I think the big difference between this Class and the Supreme Commander is that the Supreme commander takes a more leadership role, command, leading, planning and controlling tactics. This one works as a more moral affecting character, improving your allies actions and debuffing the enemy rather than giving them specific abilities to match the needs in the current battle.

Medicae is in the class list only as it's the Devoted Spirit Sword School Skill and that's the Sword school which had the Aid Another Action. If a Banner Sword School does end up being made, then I'll drop both Devoted Spirit and Medicae.
I was going to add Charisma to the list of characteristics however I was going based upon the characteristic descriptions in Book 1 and went with fellowship instead. VS Being a Flag carrier is more about persuading others and helping them fight harder rather than commanding them and telling them what to do. The Flag carrier was often the man standing next to the commander or general in combat and would relay the orders and rally the troops. Hence why I went with Persuasion over command.
It is a level five feat, I didn't think it would make that huge a difference when compared to some of the other level 5 feats. I looked at it as essentially turning that group of humans you're fighting into a group of eldarin for crunch purposes
Didn't think about that. Does Necrodermis Asset make allies roll on fear table when used? I was thinking as your allies would be used to your yelling they wouldn't be affect by it as they're not really the ones 'Confronted by the event'. Otherwise, the abilities gonna need some more tweaking.
Yup. I was going for a supportive focused role designed around improving the team's moral and giving them buffs and demoralizing the enemies. Edited by Xornik, May 29 2016, 10:15 PM.

Cross posting from Melee Weapons Thread New Weapon type - Banners!
New Weapon Trait Inspiring - Aid another actions made whilst holding a weapon with this trait gain an additional +2k0 bonus. Flag Flags are generally pretty small in comparison to most banner weapons. They usually consist of a small flexible pole with a small square or triangle of material hanging from the top. The flag might depict the icon or colors of a faction. Imago An Imago is a solid pole made from steel or another metal topped with a large figurehead or depiction of a high ranking member of your faction. It might by the likeness of a god, leader of a faction or emperor of a region. They are generally quite heavy and don't make the best weapons unless you use it a sort of oddly shaped mace. As an Imaginifer you would carry the Imago so all can look upon the likeness of your ruler, and he may watch over your party. To some the holy scriptures and writings of their leader are more important than their visage, thus the Imago can also appear an ornate book or scroll. Aquila An Aquila has a long metal pole adorned with a ornately crafted metallic likeness of an animal, race or icon that represents your patron. They were quite often in the shape of Eagles or Kenku with outstretch talons, but other animals such as Wolves, Bears, Boars or Minotaurs are common. As these animals were often in aggressive poses with jutting sharp points, the Aquila could be used to inflict some damage if required. Draco The Draco were used at standards by the Dragonborn armies of old. Traditionally used by mounted warriors, Atop a draco's pole lies a figurehead (often a dragon or a wolf) with an open maw leading to a long cylindrical or conic tube of material. As it's wielder would ride, the wind would rush through the maw and billow through the material, often producing a howling or roaring noise heralding the oncoming force. Vexillum The standard battle flag used by military forces. The Vexilum is a medium sized square flag hanging down from a crossbar in the center of the flag pole. Vexillum are topped with a spearhead allowing it to be used as a thrusting weapon if required. The Vexillum carries the colors, icon or symbol of the faction the wielder represents. War Banner A War Banner is the big brother of the Vexillum. It towers above it's wielder and would take most men two hands to carry. The flagpole itself is study and most of the time has a simple crossbar for the banner to hang down from. As a last resort, it can be used to bludgeon someone, however it is not recommended. Battle standards are impressive but are generally available to most military forces of a faction or religion. Battle Standard The Battle standard represents an entire faction religion or army and as such will only be trusted to the exemplar of such a massive force. It's cloth depicts not only the iconography and colors of the faction, but usually an impressive visual display surrounding it. Flames, lightning and skulls are no strangers to battle standards. They are usually adorned with decorative plates of metal and armor which may server to protect it's wielder whilst doing their primary job of looking badass. Sacred Battle Standard Not all factions have a Sacred Battle Standard and those that do usually keep them locked away in a vault, museum or archive. They are legendary and mythic battle standards carried into countless past victories, only being carried by the chosen of factions. Parts of the standard may have religious or historical significance, it could be topped by the founders skull or perhaps the god once blew their nose on the cloth. Their material is often damaged or tattered from the millennia of battle they have seen but will often depict a legendary scene or figure from the faction's history. Sacred Battle Standards are bestowed with a Power field to protect it and inspire the warriors of it's faction to fight zealous fervor. Images: Spoiler: click to toggle Also Currently trying to do up a feat which will allow you to equip your banner by fixing it to the back of certain Armor types (Heavy/Extreme/Power). Downside is that you can't use lay claim anymore or use your flag as a weapon / parry tool. But it free's up your other hand to dual wield / wield a two hander. Not sure if a weapon equipped on your back would still give the 'Inspiring' bonus or the armored bonus though? Also unsure of what level in the class to put it. I was going to suggest going with the Arm Mounted modification for crunch purposes, but you'd still be able to use it as a weapon in that case. I suppose you could give it Arm Mounted and say in the feat description that it can't be used as a weapon in that form? Say you can convert it as a half or full action or something of the sort too, perhaps? |

That works I suppose, but then that's another keyword to add onto the already crowded list of mods some of the weapons have. Otherwise maybe there should be a sort of mounting kit you can purchase which allows your to mount it on the back of your armor. |

Extremely Confused
|
If I recall correctly, there are rules for surgically implanting equipment in Book 2. While that would be a bit extreme in this case, perhaps they could be adapted to armor modification?

Surgically implanting a flag into your back might be taking it a little far, especially if you're ever planning to take it out to use one of your abilities later on. Mounting Kit. (Uncommon) A Mounting kit allows you to mount an item jutting up into the air from the back of your armor. This is typically used to carry an inspiring or intimidating object into battle such as a banner weapon or impaled head atop a pike. If back equipped, the ready action can be used to convert the item from back-mounted to wielded and vice versa. Whilst an item is mounted, the user suffers -1k0 to acrobatics rolls. This increases to -2k0 if it is a large object such as a Two-Handed weapon.. |
