More Exaltations

Same as the monster thread. We need a few more Exaltations.

The ones discussed in the 4chan threads are Power Ring, Magical girl/boy, and Lich.

The idea for a Power Ring that had the most backing it appeared was a modified Chosen. Lich would be a little more unique and Magical girl/boy (hereafter called Mahou) is even more difficult to concept.

This thread will be for concepting these and other Exalts as they come up.

Try reading past the first page. Wellspring covers your magical girl/boy fetish. Lich is a retextured Promethean, just add Undead trait. Lantern is a reskinned Chosen, no homebrew necessary.

We also have a Symbiote and several alternate Werewolves, plus no small number of dead ideas. Just look PAST page 1, we don't have a master sticky.

Wellspring is a good one. The others I'm not to sure of. I'd prefer actual Exalts with their own feel, rather than just 'Drop this, add that' to existing Exalts.

Alternate Werewolves are meant to give you a different flavor to the same Werewolf. If you're playing a Werebear, you're STILL playing a Were, still servant of Luna, just not necessarily wolf. They don't count as different Exaltations, but different approaches to the same Exaltation.

I'm always willing to make a new Exaltation for you, but I need to know what you want from it and what its purpose should be. Once I have that down, I can make one in a couple of days, usually.

Lich: Undead by magic, uses it's powers to beef it's innate resilience and magic, gun kata/sword style attacks (or just it's generic atacks if you're a peasant). Power is Undead Might, resource is Phylactery or Soul Slivers.

User: Power is Will, resorce stat it Poses. Basically you become JoJo.

Mahou: Slight alteration to Wellspring, or not. It works pretty well.

Power Ring: Chosen works, just need assets for it. Then again we need more Chosen Assets anyway due to the second books expansion on alignment...

And of course if you have any suggestions they are always appreciated!

As far as Power Ring and Mahou are concerned, we already have them covered. I have no knowledge of Jojo, so there's very little I could tell you about it.

As far as Lich goes, I'd just say 'go Wraith', only instead of going Umbra to recover Resource, you need to be close to your Phylactery. Or you could go Promethean and have your cake and eat it too. On a disagreeing note; why should being a Lich increase innate resilience and magic any more than being an Exalt would? Liches are rather frail (them being nothing but skeletons covered in rags, mostly) and their main danger is not even their magic (regardless of how good they might be at it) but the fact they've had centuries to plan, back-up plan and back-up back-up plan. And also; having magical powers is a prerequisite to becoming a Lich, not a side-effect from it. Unless, of course, you have a different source material on Liches than me. Though, maybe a life-absorbing ability (such as the Vampire's natural attack) would be cool to have.

Not to mention that Liches pop up in the back of 1.6, where it says they're definitely not exalts. So yeah, altering Wraith/Vampire seems best.

Though I am working on an "Immortal" exalt, which would include phylactery-based immortality as an Asset choice. What is it exactly you'd want from a Lich?

...Eh, may as well toss in my own ideas. I'm still occasionally trying to spitball for a "Nephilim" exalt, though I'll admit I'm kinda stuck on the "one who is fallen" definition and consequentially fluff dealing with the War of Monster's Fall and Syrne that "fell" into service of the Aboleth. Tried to use the third Solaroid as a base (Atlanteans are Solars, Daemonhosts are Abyssals, Nephilim would be Infernals), didn't take too well.

Other idea was a Lovecraftian... reverse xeno-exalt, as it were. Not so much a mortal exalted to something greater and slowly gaining more power, as a gribbly alien tentacle-beast from beyond the stars forced into mortal form, and fluffed as regaining power. An "Outsider," so to speak, kinda like the Raksha of Exalted.

Truth be told, we do have most types of 'immortal super-being' down pat. An edit here, a twist there, you got it all down. Out of curiosity, how would you go to make a Superman Exalt? We already have Batman (Paragon) and Green Lantern (Wellspring), so what about a Superman?

A Superman exalt? Came up with some ideas, but I couldn't finish up the crunch for it. Basically the sentient star Rao went supernova, sending portions of its power across space in the form of pheonixes who would bond with people they found worthy. These Kryptonian exalted would start with super strength and toughness before developing flight and hamon beams. As they grow in power the branding on thier chest glows brighter. Thier assets would refer to specific Brandings, such as El, Grey or Vulkan.

As for Users, I played with the idea that someone's warp presence would be strong enough to let them manifest thier soul into realspace. As thier power is syncronized to mental state, just being true to yourself and being a good friend to others can make it stronger.

Help stating these would be great.
