I can't blame you for trying to stay neutral either. Sometimes, the only winning move is not to play. |

It's valuable feedback, though, because if you don't say it then /tg/ does with even less mercy. And then we get in this weird place where our two sources of feedback are radically different and we get whiplash |

The problem (okay, one of several) is that it isn't "joke content" and "non joke content", it's a sliding scale, and not a clean one, either. It's pretty much pointless to try to draw a clean dividing line between them. Heck, DtD's biggest (as far as I can tell) lore inspiration, 40k, started out as lighthearted parody, and then somehow lost all it's self-awareness and turned into a hilariously over-the-top self-parody that both coined and codified "grim dark". I forgot exactly where I was going with this. Ah, right. My point is, this is ridiculous, everything's ridiculous. In the base game you can play as a cyborg plant werewolf necromancer, or a stuck-up pint-sized demonic TF2 reference. I personally don't see any trouble putting ponies 5 pages from militaristic 8-foot space lobster scientists, especially in a pdf called "The Big Book of Brew". Of course, some people don't agree with me, and that's fine. I don't really have much control over the book, anyway, since I'm not the one who makes it. Doc is. Of course, it's not as simple as "what does Doc think", because humans are a social species and Doc will want to listen to what everyone else has to say. Um. I lost track of the thread again. What I'm trying to say is...this is a complicated? I guess. This is complicated, everything is complicated, and I hate politics. I know I had something meaningful to say at some point. I sure hope I said it. |

You Guests have some degree of responsibility in stating your opinions on here. If you don't like something, for the love of god, tell us about it and why. It saves us so much time and effort when /tg/ comes knocking and tells us we suck dick, our moms suck dick, and our dogs suck dick. EDIT: Along with what Hex said, I feel its important to say that just because something is isn't in the book, it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Jesus people, I'm fine with Unicorns being removed from the PDF because the people that still want to play as divisive quadrupeds should know where to find it. Everyone else can ignore it because its not in the book. Out of sight, out of mind. Edited by weredrago2, Feb 20 2016, 12:27 AM.

So, the verdict will be that forum-exclusive homebrews will be a thing? |

Since it's 99.9% likely that Doc has a life outside of making PDF files, I'd say that forum-exclusives has been the unspoken rule whenever he hasn't had the time to update things. So yeah, I'd certainly say so. |

Individual authors can do whatever they want with their content, and Doc decides what he puts in the PDF although people can obviously veto their own stuff. So, for instance, on my end the Sensei, Mary Sue, Mimic, and Ferran are staying forum-exclusive. Later somebody can make a sticky thread containing a list of all homebrews |

We can make a list of credit pages for each creator. That's certainly much easier than trying to track down every homebrew ever made on here. |

So now I've got all this brand-new brew that I haven't really been taking seriously and don't know what to do with. What are your opinions on what should stay on the forum or or go? Ferran and Mary Sue is a definite no, Lawyer and Edgelord are probably yes, I dunno about the rest. |
