Fluff: A walking contradiction, an impossibility, an error. Just as a computer might experience bugs, so can reality itself. By cheating fate, these individuals become nothing more than living system bugs, bringing malfunctions in their wake. Powers: Error 404: Gain the Unremarkable feat. In addition, you get +1k1 on stealth rolls. Personal ECM: You generate your own ECM field around you, making it hard to pinpoint exactly where you are. Follow the rules for ECM in the vehicle section in book 2. Bugged Mind: You gain a free specialization in a Forbidden Lore. In addition, you do not get taken out of the game at 100 sanity, Not as Planned: An Error cannot take the Just as Planned Feat. In addition, whenever they use a machine or device, they must make a TN 15 Tech-Use + Composure Test. Failing this test causes the machine or device to malfunction. Power Stat: Malus: The amount of Malus an Error has determines how much they are displaced from reality itself. Resource Stat: Bugs: An Error has a number of Bugs equal to 3 times his Malus. Bug-fixing: To regain bugs, the Error may do any of the following: Take -1k0 to his next Test, spend at least 15 minutes actively repairing something, or spending a half-action to maintain themselves. *Hidden Mistake: You may go up to six dots in Forbidden Lore, Stealth, and Deceive. **Binary Emission: By spending a bug, you may roll a d10. Even numbers give you a +1k0 to you next three tests. Odd numbers give you +0k1 to your next three tests. ***Logic Error: By spending 2 bugs, state a TN. Then make a Intelligence + Tech Use roll. If you succeed, attacks against you inflict 1d5 insanity to the attacker until your next turn. If you fail, you take suffer from 2 random negative effects. ****Forced Malfunction: By spending 3 bugs, you may inflict one of the following effects for a number of rounds equal to your Malus. -Jam a weapon. If unjammed, this weapon automatically jams at the start of the next round while under this effect. -Inflict a -3k0 penalty on all vehicle actions. *****System Crash: The Error may spend up to their Malus in Bugs to launch a powerful blast up to (3*number of spent bugs)m in all directions. Any machinery, devices, or ranged weapons caught in this blast malfunction and jam. Assets: Argument Exception: Arithmetic Exception: Assert Exception: Index Exception: Type Exception: Edited by FlakCannonier, Dec 8 2015, 01:29 AM.

So I decided to try and make an exaltation. Not sure what other powers or assets to add, though. |

Willful Ignorance is kinda like the Unremarkable feat. As for the rest, I don't know how to tackle this Exalt. Perhaps you can do something with Forbidden Lore or insanity rules? Or even take a few notes from Demon or the God Machine Chronicle? |

Wow, I really like this fluff. Asset ideas: take some kinds of errors from real world computer science. "Exception Assets" would be a good name, perhaps?
Your current capstone seems underpowered; it might severely disadvantage or completely take out many combatants, but many others will be mostly or completely unaffected--and it could also take out half your teammates. Edited by stellatedHexahedron, Dec 2 2015, 04:28 PM.

Alright, update time. I changed/added the base powers, and added some more level powers. stellatedHexahedron, I like the names for the assets. Going to keep them, but i'll see if I can play around with the effects a little more. Any further suggestions for making this workable? |

In general, abilities can be taken from spells, which makes for good padding when you need an extra power or two. In this case, maybe try Stasis Field? EDIT: On second thought, that might be a bad idea. It's Abjuration 5, after all. You still might want to look at spells as powers if you need one. I'm less coherent without sleep, so I'll give this a deeper analysis when I can. As for your *** and ****, you should really only have one or two powers to them. Anything after that might be pushing it. Edited by weredrago2, Dec 3 2015, 02:25 AM.

Ok, changed around some of the powers. Still unsure of the assets and how to make them balanced. |
