found an interesting section of ancient lore. It spoke of an ancient horror, bane of the vampires’ it was called, which had been a mortal enemy of the vampires ever since it came into existence. This was, of course, some what of an ironic situation because the vampires had originally created this monster to help them guard their lord, Vladimir Dracula; the ‘holiest’ of vampires. After Richter Belmont killed Dracula, they remaining vampires had not the power to control the abomination and it went on a bloody rampage. That was until the daring Alucard, also a vampire, put a stop to it and sealed it in the zone between the living world and the world of the dead, where it still remains; a well kept and well hidden secret. Knifes could recreate this monster, but he needed some of its DNA. The only clue to the whereabouts of this creature was a riddle of ancient lore that had been long forgotten by mortal men, but well preserved it had been in the travel log of Kynoto. ‘If it is I you seek then follow this riddle to where the answers lie. The place where I am hidden is dark and dank, moist yet dry, in a high place but also in a low place. To reach this place you must see the land as if you were up high; follow the winding snake of blue until you lose site of it under the teeth that bite the wool of sheep that rise from the ground. Next you must cross over a sea of sand and dunes; naught but animals preside here. Then off to the east; a spot of green you will see. Over the green you must go, but be careful of what’s below as a great woe. From there, you will see a red mountain; red as fire, and the air will grow hot beneath the moon. The dragons fire, worse then dire; beneath the moon, under the hills. For it is here that you will find me there, behind a door; locked; of riddles. But if you followed my route exact; the door should open before the moonsets. Now I must go and sleep, till the one who comes, comes and upsets the calmness of my lair that presides there.’ Knifes when over and over it in his head to no avail. It was far to complicated, as it should be since it tells the way to the most fearsome creature of the times. “Hmmm, blue snake...blue snake...ahha, a river. Ok then, I will start by following this rivier...but where is one? There aren’t any around these parts, except maybe...I wonder, this riddle was written long ago, and so the river might have dried up of been sent underground. I’ll need to find an old map that would have been from the time that the riddle was written. This is going to take a long time, yes indeed,” Knifes said, shaking his head in forlorn, “Wait! Where did I put that map that Kynoto gave me,” Knifes said, now rummaging around in a cabinet. Then he found what he was looking for. He took the musty old parchment out of the cabinet and untied the lace that kept it rolled up. He spread it out upon his table, using stones for paperweights at the corners. He then took a more current map and placed it beside the old one so he could compare the two. He saw that there was indeed a river, but it was covered up somehow, making it an underground river. Knifes procured a pen out of thin air and began to scribble notes on the two maps. Once he had finished solving the riddle he realized what it meant. He read aloud, “Follow the Aluind river to the Zheral mountains, then I must cross the Sea of Fire, and after that, to the east, is Hero’s Bane forest, which is filled with monsters that are dreaded by many and feared by all. Hmmm, they might make some good specimens. Then one of the places I will not like the most, Dragon mountain. Evil place that is, dragons of all sorts there and what’s more is that there are certain items to be gained in each of these places in order to open that door in Dragon mountain. Not only that, but I must win this creatures blood and that will be the hardest task of them all, no doubt there. |

Chapter 14 The Creature from the Darkness It had been four days since Knifes set out on his journey; he had found a mercenary on the second day. This man asked for a large sum of money, but he was very strong. His Quadra-blade could slice at something from almost every angle, though it looked rather hefty. They were currently in the Mines, which proved more perilous then Knifes had hoped for. Many things beyond Knifes power lurked in the darkness and Knifes could feel their energy. Thankfully, most were asleep and did not notice their two guests. As for the ones who were awake, they ignored them, which is logical, since Knifes power was dwarfed by most of them. It was their fifth day in the Mines and they would be out of them in another three, which Knifes longed for to go by as quickly as possible. On the last day, however, they reached the exit only to find that a creature of immense proportions was blocking it. It stared down at Knifes with gleaming gold eyes and asked, it’s voice booming off the many halls in the mine, “What purpose have you here?” “We are not but travelers here. Please let us pass,” Knives said, his voice quivering a little. “Harhar, likely story,” laughed the monster as it picked up Knifes by his cloak with two of its claws. It turned him over and the maps fell into its hands. “Eh? What’s this? Ahh, here is your purpose. So you want to reawaken that thing do you? Well too bad, I won’t let you. If you can kill me and get through that door before the rest of the demons in this realm kill you, then you can awaken him, but you can’t beat me,” It said boastingly. “Alright, if that is what you want. I do hope you’re ready because I am not pulling any punches,” Knifes roared as he powered up. “Harhar, you might be strong, but I you’re still no match for me,” The monster chuckled. He was getting ready to say something else when he was halted. Knifes had punched him in what looked like his stomach, it was hard to tell in the darkness, and knocked the wind out of the monster. “Maybe I underestimated you, but I will still crush you,” The colossus said, getting his breath back. He lifted his foot and slammed it into the ground where Knifes was standing. He lifted it only to reveal that he had missed. “Hmm, fast bug aren’t you. Well, then if I must I must,” said the creature as it started to shake. Soon after Knifes heard the popping of many bones and wondered what the monster was doing. This was soon answered. “Ahh, that felt so good. Sleeping for three thousand years tends to make your bones stiff, now, where were we? Ah yes. Try dodging this!” It said as it slammed its foot down again, but much faster this time. He caught Knifes off guard and almost succeeded in crushing him, but Knifes had forced his Trianchu through his out stretched hands and stopped the foot from killing him. It was then he realized how strong the creature was, the thing had started to push down with his foot. Knifes arms started to buckle under the strain, but he forced himself to not let go. “Eh? What’s this? The runt has a bit of energy in him eh? Well, I commend you for being able to hold off my strength for as long as you have, but sadly, this must end. Now, I shall tell you my name, since you are the only one who has ever held me off this long. I am Garthicon; remember that name well young one, as you die,” Garthicon ushered as he put all of his strength into slamming his foot down. Knifes felt the insurmountable weight and strength of the fiends foot as it steadily pushed him farther and farther into the ground. Garthicon’s foot had finally slammed to the ground, trapping Knifes under it; devoid of oxygen and soon to die. Then, when all was thought won, Garthicon’s foot started to shake. A beam rose out of the titan’s foot, the light from it lit the room. Garthicon howled in pain; his foot had been run clean through by a