Chimera - The EVERYTHING "Why have you done this Xornik?" ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The end times of the Great Wheel are truly here. Chimera - omens of impending doom have been sighted. Abilities Price to Pay Randomize four Exalts. For each one of the four randomized Exalts, select a Core Power that has a negative effect and gain that Power. You do not gain any positive effects this power may also have. You may not select an power which references or relies an ability that you do not have. If there are no negative powers that meet this criteria, reroll that exalt. Abnormal Breeding Select one of the four randomized Exalts from Price to Pay. From that Exalt, select one of the core Powers with a positive effect from that Exalts list of core powers and gain that power. You may not select an power which references or relies an ability that you do not have. Repulsive Mongrel Select another Exalt that you have not already chosen from the Exalts randomized in Price to Pay. Select one of the core Powers with a positive effect from that Exalts list of core powers and gain that power. You may not select an power which references or relies upon an ability that you do not have. Malformed Hybrid Select another Exalt that you have not already chosen from the Exalts randomized in Price to Pay. Select one of the core Powers with a positive effect from that Exalts list of core powers and gain that power. You may not select an power which references or relies upon an ability that you do not have. ![]() ![]() ![]() Power Stat: Multivolution If one of your powers or abilities would mention it's source's Power Stat, you may substitute in Multivolution in that Power Stat's place. Resource Stat: Metamorphic Energy A Chimera has a maximum Metamorphic Energy equal to double their number of different Exalts that they draw from. If one of your abilities would mention their resource point, you may substitue in Metamorphic Energy for that resource. A Chimera regains Metamorphic Energy equal to their Multivolution any time one of their many flaws hinders them.

Endless Torment This asset can be purchased after character creation and can be purchased a number of times equal to your Multivolution. Randomize an exalt until you get one you do not already have - gain that Exalts negative core Power and gain 200xp. You do not gain any positive effects the negative core power may have. Evolutionary throwback When increasing your Multivolution and selecting a Power-Stat Power to gain you may instead select the equivalent Power-Stat Power from any exalt that you already have a power from. You still gain the negative core Power from the randomized Exalt. Give me more! This Asset can be purchased multiple times, each time this asset is purchased add another 50xp to it's cost. Randomize another Exalt that you do not already have and select an asset from their list of assets. Gain that asset and also gain the negative core Power of that exalt. You do not gain any positive effects the negative core Power may have, you may not select an asset or power which references or relies an ability that you do not have. If there are no negative powers or assets that meet these criteria, reroll that exalt. Intelligent Design When Increasing your Multivolution, randomize two Exalts instead of one. Select one and gain the appropriate Power Stat Power and corresponding negative core Power from that Exalt. Selective Breeding Double the cost of increasing your Multivolution. You no longer need to randomize an exalt when taking Loose Change, Endless Adaptation, Horror Unleashed or Unfathomable Monstrosity. Instead You may select any one Exalt you wish to gain the power stat ability and negative core power from. You may not select an exalt which already is a part of you. Shortcoming Suppression At the beginning of each session. Select a number of negative Powers equal to half your Multivolution. You may Ignore the effects of those powers for the duration of the Session. ![]() Inspiration:

Code for Randomizing Chimera Credit to Traskus for the getExaltation() function from his randomizer. Step 1: Copy everything in the spoiler below. Step 2: Press Ctrl+Shift+J in your browser (this works in Chrome, not sure about other browsers) and paste the code in the spoiler into the console. Then, hit enter. Step 3: Type in one of the following:

This is something I've had sitting around 95% complete since November / December and never got around to posting. I originally made it as a sort of fun concept to see how crazy some combinations of exalt powers could be, but ended up trying to balance it to make it playable to some extent. In all likelyhood Chimera work better as NPCs for an SM to throw at their players rather than an actual player exalt, and you may recognize it as the basis for the Chimera in Username's second Shadows of Sigil campaign. In terms of PC usage, I believe it would be probably fun for a oneshot, but dealing with multiple negative core abilities over a long campaign would prove rather frustrating. Changelog:

....Dang. And my seed concept for the "Chimera" is an Alternate Gemini that allows you to emulate Ultimate Kars. Great, now someone will think this sets precedent for even dumber mechanics to be brewed. "But the Chimera is a thing!" must not become an excuse. |

If you're up for making a serious Chimera, go for it! The original name I had pegged for this was "Chimonstronsity" to avoid overlap with the Harrowed PS5 power, Chimera was just more simple and I decided it wouldnt be much of a problem as I didn't see anyone using this exalt for anything than playing with the randomizer or the occasional boss battle. I humbly apologize if this leads to even more godforsaken creations. I should probably make it clearer, that the Chimera is more of an experimental randomization concept than an actual thing. |

Hey, look, I finally get to play Ichigo from Bleach! Serious talk, though, this is probably one of the silliest Exalts I’ve seen. And that’s saying a lot. It would be funny if someone actually decided to play this, though. |
