I was expecting more grunting, screaming and spiky blonde hair. THAT WORKS IN THE MEANTIME THOUGH. Seriously though that's a pretty awesome breakdown. Can't wait to actually read any of that, haha. |

...Oh yeah actual questions RIGHT. So.... techniques, since I seem to be fixated on those lately! Does Kazu have any favorites to use in normal combat? Jutsu, kido, avatar hax, whatever. |

Techniques depend on what 'arc' we're on. Royalzu uses mostly his Reaper Skills - Shikai, Bankai and Senkai along with a few Kido. His main offensive Ninjutsu would be This Fist of Mine. He can also use most Fire ninjutsu. Empyreanzu forgoes most Ninjutsu, relying on Sword Arts and, after defeating the 11 Tailed Fox, Breaker Arts. Sword Arts are your simple blocking bullets/lasers/what have you, cutting through steel and stone and the oh so iconic, sending out razor sharp blades of wind. The Breaker Arts... Are different. Different to any kind of Nin, Tai or Genjutsu the world has seen. Kazu can use a few without a focus item, or catalyst, but his most power come after obtaining his first Artefact. Artefacts are bits of ancient gear - swords, shields, guns - that hold spirits. Breaker Arts and Breaker Summoning Arts borrow power from, or completely release, the spirirt. The most used would be Breaker Art: Wrath of the Ancient King which is an all consuming inferno sent from the tip of the blade. After Empyreanzu... Well. Things range from "the fuck" to "OH GOD THE WORLD IS ENDING" |

Does he ever. Kazu's main summon would be a Youkai, actually - Vheizar. An almost exact duplicate of Kazu, Vheizar is actually closer to a parasite than anything else - sapping off of Kazu's power to form a body in the Ninja world. Vheizar also has two "brothers", but I haven't worked them out well enough to write about them. Along side that, Kazu has his Breaker Summons. Beings more ancient and complex than most Youkai. Kazu, while wielding one of his Artefacts, can break the veil of reality with a massive flux of Chakra to pull through the spirit that resides within said Artefact, or the spirit that is tied to it. The two most prominent ones would The Knights, and Vastuur, the Tower. The Knights are actually 9 summons in a single go. Nine ghostly horse-men charge from beyond the edge of death, and will run down any hostile that stands before Kazu. Nothing fancy. These Knights are tied to Excalibur, Kazu's first Artefact. Vastuur, the Tower, is as the name implies, a massive warrior - covered head to toe in armour, standing in excess of 15 feet, and a shield even large than he is. Vastuur is a little more complex than the Knights mainly due to his role in battle. Vastuur is there for the sole purpose of defense - his shield is nigh impenetrable and Vastuur himself has limitless endurance. He is also a "snap" summon. The battlefield is empty, you blink, and then you're facing Vastuur. No fancy smoke. No incantations. He's just... there. And may the Goddess help you if you standing against Kazu, or any Empyrean-nin while Vastuur stands watch. Vastuur is tied to the Earth-Shatter shield - an old, heavy shield that can form a reflective barrier in a dome around Kazu - the larger it is, the weaker it is, but it's an effective area of effect shield. There's a summon to each Artefact - and Kazu has hundreds of Artefacts. Trying to name all the summons wouldn't work since I haven't worked them out myself (and some will NEVER get a summon beyond something vauge for spoilerish reasons) |
