![]() Abominable Exaltation: Werepyre
Ancient Eldarin myth tells of a fallen god of dogs, nature, and hunting known as Kurnous. When Slaanesh was born from feeding off the Eldarin pantheon, Kurnous turned to Chaos and attacked Khaine in the hopes of being spared himself. But he lost the battle, and was cast off to be devoured by the goddess Luna to keep Slaanesh from growing even stronger. Those who remained loyal to the traitor god were given a terrible fate by his enemies, bearing the legendary curses of both of them and doomed to be outcasts even among the Exalted. Those who carry Kurnous's legacy within them, whether by birth or bite, are known as Werepyres. The blood of Khaine fills them with a deep thirst and a living death, while the claws of Luna infuse them with a beastly form and an animal's instincts. Above all, they can still feel the torment and hatred of Kurnous, compelling them to lash out at their ancestral enemies. Werepyres, also known as "Abominations", have none of the connections of Vampires, nor the tribal heritage of Werewolves - being relentlessly hunted by both of them for millenia made sure of that. Even the history and understanding of these chaotic monstrosities is nearly extinct, having been condemned as heresy in most Spheres. To be a Werepyre is to stand alone, even in the sight of other Werepyres - their isolation and natural instability has led to even further variation and mutation among survivors. Power Stat: Feral Potency Feral Potency represents how much a Werepyre has given in to the dark instincts which fill them, sacrificing mortality for monstrosity. As a Werepyre increases their Feral Potency, they become pale as moonlight, their hair darkens, and their voice becomes gruff and raspy. They start to find pleasure in pain, vengeance, and bloodshed, losing their appetite for the mundane. Resource Stat: Rageblood - A Werepyre's maximum Rageblood is equal to Composure + Willpower + Feral Potency. Undead Resilience - As Vampire. Blood Dependency - As Vampire. Shifting: As Werewolf. Abomination: Gain Hatred (Vampires & Werewolves) and Intolerance (Vampires & Werewolves). Begin play with 1 Minor Derangement. You take a -2k1 penalty to all social rolls due to your feral instincts and undead appearance. * Auspex: As Vampire. ** Dread: As Vampire. *** Nightwing: While in Wolf Form or Warform, the Werepyre gains a Flyer rating equal to their speed. ****Sacred Hunt: As Werewolf. ***** Black Thirst: Whenever you fail an Alignment Test, you may immediately Shift as a Free Action without spending a Rageblood. ![]() WEREPYRE HYBRID ASSETS Dracopyre: The blood of dragons flows through your twisted veins. Choose a Blood Quickening. Your claws gain the benefits of that Blood Quickening while in Warform. Cyberpyre: Deep within your body lie cutting-edge bionic blueprints. You gain Natural Armor equal to your Feral Potency+2 while in Warform. Parapyre: Your bloodline traces back to another race's ancestor. Choose one race, and add its starting languages. You may now use Shifting to become that race, adding its characteristic and skill bonuses but not any racial powers or feats. Your size changes to the average between your current size and that race's size (rounding down). While in this form you cannot speak Trade, or any language this race does not start with. Solarpyre: The light of Pelor warms your heart and makes your skin sparkle. Gain the Kryptonian's Sunlight Dependency power. You may regain 1 Rageblood for every 15 minutes you spend basking in the light of a natural sun. Psykerpyre: A magical entity, such as a reincarnating soul or a daemon, has bonded with you. Gain a free rank in Necromancy or Transmutation. You may purchase ranks in this magical school as if it appeared in your class progression. Edited by Kwak, Feb 24 2016, 07:48 PM.

Dracowerepyre! Dracopyre and especially cyberpyre look like they could be pretty OP. Warform is already crazy enough without using melee weapons or Water's strength bonus. The real kicker, though, is that integrated weapons recover your vitae--which means that either those weapons deal fatigue, which would be crazy, or that you could integrate a scalpel or something and drain HP of Vitae from anyone you managed to capture, which would be even crazier. Nerfed Dracopyre and Cyberpyre, the former only applies to claw bonuses and the latter is just integrated armor now. Added a minor derangement to Abomination.

Now Cyberpyre is ludicrously underpowered, cause Lycan Resilience already grants AP ![]() EDIT: nevermind Edited by stellatedHexahedron, Feb 23 2016, 07:18 PM.
