Things about Pokémon on Legacy High that you need to know: Catching Pokémon - You get one Pokémon to start with, at its most basic form, brought from home, which can be anything but a legendary. - The school may lend you Pokémon for the duration of certain threads such as classes. These are rental Pokémon and do not belong to you. - You can also win a Pokémon by participating in certain events and attending some classes. - Pokémon can be found on school grounds. Level-based evolutions of Pokémon may only appear when the player's average party level is within 5 levels of the evolution. No other forms of evolution may be found in the wild. Leveling Up To level up, a Pokémon needs to have earned three stars, represented by *. Defeat a Pokémon and the victor earns one *. Administrators may award more stars for particularly harrowing battles. Evolution - Level evolutions, move-based evolutions and trade-based evolutions all function exactly the same as they do in the most current games (Black/White). - Location-based evolutions (such as Eevee into Leafeon/Glaceon) can be done with administrator approval until we work out something better. - In the case of other evolutions, please contact an administrator. Hit Points (HP) All Pokémon have a set number of HP that they earn per level. To work out how much HP a Pokémon has, multiply their level by the 'HP per level' they earn on the table found here. Movesets All Pokémon learn all moves up to their current level, called the Natural Set. They may also take two moves of a higher level from their current evolutionary form, known as Advance Moves. When a Pokémon evolves, their Natural Set does not change, and any Advance Moves that are not learned by the new form can be re-selected. TMs and Move Tutor moves fall as part of the Natural Set. Abilities All Pokémon have an Ability, or Abilities, which help them survive. Each Pokémon can only have one of their potential Abilities (excluding Dream World abilities; these must be specially obtained). Other Rules Effort Values and Natures (and their effect on Effort Values) are not used in the Legacy High context. |
