Recently had hte chance to buy this game and it FREAKING RULES!!!! All the original Mega Man games (I > VIII) including 2 never released ones. But unlike the NES/SNES this time there's no need to write down passwords cause the game features an auto save feature if a PS2 8 MB Memory card is inserted into Slot 1. If you've liked the NES/SNES games this one will be a trip down memory lane as you remember old secrets and boss weaknesses. Also you won't need to have many games but instead just one. These games are quite a bit more challenging than Megaman X/X Collection due to the fact that Mega Man only has the Plasma Cannon I > III and not until IV does he get the Mega Buster. Also there is no dash function but rather a slide which he does not gain until III. Anyway, post about and your close cases of wanting to break the game in half. |

Those two games were never released in America, but were made for Japanese arcades.... both being quirky battle games, one a sequel to the other, and the sequel sneakily hints at Dr. Wily creating Zero. Megaman's gun was simply called the buster gun, rather then plasma cannon. It's typically controversial as to which series, original or X, is more challenging. The answer depending on which series you started beating first. Those who started out on the original Megaman say that X is extremely hard despite the extra powers, and likewise for the younger generation who liked X. I have the collection myself, but not that into it. For me, Megaman X was the golden game of the Megaman world.... |

In the original Mega Man I in the weapons list it lists P Cannon which stands for Plasma Cannon, taken straight from the first episode of Mega Man which is also included on the game as a Secret. I personally found it that X was a bit too easy for me...Because Zero's saber is able to do massive amounts of damage to almost any boss not to mention Sigma himself. But what I do like is the fact that you can also use both Protoman and Bass in the A.C. So far I really hate the last Wily fight in IV and the very first Wily Castle level in VIII. |

Well, looking it up, I see that it has been called both the mega buster and the plasma cannon during different times in the series. Yet another plothole of course. Well Zero's not an option in 1 and 2, which are the 2 best in my mind, and in X6 his saber does puny damage. Everybody has trouble with the snowboard in Megaman 8, and that robot voice don't help any. It just takes time. |

In Mega Man the series (gamewise roughtly Mega Man IV) Mega Man get's an upgrade from Dr. Light changing his Plasma Cannon to the more powerful Mega Buster which Protoman already had. I know Zero wasn't included on X-1 & X-2 but even without him X was still able to defeat most of the bosses with ease. I personally didn't really break a sweat (except for Sigma and Seraph Lumine in X-8) playing X but I wanted to break A.C in half cause of all the annoyances. Also the reason Zero did puny damage in X-6 is because his saber was not the original Z-Saber he recieved from Sigma but one he built from his own DNA after being almost destroyed by Sigma in X-5. Especially that snowboard part in VIII and battling Protoman in VII for his ProtoShield. |
