Each and every character in the site is assumed to have training in the martial arts and there for is capable of fighting hand to hand, however, these characters have no mastery of it nor can they do super human feats (Unless a custom power deems otherwise).
Fighting Against Weapons
- Attacks are all attempts and therefore are not certain to hit or even to take effect if you are stopped earlier in your post
- Bows are effective at keeping your enemies at bay but they can not be targeted at vital points they are shot at the body of the opponent and therefore killing blows with bows are only limited to point blank shots or they are filled with enough arrows that it is clear that the person cannot still be alive
- Swords and axes are deemed equal in power however, they are able to out skill each other if you have the ability to do so.
- Weapons are able to counter other blows and even deflect arrows but they cannot withstand blows of higher power
- Shields are resilient against attacks and therefore can withstand even the strongest of blows, However if a shield is hit by a more powerful attack then the shield barer must take some kind of penalty based on the difference in power ie staggering or dropping the shield to the attack breaking the opponents arm.
- Throwing weapons can be thrown up to five feet for the full bonus but loose 5% power for each five feet further
- Shields can be used to attack opponents but will be beaten back by a stronger attack since shields provide no bonus to attacks.
- Arrows are fired at quite a speed but still can be dodged but the archer can fire arrows faster than you can move so at times it maybe beneficial to block/deflect arrows rather than dodge

Magic in combat
- Magic is used to gain advantage in any form of combat they can be used at range or close up and hit as fast as a dagger would at close range regardless of the distance traveled.
- Magic being fast is difficult to dodge by normal means and therefore are more likely to hit than other attacks especially up close. This means that players must keep in mind that magic can not be dodged again and again similar to arrow except faster
- Elements naturally over power other elements and therefore are capable of overpowering attacks at equal PL the cycle goes as such fire<water<earth<air<fire
- Healing attacks require full concentration to perform and therefore can be interrupted and if that happens the spell must be started again, if over half the time taken for a spell has passed and then interrupted before the end the wound moves down a category regrowth-to-major major-to-minor

NPC or Player fights
- Fights against other players are not to kill
- Fights against NPC's are unless stated otherwise
- Fights against other players awards 1%PL per 100 words upon completion (+10% For those under 1000PL) and gain 10% of the looser's PL
- Fights against NPC's do not gain word count but yield a % of the combined enemies PL as well as a monetary reward (Some fights may offer bonus rewards also)
