Fortunately, ranking up all skills except combat, warfare, and command grant research points to the faction. Unique Trait: Research Dependent, In order for Field Engineers to learn many of their skills, the associated technology must first be unlocked. Skills: Lvl 5 - Combat, Core Repair, Grey Powderworks Lvl 6 - Wheel Mech Repair, Elemental Alchemy Lvl 7 - Limb Mech Repair, Barrier Metalworking Lvl 8 - Gun Warfare, Gun Mech Repair, Yeastling Care Lvl 9 - Flight Mech Repair, Protection Suit Maintinence Lvl 10 - Advanced Warfare, Transmuter, Dwarf Mech Repair Lvl 11 - None Lvl 12 - Master Craftsman Lvl 13 - None Lvl 14 - Command Lvl 15 - Alchemical Technocraft Combat - Field Engineers often need to fight, this skill increases their ability to do so. Higher ranks make the character better in combat. Core Repair - Magichanocores aren't exactly the most reliable things, and the frequently need repair, in which case Field Engineers are generally the best ones for the job. This skill allows the character to use tools, spare parts, and materials to fix broken Magichanocores. Higher ranks increase the speed and efficiency at which the cores can be repaired, and eventually allow for improvements to be made. Grey Powderworks - Grey Powder is an incredibly interesting material, the properties of which have not fully been explored, something Field Engineers are often charged with fixing. This skill allows the character to make various potions and materials using Grey Powder, which can have vastly varied effects. Higher ranks give more knowlege in how Grey Powder works, allowing for more elaborate recipes involving it. Wheel Mechanism Repair - Wheel mechanisms work by directing the energy and motion of Magichanocores into spinning wheels. All mechanisms tend to break down at times, and need to be fixed up for continued functioning. This skill allows the character to repair these mechanisms using tolls, spare parts, and raw materials. Higher ranks increase how fast and effectively this can be done, and eventually allows for upgrades to be added. Elemental Alchemy - Water, Earth, Air, Fire, these elements form to core of various potions and materials created through elemental alchemy. This skill allows the character to make and use elemental-attuned Grey Powder to make potions with effects based on the primary and secondary elements they contain. Higher ranks increases the effectiveness of said potions. Limb Mechanism Repair - Limb Mechanisms use Magichanocores to move appendages resembling mechanical versions of giant instectoid legs. All mechanisms tend to break down at times, and need to be fixed up for continued functioning. This skill allows the character to repair these mechanisms using tolls, spare parts, and raw materials. Higher ranks increase how fast and effectively this can be done, and eventually allows for upgrades to be added. Barrier Metalworking - Barrier Metal is created by refining the byproducts of Grey Powder production, and it extremely resistant to absorbing magical energy, making it quite useful, more so if applied in inventive ways. This skill increases the character's ability to make, use, and combine things with Barrier Metal, in order to achieve useful effects. Higher ranks increase the ability to work with the material. Gun Warfare - Guns are in Fastis to stay, and learning how to effectively fight with them will be key to future victories, or so gun experts say. This skill increases the character's ability to aim, reload, and generally fight with guns. Gun Mechanism Repair - A bit more complicated mechanism that uses Magichanocores to fire and reload guns. All mechanisms tend to break down at times, and need to be fixed up for continued functioning. This skill allows the character to repair these mechanisms using tolls, spare parts, and raw materials. Higher ranks increase how fast and effectively this can be done, and eventually allows for upgrades to be added. Yeastling Care - Yeastlings are considered cute by some, abominations by others, but either way they require a bit of doing to get them set on a task, not to mention making sure they don't dissolve. This skill increases the character's ability to create, direct, maintain, and strengthen Yeastlings. Higher ranks make the character more skilled at doing so. Flight Mechanism Repair - Lightweight and compact, Flight Mechanisms spin a number of propellers at rapid speeds to cause flight! All mechanisms tend to break down at times, and need to be fixed up for continued functioning. This skill allows the character to repair these mechanisms using tolls, spare parts, and raw materials. Higher ranks increase how fast and effectively this can be done, and eventually allows for upgrades to be added. Protection Suit Maintinence - The workings of Protection Suits are hardly simple, and it takes a skilled individual to use and maintain one through numerous battles. This skill allows the character to use Protection Suits, and increases their ability to repair and maintain these suits. Higher ranks increase said ability and allow for the suit and gas delivery mechanisms to be improved. Advanced Warfare - New technology means new ways to fight, be this by throwing potions or using the latest mechanical weapon. This skill increases the character's ability to fight using new and untested potions or pieces of technology. Higher levels increase the effect. Transmuter - Transmutation is an old art, but recent advancement in Alchemy has increased the rate and effectiveness at which it can be done, and even allowed the previously impossible task of transmuting living flesh to stone and metal. This skill allows the character to transmute a variety of substances into other substances, and even living flesh into non-living materials. Higher ranks increase the speed and efficiency of transmutation. Dwarf Mechanism Repair - A highly advanced mechanism, it allows creation of a functioning humanoid using machines and clockwork, which can then carry out simple tasks. All mechanisms tend to break down at times, and need to be fixed up for continued functioning. This skill allows the character to repair these mechanisms using tolls, spare parts, and raw materials. Higher ranks increase how fast and effectively this can be done, and eventually allows for upgrades to be added. Master Craftsman - A Field Researcher often takes such pride in their work that they push themselves above and beyond to perfect their works. This skill increases the quality of all things produced by the character. Higher ranks increase the effect. Command - Field Researchers aren't the idea canidates for military positions, but it isn't a totally bad idea. This skill gives your character troops under their command, higher ranks granting promotions and thus more troops. Notify an Admin if you plan on getting this skill so the proper RP circumstances can be established. Alchemical Technocraft - Your character combines the arts of alchemy and technology to create an Alchemical Engine with unique and powerful properties. Higher ranks improve the Alchemical Engine invented. Note all technologies must be unlocked for this skill to be learned. Tips: -Your character should own and regularly carry a set of tools to use for either repair or alchemy. -This character can be developed into a potent fighter should you choose. -Remember that the associated technology must be unlocked before you can learn the skill.
