Since Klutzy Hero (which we could probably rename to just Klutz) doesn't stop you from raising your skills, you can keep your characteristics low and still pass high TN tests by relying on situational modifiers, stunts, and dice explosions. If all of those fail you, then you can always save yourself with Klutzy Hero.

Done. I think this alt. Exalt's fairly complete by this point. |

Can Fools take multiple Exalted Assets like Paragons? I would assume yes, but it'd be nice if this was written on the document. |

No, when something like that isn't stated, one should assume that it isn't applicable. Paragon exception is mentioned in the assets section, where the Fool having its own set of assets overrides it. So yes, if it is intended for this one to be able to take more than one of its assets (which it really doesn't need, as it has a full set of five), it needs to be stated outright. |

Actually, I was asking GuardianTempest to clarify his intent when he made the Exaltation. I'm already aware of your ruling on the subject. |

No, I was providing the opposing argument for context. |

Actually, no, I need to think on this one. For one thing, as Username said, a Fool's resource needs to be managed and at chargen. At level 1 it would be strained heavily since most of the Fool Wildcards use Action Points unlike the Paragon's Assets. Still, that only applies to early game and it would be nifty for a little more versatility. Plus, another asset would be 100 XP that could be spent on other things like more background dots or feats. How about this: You can purchase one additional exaltation asset during character creation. Be careful with that. Could be changed to "You get to purchase another asset upon hitting Level 3." |

In the PDF book formats, it has always been explicitly stated. From the last version of the split up tome, page 31:
When I played the fool, I felt this may well have been a bit much. The Paragon's assets don't actually do very much, just being small numerical bonuses that don't generally change how they play, just make them better at it. The Fool's Assets (and the lovely Mary Sue as well for that matter) are fool-on complete abilities like normal assets. On the other hand, like a Paragon many of their normal abilities are rather minor in nature, with the Assets allowing more functionality. GuardianTempest probably has it right with limiting it to 2. I'd probably go with Epic Fail and Klutz on my Fools. Disaster Dominos is less than party friendly, Murphy's Law only saw one use since Hero Points are very rare aside from Humans. The only one that might tempt me would be Comeback, but I didn't really get very far with that. Comeback would be most useful mixed with Klutz, having many characteristics that are only 2 but skills that are at 5 still. This way you can easily roll 7 dice but still fail if you want. You can then use your 2nd Power Stat ability-given Action Point to power up Comeback for that +7 rolled dice (more if you stunted). So you'd do something like try to punch someone with low brawl so that you can then turn around and use those extra +6 rolled dice on a sniper shot or some such. Probably a pretty fun build, but I think I'd still go with Epic Fail and Klutz. |

I'd be okay with either having the asset limits be like the Paragon or just limiting it to two. Either way, it should be in writing so we don't have to deal with RAW/RAI arguments. |

Made edits. Murphy's Law is now useful for dealing with other Exalts (especially Kismets), if it's too OP I can edit it so it only applies to generic resource point/Hero Point usage. Disaster Dominoes now has a nastier effect aside from being stunned. Comeback is reworked, might be too OP in its current iteration but it rewards failing a lot. |
