I don't suppose Superman might fall under the banner of Oskar's Aberrant, by any chance? A starting point, at least?

And while we're discussing exalts based on specific characters, how about Lucy? Or Prof X, Jean Grey... the psyker exalt, basically. It irks me that Mind-Hand Manipulation is locked behind a "dead guy" exaltation, can we brainstorm a Para-Psyker exalt that doesn't default to "use magic slightly differently"?

Also on the brain, I've been dividing up my old Nephilim into... well, for want of better descriptions, a more NGE-inspired "Demiurge" with lots of Qabbalistic influence (general fluff is, you've somehow gotten a device meant to generate a crystal sphere inside you and you can use its power) and a more Claymore-esque Nephilim, with the idea that you've got some gribbly's flesh and blood tied up in your own system, half mortal and half monster. Both have transhuman themes, the Demiurge aspiring to a sort-of-Gnostic divine ascension, the Nephilim doing... something rather less than wholesome, was going to weave in the Diclonius and some more Infernal ideals for that. Could use additional input, there?

I have also had ideas for a Dvati exalt, with the idea of twins being Special, but never got much further than an idea about exaltation assets having two benefits each with each character in the pair only gaining one of them (idea was, you'd have two players each using a character with the exaltation, which would require them to take the same exaltation asset). There was also a "Chronomancer," which I ended up tossing because the only applications I could think of for an exalt that mucks around with time involved bending action economy over its knee... and resource points that invert when used and couldn't be recovered without spending those inverted points to take penalties.

I really like the "Psionic" exalt idea, and that was what I thought of when you mentioned an exalt based on the War of Monster's Fall. There's certainly a precedent in other RPGs of having the super-special psionic guy, much like the Dragonblooded. Definitely something I'd include in games, as a player and as a GM.

I'll see what I can brainstorm for a Psyker Exalt, most likely I'll give him some generic Telepath/Telekinetic abilities (manipulate items from a distance, Hive Mind, use extrasensory senses) and then build up from there.

On the Demiurge; Considering that Crystal Spheres are, in fact, another name for Galaxy and are referred to as such because the space you'd have to cross to get from one another manifests as a Crystal Sphere in the Warp (it's how Humans travelled the Spheres before they got their hands on Warp Tech in some planets), I'd say it's hard to get an item that generates a Crystal Sphere inside you. However, there could be Syrne artifacts with similar effects (subspace generators turned to eleven, for example) or even ancient tomes that grant knowledge on how to create a demiplane that only the user may access. Or even an Atlantean who, thanks to some quirk of fate, awakened... different... from the others. Also, the Claymore-esque Nephilim sounds awesome, but could get complicated due to the sheer number of possible abilities. My Daemonblooded Exaltation (which I can't recall if I've posted here) might help in that regard, at least as a possible alternate way of settling things.

The Dvati Exalt could be good if both twins were PCs, but hard to use otherwise. But the Chronomancer... would love to see that one, even if it's scrapped.

Oh, right, somehow got to thinking of them more like the ones from Spelljammer. Either way, it's presented as a muted effect from the full generator; it's basically to be designed around the Territory power you had issue with in the old Nephilim writeup. The Angels' AT Field, following (mostly) some cues from Adeptus Evangelion, where the Demiurge is I Am.

Regardless of relevance to crystal spheres at large, I'm still calling the generators being used "jewel seeds," to go in theme. <w<;;

Dvati would be two players controlling two halves of the same exalt (sane version) or one player controlling two characters (not so much). I just... couldn't think of much in the way of actual powers for it.

Chronomancer was, I'll admit, a half-baked idea coming fresh off Blades of Time; power stat would be Slipstream, representing how divorced you are from the primary timestream, with Ticks derived from that as your resource stat. When spent, Ticks would become Tocks, which can only be used to provide inverted effects or to reverse powers you spent Ticks to activate. Which would include things like traveling back in time to help yourself do something (spend Ticks equal to the number of rounds the time-clone will be around, one Tock reverts each round, max number of clones equal to Slipstream, and all copies disappear at the end of the duration), speeding up your personal time flow (using Ticks) to do more during a turn at the cost of going into stasis (spending Tocks while doing nothing) later, and locking people into changed-time bubbles for a lark. Blades of Time Ayumi meets Teferi, basically.