small, but powerful, blast of Trianchu. “What in the name of Khial was that?” Garthicon yelled. Khial is a place in Hell for demons who have sinned against Satan and it is the most dangerous part of Hell. Knifes arose out of the hole, looking for better or worse revived by the fresh air. He strode up to Garthicon and uttered with a sneer, “Ha, is this the mighty Garthicon that I have read about? I felled you with a single shot to your foot. That is pathetic. Now I shall kill you, I have other things to attend to,” Knifes help his palm up to Garthicon’s forehead and as he did so, his arm began to glow with a feverish light. In the next instant, with a flash, Garthicon was turned to ashes. “That was amazing, My Lord,” the mercenary said, his voice quivering with excitement, for he had never seen such a power as his master possessed. Knifes said nothing, but he looked worried about something. Then he saw it; Garthicon’s heart was not yet destroyed. Knifes jumped away from the ashes as they began to spin around the heart. “Harharhar, nice try kid, you almost had me there, but you forgot to destroy my heart. Now, let’s see what you really can do,” Garthicon said, as his body was being rebuilt right before Knifes eyes. He was going to have a harder time then he thought. He turned to the mercenary and said, “Alright, now it’s your turn, I need to rebuild my power, that last attack drained a lot form me.” The man nodded as he pulled out two of his four swords. “Hahaha, now lets get this party started!” the man yelled insanely. Garthicon saw that these were not normal swords; they had an evil look about them. Something was not right, those were demon swords, yet a mortal had them. He decided that this was going to get very interesting. He readied himself for the man that was now approaching him. Garthicon was getting ready to smash him when he vanished. He could not sense him anywhere. “Well, now what have we hear?” he said, glancing around the room for the missing man, “Fast cockroaches, aren’t you humans?” “But I am not a human,” said a voice from behind him. Garthicon felt four swords ripping savagely at his back. He extended his back spikes and turned to see that the man was in fact a demon, but he was a neutral demon; one that would work for humans, angels, and demons alike, for the right price. He had sprouted two more arms and now had all four swords unsheathed. His aura had changed too; from blue to black. Garthicon realized that this foe was just as strong as the last one; or so he thought. He had no idea of Knifes true powers. This new foe was faster then the last and, to Garthicon, he was stronger. “Four Sword technique; Ganshig!” Garthicon knew this attack, but it was much faster then he remembered. The mercenary held all four swords up and in a great gale, he had sliced off the monsters arm again, which reformed a few seconds later. “I just had to make sure. Now, you should know who I am Garthicon, heh. I am Hetilous!” he said with a smirk. “What?! You’re that demon?! Oh oh oh, harharhar, have I got some retribution to take out on you boy! For killing my daughters and wife, I will more then kill you, I'll diminish your soul to nothing!” Garthicon howled, his body surged with power and Knifes had to shield his eyes as the creature began to glow; he was about to use one very powerful attack; soul killer, the worst of any attacks that he knew. It literally kills the soul of the person it is used upon; it is a true death. “Now! Soul Killer!” Garthicon shouted. Hetilous didn’t even dodge the attack. “Harhar, gave up did you…wait…what’s this?!!” Garthicon shouted as he saw that he was still there. “Ha, you old fool. Did you really think that would work on me? I gave up my soul when I killed your family. Now, it’s my turn. Quadra sword!” Hetilous shouted as his swords merged. “Alright, Quadra sword attack; Final Night!” this attack was so fast that not even Knifes kept up with it. In a split second, Hetilous had sliced Garthicon into eighths; his heart was abolished as a result of the Trianchu that was pumped through the sword. “Nicely done, you got me, the first person to ever beat a demon of my linage in over two hundred thousand years,” Garthicon gurgled as his body fell into a pile of dust. Knifes sternly looked a the demon and said, “You know that I hate demons, yet you chose to join me…why?” “Because I knew that you would not kill me if I agreed to help you. You only hate the demons that try to kill you or one of your friends and since I have done neither you won’t hurt me,” Hetilous replied, un-melding his swords and sheathing them. Knifes smirked, it was a good enough explanation for him. They took one last look at the hell they had just traveled through and stepped outside, one riddle closer to their objective. |

Chapter 15 Ring Guardian As Knifes and Hetilous came out of the cave, they saw a searing desert in front of them. “Hmm, looks like this is the Sea of Fire that the riddle referred too. Now let’s try to figure out a way to cross without getting killed. Many things live in those sands, sand worms, ant lions, and creatures of all manners,” Knifes said as he glanced at the riddle. He looked up and ushered Hetilous to him. Knifes showed him a part of the riddle and asked him what it meant. “Hmm, I believe that this is one of those said items,” Hetilous said as he held up an elaborately decorated ring of gold and silver with strange runes, most likely Vampire runes, etched on the underside of the band and around the center stone; a glowing ruby. “There must be items in each area like this. Hmm, I wonder…Ah ha, as I though! Look, if I try to pass into the desert, I am blocked be a force field. Now, let’s see what this does,” he said, explaining his findings to Knifes. And behold! as the ring drew close to the field, a depression appeared. It had the same runes around the outer circle that their ring did. Hetilous pushed the ring into place with a small clicking noise and the barrier faded away. The ring fell to the ground, its gem now unlit. “Ahh, good work my friend. I was right to bring you with me. Not only are you strong fighter, you are also very intelligent. Well, shall we?” Knifes said as he looked into the shimmering sands. They entered and immediately felt a great weight upon them. It was as if the very air weighed twice as much. On top of that, it was extremely hot and it wondered Knifes that anything could live in such a desolate place. The sand pulled them downward with every step they took; it was as if it was welcoming them into its unknown depths. They had gotten about a third of the way across the desert by night fall. Knifes soon wished that it was day again for the night was as bad as the day but the conditions were reversed. The night was unexplainably cold. Knifes speculated that it was around ten degrees Fahrenheit and there was no wood for a fire. They finally got to sleep after Knifes used a fire Trianchu spell and to his surprise, set the sand on fire. It appeared that the sand was full of Trianchu particles of an unknown attribute, as such to allow it to amplify anything that touched it, which would explain the hot days and very cold nights. It was morning when Knifes awoke with a start. It was already getting hot and he had begun to dehydrate. He searched for the water to find only one bottle left. He drank it viciously but then he wondered what had happened to the rest of it. “Hetilous, did you drink any water at all?” Knifes asked the mercenary as he awoke. He replied in a groggy voice, “Of course not. We demons don’t need to drink or eat. You should know that. Why do you ask?” “Well, most of the water is missing, and I just drank this bottle, the first water I have had since we started this quest. I think we are