Edgemaster's Oath:You must spend at least five minutes each day inflicting damage equal to your level on yourself. As long as you abide by this oath, you gain a free raise against Fear tests.

Display of Arms: Your weapons count as instruments and may be used to make Performer Tests.

Dark Soul: Weapons you use count as magical and Daemonic Weapons.

Ow the Edge: The pain of being defeated by you is sharp enough to kill. Attack actions which normally deal no damage, such as Feint and Bull Rush, deal 0k1 damage, plus your Charisma as unkept dice.

Diamond Back: Whenever an enemy would surprise you, you surprise them instead.

Edgemasters Oath needs some serious revision. What about Fear Tests? Do you automatically fail them, or ignore them altogether? Does "free raise to resist" apply to just resisting spells and the like, or does it include stuff like parrying? Does it add five to Static Defense as well?

Fixed the Egemaster's Oath wording. It's still a little vague, but in the same way Druid's Oath is.

I made a new Sword School that I think would go well with this Class Track, Dark Edge.

Since EM already has 4 schools, and all of them fit the class better than this one, I'm gonna dispute its addition for reasons I mentioned in that thread. But seeing as none of this is official, and if I put my foot down somebody will just copypaste an "Antihero" class with the school intact, I'll say that it's officially competing with Aphonic Wind for that 4th slot and it's up to SM discretion.

Yes, that was indeed the worry since a class having 2 Sword Schools and 2 Magic School/Gun Kata is the Classic approach I agree with. Since adding the idea I favour, replacement schools, is out of style and adding Sword Schools is in the vogue (Assassin is up to 4 Sword Schools now, just including the ones in the current version of book 3) I figured I'd do that. I'll mix them both, saying it is optional for Edgemasters which they want at first level.

I'm not a fan of us bringing back either/or schools. I can't imagine anybody copypasting your entire class track for something like a Sword School.

I would change the wording on Ow the Edge from "0k1 + Charisma unkept" to "(Charisma)k1".

Diamond Back should probably have a Hero Point cost to it. Then again, it's a Level 5 feat, so that might not be nessesary.

I really do prefer And/Or schools since I feel they allow for them to be added into the game more organically and naturally, while also reducing the issue we see where too many Sword Schools or Gun Kata end up added to a single class, an issue which I think is still happening. I see the other issue of it though, making the classes a bit less unique and cutting down on the value of dipping into another class line if it offers a Sword School you want.

I think Level 5 feats shouldn't just be an opportunity to do whatever and throw balance to the wind. The game starts to teeter at that point, but it doesn't mean you don't need to be mindful. Making it cost a Hero Point seems like a good idea, an upgraded version of the normal Hero Point ability to get 10 on an initiative roll.

Diamond Back combo's especially well with Steel Hounds ability to let you take double surprise rounds. That ability should probably be balanced a bit as well, although this isn't the thread for that.

Call me stupid and/or sleep deprived, but I don't understand how Gravity Ski fits into this class more than Dark Edge does.

I think Gravity Ski is meant to represent the character zipping around the battlefield, suddenly appearing behind you and saying "Nothing personnel, kid" as he blasts you to smithereens with his rocket launcher.
