1) This is a PG-13 Rated RPG. There will be some explicit scenes like blood, gore, death, and the like, but please avoid taking it to a Restricted Level. We don’t need your erotica fantasies in this game.

2) Respect staff. They know what they’re doing, and have been around longer than you. If you have an issue with a member of staff, either try to handle it quietly, or take it to an Admin/Elder. It will be handled then. But please don’t try and cause drama.

3) Respect the other players. We don’t need disrespect. And that ranges from everything to insults to flaming to racism to outright public abhorrence. If any of these things take away your happiness in this RPG, or you feel threatened in any way, please take it to an admin. I know it may seem silly to put here, but there is no reason to suffer from internet bullying. We will take care of it.

4) As mentioned in Rule 3, try to have fun. This is a role playing GAME, and we expect you to treat it as such. All things related to games apply here. It is fun, has more than one person, is a privilege, etc.

5) In an effort to make this RPG more RP based, the mods are instructed *not* to mod people if they aren't good RPers. So make sure your posts gets over five lines, uses good punctuation, or don't be shocked to find yourself being skipped over. We are a writing site first, Pokemon second.

NOTE: If your post *still* sucks, even with 5+ lines, it still doesn't have to be modded. It is at the Mod's discretion entirely.

6) Don't be link happy on us. There shouldn't be links in your role plays. In the OOC square, this is allowed as long as it isn't a link to pornography or any malicious site. By malicious, I mean viruses and what not. If you do so, you will be IP banned IMMEDIATELY.

As a general rule, do realize that some people may be viewing the site at work. If something in your post is iffy, either by text, video, picture, or a link, put NSFW in the topic title. (Not safe for work) If you are unsure if something falls under that category, than chances are, it isn't something to be opened at work.

VOCABULRY YOU MAY NEED TO KNOW

Mod
1. A moderator, someone who can delete, close, move, and reply to all topics (in boards they moderate) unless otherwise specified. Example, "He's just been promoted to modship."
2. A reply to your journey or a topic that advances it or gives the details and results of your actions in your last post(s). Example, "Can someone mod me?"

Admin
An administrator is a person who has all the powers of a moderator, plus lots more, including banning, member management, access and editing rights to the site's HTML, and the option to not mod you if they don't want to. These are the people who control the board. They run events and keep the Rules in functioning order. The backbone of the site. Also, they have really great hair.

Canon
No, this is not a medieval weapon. Canon means "Part of your journey". Your journey posts, town posts, gym posts, and just about everything starting at "Your House" and going on to the "Corporcana", are all canon, meaning that you can only be in one of them at once (there are occasional exceptions, of course). You cannot be in the Hillmoss Grasslands encountering wild pokemon and battling Boe in the Rose Town gym at the same time, because both are canon. Places like Poketechopia are NON-canon, as you'll see below.

Sprites
You may have seen around the site that we use custom posticons to show the icon of a pokemon or such. You wonder how we do this you ask? Fear not, here is an explanation!

All you have to do is put a ":" in front of the correct name of the pokemon with no caps, or items. If you can't get one to work, you may be spelling it wrong, or it could be under something different. Click "Show All" on the left of your post, and you can find a nice, click-able version there.
So....

Ex. :pikachu = :*pikachu but without the *
:pokeball = :*pokeball but without the *

If you spot an emoticon and want to know the command you need to display it, just simply scroll your mouse over it and keep it there. A little box should appear that tells you the whatever*. If your browser doesn't support this, right click and click "Properties".