not alone out here,” said Knifes as he surveyed the land looking for any possible sings of life or that someone had been there. Not after long, he found a set of tracks, but he had never seen ones like these before. They had spiky ridges around the heel and only had three toes, the one in the middle was larger then the rest. “Found yourself some Kelloff tracks eh?” Hetilous asked Knifes, who had turned around. “Kelloffs? What the heck are those?” Knifes uttered shivering a little at the thought of what monstrosities these creatures could be. The tracks themselves were about five times the size as Knifes foot. “Believe it or not, they are gentle, proud creatures who will aid anyone who helps them, for good or ill mind you. It probably needed water and took ours. If we find it, we might be able to persuade it to lead us out of the hellish place,” Hetilous told Knifes as he began to follow the tracks then he stopped suddenly and turned around. “They speak a language you will not understand, but I can help you with that. Hefosis!” Hetilous shouted as a grimy green light surrounded Knifes. Knifes struggled to get away but then realized that the demon was teaching him the language of the strange creature for he could feel that he knew something that he did not know before and could not possibly have known any other way then by a spell. After Knifes fell to the ground, Hetilous resumed his search. It was around midday in the town that Kynoto and Mirror were staying at, a light breeze was ruffling the leaves on the tree that Kynoto sat under, bringing him the smell of food from the taverns in the city. Kynoto had decided to go have a look around and, feeling drowsy, had found himself a hillock with a nice, big, shady tree to sit under. He had wanted to stay in doors but that was now out of his control. Mirror had kicked him out of the room claming that he would peek while she took a bath, preposterous in his opinion. His thoughts then turned to Knifes. He wondered just how everything went so wrong. How Kynotoishi, quite the evil man himself, had turned Knifes into a creature full of darkness and resentment. Soon he fell asleep from exhaustion; he had pushed himself too hard against Galathrong. When he awoke he found that night had descended upon him. He decided that it was time to head back to the inn. He took a detour to a pub and bought a few drinks, fairly strong ones at that, and drank them in a corner table then left for the inn. Just as he walked into the room Mirror jumped up from the shadows and said, a few tears in her eyes, “Where have you been? I was worried sick that you got attacked by some mugger. Anyway, I found out some information on Knifes,” she said, sniffling and wiping her eyes on a kleenex, “He’s supposed to be looking for something in the Desert of Fire, but you would know it as The Desert of Galamesh.” At hearing this Kynoto was overcome with a sense of fear. He knew where Knifes was going and what he was planning. He would revive that evil even though it would probably kill Knifes, just so Knifes could kill him. “Master, this is where the beast lives,” Hetilous shouted to Knifes as he pointed to a tunnel in the sands. He put his hands to his mouth and yelled in a strange dialect that Knifes mysteriously could understand, “Jaffel rict menzeris ghofentile ploygthil.” Knifes heard it like this but he heard it in another way, one that made sense to him somehow, “Oh mighty Kelloff, we have come seeking your aid in our quest. We would be honored if you were to join us.” The ground started to shake as a strange creature popped its head from the tunnel. Much to Knifes surprise, the creature sort of resembled a bear, but it had a shorter snout and much broader feet. “Hoi, no ‘eed for tha’ talk ‘ere. Oi be Falen, at yee ‘ervice,” the creature said with a great bow. “Oh, good, you can speak our language. Hmm, not many of your kind can do that can they?” Hetilous asked Falen. “No, indeed the’ can’t. Matter o’ fact, Oi bees the onl’ one lef’ tha’ can speak this language. Well, Oi can barley speek it, hurrhurr,” Falen said with his strange accent, “but this b’aint no spring piknik. Wha’ can I help youms look fers?” Hetilous help up the ring and said, “We look for a ring that looks like this one. We need it to enter the forest that lies beyond this desert. Do you know of such a jewel?” “Youms bets Oi doo. But it won’ be easy to get, buur no. He guards it,” Falen said as he pointed to the statue of a giant worm with a massive sword, “an’ he b’aint no easy push ov’r that he b’aint.” “He guards it eh? Heh, this should be fun. He looks strong but I should be able to beat him easily. Please take us to him Falen,” Knifes gloating. Falen eyed him carefully and sensed that there was something peculiar about the boy. “By the way, Oi don’ know yer names,” Falen said to the travelers. “Oh, excuse my rudeness, I am Hetilous and this here is Knifes,” Hetilous said as he bowed and quickly bade Knifes to do the same. Falen finally realized what that feeling was as he looked into the eyes of Knifes, a cold hatred and a murderous power. Falen’s blood ran cold as he stared into the cold, grey eyes of Knifes. ‘This boy, he jus’ migh’ be able to doo eet. Delino is strong bu’ this boy has an aura about him that frightens me. Hurrhurr, Delino needs to bee taugh’ a lesson anyway,’ Falen thought to him self. “Alrigh’, I’ll take youms to him, but I warn youms, Delino is a strong fella an’ he don’ take strangers lightly,” Falen spoke with his accent as he led them down a path to the left of his tunnel. They then passed through a cavren that was made of sandstone and marbel. soon they came to the exit only to see a giant sandworm blocking their path. Its three bloodshot eyes whizzed around insanely before landing on Knifes, its many circular rows of teeth started to turn making a low humming noise. Before Falen could say or do anything the monster attacked. "Leave this weaking to me!" Knifes yelled, "Mystic Trianchu attack, Blitzgreag!" The sand around Knifes rose up and encompassed him, taking his physical form so that he might bend it to his will. As the worm drew closer, Knifes lifted his arm and the sand around it turned into a spike which peirced the thick hide of the beast and scewerd it. Knifes discarded the creature and the sand fell away from him. Falen was utterly amazed at the strength of this boy. "Now, where is this Delino at?" Knifes asked Falen who replied shakily, "Well, tha' critt'r tha' youm jus' slayed, tha' was Delino." "What?! That weak thing was him? Hahaha, what a push over. And to think that I thought he was going to be harder to defeat then Garthicon, oh man, this is too much, haha!" "Youms beat Garthoicon?! Oh mee word, youm mus' be a strong lad then eh?" Falen said, his eyes wide with amazement, "Oim goin' ta come with ya lads, Oim eageer ta see wha' youms doo abou' the monster in the wuds over there." Falen pointed to the entrance to the woods, a sign creaked as it swang in the wind. It had Vampiric writing on it, Qennz ek Iefni, that when translated read Hollow of Souls. |

