On my quick glance, it suggests that - other than being incapable of dying from loss of Devotion - it works as normal, just taking the -2 check on the Alignment check that happens after getting dropped to any Devotion under 7.

Doc has the right of it. Original version just said "you aren't removed from play at 0 Devotion;" this way also folds in an idea based on descriptions in Graceful Wicked Masques, to wit the Heart Grace is the Tuatha's identity, and no amount of divine dickery is going to change it. Too much, anyway.

EDIT: Added in a bit about gaining Degenerations.

I think found an idea to reconcile the Youma race and exalt in a way that makes some degree of sense.

The race that is currently called Youma would be renamed to Changeling. These Changelings fuse the D&D Changelings with WoD's Lost Changelings, and are what happens when fae beings from deep in the Umbra get creative with their torture, creating a new race entirely.

The exalt that was previously called Youma (and now called Tuatha) would become Raksha, powerful beings that form mortal shells to interact with the Materium when they become bored with the constantly shifting tides of madness. They also make Changelings.

Then the word Youma can be free to describe the half human/animal races.

Does that sound reasonable to you guys?

I don't know, I'm attached to Youma for the race name. Changeling feels more clunky, and making them races from the wheel changed by the umbra instead of just the umbra's mirror of mortals seems unnecessary.

Thing is, Lorko, what is currently called "Youma" has no business being called that. The word youma describes "an imaginary or legendary creature, such as a centaur or harpy, that combines parts from various animal or human forms." What Soulblazer created was a tentacle demon, what Cruxador created (and what is currently in the pdf) is something that should have been an exalt to begin with.

That's not really true nowadays. Blame Sailor Moon if you must but the term is just as likely to refer to gribbly tentacle demons as it is animal/human hybrids, if not more so.

You can have both the race and the exalt, but you can't have them both being called Youma. One or both are in need of a name change.

...Both of them, if we're going to insist on keeping that clunky mess of mechanics (also, strip my feats off it, those were meant for the eldritch horror version, not the Fae knockoff). If you want an Umbral counterpart to humans, look to jinn.

The forum moving fast is a good sign, considering we have like about ten people. :D

Don't think Jinn has been made yet.
