For creators: 1. Be clear in what you're asking for in applications. You can't expect people to know, for example, that you want a full family tree when you only ask for their character's name and age. 2. Don't ask for ridiculous amounts of writing in your applications. This site is for RPers of all levels. Not everyone at every level will be able to write essays for character information. 3. Rejecting applications is allowed. However, you have to follow some rules for that too. a. The reasoning must be clear. If you do not give an applicant any way to know how to fix their mistakes, it won't be useful at all. Example of a clear rejection: "Your character doesn't seem to have much of a personality. All they do is smile and say stupid things. Could you possibly add some more information to their personality? Otherwise, I won't accept the application." Example of an unclear rejection: "This won't work." b. Your decisions need to be unbiased. If we see one person get rejected before or after a person who has similar/the same/worse problems than them gets accepted, we'll know something's up. 4. Be clear in what you're expecting to happen in your RP. If you expect extreme violence, warn for it. If you expect smut, warn for it. You don't want people quitting in the middle of an RP because of something unacceptable to them. 5. If you have horrible problems with someone trying to apply that you're just unable to deal with, talk to an admin. For Applicants: 1. Follow whatever rules the creator sets. If you have a problem with any of them, contact an admin. 2. If a creator rejects your application, don't be rude. Follow what they ask for, and if you're unsure, ask them. If they refuse to clarify, talk to the admins about it. 3. If someone you have a problem with gets accepted to the RP, do not bitch at the creator. Either get over it, or quit. Personal problems will not dictate who does or does not post in an RP. More may be added later. |
