so the proposed monsters from last thread were... Ocatroc xorn purple worm metroid the Daedra Chokers Creepers owlbears bearowls big daddies and little sisters mimic gelatinous cube Tarrasque antlions Xenomorph Deamon Prince Space Squid/Octopus Owlbear Eldar(in) Harlequin Ripper Whip(Dark Heresy, Creatures Anathema, page 39) Grue Squig/Greater Squig Cranium Rats Slaad Broos Walktapus Djiini Terminators Cactaur Worm that Walks Predator Invisible Stalkers Nuckalavee Grell Beholders tribbles Banshee velociraptor/yoshi (suggestion from threads regarding Grues reads as followed "And for the person who disagreed with grues, I think grues are distinct in that they are unknowable. If anyone could see them, they are not there. If you light the basement, the Grue is no longer in it. That also means that either darkvision removes all Grues (super boring), or darkvision doesn't work in darkness containing a Grue") I thought it was interesting as a concept so I copied it over from there now comes the fun/tedious part, putting fluff-n-crunch to the names on the list |

Good job. The creatures and NPCs available in the first book are a good source to reference and build others from when running sessions, but as pointed out were terribly outdated statistically due to not being updated with the changes to crunch beyond slapping a resilience number on them. This has been a faithful update to the new rules, although there is one entry I wonder if we should change somewhat: Dragons. The Dragon Entry from the first book predates the Dragon-Blooded exaltation from the second book, and due to this does not have a Resource stat. It seems to me like Dragons should get the Breath resource stat to make them more in line with what they are. After all, just being related to a Dragon is enough to make one an Exalt, surely being a full Dragon should be even greater. Perhaps level x 5 instead of x2 like Dragon-blooded have for their maximum Breath. This might not be the correct thread for this though, since as was pointed out this is just a faithful update to old entries to make them in line with the crunch. |

Looking good. I did notice an issue in this thread and the thread for new monsters however, in the entries for the elementals. Elementals all possess the Amorphous Trait. In addition to giving them only one "hit zone," Amorphous has the effect of doubling hitpoints. Thus rather than having 12 hitpoints, they would have 24 based on the new way hitpoints are calculated and their trait. I also noticed that in the PDF posted, their stats have changed as well, giving them 2 con but 5 willpower rather than the 3 in both they had in the original book. I'm not certain if that was purposeful, but I thought I would point it out. If it is on purpose, that would put their hitpoints at 28. |

Dragon HP doubled per unnatural toughness trait, which I seriously thought no monster actually had, but apparently I just don't pay attention. |
