There he was taught many things but the thing that he enjoyed the most was combat training. He was a skilled fighter and eager to learn more so he was trained by some of the greatest fighters there were in that area. Soon, however, he surpassed them or they could not teach him anything else. He heard tell of a group of elves who fancied themselves ‘freedom fighters’ so he signed up and they were off. His journey took him to many places he hadn’t been before from the vast grasslands of Rohan to the murky Fangorn forest. He met and fought many dangerous foes; some more deadly than others but Curro’s team of fighter were always prepared and so eventually prevailed. His adventure led him to a forest clearing, they had been travelling for many days solidly so they decided to make the most of the clearing and get some rest. What they did not count on was the ambush that had been set up around that clearing. It was the only clearing for ages so a band of orcs had set up multiple traps there. With savage war cries they attack the group from all sides; pinning them into a tight group in the centre of the clearing. Several of the group fell defending their friends but the rest put up a fierce fight. Curro was fighting alongside one of group who he had become close friends with. Suddenly a large Urukai walked out of the trees. 7ft tall he stood with touch plate armour covering him. A sword thrust was all it took to severe the friendship bond Curro and his friend had. Yelling at the top of his lungs he charged the monster, cutting at him with such ferocity that he fell back. Two arrows struck Curro in the shoulder forcing him back. This gave the Urukai just enough time to slice down Curro’s arm; leaving a scar an inch wide and ran from his middle knuckle to his elbow. The orcs and the Urukai ran back into the forest and vanished from view. Wincing as he got up off the floor he turned and saw that the rest of the group had been slaughtered and left there to rot away. Looking at the way the orcs had run he noticed several tracks that meant they would be easy to follow. He then proceeded to dress his wounds and salvage as much from what was left. He buried all of his fallen comrades and planted an acorn at the head of each mound. Hopefully they would grow into large trees and stop the clearing being used for evil purposes. Moving on he followed the orcs cross country yet somehow they always seemed to remain ahead of him. He caught the odd orc that had fallen behind yet the main body of the band of orcs still soldiered on. This continued for days on end until he finally caught up with them. He knew he couldn’t attack them by himself so he rallied together a group of free fighters. This was a larger group than he was previously in so he was confident they would be victorious. During the night them attacked the band of orcs and slaughtered them all on sight. The Urukai put up a fierce fight taking out several of the group by himself. He could not, however, fight off the entire group alone so eventually he fell. Driving the orc’s spears into the ground spike up they hung the orcs up off the ground and set them on fire so that they would never ruin the earth again as their ashes would float across the lands. Curro then left the group as he fought better alone. He wandered the lands killing anything that disturbed the peace. He joined many groups of fighters and led many others. He became quite well known but he was never happy; there was always something missing in his life. What it was, only time would tell. Edited by Kieran, Mar 30 2012, 09:35 PM.
