I felt like looking for B-baller pictures. Here's what I found. Spoiler: click to toggle

Any suggestions for these two feats? |

I like Chaos Dunk and it is very flavorful but it's also really powerful, even with the TN40 to not die check. After all a lot of Exalts aren't super bothered by death on the long term. Maybe some kind of permanent consequence even if you do survive? Something like sacrificing an Exalt rank? |

On Chaos Dunk, losing a point of constitution or willpower, or one of the defense stats might be good too, as a consequence. Though I'll agree that that's a bit too powerful. I'd definitely bump up the TN for not dying if you keep it as an orbital strike. You could always make it Blast (50) instead, or something else absurd. Also on the class, I think Illusion is nice but beyond mislead none of them are really applicable to really use while slamming and jamming. It makes the class feel a bit cluttered, and there's a more graceful and fun way you could approach it to emphasize showboating. Instead, you should give them a feat that whenever they stunt on rolls related to B-Ball, depending on the level of stunt they can cast an image spell at the same time as a free action. And then give them something like if they do a feint and stunt (stunt optional) instead of the normal benefits of a feint they can instead choose to cast Mislead as a free action. Just give the spells custom casting formulas and drop Illusion from the class. |

A custom casting system seems over complicated for a class, and considering this is full Space Jam and Barkley, I think Illusion works just fine. I'd sooner remove one Gun kata than Illusion. The conclusion I'm getting for Chaos Dunk is that maybe it just doesn't fit at something that should be gotten at all, even at level 5. It's feels more like something the player would talk to their SM about for an end of campaign special if it shows up at all, not something to be statted. I put the TN for rebound at 15 +2 for every enemy surrounding you. This is just ball parking (hurr) so I can get the class looking almost finished. Edit: Added a link to my Basketball weapons post for convenience. Edited by Lorko, Sep 17 2015, 09:56 PM.

I'm going to go and revamp this class later. Most of it still works, so it won't be hard. |