Chapter 16 The Hollow of Souls Knifes had finished searching Delinos' remains and found what he was searching for, the second ring. He held it up to the sun, just to make sure, sure enough it had Vampire ruins on it. He called Hetilous over and gave the ring to him. Hetilous took the ring and put it on then walked towards the forest. He was unsure but he could barely detect something different about this barrier. Hetilous got to the indentation and was about to insert the ring when he was knocked backwards. Alarmed, Hetilous got back to his feet quickly and returned to the hole. Then he felt the ring being rejected by the barrier. It was as if the forest was forcing Hetilous back, away from the hole. Then Knifes decided to help and between the both of them, they got the ring into the depression. As the barrier fell, a tidal wave of chilled air flowed from the woods. It chilled the group to the bone, making their blood run cold. As they entered the woods Knifes thought he saw a pair of gleaming yellow eyes staring at him, but when he blinked the eyes were gone and Knifes dismissed it as his mind playing tricks on him. Then he got the sensation that he was being watched. The air was tense and silent, save for Falen’s talking, which echoed off the trees in the small clearing, "Burr, this b'aint a guud place ta bee, feels loik Oi'm bein' watcheed." I know the feeling," Hetilous whispered. "You too huh?" Knifes said, brandishing his sword. Then there was a rustle in the tree next to them and Hetilous saw what it was that was hunting them. "Run, the both of you! I can handle this fiend by myself, you just get out of here, go!" he shouted as he drew his Quadra blade. Knifes did not think twice, he picked up Falen and ran like the wind, deeper into the forest. Hetilous was now faced with a deadly creature that only lived in the Hollow of Souls; a Gorgoth. Its yellow eyes glowing maliciously as it stared at Hetilous. He made no movement, if he did the Gorgoth would see it as an act of war. This was harder then it sounded, the Gorgoth's were designed to cause terror, they generally had big, bulky bodies with small spikes protruding from the back. Its skin was like dragon scales, hard to scratch and even harder to pierce. They had razor sharp claws, which were retractable, in the feet and hands. This one looked like an old one, its skin had a gray hue to it. Hetilous's mind was racing, thinking of what to do, he dared not look away from its eyes and he dared not move. Then a squirrel ran by his feet, its tail tickling a wound that he had sustained from fighting Garthicon, causing him to lose his balance. The Gorgoth pounced immediately on to Hetilous and the woods were filled with his screams. Knifes heard them and stopped to see if Hetilous was following them. He did not move again until Falen said, "Burr, wee best get again befeer what happene' to yer friend hapeens to usens. Gorgoth’s b'aint things to foool with, deer mee no." Knifes turned quickly to confront Falen, "Gorgoth’s?! And you knew they were in here?!" "Well, yiss, but I didn' think tha' they were so dangerous," Falen said crest Falen. Knifes picked him up again and continued to run. Well, we have two of the rings, so the final two must be in this forest somewhere," Knifes said, his voice partially drowned out by the sound of rustling bushes. Then Knifes hit something hard that knocked him backwards, Falen was thrown to the side of Knifes. Knifes looked straight up into a pair of big, red eyes and Falen screamed, "Burr, lemme outa here! I knew somthin' loik thiss wuld happen. It’s a Deathiran. Wee'd best run fer it Lad!" "No," Knifes interjected, "I will fight this thing. I will not let something as puny as this stop me. You haven't seen my power Falen, just leave everything to me." Burr, whatever ya say Lad, but don't get mad at Oi if ya doo beat it and Oi am not here," Falen said, shaking in fright. Knifes saw this and wondered what Falen was so afraid of, it's power level was far below his. Knifes gripped his sword tightly and took a step towards the creature. Who are you, Little Man?" the Deathiran asked Knifes. You can talk?! Well, umm, I am Knifes and I intend to continue on my journey," Knifes replied, gripping his sword even tighter. "Kinfes, that is an interesting name Little Man. You shall not pass through the exit to these woods, a thing of great evil lies beyond here and no mortal may obtain it," the Deathiran said, flexing its arms as its eyes glowed in the still darkness. "Well I am not a mortal, I am a God!" Knifes said as he let his full power out. Falen stared in amazement, he had never before felt such a thing. It was monstrous. The monster took a reproachful look at Knifes and said, "Well, you do have allot of power, Little Man, but you can not win if that is all the power that you have. I am Julion, king of the Deathirans'," Julion said. Falen looked up to the creature, sheer terror showing in his face and his quaking resumed. "King of the Deathiran's eh?" Knifes said as a smile crept onto his face, "Well then Julion, you will have to excuse me." "For what Little Man?" the creature boomed back. "For this!" Knifes shouted and he ran toward Julion and punched him in the stomach. "What power is this?!" Julion said as he gasped for breath. "You are stronger then you look Little Man, but I will crush you!" Julion raised his hand and as he did so, his power shot upward. Knifes was astounded at the amount of power this beast had. "Death Strike!" Julion shouted. His hand turned a luminous green and he thrusted it into Knifes's shoulder. Knifes pretended to die so that he could launch a surprise attack on Julion. "See Little Man? You lost because of your arrogance. Eh, what’s this?!" Julion yelled and Knifes executed his attack. "How can you still be alive?" Then he felt the true scope of Knifes power as the attack ripped through his skin. Knifes had used a forbidden skill, the Needle arm attack. This turned Knifes arm into an object quite like a knife, and he had cut the Deathiran in half. "Little Man, you are very strong, but when your inner struggle materializes, you won't be so cocky," Julion said as his body disintegrated. As the ashes blew away, Knifes saw two golden rings gleaming in the night. He picked them up and beckoned to Falen, who followed him but not with out much persuading. As they exited the woods they saw a mountain of fire; Dragon Mountain, their final destination. |

Chapter 17 The Secret of Dragon Mountain Falen and Knifes now walked toward the mountain, they could see dragons flying around the peak of the mountain, but what bothered Knifes the most was what terrors awaited them inside of it. As they passed through the hole in the side of the mountain, some dragons took notice of them. They swooped down and almost caught Falen, but Knifes had his sword out already and had seen them coming. With that they were more cautious. They treaded carefully across the hot floors, trying not to divert any attention to them. Knifes accidentally steeped on a stone and slipped. A rather large dragon with greenish blue scales saw them and attacked. "Oh no you don't, Hesakgan!" Knifes roared as the energy attack hit and vaporized the dragon, but this had a drawback. Knifes had awakened all of the dragons that had been sleeping and those that had been flying around the top now soared downward toward their prey. Knifes looked around and said, slightly laughing, "Oh crap. Trianchu attack; Omni-Hesakgan!" This was the same as the original attack but it was sent in all directions away from Knifes body. It encompassed the whole of the mountain, turning all of the dragons to ash. Knifes never had ceased to amaze Falen yet, and Falen thought that he never would. Soon the came to a long stone bridge that seemed to have been carved out of a wall of stone. It was slippery and smooth, it had no restraints around the edges so if one fell, it would be to their death. Falen had a little trouble but Knifes managed to save him before he fell to far. Once they got across they saw a gigantic stone archway. Its many pillars had strange vampiric ruins on them. As Knifes and Falen approached the giant stone archway that lead to the entrance to the mountain that was inside of the mountain, a new, much larger, barrier appeared. This one had materialized more extensively then the others, it looked almost like a doorway. On the top of the barrier there were more vampire