Reds send Kohl Stewart, RHP, Grade B+ Hak-Ju Lee, SS, Grade B Eduardo Rodriguez, LHP, Grade B Braves send RP Jason Grilli 400K (15) SP Jake Peavy 1.5M (15) RP Joe Smith 2.4M (14) I accept. He is gutting his MLB team and I have taking them. Here is how we did this. Stewart for Grilli. Grilli is a little old, but he is also one of the premier closers and I need one bad. Lee for Peavey. Lee had a break out year last year and will probably be starting for the Rays very soon. I needed help with my starting pitchers. Peavy is a solid pitcher. Rodriguez for Smith. Smith is a very good holds guy. Salary may be a little high for a holds guy, but he is one of the higher ranked one. Rodriguez is young guy with a great arm. Has great promise. I break this down exactly like Reds. Grilli I wanted at least a B+ for as he is on a 2 year 400K deal and is a quality closer so fits both our needs in the deal. Peavy/Smith for 2 B prospects, I like Lee and think he is good value for Peavy and same for Smith/Rodriquez. |

Uh...Hak-Ju Lee had a breakout year? Was that before or after the knee injury lol. I suppose he had a "break"-out year. Lee coincidentally is out another month due to a calf strain and given that the Rays signed Yunel Escobar into 2016 I don't see him starting soon. I kinda thought Lee/EdRod's grades were liberal but I'm not Sickels. I don't see anything wrong with the trade aside from the perception though. Grilli is akin to Uehara and the value is limited due to age. 1-0 |
