Oh, right. I keep forgetting that 'Daemon' refers to both Order and Chaos aligned ones.
Hold the phone, let me look in the book. ... Well shit. Dryads do speak Spirit. My mistake. I'm changing my argument to Fair Folk having a "High/Noble" counterpart to Spirit (spoken by forest spirits and awakened lawn mowers) they call Sidhe, kinda like the difference between Elven and Eldarin. That way, we keep Spirit as a more rare language and prevent it from becoming too prevalent. Since we already have two races speaking Spirit, can I argue that Lizardmen and Slaad can have Syrneth as additional languages or an alternate option to Trade? Methodia already made a race that got Syrneth as a language. Edited by weredrago2, Feb 21 2016, 08:44 PM.

Bit like closing the gate after the dog's already out there. Spirit is one of the most used languages already, spoken by Dryads, Fairies, Youma, and Kitsune. Werewolf get it too, but no complaints there since they got it first. Unless Spirit-Tongue is different than just Spirit? |

It's more of me not wanting to make the Spirit language even more common than it already is. I'm going on the assumption that Spirit-tongue and Spirit refer to the same thing. It was his Carapacians. They had Syrneth for a while, but looking now it appears that he changed it to Jawaese. |

...Well, no wonder, then. Anyway, as far as Lizard Men and Slaadi are concerned, I'm still of the opinion that they really wouldn't have needed to understand Syrneth so much as recognize it. I'm sure I've mentioned previously that their precious tablets are probably along the lines of the Rosetta Stone; a few lines of Syrneth followed by a line of Saurian translating their relevant parts, or Eldarin if it was meant for the knife-ears, etc. The Lizard Men, after all, were created to observe, not to act. They didn't actually need to know what their masters said, only that they did speak. |

In that case, should at least give it to them as a racial feat. Something along the lines of "you have studied Syrneth culture to the point that you can begin to make sense of it" and let them take Speak Language (Syrenth) from it.

For [Lizardman, Slaad], as Space CQC is for the Gith, yes? |

Syrneth Scholar [Lizardman, Slaad] Your culture is deeply rooted in the traditions of the Syrne. By exposing yourself to their ancient writings, you have begun to have an understanding of them. You gain the Speak Language (Syrneth) feat. Edited by weredrago2, Feb 21 2016, 09:19 PM.
