So, /tg/ doesn't want a joke book; they just want the horses gone. The whole concept is a bit of a slippery slope for what is more or less a joke game... |

Some things are more obvious jokes than others. B-ballers might be for instance, as well as a few of the new classes that were thrown together today. Others like Remodeler and Durulz, while silly on the surface, are actually quite good and fitting. Although Remodeler was put together as a joke based on that spam, it actually functions very well. |

I registered an account here specifically to contribute to this conversation, and let me just say this, making a dedicated joke book would be going completely against the game's spirit(considering that the first version was released on April Fool's Day), also while I'm no MLP fan, I think removing Unicorns/Ponies from the game just cause some whiny dicks on /tg/(and this is coming from someone who's been a 4chan regular for years) won't shut up about it would be just plain pathetic(not to mention if we give them the boot, then we have no excuse leaving in 99% of the other homebrew races cause they would technically be just as "problematic" to leave in if we consider their fanbases) Edited by drrockso20, Feb 19 2016, 11:12 PM.

I try to stay polite on the Forums and therefore try to stay out of the threads about things I dislike since I have absolutely nothing kind to say, but I will say this: I would never let a player in my campaigns play as a Unicorn, not for anything. Edited by Username, Feb 19 2016, 11:22 PM.

That is true, but at this point "whiny dicks on tg" is the only thing we really have to go on. Weredrago is the author/most vocal supporter of the current Unicorn, and at the same time is still asking for their feedback on a daily basis, so I'm assuming we're going for some kind of middle ground here.
But the same could be said of the Youma, the Perpetual, etc. I personally would be very reluctant to allow any of the Riders of Revelation as PCs. If we all used this as a benchmark for acceptability there wouldn't be a book of brew. Edited by Kwak, Feb 19 2016, 11:26 PM.

Because of Balance reasons? Balance reasons are fine, they can be addressed so long as the balance issue isn't completely inherent to the homebrew itself. The Youma probably could use a bit of a rework for fluff reasons, since they are a bit all over the place. |

I'll admit I'd only let someone play as one if they had a really good character concept, but trying to segregate ideas based on "Silliness" is just a plain bad idea, just going to lead to a bunch of pointless arguments(as we've already seen in the last couple of DtD threads on /tg/) |

Well, a lot of our biggest balance issues -are- inherent. I can imagine a lot of GMs deciding against having an Exalt who can't be killed off but that's their raison de'etre, and I'll cut them before I change that. Same with the Goliath, some people just do not want that and some people do.
We get pointless arguments anyway, because people see content they think no reasonable person should allow, and conclude that we aren't reasonable and give up on DtD brew or even DtD as a whole. Edited by Kwak, Feb 19 2016, 11:38 PM.

I respect this very much. I really do.
I seriously don't blame you (given how the MLP fanbase is a cancerous blight to mankind), but ouch, man. At least you're honest about it. That's more important to me than anything else. |

No offense aimed at you intended. You see why I didn't want to say anything and stayed entirely out of the discussion and building of them now though. |