ruins; Zqmg si sg hgmg hef icct? Qez zsnn hef fic zqmg hef kswa? Igmgc gqc wmvc ek efx “Isxc”. Kswmnnh, zqmg bmw dc kefwa dfg weg kefwa; qsaaccw dfg fwqsaaccw; ek nskc dfg mnie ek acmgq, sg si zqmg nsci qcxc. "It's no use, I can't read vampire. If only Hetilous was here," Knifes said, shaking his head. "Burr, mayhap Oi can bee of seervice then Lad. Oi know how ta speek a little vampire, le' mee have a look," Falen said as Knifes moved over. He squinted at the writing, cleared his throat, and then read aloud, “What iz eet tha' youm seek? How will youm use what youm find? State the name uf our 'Zire'. Finally, wha' can bee found bu' not found; hiddeen but unhiddeen; of loife bu' also of death, eet iz what loies here. See, tis a riddel, compliceeted tuu. This b'aint my area of expeertise Lad, youms have ta do the res'." "Thank you friend, your knowledge is insurmountable," complemented Knifes, then he turned back to the doorway, "Hmm, I seek the beast that lies dormant here, I will use it for vengeance, that would be Count Vladimir Dracula, and this, I have no clue what it is, but perhaps time is the answer." The doorway gave a shudder as four holes appeared. Knifes inserted a ring into each and stood back. The rings were absorbed into the door and the four holes began to spin counter clockwise. The depressions began to rise from the barrier. Numbers appeared on the dial like object. It now spun clockwise and landed on five after four revolutions. Now it was going counter clockwise. After three spins, the dial stopped on seven. It went clockwise for two turns next and landed on twenty three. The final number that the dial landed on was one. The indentations glew with a strange light as the dial sunk back into the barrier. After the dial was completely absorbed, the barrier fell and the doorway shuddered once again, but this time it creaked open. They had done it, they had found the creature. "Who dares to disturb my slumber?" a voice boomed from the gloom. "Knifes Ceverus, that is who dares to disturb you," Knifes answered. The voice sounded again, "Why have you come here?" "To kill you and take your blood. I need it for my cloning Trianchu. Thus I must kill you!" Knifes shouted into the darkness. "You want to kill me huh? You think that you can bring down the mighty Lenosik with your puny magic tricks? I can withstand vampire magic and that is much stronger then Trianchu and I have come out of those battles unscathed! You worthless mortals are all the same, all talk and no bite. Well then, let's have a look at you," the voice roared as flames materialized out of thin air, illuminating the horrifying monster before them. He looked like a dragon, but there was something different about him, he had three layers of scales, gleaming white eyes that had no pupils, and his body structure was similar to that of Garthicon. "Ah, so this is the worm that dares to challenge me. Well, let me see your power!" without warning, Lenosik lunged at Knifes with incredible speed and precision. Knifes barley got out of the way in time. "You want to see my power?! Alright then, here it is! Trianchu attack; Hells' vengeance!" Knifes shouted. A ball of flame formed in Knifes hands, Falen could feel the heat generated by it. Knifes hurled it at Lenosik who didn’t even try to defend against it, but that proved to be a mistake. The ball exploded on impact, causing parts of Lenosik's armor to crack. "Eh? What’s this?! He cracked my armor?!! heheheh, I underestimated you worm, but never again. Power of Healing!" Lenosik hollered. His armor complete regenerated itself and then he said, "Power of Destruction; Death's Grace!" A grim reaper appeared and it charged at Knifes who was caught off guard and took the attack full force. "Hahaha, look at that. The worm falls after that weak attack, pathetic, absolutely pathetic. Barrier art; Kendio, now he'll remain here for eternity, as a reminder to me that I am not as powerful as I thought, heh. Now, where did that Kelloff get too, I need to extinguish him too," Lenosik said to himself. "Extinguish yourself," a voice from behind the creature rang. Lenosik turned to see Knifes standing there. "But how? That attack should have killed you, but this is not a problem, I have you bounded in Kenido, a spell that no one, not even a vampire, nor myself can break free from. Now, where is that Kelloff hiding," Lenosik said, rummaging around a pile of rubble. He was about to travel out side of his cave when he felt something coming from behind him. He turned around and stared at Knifes. "What?! He's breaking the Kendio with his power? No human should be able to do that if not even I can! If you desire my blood so badly, why not just let me give it too you?" he asked Knifes, who had just broken free of the Kendio. "No! I intend to kill you! Hyper Art; Triasnka!" Knifes shouted defiantly. His body glew with a secret power, a power so great that it obliterated Lenosik as the wave that had been emitted from Knifes' outstretched arms reached him. Knifes walked toward the steaming pile of flesh and blood and put some of it into a vile. As he was about to leave he noticed something that chilled his very soul. He could not read vampire fluently but he could tell what this new arch said, Gqc Wcbxewevsbew, beet ek gqc acma. The Necronomicon, book of the dead. Knifes walked over to the archway and it disappeared leaving a recess in the wall. Inside of it sat the Necronomicon, the book of the dead, bound in human flesh and written in the blood of Satan, which was said to hold magic spells of all sorts. Knifes opened it and found enlightenment. He had found his tool of vengeance. Now all he needed was Kynoto, who had conveniently fallen into his trap. |

Chapter 18 Betrayal It was now daybreak as Mirror and Kynoto left Vendugal by the east road that went into the mountains. Mirror shivered a little from the cold morning air. It was then that Kynoto sensed something in the far of distance, a power unlike anything had ever felt; a power tainted with evil much like Knifes but much more powerful. Mirror felt it too, she asked Kynoto, "What was that?!" "I have no idea, but I have a hunch," Kynoto replied, not looking back. Mirror smirked again, this was the sign. She dropped off the road into a ravine and ran forward, past Kynoto to get in front of him. When she appeared in front of Kynoto, he asked curiously, "What are you doing?" The only reply he got was a shiruken that he had not the time to dodge fully, it caught him in the left arm. Kynoto sensed something about her that made his heart skip a beat. "Mirror?! You were in league with him all along weren't you?" "Haha, so you finally noticed, pity I shall have to kill you, you would have made a good husband," Mirror said slyly as she threw another shiruken at Kynoto who dodged it barely. "And you would have made a good wife, but as I can see that isn't going to happen. I can't believe I let my guard down enough for this to happen. A girl, with strong powers just happens to come at the right time to save me, knows about Triasha and asks to join my quest, and she knows a little more about Knifes whereabouts then she should, why didn't I realize that you were working with him. Alas I don't want to kill you, not only because I like you but because you’re a woman, and no gentleman would hit a lady, but under these circumstances, I suppose that I have to fight you. Prepare yourself Mirror, I am about to show you my true self," Kynoto said as a tear dripped from his right eye. He powered up to his normal level, then he went further, to his former Shadow Angel level. "Heh, so this is all the power that the great Kynoto has? What a shame, I was anticipating a harder fight then this, oh well I'll just finish you off