I think Time Lord and Chronomancer are equally terrible, but there's not very good alternatives. Since the main problem with Chronomancer is the "mancer" sounding like a class, what about Chronomaster or Chronolord? Gonzo, yes, but maybe that's okay. |

Yeah, they're both pretty bad. What to do? |

"Chronomaster" is superior by virtue of not having "lord" in it. |

While I agree that Chronomaster is a little better (mainly for not having "mancer"), I still don't see your issue with using the word "lord". |

Same reason you have against "-mancer," really. With the added bonus that unless you're specifically referencing Abyssals, using "lord" gives the impression that you're a twelve-year-old trying to sound impressive. |

I second Chronolord. Chronomaster is definitely better than Chronomancer, but it sounds like it's trying to be two separate words, and in this universe "chrono" means "watch", and as good as that one episode of BTAS was I don't think anyone wants an exaltation essentially named Clock King. |

The reason I'm against 'mancer' is that a) it implies spellcasting only, and b) ____mancy typically refers to divining the future using ____, and divining the future with time is a little redundant. Lord has a lot of uses. Like how Tuatha are "Umbral Lords" or Daemonhosts "Daemon Lords". Why can't these guys be "Time Lords", or lords of time? These guys really ARE impressive (being Exalted), so I don't get where the 'sound' bit comes from. EDIT: I'd be okay with Chronolord. Edited by weredrago2, Feb 24 2016, 08:01 PM.

The same is true of "Infernal Monster", but if the name fits it fits |

Alright, I can see when I've been outvoted. On condition that someone else take over as curator, as I refuse to be credited with it now. |
