Feats: Card Throw You may use playing cards as weapons, using the following profile (0k1 R, Pen 2, Throwing). Fixed Die When a die would explode, you may choose to gain a free raise instead of rolling that exploded die. This counts as keeping dice for spellcasting, and may be spent as normal raises. Improved Card Throw Your playing cards gain the Tearing and Razor Sharp properties. Lucky Sevens When using throwing weapons, your damage dice explode on 7s. Roulette When you make an attack, call odds or evens before rolling to hit. If you are predict your total correctly and your attack hits, your attack stuns your opponent for one round. If you predict your total incorrectly and your attack missed, you are stunned for one round. If you predict your total incorrectly and hit or predict your total correctly and not hit, nothing unique happens. The Devil’s Own Luck You may spend a Hero Point to turn a 1 into a 10 that explodes as normal. Risk Taker You may add the Luck property to any weapon you use. Warp Driver Whatever you choose to drive becomes an embodiment of chance and possibility. Your bonded steed becomes a smoky grey, every movement echoed by an illusion of a different motion that it could have taken instead. This effect grants it the benefits of a Light Hexagrammatic Ward.

I did a double check. Yes, that's probably too many schools. Removed Enchantment and Daemon Trigger.

They will be missed, but it is probably for the best. Looking through the older pages I noticed Kwak is running a game. I might try a trial run of this class+fool combination I mentioned, which seems wonderfully thematic. Perhaps as a Dullahan. Edited by Username, Jan 31 2016, 12:20 AM.

Fools aren't Paragons, so I can honestly say that they shouldn't... |

Personally, I would let Fools take Paragon feats. They're born lucky. |

Fools get their own special Fool Assets, they don't get the Paragon ones. They do get to take more than one exalt asset though, like the Paragon and can take them after character creation as well like the Paragon. Although since they do get Statuesue and Perfection like the Paragon, it could be argued that they do get to access the Paragon racial feat since they are just as exceptional as racial specimens.

I'd like to point out that the logic we'd been using for ExAlternates has been "if it has its own set of assets, it's locked out of the parent's assets unless stated otherwise." Fools got their own suite of assets, and I see nothing stating that they can take more than one (they have the full set of five, by the way), so that would lock them out of everything they don't share with the Paragon. Yes, I'm aware that's based on discussion between the only two people who were doing alternates at the time (the one who'd actually set those guidelines having apparently left); I'd put it to Kwak, since he's the one adjudicating. |

I'm half joking, because of all the things in Book 3 I would personally ban the Dullahan Lifespan thing is at the top of the list. Can't do that in a playtest game though But I don't think paragon feats apply to fools necessarily, even though they're a bit different from regular assets