quickly," Mirror said as she formed a seal that Kynoto did not know. A giant strip of rock materialized from the air and flew at Kynoto, who instinctively threw his arms up in defense. As the rock came into contact with his arms, it turned into lava, burning Kynoto severely. Kynoto let out a howl of pain and shouted, "How in the hell?! You changed the rock into lava? Changed Earth into Fire?!" "Ha, correct, that is my power. I can manipulate the elements further then just there elementary stages, I can change them into what I want, such as just now. Or I can change water into wind and then to fire. I can do any combination that I want to," she said, smirking as she attacked Kynoto again, but this time he was ready. He dodged the water, wind, and lightning then ran toward Mirror, unsheathing his sword. "Oh your no fun, alright then, Elemental Sword, Earth and Fire!" she shouted. Kynoto's sword came into contact with Mirror's and many sparks were emitted. Kynoto was forced to drop his sword because it was too hot, evidentially the fire in Mirror's sword had heated up Kynoto's while it was in contact with it. Kynoto summoned his sword back to him once it cooled off and reassessed the situation. 'Hmm, if she touches me with that sword I'm history, but if we lock swords, then she can just wait for my sword to grow too hot for me to handle, hmm this is going to be difficult, but I must. I don't want to kill her, so I will just knock her out for a few days. Alright, he goes nothing," Kynoto thought. "Stunning Attack, Veskil!" "What?!" Mirror exclaimed. "That's right, a stunning attack, I don't intend to kill you, just stun you for a while," Kynoto said as the attack hit Mirror who fell to a heap on the ground. Kynoto walked over to her and picked her up. He placed her on a large rock off of the road and left for the mountains, his thoughts turning from how pretty Mirror looked in the sunlight to Knifes. He wondered if the power he felt earlier was Knifes or if it was something else, but he did not think on it too long for as he reached the mountain, he had another visitor. It was the source of the power he had felt earlier. A demon of the worst kind; a mercenary demon, one who will do anything for anyone as long as there is money involved. "This is as far as you go Kynoto," the demon said. "How do you know my name...wait...don't tell me that your with Knifes as well?!" Kynoto said in disbelief. "Very astute aren’t we? That is correct, I was hired by Knifes and was traveling until I was over come by some of the wild life in the Hollow of Souls, but I figured that Knifes would have his hands full enough with out you getting in the way, which is why I have come to stop you. I know you know my name so lets get one thing straight, I may be a mercenary, but I will never work for you Kynoto, never, or anyone else for that matter for I am indebted to Knifes," The demon said, sending shivers down Kynoto's spine, for he knew who this individual was, one of the deadliest of the demon mercenaries; Hetilous. Kynoto drew his sword and said, "You might well be one of the strongest but your still out matched." "Foolish words, I know you can feel my power, Knifes has used the Necronomicon to revive me, and as such my power should have quadrupled," Hetilous said, smirking at Kynoto's astonished look. "The Necronomicon?! Knifes found the Necronomicon?!! This is bad, very very bad. With that book he could easily destroy this world," Kynoto said almost falling to his knees, but he caught himself in time to dodge Hetilous's attack. "Well, you won't be around to see the end of the world Kynoto and I guarantee it!" Hetilous shouted. Kynoto was on the defensive, Hetilous had indeed gained much more power then Kynoto had thought. A chip appeared in Kynoto's blade but he was oblivious too it. When he saw an opening, Kynoto attacked with the force of a hurricane and his sword snapped. "Oh no, this isn't good," Kynoto said despairingly. Left with no way to defend himself, he relied on his Trianchu. "Blackest dark, Brightest light, send me your power lest I die in this fight, Special Trianchu attack; Kami of Grey World!" Kynoto shouted. Hetilous was taken aback that Kynoto could summon this monster, for it was said that only the legendary Hero of Light could. "That's right Hetilous, I have fused with Kynotoishi and become the Hero of Light again, but I also am the Hero of Darkness, thanks to Kynotoishi's evil. Now die!" The creature was no more then a gray blob with eyes but it had unimaginable power. Hetilous smirked as he closed his eyes and said, "Kynoto Kynoto Kynoto, have you forgotten that I am a demon and that I can control such things as this. Leroish, attack that man over there, it is he that is your enemy." The blob turned on Kynoto who shouted, "What?! Leroish, what are you doing, obey the one who summoned you! Noo!!" Kynoto had been enveloped by the creature and taken to the Grey world. Now no one stood in Knifes way. Hetilous decided to go see how his master was doing and to tell him of the good news. He turned toward Dragon Mountain and flew off to it. |

Chapter 19 The Grey World, the God, and the Sacrifice As Kynoto crossed over into the Grey World, Leroish gave a screech as it spat Kynoto out. As Kynoto hit the ground, he realized that getting to Knifes was going to be much harder now. He had to travel through the Grey World, a place far worse then the deepest reaches of Hell. Demons stronger then Knifes were said to exist here and Kynoto had no sword, but he did have a way of finding an exit near Knifes. Before he was taken into the Kami, he attached a thin piece of wire, invisible to the naked eye, to Hetilous. All he had to do was fallow the other end to an exit near Knifes. Kynoto searched around for the end with little success. Then he spotted it near a dead shrub. He picked it up, it was taught, Helitous was on the move. Kynoto was surprised that he had relatively no demon encounters yet, but he supposed that they were off feeding on some other poor soul that had somehow entered this realm. Soon he came to an exit and the wire had disappeared. He was about to jump into the hole when he sensed something. He ducked as a bird like creature flew over his head. Kynoto looked up to see a Yarinuu, a bird demon, but this one was somehow different, it's feathers were a blackish red instead of a whitish green. Kynoto then remembered what Triasha had said about the Grey World long ago, "The Grey World is a devilish place, a place where demons can increase their powers to unimaginable heights. There is where the Master demons preside as well, I doubt that either of us could last more then a few days in there." This was one of those said demons, but whether it was a Master demon or not was a mystery to Kynoto. The bird took another dive at Kynoto. This time Kynoto was ready, he caught the creature by its beak and slammed it into the ground. "That wasn't too hard, heh," Kynoto jeered. The bird got back up and slashed Kynoto with its talons. Obviously Kynoto was in for bad time for he had no sword to fight with. Kynoto thought fast and mumbled an incantation that would make him a sword to use. In the end, he got a replica of a Shigathian sword, but it was all he needed. "Final attack; Slash of Doom," Kynoto said as his sword pulsated with dark Trianchu. He jumped up over the bird and came down with the force of a boulder, cutting the monster in half. Its black blood spilled all across the ground as Kynoto walked away. Then he sensed something again. He turned around to see the bird halves turn into individual creatures. Kynoto's question had been answered; this was a Master demon and now he had two of them to worry about. They had gotten quicker as well as stronger. Kynoto was