Precognition: When a Preconator spends Threads on a test, they use the results from their pre-rolled array of Threads for the results of their test. A 3k2 test would simply use the two highest value Threads available. If they lack enough Threads to complete the roll, the remaining dice are rolled normally. A 3k2 test with only one Thread available would be treated as 2k1+one Thread. Threads are not be used on Focus Power tests or damage rolls. Hard to Look at: You gain an additional +5 to their Mental Defence while using Poker Face and a free raise to Command and Intimidation Tests or Social Attacks if any Threads were spent in the scene. The Loom Spins: Whenever another character is granted a re-roll due to spending a Hero Point or use of a Luck feat a Precognator suffers a -1k0 penalty to all actions until the end of their next turn for every re-roll up to a maximum of half your Power Stat, rounded up. Fourth Dimensional Awareness: Even when relaxed you are able to see normally invisible traces of possible outcomes. Gain the Danger Sense feat. You begin play with one free rank in Divination Magic School. The Precognator may purchase ranks in this Magical School as if it appeared in their class progression. POWER STAT: STITCHING Threads represent the overlapping possible future outcomes that can arise from actions. The Precognator is able to view this melange of events and pick when they will succeed and fail. A Precognator has a number of threads equal to their Willpower + Stitching. Threads are a pre-rolled set of d10 results a Precognator can use for rolls. Regardless of how they are utilized, Threads are always used in descending order. A new set of threads is automatically gained when the current set is depleted. Spending Threads for non-Precognition purposes can only be done Stitching+1 times per scene. Precognator Stitching Power Gained * Viewing Spoilers: Gain the Common Sense feat. You may spend 1 Thread to use it on another character, rolling against their Mental Defense+5. If you succeed you learn a general, one-sentence summary of what they plan to do in the current scene. This information is not absolute and people can change their minds depending on how the situation plays out. Alternatives to True Strike Unnamed 01: Intentionally fail a Hard (TN 20) or harder test with consequences and gain a bonus equal to half the failed test on your next roll. Unnamed 02: Intentionally fail a Hard (TN 20) or harder test with consequences and one of your Threads with a value equal to or less than your Stitching automatically Explodes when used. Unused Explosions are lost at the end of the scene. Unnamed 03 (Possible name "No, but..."): If you fails test by less than 5 you still gain some small benefit. This feels too vague for a gained power and required a lengthy explanation a "small benefit." ** ️ *** ️Byakugan: As long as you're not Blinded, you may substitute Perception for Acrobatics when making a Dodge maneuver. If you have spent Threads in the scene you gain a free raise on the test. **** Eyes in the Back of Your Head: Gain the Combat Master feat (Book One). ***** Overloading Fate - You may spend a Hero Point to remove all fatigue and refresh your Threads even if you have not used them all, you may discard as many Threads as you like and redraw up to your maximum. You also suffer from Perils of the Warp. Assets Mulligan: Once per scene you may discard your current set of Threads for a new one that is one point smaller. You cannot use this asset if you currently have one Thread left. Euphoria: You may spend a Hero Point to use Precognition on a single Thread for damage rolls and Focus Power tests. Stack Overflow: Whenever you spend Threads on a test, you gain a static bonus on your next one equal to the amount spent. (e.g. Spending 3 Threads on a test adds +3 on your next one.) Attempts at rewording, not good but it conveys my interpretation: Precognition When a Precognator spends Threads in a test, he chooses from his pre-rolled array and immediately keeps it instead of adding +1k0 to the roll. If you lack enough Threads to complete the roll, the remaining dice are rolled normally. Threads used this way do not explode and cannot be used in Focus Power tests or damage rolls. Resource Stat: Threads A Precognator has a maximum number of Threads equal to Willpower plus Stitching. Threads come in an array of pre-rolled d10's which are kept track of with cards or notes. These values are used in ascending or descending order unless spent for other benefits, which is always in descending order. Only a maximum of four Threads can share the same value and any remaining duplicates are rerolled. Unused Threads are reserved between scenes and sessions until spent. Spent Threads may not be gained until the entire set is used up, after which a new array is rolled on the spot. Every point of fatigue reduces your maximum amount by one, discarding the highest value Thread if needed. Eyes in the Back of Your Head Gain the Combat Master feat. |

Further work on re-wording Precognition When a Preconator spends Threads on a test, they substitute results from their pre-rolled array of Threads for the results of their test instead of rolling in the standard XkY manner. If they lack enough Threads to complete the roll, the remaining dice are rolled normally. Threads used this way do not explode and cannot be used in Focus Power tests or damage rolls. |

Spent some time over the past few days giving the Exalt several readings, I cut out some fluff that did not need to be in crunch. I also followed Eisenritter's advice and cut out the multiple resolution parts. |

WIP Assets Thread Ripper: You no longer have a limit to the number of each Thread value. Mulligan: Once per scene you may re-draw your Threads. When you do so the maximum amount of Threads you may carry is reduced by one for the remainder of the scene. RedBlack: Choose evens or odds when taking this asset. If the Threads spent on a test are all of the parity you selected, you gain a free raise on the test. |

Four base powers. One power for each dot of power stat. I would suggest folding 4-D Awareness into Precognition. There's no "social defense," either; you're thinking of Mental Defense for Hard to Look At. The Warp Hates is also a bit too specific if that's supposed to be the "drawback" power. I'd recommend some adverse reaction to "breaking script," as it were; if someone else does something to reroll (Hero Point, Luck feat, etc.) and it changes the outcome entirely, you can't use exalt-specific powers for a moment due to having to run your numbers again? |
