Eisenritter, how do you feel about my idea for a Fae language? Fair Folk would be able to access it, along with possibly Dusklings (in the place of Infernal) or Dullahans (replacing Unseelie). I've decided that Changelings won't get it as an option unless they are Paragons, who remember everything that the Fairest did to them, instead of having it blocked out or being a byproduct of it. EDIT: I'd suggest Fairies getting it as well, but then we'd have the reverse problem with too many races getting Fae instead of Spirit. Besides, Fairies are 'low' spirits compared to the stuck up Fair Folk, so they'd probably speak Spirit anyway. Edited by weredrago2, Feb 21 2016, 10:18 PM.

He's going to say no to the Dusklings since they're imps, IE devils in DnD. Changlings as a race is odd but not without precedent, as Aasimar and Tieflings were other races first too. EDIT: Fairies are basically little nature spirits that spontaneously appear, with dim wits and excess personality. Them getting Spirit makes sense along with Dryads, since fairies basically ARE spirits. Edited by Username, Feb 21 2016, 10:24 PM.

Well, its still worth asking. Aasimar, Tieflings, and Changelings are all "races that used to be other races". The difference with Changelings is that their 'patrons' (the Fair Folk) didn't ask if they wanted to be changed first. I'm also assuming that Aasimar and Tieflings are infertile, which is why children from either aren't brought up. Changelings can have children, who will also be Changelings. I'm dropping Fairies learning Fae. Wouldn't make sense anyhow. |

What's the difference between Sidhe and Unseelie? They both fit the niche of being the language spoken by fairies. I'd recommend changing Unseelie to something more practical, like Spirit or Abyssal. |

At the moment, the difference is "I have not yet achieved satisfaction with the Tuatha's current state." And, uh, do remember you're discussing a language spoken by a race of chuuni freaks. "Impractical" would be a point in favor of keeping Unseelie... |

To avoid languages altogether, I think it would just be easier to give Unseelie a copy of the Promethean Necrodermos asset instead of tacking on other feats and hindrances. |