helpless as he was caught in a gale like attack that incorporated some kind of spikes inside of the wind for when he was thrown from it he had many cuts on his body. "Two of you know huh? Interesting, heh, well then, lets get it over with. Trianchu attack; Dark Flames of ILerr!" This attack was one of Kynoto's own design. The attack itself was just a basic attack, but it was the after affects that were severely crippling. It caused the target to disintegrate if it was weak enough, but if it was stronger the target would burst into flames so hot that they were black, and would literally be vaporized. As Kynoto's sword came into contact with the birds, they caught fire. This made it so that they couldn't split into four, thus it was effectively destroying it. Kynoto resumed his traveling when he found the exit that he wanted, one that would lead him to Knifes. Hetilous entered the inner chamber of Dragon Mountain and told Knifes of what had transpired and that he had gotten rid of Kynoto. Knifes was happy, for once in a long while. There was no one to oppose him now that Kynoto was gone. Just as he was about to say something to Hetilous, he noticed a single strand of wire hanging off of Hetilous's left elbow. "Hetilous, how did you get the wire on your arm?" Knifes asked "I have no idea My Lord, perhaps it was Kynoto who put it ther...," Hetilous said no more as he was struck down by a Shigathian blade. Knifes looked on in amazement that Kynoto escaped from the Grey World. Kynoto now looked up at Knifes who was now sitting on a throne of dragon bones. He was holding a book in his hands, a book made from human skin; the Necronomicon. "Idiot, I can only bring you back once with this book. Oh well, I no longer need his help," Knifes said as he got off the chair and started to walk down the steps, his footsteps echoing off of the chamber walls. "My dear Kynoto, I am afraid that you should have stayed in the Grey World for it would have been more pleasant then here. This book, the Necronomicon as they call it, has all of the answers Kynoto, all of them. And I have found the spell to break down the last barrier. Now you shall hold witness to the birth of a God Kynoto," Knifes said as the center stone on the Necronomicon's cover opened to reveal an eye. "Mighty Book of the Dead, show me the spell to grant my wish," Knifes whispered to the eye, which spun around several times before the book opened. The pages flapped by rapidly till they came to the page that Knifes was looking for. Knifes picked the book up and, with a smirk, said in the Vampire tongue, “Tcneiq tcnneaeew bxcngsig zcnisqigsnn migcxsmnegq ucnbeg jcncwbsn yciqsnejg pcngievgcx jeisgsi!” The book repeated the phrase but this time Kynoto could understand it, it was converted into his language from Vampire, "Kelosh Kellodoon Nedifla Creltist Welsihstill Asterialoth Xelcot Zelencil Peshilozt Geltsomfiter Zositis!" Knifes laid the book back on the ground then looked up at Kynoto, his eyes in a menacing stare, with an evil smirk, and said the final phrase, “Rfcsigfsg Lcneksj Omepxsn Bekksgnsgj Miaxsmn Acnskfsni Zcnxsgsk!!” the book again repeated the words spoken, “Queistuit Jelofiz Vangril Coffitlitz Asdrial Delifutils Welritif!!” "Now all I need is a sacrifice and I bet you can guess who it will be Kynoto, heheh," Knifes said as he used a teleportation spell. Meanwhile back at Kynoto's house, Naomi was busy in her flower garden when she heard a rustling behind her. As she turned around she saw Knifes. "What do you want? Wasn't Triasha's life enough?!" She screamed. This awoke Rona and Felto. They rushed outside to see a boy trying to kidnap Naomi and went to stop him. When the boy turned around they were amazed at his power. "Eh? Are these those Psyclopires that Kynoto had guarding her? Hahaha, pathetic," Knifes said as he raised his hand to shoulder height and released some of his power. Rona and Felto struggled to stay on the ground as everything around them was blown away. In the end Knifes had to resort to stronger methods. He mumbled something in vampire and Felto realized that this was Knifes. He knew the attack that had been used and he was powerless to stop it, Knifes far surpassed anything that a Psyclopire could conjure. Felto and Rona were covered in a white sticky substance that came from Knifes outstretched hand, dissolving them into nothingness. "Well Naomi, we have some business to attend to else where," Knifes said with a grin as he used another teleportation spell. As they appeared in front of Kynoto, who was shocked, asked, "Why Naomi Knifes?! Why do you need her?!!" "Why? Oh come on Kynoto, I know you have got an imagination, come on and guess!" Knifes interjected. When Kynoto did not answer Knifes said, a hint of disappointment in his voice, "Can't guess huh? Haha, oh well, you weren't the smart one of your family, according to Triasha that is. I need Naomi because of three things. Number one, I need a female sacrifice. Number two, I need a female that knows me, doesn't matter how well she knows me. And lastly, I need her because I need a virgin. Does that answer your question Kynoto?" Knifes asked comically. "Yes, unfortunately, it does. Knifes, I'll say it again, stay this madness. Nothing good can come of it. The Necronomicon was sealed up for a reason, because it is too powerful and too evil. Why, just look at you, it has already start to gain control of you..," Kynoto said as Knifes interrupted him, "The only thing that controls me is me! nothing else!" Knifes yelled. At this point Naomi had awaken. "Oh good, our guest of honor has awoken. Now Kynoto, watch me slay this maiden and truly become a God!" Knifes procured a lethal looking dagger out of thin air and held it to Naomi's neck. "Kynoto do something, please help me!!" She screamed. Kynoto made to save her but Knifes said, "Uh uh uh, not so fast Kynoto. If you even make to make a move to try and save her, I'll cut her heart out. Either way, she will die and there is nothing that you can do to stop me!" Knifes took the dagger and slit her throat as he said this. Her eyes went wide then grew gray as the life drained out of her body. Her blood was now pooling beneath Knifes feet. Then the blood moved in the direction of the Necronomicon, which started to absorb it. All Kynoto could do was watch and wait. As soon as all of the blood had been drain from Naomi's now completely life less body, Knifes cast it aside. The book began to glow now, as it rose off the ground. Then a beam of light was emitted from deep inside the book, it roved around the room until it landed on Knifes. Knifes clothes and hair started to ripple as his power was released "God damn you Knifes, I swear that I will kill you for this sacrilege," Kynoto said, his hate consuming him. This hate, however, was soon replaced by amazement for the strength that Knifes now possessed, but he knew that this was only the begging for the fifth barrier was only cracked. Soon it was broken tough and indeed, Knifes could be compared to a God, his power was so high that Kynoto could not sense it anymore. Then Kynoto sensed something from within Knifes, like another barrier had been broken but that was impossible because everyone who used Trianchu only had five. This new power was almost as strong as Knifes was; the breaking of this one had weakened Knifes enough that Kynoto could sense his power. Kynoto could tell something was not right. Something had happened to Knifes that even Knifes himself had not expected. |

