Far beyond the limits of space and logic lie powerful creatures. These daemonic beings are best described as fantastic, beautiful, and horrifying, ruling the deepest wilds of the Umbra with fists of iron and velvet. Feeding on the love, fear, hate, and sorrow of their victims, these fey princes and princesses rely on the emotions of mortals to define themselves and grow in power. Their true names are [REDACTED], but to call one such would be risky. Rather, the wary and superstitious masses of the Wheel refer to these aberrations as the Tuatha, or Fair Folk.

Of course, being cooped up in the Umbra can get awfully boring for a creature made out of maddening and alien ideas. When their boredom becomes unbearable, a member of the Gentry will take a vacation to the Materium, taking the place of an unfortunate mortal and pretending to be more interesting versions of whoever it was they replaced. Do not be caught off guard - though they can appear to be like you or me, they are nothing of the sort. The Tuatha exist only to entertain themselves, and other people getting hurt along the way only gets them more excited.

Tell: As the Tuatha spends Glamour, their carefully crafted illusion of mortality will begin to break down. Hair and nails will grow longer or change color. Skin will split open to reveal additional eyes and mouths. Even the most attractive of the Tuatha have disturbingly perfect forms underneath their disguises, and they become increasingly more disturbing as Glamour is spent.

Powers

Wicked Masque: Begin play with Speak Language (Sidhe). You do not need to eat, sleep, drink, or breathe (though you can, if you so desire), and are unaffected by pressure, radiation, and aging. You cannot benefit from a Bionic Heart (or artifact versions thereof).

Blue and Orange Morality: Your Devotion cannot be reduced below your Heart Grace, but you take a -2 penalty on Alignment checks. You cannot take the feats Virgil's Guidance or Pure Faith, and treat them as optional feats when they appear on your class track. You continue to gain Degenerations as normal, but all Degenerations at your current Devotion or lower are removed when you raise your Devotion with XP.

Gossamer Phantasm: Gain one free rank of the Enchantment or Illusion magical school. You may advance this school as if it appeared on any of your class tracks. Gain a static bonus on the Focus Power test equal to twice your Heart Grace when casting Enchantment or Illusion spells.

Iron Bane: A Tuatha halves their Resilience when calculating Hit Points lost from damage from an iron weapon. A creature aware of this weakness may use an iron weapon or object to protect themselves against a Tuatha's spells, as the spell Dispel cast with an Abjuration rank equal to the creature's level. Touching a creature affected by a Tuatha's spell with iron allows that creature to immediately make a saving throw to end the spell's effect, with three free raises.

Sidebar: Iron Weapons

Power Stat: Heart Grace: The Heart Grace defines the qualities of existence, and can be understood as the raw beating heart of the Umbra. An understanding of that principle is the central aspect of every Tuatha's being. The stronger and better the Tuatha's Heart Grace is, the more "real" the Tuatha is; this is not reality in the sense that the Materium-born understand it, but in the Tuatha's own sense of the word.

Resource Stat: Glamour: The character has maximum Glamour equal to her Resolve plus her Heart Grace. Regain 1 point of Glamour whenever you succeed on a Social attack, plus 1 point of Glamour for every two raises you get on that test.

*Maven Prince: You can always purchase skill ranks as if they were in Free Study, and begin play with 8 additional skill points. These skill points may not be used to bring a skill above 3 dots at character creation.

**Unearthly Countenance: Your Social Characteristics can go up to six dots, and you gain a free specialty (Fae Perfection) in each of them.

***Thousand-Masque Phantasmagoria: You can spend 3 Glamour to change your current race as a Full Action. Your Size and racial power change to those of your new race. Any racial feats you have are lost upon using this power, and you immediately gain 100xp for each that can only be spent on racial feats of your new race. Any equipment you have that would be affected by a change in size automatically resizes to fit you, as if it was always meant for your new form.

****Otherworldly Noble: Gain the Stuff of Nightmares trait.

*****Least Unshaped Lord: You can change races fluidly as a free action, and choose the Hit Location of any attack that hits you.

...Meh, I still wanted to do it. Inspired by this week's fiction during the Battle for Zendikar previews to get this up to at least finishing the base exalt. All hail our new Eldrazi overlords!

I'm thinking Ozoi and the Eldrazi might end up taking center stage here, so there might be some revision to fluff forthcoming. So, let's keep a theme of hunger and gluttony in mind as we edit this over, shall we?

...Well, that may have been a mistake... :$

Got a few questions.

These are supposed to be like Exalted's Fair Folk, right?

What is the Outside? Is that anything like the Far Realm or Pandemonium?

What are the assets?

What exactly is Orgone, and why is it needed?

All and all, I think it steals too much from other Exaltations to be unique. You could refluff an existing Exalt (Daemonhosts and Symbiotes come to mind) and get similar results out of it.

Also, Youma is already taken as a race, which would get a little confusing.

Was the start of it, yes, but I think I ended up drawing more on the Eldrazi tonight.

Yes.

What are the assets?

Irrelevant until I get the rest straightened out.

At the moment, standing in for whatever it is a Metroid drains from its prey.

Strigoi plus Daemonhost, actually. "Unique" aside, hybridizing seemed to be the best place to start.

And I've stated many, many times that the way Crux went about it would be better served as an exalt rather than a race.

Wouldn't it be easier to say that Youma crawled out of Pandemonium when nobody was looking? I know the Wheel is big, but it can get cluttered if we throw in extra dimensions willy nilly.

Assets aren't priority yet, but you might want to adapt the Youma courts.

Metroids drain bioelectricity from their victims. It's not Vitae, so a Youma and a Vampire could tag team some poor bastard for his life energy.

I saw the Strigoi and Daemonhost influences. I don't think anybody minds you stealing from Strigoi, since it's an alt Exalt. Since these guys are ancient horrors, you could steal some elements from Beast: The Primordial to keep things fresh.

Though Youma can work as an Exalt and a Race, having them as the latter gives them their own quirky civilization in the shallows of the Warp.

Considering Orgone seems to be an alternate word for Magic in the Wheel (Orgone arrays and such) that should probably be something else.

If you want old-timey occult life-energy, I suggest Vril.

Edited a couple things.

You know that whole lemony narrator thing that the books do? In descending to the Wheel, this... thing has trapped itself inside a tier of existence it has no business being in. Mortals have not the senses required for it to describe this predicament; the best that can be said is that it is from outside the realms of mortal ken. This Outside could very well refer to the same Far Realm whence the Great Devourer hails, or it could be something else entirely, but I've tried to frame this as a sort-of tale told by one of them, and they can't describe it properly. :(

That said, since I did start out by using the Warp, I started them out poaching some of the daemon-themed stuff from the 'host. Will have to find this Beast thing, though...

EDIT: Thanks for the reminder, ReptileViking. Recovery being based on Eldrazi, I think I'll keep the name but edit the fluff attached to it; they feed on living things and convert it into raw magic. Or something like; I'm kinda attached to the term from Cthulhu Tech right now, might change later...

Beast is shit. I normally like WoD but they dropped the ball with Beast. I personally would recommend you stay far away from it. Saya No Uta could give some inspiration, maybe.

Basically, a Beast is a manifestation of a primordial horror. Fears of the powerlessness, fear of deep oceans, and fears of rejection can all be represented by a Beast. They have to feed their hungers to grow in power, and can inspire fear in other supernatural creatures once it figures out what makes them tick.

The downside is that they tend to attract Heroes, desperate losers who become charged with great power so that they can slay the Beast for personal glory/gratification.

EDIT: While I agree that Beast isn't exactly good, you might find something good out of it. Key word is might. You can find the book online.
