![]() The only natural predator of Goliaths, the Mimc is the true largest race in the Great Wheel. Contrary to what Council propaganda would have you believe, Mimcs are not inanimate, they are not man-made, and they are not good. Not even the Syrne could bear to call them by their true name, instead referring to them only in vague terms as The Great Devourer. They have infiltrated Elven gardens, Human cities, and even the very mansions of Sigil's elite. A rare few Mimics, however, use their powers for good. While they may not be as good at travelling around the Wheel as any other races, they're insidious, and have an unquenchable taste for the blood of the innocent. Physical Characteristics ![]() Languages: None Common Personality Traits: Evil, omnivorous, unresponsive, heavy sleeper Common Physical Traits: White, big, wooden, unmoving, invincible Example Names: A Gazebo, The Door, That Treasure Chest Racial Statistics Characteristic Bonus: +1 Size or Fear Rating Skill Bonus: +1 Disguiseand Brawl Power: It's a Gazebo - Gain the Unremarkable Feat. Weapons which have R damage, Flame, or Incendiary automatically bypass this armor. For every point of Critical Damage you deal, regain 1 Hit Point. No Answer: Gain +1k1 to any attempts to not seem like a sentient being. Arrow Sticking: You are immune to the effects of Artifact ammunition. Edited by Kwak, Feb 19 2016, 09:20 PM.

GAZEBO HEROES A Gazebo inherited a Syrneth soul, and gained the powers of Conjuration. Now it teleports from planet to planet, unleashing demonic hordes upon any civilization which refuses to pay it tribute. A Gazebo, unlike most Gazeboes, is not truly alive, but was actually built by some Squat remodelers out of a Pyros reactor and some wood to offend local Elven dignitaries. Little do they know that it has become self-aware, and has slowly begun hoarding mining drills within its wooden exterior.... A Gazebo was slain by the Neutral Paladin Eric, but not even death can stop the Great Devourer. Now it is a ghostly Gazebo, and is currently falling through the ground and quickly approaching the center of its homeworld. |

Oh my god. This is the best race, no constest. You could even argue that it's balanced (for a sufficiently generous definition of "balanced" like "auto wins half the time, autoloses the other half") enemies can just shoot missile at it from 17m away.

Since the original story describes the gazebo as catching the paladin from 50 yards, that means it probably has some means of locomotion. As amusing as playing as a Gazebo would be, I feel that this Race provides the opportunity to be a Mimic that takes the form of many different kinds inanimate objects, instead of just pavilion furniture. |

The thing about Mimic is it would still need to still be Size 15...actually that's hilarious. Better than the existing power, which is literally just "How can I make /tg/ mad?"

How about "You can only move and make attack actions when provoked into combat"? |

What if your Size increases as you increased in Level? Starting from a humble treasure chest (Size 2-3) and becoming a mighty Gazebo over time? I'll need to make a full examination of this later. The possibilities are there, I just need to find them. Edited by weredrago2, Feb 19 2016, 02:01 PM.

Oh, and just have them straight-up be a Mimic? Small ones would be very easy to carry though... |

Well yes, they would. Friends don't leave friends behind, and all that jazz. Instead of full immobility (which would only be for the Dread Gazebo Paragon feat), how about letting them calculate Speed by raw Strength? Hopping around is difficult, but not impossible, for Mimics who hit the gym. |