I could see it would turn into a bookkeeping nightmare at the least, if only because the player would have to keep track of which Tocks came from Ticks spent on powers (which would revert only under the conditions of those powers) and which ones came from general resource spending (only reverts by inversion or letting them convert back over time as the timestream "forgets" what you did), as well as having to track your own actions multiple times over up to five turns in advance. Then you get into what having multiple copies of yourself in play does to action economy (hint: not friendly), especially when each of them may be capable of using Haste/Slow or Time Stop...

More randomness!

Psycho exalt, anyone? More powerful as you gain Madness, gaining powers fueled by raw Mania. Derp.

Also, allow me to request another undead exalt... not a lich, not a Wraith, another flesh-and-void-of-blood solid undead thing. In fact, could make a general "corporeal dead thing that isn't a Vampire" exalt and use assets to split out Ghuls and Liches and Death Knights, yes?

I think Vampires and Wraiths are enough undead for now. Let's stop and think of something that no other Exaltation can do, and make an Exaltation out of it. I already wrote Kryptonians, which covered what I felt could be done for a powerhouse of energy with the vague powers of life. Right now I'm stuck thinking of what hasn't been done yet, and you're all welcome to join the discussions on 4chan.

You do understand this thread's for spitballing, right? Just because you don't want another rotten meat exalt now doesn't mean someone else won't have an idea or two waiting around.

As an aside, you might want to go over your lore with a fine-toothed comb, way too many direct references to a single thing. Note: Daxamites have very similar lore and powersets, it's not just Kryptonians. Recommended: Find a more neutral name for the exalt, one that carries less obvious clout than "Kryptonian," and use that. Make the lore however similar you like, just try to expunge more of the "THIS IS SUPERMAN" stuff.

Try pulling from some IRL myths, too, plenty of godlings to go around. Herakles (yes, even the Disney version), Gilgamesh and Indra work here. From your DCU fixation, add in Sodam Yat, an example of the aforementioned Daxamites.

EDIT: On that note, pulling together a centralized list for those of us who don't like wandering past the first page.

Aberrant (T.G. Oskar) - Lacks assets, appears to be a dead thread, seems solid otherwise.
Daemonblooded (Soulblazer_87) - Also lacks assets, inactive. Was talk of plundering for other purposes.
Wellspring (T_A, assets by Mallow) - Magical girl/Kamen Rider exalt. Simple updates to bring it to current line in the newest post.
Incarnate (Mallow) - Alternate take on the Wellspring. Bit confusing, for my tastes.
Nephilim (Eisenritter) - My own... less than stellar attempt at an Infernal-esque exalt. Currently in the process of breaking it down for parts.
Symbiote (Zed, assets by Eisenritter) - Revitalized old thread in attempt to bring it to current standards. Would very much like to truly make it my own, but I can't honestly see enough wrong to be buggered enough to change it.
Alternate Werewolves (Soulblazer_87) - Note that this ISN'T a standalone exaltation, but alternate features for variety in an existing one (also, gets rid of a crappy power that isn't worth 5 dots in your power stat to get). Can be used as a springboard for other ideas too similar to existing exalts to stand alone.

I agree with your criticisms, and feel I was being too harsh. I'll look at what I can do for the lore on a later date. Kryptonian is a mouth full anyway.
To add to the previous conversation, I think Chronomancers can work. It is an interesting concept for sure.

...Okay, that's two, guess I'll put up what I have for Chronomancers when I dig up the notes again. :P

I thought it would be a good idea to list my sources for the lore. It's not all Superman, even though he is clearly a major contributor. I would put this on the Kryptonian thread, but that would be like telling the punch line of a joke first. May add it there later.

Sources:
Kryptonians, Krypton, and Kryptonians = Superman
Rao Invictus and the betrayl = Unconquered Sun from Exalted
Life Ripple and fighting undead = Hamon/Ripple from JoJo
Phoenixes = Phoenix Force from X-Men
Brands = Everything previously mentioned plus Vulkan He'stan

I couldn't steal anything from mythology, but I sure as hell robbed from pop culture.
