I like D:tD's gods and alignments, but sadly, they only thing they really do is screw with you when you mess up. There should be a benefit if you gain a really high devotion score. |

There should really be two things to do with Devotion. An Alignment Test, where you try to meet or beat your Devotion on a d10 to see if you lose Devotion for doing something counter to the tenets of your ideology, and an Alignment Check, where you try to roll under your Devotion to resist temptations or outside influences that would go against your ideology. If you're really really strict with yourself, it's easier to avoid fucking up, but harder to justify it to yourself when you do. |

I am not sure if somebody is already working on this, but I wish there was an XP reward for being a mortal hero, perhaps as an optional rule, similar to taking a flaw. I know that at the same level/exp amount that a mortal hero should be weaker than an exalt, which is why I think its a good solution to give them extra xp. This preserves balance and fluff. |

Why not just give them as much of an XP bonus as you'd like? I don't see what good having that specifically written into the book would do, since we already have Paragons preserving said balance/fluff. |