Chapter 20 The Separation Knifes was now hunched over, grabbing his stomach as if he was in great pain. "What's wrong Knifes? Got a problem with your powers?" Kynoto said mockingly. "Please Knifes reconsider this and stay this madness. This will only bring your destruction, you must realize that don't you?" "No Kynoto, I will not. This was all predetermined; it is my fate, my destiny to destroy the world, even if it would cost me my own life. I won't let a mere being like the Hero of Light stop me!" Knifes yelled as he stood straight up, his pain evidently gone and his power restored. His eyes had gone black though, and his aura turned black as well. Kynoto knew that this was the dark side of Knifes, the side that would hear no reason and only believed in destruction. "Now Hero of Light, kneel before your God," Knifes ushered as he snapped his fingers. Kynoto moved against his will, kneeling to Knifes, but he did not do it without some struggling, but every time he resisted, a blackness surged through his body, causing him great pain, forcing him down further and further till he was kneeling. "Very good Kynoto, now prepare for you ultimate demise, one that not even you can come back from! Special attack, Death's Despair!" Knifes power seemed to encircle Knifes and grasp him, as if were an invisible hand that was squeezing the life out of Kynoto. Kynoto muttered something and his powers tripled. This allowed him to free himself from the attack. "What was that?!" Kynoto said in a mystified voice, "Ahh, I know now, I was about to pass out and Kynotoishi came to the surface and gave me his Vampiric powers, hehe." Knifes was astounded at this new power that Kynoto possessed. Kynoto was almost as strong as him. "Special attack; Kutsomuni!" Knifes yelled. A colorless orb of Trianchu appeared above Kynoto. As it descended, Kynoto could sense the power of it. Kynoto was no longer bound by Knifes but he found that he could not move out of the way of the orb. As it came into contact with Kynoto he felt a feeling that he knew well, one that he hoped not to feel for a long time, it was the feeling of dying. Soon Kynoto was completely in the orb and he could tell that Knifes was planning to kill him. He was feeling an unbearable pain, as if he was about to be turned in side out, but he remembered his vampiric powers, "Power of Absorption!" Kynoto cried. The orb was assimilated into him, but this attack had done its job. Kynoto was severely weakened and therefore he could not use his powers effectively. Knifes was now ready to get rid of Kynoto for good then Kynoto did something that was not expected. He got up and said, "Secret Art; Trianchu Jitsu forbidden attack; Seven Seals of Heaven, Seven Angels of Earth!" He formed the seals of Angel, Heaven, God, Earth, Hell, destruction, Darkness, Forbidden Angel, and the most astonishing one the seal of damnation. The ground and sky split open and seven beings flew out of each rift. "Haha, now it is time to decide Knifes, will you let your soul be cleansed or will you face eternal damnation in Hell? It is for you to decide," Kynoto said, a slight smirk creeping on his face. "What the hell is this? Well, seeing that I have two choices, I will chose.....neither, haha. Seals, Angels; you decide for me, you shall chose my fate," Knifes shouted at the fourteen figures around him. Kynoto was flabbergasted at his choice, for they would surely chose to banish Knifes. The fourteen spoke as one, just like the fates, as they gave Knifes his answer, "We have decided that a child's life is important, therefore we will cleanse your soul." Kynoto was surprised to say the least. There was a blinding white flash as the fourteen swirled around Knifes, cleansing his soul completely. When they disappeared, Kynoto saw the Knifes that he knew standing in front of him. "Kynoto?! What happened to you?! You have wounds all over your body!" Knifes yelled in confusion as he passed out. 'Heh, he doesn’t remember a thing, well its better that way,' Kynoto thought. He picked up Knifes and was getting ready to leave when he heard something moving in the darkness. He turned to see the Necronomicon floating in the air chanting something in vampire, “Twskci mxsic, mxsic, mxsic, Twskci mxsic, mxsic, mxsic, Twskci mxsic, mxsic, mxsic. Twkci, mxsic mwa dcbevc yfxcnh cosn, cosn, cosn, mxsic mwa dcbevc bevyncgcnh cosn. Thwege hef’xc gsvc zsnn bevc; Twskci hef’xc iswi yxegcbg vc, wz mxsie Twskci, mxsic mwa dcbevc bevyncgcnh cosn. Qcxc gqc Deet ek gqc Acma’I bmnn mwa mxsic!” Kynoto understood every word of it and he didn't like it one bit. Now the book chanted the same thing, but in his language. "Knifes arise, arise, arise, Knifes arise, arise, arise, Knifes arise, arise, arise. Knifes, Arise and become purely evil, evil, evil, arise and become evil, completely evil. Kynoto; your time will come, Knifes; your sins protect me, now arise Knifes, arise and become completely evil. Hear the Book of the Dead's call and arise!" Knifes unconscious form stirred and Kynoto dropped him. As Knifes got up to his feet Kynoto saw what he had feared. The Necronomicon had revived the evil part of Knifes, despite Kynoto's spiritual seals. The book was just too evil, so evil that nothing could stand in its way. Knifes, as Kynoto saw, was not really awake but in a trance and he was now floating over a pentagram. Kynoto tried to save Knifes but a barrier had formed around the pentagram. The book continued to chant as it floated off the ground and towards Knifes. As the Necronomicon floated into the area of the pentagram, it lit up and pulsated with power. It was now that Kynoto realized what was going to happen, the Necronomicon was going to fuse itself with Knifes, creating a true God with the power to destroy everything with a wave of a finger. Kynoto tried to get into the pentagram again but this time it forced him back with a shock of what appeared to be Trianchu. Kynoto lay on the ground, smoking a little, as he contemplated the event that was about to occur. As he got back to his feet he witnessed the final fusion of the Necronomicon with Knifes and the power generated by this was indescribable. The pentagram dissipated and Knifes landed back on the ground, his eyes glowing with power. "Knifes no!!!" Kynoto yelled. Knifes looked at him and waved his hand at him. Kynoto crashed into the wall behind him, which caused a crack to form in the wall that went to the upper reaches of the room. Kynoto was bleeding heavily from his mouth and nose but he managed to get back up to his feet. Knifes, in less the half a second, appeared in front of Kynoto. He stuck his hand into Kynoto's chest, searching for his heart and said, "You, Hero of Light, you have no power. Now die." Kynoto felt Knifes hand tighten like a vice around his heart, squeezing the life from him. "Knifes, I..I'm sorry, b...but it is for you own good," Kynoto whispered through gasps for air. "Special Forbidden attack; Tsukiyomi- The Underworld Moon." Time slowed down to almost a stand still and Knifes was fastened to a white X. Kynoto appeared and thrust his sword into Knifes side. Knifes blacked out and when he awoke he saw himself on the X and two Kynoto's. As the two swords entered the second Knifes, Knifes felt the pain as if it was happening to him. This went on until there were one hundred Knifes and two hundred Kynoto's. As Knifes felt this pain, time sped up again and he realized that he was not wounded. It was all in his mind yet he still felt the pain. Knifes was getting ready to obliterate Kynoto when he felt something trying to get out of him. Kynoto saw a bump appear on his back. Knifes released Kynoto's heart and fell back wards as he was split in half. What would happen next would stun Kynoto, for he had never seen anything of the sort before. The final battle is truly upon Knifes now, and Kynoto is too injured to help him. The fate of the world now rests on Knifes shoulders. He will either destroy it or save it, but none can tell what the outcome will be. |
