...I'm thinking "Super Sensory" might be the only actual spell; Cthulhu Tech does include Precognition and Retrocognition as Sensory powers, though the power levels are swapped here. Something like Shulk's vision mechanics might work for the asset, too. "Super Manipulative"... the strongest Manipulative power in Cthulhu Tech is something called "Mind Worm." It basically involves tearing into your target's head, ripping out what you want and leaving behind a brain-dead vegetable... the decerebrate power, or the illithid's mind blast on steroids, basically. |

Do you want to just copy-paste this into the Parapsyker OP? I'm getting kind of tired, I don't know jack shit about Cthulutech or Mind Flayers, and you'd update it faster anyway. I mean, this thread was really just to figure out what the hell all the salt was about and that got resolved, and we're more or less rebuilding your own Parapsyker, sooo...

Can you explain Telepathy? Like, would social tests without speaking mean that the target wouldn't know they are being manipulated? Also, we can always steal Mind Flayer powers from book 1. |

I'm going to actually avoid doing that until we've actually agreed on how it's going to look, and then only if I feel that it should be worded differently. Plus, uh, the all-discipline mashup was Soulblazer's Psylord, I only straightened it out into that first failed attempt with custom Ego powers... |

I dunno. Stealth social makes sense, but might want to be a buffed version? Anyway, somebody else please put this in their OP. I only really got into Psionics because I was so annoyed at how shitty the existing exalts were. That's no longer the case, so like my work here is done or at least I don't feel responsible |

Thanks You can make a separate OP or something, too, if you'd like. Or I can just update what y'all decide really slowly.honestly it's just been a really long day with banking problems and things breaking down and I'm tired and would rather work on the playtest game right now EDIT: And now you can name it Parapsyker and no one can stop you! Because this is mostly Arcanist's Force-Sensitive with the serial numbers ripped off and violently strewn about local space-time slash weredrago's most recent addition to the ranks of psionicist attempts with some neat polishing done, I figure I'll post it here for discussion first. Esper Exaltation This one, yes, follows the trend set by Star Wars and carried into D&D Next more than we've been trying to shoehorn into this whole "psyker exalt" thing. Big booms, blatantly magical shit... no, that's a mage-caster exalt, and we want this to at least have grounds to stand on its own. Instead, it does things that are not and should never be codified into any spellbooks... telekinesis is the Esper's power, not one that any wizard with a few ranks of jiggery pokery can ape. I think at the end of this we will have at least one Alternate Psion who gets Battlemind and other blatantly Jedi shit. It's just too popular for us to not do that. I'd be happy to channel my irrational hatred for the Force Sensitive into writing a 1-2 paragraph justification for their existence. Oh shit maybe they're Soulblades? Like we just give em Battlemind and laser equipment and boom shaka laka? or maybe that's just a Psion-only specialist class. Edited by Kwak, Feb 6 2016, 04:25 AM.
