In most of our AEFs, we've kept the Resource mechanics identical to what was already there (unless I'm being mistaken). I'd like that to continue, as a personal peeve, nothing more, if but to make AEFs easier to reach. If we change something as integral to an AEF as it's Resource mechanics, then it's not an alternative to an already-existing Exaltation, but a whole-new Exaltation in and of itself. Which, of course is not bad -quite the opposite, it's awesome. Though, again, that might just be me -and I'm well known to be bat-shit loco. So take my words with a bit of salt, yeah? |

Edited Entombed Vizier to clarify that the distinction is entirely cosmetic. |

Seeing as three of the altered features here are cosmetic changes, I've added a functional one. Distortion Drive replaces Feeding for the Nephilim, leaving Pariah Gene as the primary means of healing Torment. EDIT: Also added a second image. Edited by Eisenritter, Jun 3 2015, 01:49 AM.

And another potential Malefactor Nephilim, accompanied by Geth under his thrall. Though it may be a good idea to withhold this one pending not-Turians being made... |

I thought of something. Since Distortion Drive makes you immune to Perils, what's stopping someone from pushing their spells all the time? Disortion Drive takes away the risk of overdoing it with your spellcasting. Granted, the Mark of Tzeentch does too, but with better justification. Entombed Vizier makes it so that your Spells are all super-science (and have nothing to do with the Warp), so why would Perils happen at all? |

Mark of Tzeentch does it to represent the protection of the god of magic. If I recall correctly, you've answered your own question, though you've missed out on the necessary factor that making them just not happen would be a worse absolute to deal with here. |

What if you couldn't keep exploded dice at all on spellcasting? It has obvious benefits (no Perils or Phenomena to worry about) and drawbacks (no extra power to draw from the Warp). Something like that would make Nephilim more unique, if anything. EDIT: I'm just spitballing ideas. The Nephilim is fine as it is, but something like this would make for a cool change of pace. Removed extraneous fluff, marked cosmetic changes in the top list and removed those as well. Total changes are in green. |
