I've had this game for a good few months mainly cause I wanted to see how the demo of FFXII would fare against the actual game. Well in DQ an evil sorcerer frees this staff which contained the powers of this ancient dark God who was sealed in it and the sorcerer, Dhoulmagus, becomes possessed by the dark power and casts an evil spell on the kingdom of Trodain. But only one wasn't affected by the curse Hero (the main character has no lines and no actual name and is referred to as just "Hero". Follows along the lines of Legend of Legaia) who was mysteriously protected from the curse. All others were changed and put into a cold sleep except for King Trode and his daughter Princess Medea who were both transformed into a horse and frog. Hero finds his king and from there they journey to stop Dhoulmagus and reverse the curse. The actual game starts in small forest where you're being attacked and must fend off the attack with Hero and another character named Yangus, the Bandit. |
