...Uh, yeah, I did mention that's where my train of thought went...

Idea; instead of the regular 'Fire, Water, Wood, Earth' elements, introduce Origins -that is, where this power comes from. It would more fit the 'reluctant hero' vibe I get. Imagine the 'angst', so to speak, of someone who has no choice but to use the power he/she despises due to its origin, solely to survive. So, I'm thinking an axis of 'Celestia/Daemonic/Lawful/Chaos/Unaffiliated' would be good.

...Welp. I had a thought, that thought was "C'tan," and it ended up taking the Nephilim with it...

[DATA EXPUNGED]

So, I ended up injecting a bit of the Anti-Spiral here; in case fluff is written at a later date, the "Pariah Gene" is a genetic key that makes someone susceptible to data implantation from a dormant C'tan. Basically, the C'tan may be out of the fight (for now), but they can still put their own dogs in the ring, damn it!

Oh, and "Great Devourers" seems to be in reference to the C'tan...

Now crossposted.

The C'Tan thing is a bit too straightforward (not that the less of the game is NOT straightforward), but maybe C'Thul? Just for the Cthulhu mythos-fans out there? Beyond that, love it. Want it added to The Collective?

C'tan are already part of the game's mythos, this is just the first exalt anyone's tried attaching to them. So the Stuff of Nightmares/full-body Necrodermis thing clears, then?

Oh, and it might be a good idea to not pothole something in The List unless it's got its own thread up. As an example, I updated the Phoenix AEF in its own thread, but not here; having both linked would be confusing.

If it would help, I can also stop dropping my drafts in these "More [X]" threads and just chuck them up in their own. ^_^;;

Necrodermis thing is... a bit OP; you'd need to receive at LEAST 3 Critical damage to die, in one round, provided you don't also spend Resources to heal. Which could elevate that to 8 Wounds. In the case of a Thri-Kreen or a Minotaur, who have both more places to land a hit as well as huge size (and therefore Resilience), that damage would be very, very hard to reach (especially since most of that damage needs to be delivered to only one area, otherwise it just debuffs). Maybe the benefits of a Necrodermis skin graft? A bit enhanced because it's full-body, or you have better interface with it? Sounds a bit more reasonable (especially since the Necron Pariahs are actually easier to kill than Necrontyr). But other than that, it's pretty awesome.

Also, yeah, we need to move everything out of the 'More X' threads and into their own, if nothing but for easier browsing.

...We have rules for artifact skin grafts? O_o

Using Voidskin as a substitute now.

Kreen don't actually have more body locations than anything else, and they're only Size 4. :$

Also, Necron Pariahs aren't actually a thing anymore. Blame Matt Ward; I just took a bit from the Anti-Spiral and looked to Oldcrons for a name for it. :P

We could MAKE rules for Skin Grafts >.>

Maybe if at the start of a round, the character could choose any location of the body and insta-heal 5 Wounds? Or divide the healing to various locations? Still pretty good, still makes the character very hard to kill, and it's not THAT game-breaking when you get Stuff of Nightmares on top of it. I just feel that, what essentially amounts to 'you only have 3 seconds to kill me, else I heal' is a bit too much. A more... tame version would still make the character hard to kill, just a bit less.

If we add the Paragon's extra arms, they would take location range from the Body.

Matt Ward... Right, can we shoot him?

Right, so, went with the Voidskin, which shouldn't be as much of a problem unless the SM decides artifact Voidskin counts as armor or applies the material bonus to your natural weapons or something...
